Loooong time no see! Sorry, guys, I'm on summer break, so updates will be slightly more sporadic. But I'll keep posting nonetheless :)
Hope you enjoy this one!
(And also, to my American readers, first of all- happy Fourth of July! Second, congrats on marriage equality, y'all!)
Hugs
Hugs.
Hugs are the thing that keeps Blaine moving. They allow him to share his happiness on good days, drown his sadness on bad days, or help him relax on one of those days.
Hugs from his mom were the one thing throughout his childhood that managed to calm him down when he scraped his knee or was insulted at school. Those hugs are long, and tender, and he sinks into the safety of her arms comfortably.
Hugs from Cooper are what signifies the end of a fight or argument. Blaine used to hook his chin on Cooper's shoulder before he became too tall to do that; now he presses his face against Cooper's chest and allows himself to smile.
Hugs from Tina are an everyday occurrence- usually accompanied by a squeal of "hi!" and a whiff of her perfume. He doesn't mind Tina's hugs; they're pleasant and short and sweet.
Blaine loves hugs, but the absolute best hugs? Hugs from Kurt.
Oh, hugs from Kurt. They're there at the end of a date, with a sweet kiss to follow. They knock him back with force when he does something Kurt thinks is particularly cute. They let him be held, let him feel loved, at the end of a long and tiring day. He can hide his face on Kurt's shoulder and cry or kiss his neck and smile or rest his chin on Kurt's shoulder and grin like a crazy person.
Yeah, hugs are what keeps Blaine moving. And he always knows where to go when he needs one.
