As always Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima
Chapter 31
The Beginning of the End
~TS ~ One Month ~ July ~ Crocus ~ Last day of the Grand Magic Games ~
Lucy groaned as she sat up in bed, and looked over and saw Nami sound asleep in the bed next to hers. Her hands went to her abdomen as she felt a light series of kicks, only two months left until her due date in September. Lucy glanced over at the clock and sighed, it was 9:30 in the morning, the main event started at noon, they had to leave now if they wanted to beat the rush of people trying to get to the stadium.
Lucy sighed, stood up and walked over to Nami and shook her awake, who sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "Come on. Get up and get dressed or we're going to be late." Nami nodded and they both started to get ready.
Lucy walked out of her room and ran into Cana, holding three week old Cornelia, Gray, Juvia, holding baby Ur, and Loke, who was giving her a strange look.
"Lucy, where is Nami?" Gray asked glancing at her.
"She left a few minutes ago to pick something up, she said she would meet me there." She explained.
"Well, I guess you're walking with us." Lucy nodded and followed them to the area Fairy Tail had reserved.
"Lucy, its been almost two hours and we still haven't seen Nami. Aren't you worried at all? The event is starting soon." Gray said as he stood next to Lucy, who was standing on the edge of the group. Everyone was cheering loudly as each team walked into the stadium, the lacrima screens going crazy trying to show the different Guilds and their teams as they made their entrances.
She shook her head and watched the teams enter, only to let out a scream as someone grabbed a handful of her hair from behind, yanking her head back painfully, drawing the attention of the Guild.
"Where is she!" Someone hissed in her ear, and she smiled.
"Nami! What ar-" She cut Gray off.
"I said, where is she!" Nami growled loud enough for most of the Guild to hear, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Fairy Tail being shown on the screens around the stadium. Team Fairy Tail had made their entrance, and she heard Lucy laugh.
"Its too late! You can't help now! The Fallen will ri-" She was cut off by Nami, who had turned her arm into a blade and ran it through Lucy's back. Several people lunged at Nami, but stopped as Lucy turned to ash right in front of their eyes.
"It has begun..." Nami looked over and saw First Master Mavis standing in front of Fairy Tail, a sad look on her face as she looked over the stadium. Nami, too, looked over the stadium as an eerie hush fell over it. What had just happened was caught on the lacrima screens for everyone to see.
Nami saw herself on the screen and grimaced at the sight, she looked terrible. She had several bruises and scrapes on her arms and legs, a long gash going down her cheek, and she was covered in dirt. She looked out at Team Fairy Tail on the field, saw Erza and Gajeel staring up at her, and she slowly nodded and watched as they paled.
"What has begun?" Makarov asked, looking between Mavis and Nami, who turned and gave him a sad look.
"She has Lucy..." Nami said quietly and staggered a bit when the stadium began to shake, the center of it opening up, and felt her blood run cold when a bloodcurdling scream was echoed though out the stadium.
Nami had just finished getting dressed and was waiting on Lucy when she heard a light knock on the door. She opened it to reveal a woman wearing a long hooded black cloak, two cloaked men standing behind her.
"Hello. Is Lucy Heartfilia in here?" The woman asked in a pleasant voice.
"Yeah... Lucy, someone is here to see you." She opened the door to invite them in and turned to Lucy, but when Lucy saw them Nami watched all the blood drain from her face, and she backed up, knocking an end table over with a crash.
"No, not you..." Lucy said in a low voice, reaching for her keys.
"Oh dear. I guess Leo told you all about me." Nami glanced at the men behind the woman and saw their eyes were pitch black, soulless. "Get them." The woman said at the same time Lucy summoned one of her spirits.
In a flash Lea stood facing Lucy. "Princess Lucy, how can I he-" Lea looked down at her chest and saw a hand coming out of it, and looked up to see the terror on Lucy's face. She looked over her shoulder and saw the woman behind her, giving her a sadistic grin as she pulled her hand out from Lea's back.
"D-draco..." Lea whimpered, her eyes going wide.
"Hello, Lea. I see someone finally found your key. I guess the bottom of the ocean wasn't a good place after all. It does make my plan a lot easier though." Draco smiled as Lea began to disappear. "Be a good little spirit and tell the others that I'm back."
As Lea disappeared Draco turned and nodded at the two men, and Nami felt hands roughly grab her arms. "Make sure she can't use her magic." Her arms were yanked in front of her and she felt cold metal circle her wrists, and looked down so see metal cuffs on them.
"I need copies of them." Draco walked to Lucy and slid a nail down her cheek, drawing blood. She the plucked out one of her own hairs and touched the end of the hair to the drop of Lucy's blood, and seconds later an exact copy of Lucy stood before them.
"Now for the girl." She walked over to Nami, and she felt the sting of Draco's nail going down her cheek. She watched as Draco stared at the drop of her blood on her nail. "A Dragon Slayer. I've never tasted Dragon Slayer blood before, I wonder if it's as sweet as Celestial blood?" Draco stuck her finger in her mouth, but spat the blood out and hissed. "You're not from this time, are you girl?"
Nami gave her a cocky grin, baring her teeth at Draco. "About time you figured that out. Did your minions forget to mention that? I'm here to stop you."
"I can't use your blood, so I have no use for you. Dispose of her." The men started to drag Nami out the door, but she fought them, trying to get the cuffs to her teeth to escape.
"Well, we can't have you making a scene." With a wave of Draco's hand Nami's world went dark.
Nami woke up with a gasp of pain as someone hit her in the gut. "Dragon Slayer? Yeah right. Not so tough without your magic are you?" She heard a man sneer as she cracked open her eyes and took in her surroundings. It was cool and slightly damp, the light coming from lacrimas and she could faintly hear people above her. I must be underground. I need to find Lucy, and fast. She glared at the man in front of her and saw he had turned away from her to talk to the other man, heard them laugh.
"Come on!" Nami taunted them. "Hit me again, I fucking dare you!" Both men turned and glared at her, and one started walking towards her. Wow I really do sound like Dad. As his boot came flying at her she grabbed it and jerked it to the side, knocking him off balance, making him crash to the floor. As quick as she could she brought her wrists up to her teeth and bit through the iron circling them.
"You guys are idiots." She muttered as she turned her arms into iron clubs and made short work of the men, wasting no time getting free. As she navigated through the cave system she found the exit, an empty corridor in what looked like the stadium, she could hear the roar of the crowd. As Nami followed the noise she entered the stadium, right behind where the entire Guild was gathered, and spotted the fake Lucy off to the side of the group, her back to Nami, talking to Gray.
Draco, you will pay for this. I won't let you win. Nami had a murderous look in her eyes as she stalked to the fake.
~~ Spirit World ~~
Laxus was relaxing in the pool, he could feel that his magic was almost restored completely. I'm going to be home soon. He looked out around the spirit world, it seemed so peaceful, but the peace was shattered when Lea came back, appearing before him.
Lea looked terrified, and Laxus could see an injury healing in her chest. She took a breath and let out an ear splitting shriek, causing Laxus to cover his ears and all the spirits to materialize around her.
"Lea! What's happened!?" Leo asked as he shook her shoulders.
"Draco..." She whispered and all the spirits flinched.
"What about Draco?"
"She has her..." Lea looked up at all of them with tears in her eyes. "She has Lucy... I couldn't do anything... I was the first one she could think of and I was useless against Draco."
Laxus watched as all the spirits paled at her words, and froze as he realized Lucy was in terrible danger. He watched as Leo concentrated and then frowned.
"Our keys have been sealed, we can't leave here." Leo said in a low tone.
"What does that mean!" Laxus yelled out while standing. "What will happen to Lucy?"
"I don't know..." Leo said sadly, not looking at Laxus.
"Isn't there something you can do?" Laxus struggled to get out to the pool, trying to get past the force that was keeping him in the pool, but was knocked back by Lea, who pinned him against the side of the cliff at the back of the pool, his feet just barely dangling in the pool.
"You don't think we care about Lucy! I saw the look in her eyes when Draco ran her hand through me! I saw how terrified she was!" She pressed Laxus harder into the wall, and he watched as her eyes kept flashing between hazel and silver. "I've spent five hundred of your years stuck here, not knowing what happened to me that made me stuck here, only hearing stories of your world but never able to go there. Then Leo tells me about his new friend, Lucy, about how kind and strong she was, and all I could think about is what it would be like if she found my key. Then, after five hundred years of waiting, someone finally finds my key and its her, its Lucy, but then I remembered everything Draco had done. I don't want that to happen again, never again."
Lea let him go and he slid into the pool. "Lucy gives us all hope and strength, if we could do something we would. Never forget that, Laxus." Lea brushed away her tears and joined the other spirits, and Laxus looked at all the spirits gathered there.
Lucy is loved by so many, in this world and in ours. Yet so many depend on her as well. Laxus watched as all the spirits froze suddenly, and they all looked up towards the sky.
"Do you feel that..." Leo asked in a low voice, and several spirits nodded.
"What do you want with me?" Lucy asked as the two men took Nami, and Draco smiled.
"Come quietly with me, right now, and I'll tell you. If you don't, I'll have to use force." Draco held out her hand, and Lucy reluctantly put her keys into it, and watched as a sphere of magic circled them. "That takes care of them for now, now to take care of you." Draco waved her hand and everything went black.
Lucy woke up and panicked, she had no clue where she was. She tried to move but her arms were chained above her, stretched out and each of them chained to a pillar on either side of her.
"So, you finally woke up. Good, I was getting bored." Draco said in a bored voice and stepped into the light so Lucy could see her.
"What the hell do you want with me!" She yelled, tugging at the chains.
"Haven't you figured it out yet? I am the Fallen, I am the leader of the Organization who has been hunting you. All the mages, those pathetic humans, couldn't even catch you. I gave them one task and they failed." She walked closer to Lucy and ran a nail up her arm, drawing blood and licking it clean. "All I wanted was one thing, your death. I could kill you now, but that would be too easy, and not as fun. I want everyone to watch as their hope, their Light dies, the fact that you are with child makes it even sweeter, just think of how hard they'll try to save you."
"Why me?" Lucy spat at Draco, tugging at the chains once again.
"Why you? Isn't it obvious?" Draco grinned wickedly at Lucy, running her nail along the other arm, leaving a deeper gash this time, and she struggled not to scream, she wasn't going to give Draco the satisfaction of seeing or hearing her pain. "You, the one who is loved by both humans and spirits, you are the only one I could possibly use. When you die the humans will be weakened by their grief, I can take out anyone who resists, starting with all the mages in Fairy Tail, then moving onto the other mages. As for the spirits, once you die so will their hope. If they don't follow me then, I'll just have to kill them."
Lucy laughed, confusing Draco for a moment. "Don't underestimate Fairy Tail, Draco. We fairies are known to become stronger when we have something to fight for." Her head cracked to the side as Draco hit her, raking her nails across her face and she tasted blood.
"You foolish human!" Draco spat at her. "There is no hope left for you!" She leaned in close to Lucy, her face inches away. "You will die! There is no one left to help you!"
Lucy smiled and spat a mouthful of blood onto Draco's enraged face. "You're wrong. The moment you caused that train wreck all those months ago, the moment you decided to hunt me, the moment those daggers hit Laxus, there was no hope for you, Draco."
Draco's red eyes scanned Lucy, and she smiled as she raised her arms, and the ceiling above them shook and started to open. "Your screams are pointless down here. I guess its time to let everyone hear them." As the pillars started to rise, pulling Lucy up with them, Draco took her nails and raked them down each of Lucy's arms, causing her to scream out in pain, the blood dripping down her arms. Draco smiled as Lucy's screams were magnified so everyone in the stadium above could hear them.
Hi everyone! Me again! If you liked it let me know and leave a review. **Don't worry, Draco gets what's coming to her, *evil grin* you'll just have to wait and find out!**
