Chapter 33

The Impossible

Lucy watched as Nami's eyes closed, her hand falling limp to her side, and she began to fade away. Not someone else dying for me... As Nami completely disappeared Draco began to laugh, and she pulled out Lucy's keys, taunting her with them.

"You never had a chance, my souls will keep coming back, unlike everyone around you." She told Lucy as she walked closer to her. "Its time to watch everyone you care about die. Oh! I know, how about I bring a friend over to meet you?" She disappeared for a second then reappeared next to Lucy, her hand gripping Yukino by her throat.

"No! Leave her alone!" Lucy yelled as she struggled to stand, and saw Yukino's eyes widen as Draco whispered something into her ear. "What did you tell her?"

"Oh, nothing that important." She stroked Yukino's cheek with her nail. "Just that I was the one who caused that bridge to collapse on her all those years ago. Unfortunately it didn't kill her like I had planned, but she did give up her magic to save her child, which is somewhat like I planned. I needed all the Zodiac keys to be with one human for my plan, but I didn't even imagine that all the jeweled keys would be together as well."

"Let her go!" Lucy yelled at Draco. "Its me you want, leave her out of this!"

"Oh no, human. I want all of your hope to vanish before I kill you, the future child only delayed me a bit. Watch as everyone around you dies. My lost souls will rip them to pieces." Draco smiled as more began to appear, going after everyone in the stadium.

No... Lucy watched as everyone began to fight again. She watched as Erza was knocked out of the sky, as Gajeel, Natsu and Gray were surrounded, as Wendy fought to protect Chelia, who was unmoving on the ground. She watched as Bacchus fought his way over to Juvia, who was protecting an unmoving Cana, as Freed, Evergreen, and Bickslow fought alongside again, not know if this would be their last fight together.

"No..." Lucy whispered as Draco threw Yukino to the side, where she landed heavily on the ground, unmoving, and she started to stalk towards Lucy. Lucy felt her magic begin to build inside of her, all around her, felt the key on her neck grow hot. "Noo!" Her scream was echoed through the stadium, her magic swirling all around her, her hair flying around in the current of magic that lifted her off the ground. She opened her eyes and glared at Draco, who stepped back in shock when she saw the white magic circles in them, and flinched when Lucy's keys went flying out of her hand.

One by one each key started to circle Lucy, a small white magic circle appearing from each key. Soon they were all circling her, and a magic circle appeared from the key around her neck. Lucy broke the chain, freeing the key, and cupping her hands around the floating key she began to chant.

"I am one blessed by the Heavens,

I am one who has lived through pain."

Draco backed away from Lucy as she was surrounded by a brilliant white aura.

"By the Justice of the Heavens'

By the Power of the twelve Zodiac,

By the Might of the Thirteenth Gate,

And by the Trust of the sixteen Jeweled,

I call upon your Gate!

Open, Gate of the Heavens!

Open, Gate of the Spirit King!"

Lucy felt the magic pressure swell around her, and watched as Draco backed away in fear as a giant door formed behind her, made entirely out of a whit light. As Lucy fell to the ground the door opened, and she was caught by someone.

"Hello, Princess." Leo looked down at her as he placed her on the ground, and then glared over at Draco. One by one all of her spirits walked through the door, even Ophiuchus came through the door.

"This is impossible!" Draco hissed, but went flying sideways as Lea appeared out of nowhere and kicked her in the side.

"No, Draco." Leo growled as the other spirits began to surround Draco. "This is what happens when you try to take Lucy's life, and you won't survive now that we're here. We have no problem with destroying you now. O Regulus, lend me your strength." He called out as his fists lit up with light, and he rushed at Draco, slamming one into her gut, causing her to double over.

Lucy watched in awe as each of her spirits landed a blow on Draco, even peace loving Aries and Lepus attacked with their magic. Soon, though, Draco began to laugh.

"Where is your King? Didn't that human call him?" Draco laughed louder as the spirits glared at her. "Of course he doesn't come, he's weak! Just like yo-"

"Are you looking for me?" A voice thundered from above and Lucy looked up to see the Spirit King looking down at Draco, a spark of anger in his eyes.

"I see now that I was wrong to banish you, you have caused far too much pain and sorrow in this world to ever be forgiven." He looked down at Lucy and nodded to her. "Friend, we need your help to finish her, the spell will come to you."

Lucy nodded as she felt the magic swirl around her, lifting her up once again.

"By the Powers of the Heavens,

I condemn you, Draco, the Fallen Star.

You will no longer walk in this World,

You will no longer cause pain,

You will no longer exist at all.

By the Powers of the Heavens,

I end your existence!"

Lucy spread her arms out wide, trails of white magic following them, and as a blinding white light engulfed the stadium Draco's screams could be heard by everyone, and then silence at last.

As the last of Lucy's spirits returned to the spirit world she looked up at the Spirit King with a smile.

"It is good to see you again, Friend." He said with a smile.

"It is good to see you too, Mustache Man." She reached her hand up to him, and as he reached down she placed her hand on the tip of his finger. "How is Laxus?" She breathed and he laughed lightly.

"He is very stubborn, but he is kind and cares greatly for you."

"Heh... Tell him to... get his ass... home..." Lucy said as everything faded in front of her and she fell backwards.

"Is she going to be okay?" Erza asked as she carried Lucy to the infirmary, quickly following Wendy as they made their way through the halls.

"I don't know..." She said in a tight voice. "I've never seen Lucy use that much magic before, and I'm afraid something might have happened to her babies." Wendy opened the door in front of them and ordered Erza to put Lucy done on the bed. "Quick, go see if you can find Chelia. I'm going to need her help." Erza nodded and quickly left, and Wendy turned to Lucy and let her magic surround the woman.

"Come on Lucy! Don't you dare give up! If you give up now everyone who fought for you today will be heartbroken!" Wendy yelled at her as she increased her magic. As sweat ran down her brow the door opened and a banged up Chelia walked in. Taking one look at Wendy and Lucy she nodded and combined her magic with Wendy's, and after a moment they saw Lucy's hand twitch a bit.

"Come on Lucy." Chelia whispered. "Don't give up!" They both increased their magic and continued to heal Lucy as Cana was brought in by Bacchus and Juvia, and placed on one of the beds. It wasn't until after Yukino was brought in by Sting ten minutes after Cana that they stopped and sat back, panting.

They had managed to get her breathing and heart rate steady, along with the babies heartbeats, but she still hadn't woken up.

"We need to work on the others in here, at least a little." Wendy said and Chelia nodded and walked over to Yukino, Wendy walking to Cana.

"Lucy, please be okay..." Wendy whispered softly as she started to heal Cana.

~~ TS ~~ 3 weeks ~~ end of July ~~ Magnolia ~~

Lucy squinted as she opened her eyes, blinded by the light coming from the window. Slowly she sat up and sighed. Its too damn quite in this house. I had gotten used to Nami living here.

Lucy glanced over at the clock an panicked. Shit! I'm supposed to be at Cardia Cathedral in fifteen minutes. Cana is going to kill me! As quick as she could she got up and put on the simple sun dress Cana had picked out for her. It was a pale lavender with thin straps, a gauze like material covering the skirt, trailing behind Lucy a bit as she made her way out the door. She was glad Cana had picked out a pair of flats for her to wear and not heels like everyone else. Using the comm. lacrima she called ahead and told Cana she would be a bit late as she rushed as quick as she could to Cardia Cathedral.

Lucy made it, and with a sigh of relief she walked into one of the rooms of the cathedral.

"Its about time you got here. Sit." Erza said as Lucy walked in, pointing at a chair. "I wish you could use Cancer right now..." She muttered as she attacked Lucy's hair with combs and pins, and Levy moved in front of her to do her make-up. As they finished Levy moved to the side so Lucy could look in the mirror, and Lucy smiled at them. The two had done an amazing job. Her hair was pulled up in an elegant bun, a small strand of light lacrimas set into her hair, her eyes ringed in pale lavenders, her lips a light pink.

"You look beautiful." Mira said as she walked in with Juvia, all of the women dressed in pale lavender dresses similar to Lucy's, the only difference was Lucy's growing belly.

"Its about time the Maid of Honor is ready!" Cana said with a laugh as she walked in. She looked stunning, her chocolate brown curls were pulled away from her face and trailing down her back. She was wearing a beautiful strapless mermaid dress that showed off her curves. She held a small bouquet out to Lucy and smiled. "Come on! My man is waiting for me!"

With a laugh Lucy stood up and took it, following the women out into the waiting area, and stood next to Cana as the other women walked through the doors before her. Lucy didn't realize she was glowing, a soft white aura, until Cana reached over and gave her hand a light squeeze.

"Laxus will come home, Lucy. Just give it a bit more time."

"I know he will. They say he's getting stronger every hour, but I can't wait much longer... I know he will be a little sad that I lost his ring... Are you sure no one found it when I broke that chain?"

"We're sure." Gildarts said as he came over and stood next to Cana. "Are you okay, Lucy?"

Lucy nodded her head and smiled at him. "I'm fine, Gildarts, my magic is still acting up a bit, so if I start glowing the ceremony, Cana, I'm sorry." She grinned as Cana laughed, and walked through the doors. Laxus, hurry home...

~~ TS ~~ one week ~~ Guild ~~

Lucy sighed as she went through one of the boxes in the storage room, Mira had run out of fire crackers for Ashley, and Lucy went to look for a box in one of the basement storage rooms as Mira got her milkshake ready. After she found a box she was walking down the hall when she heard someone talking in one of the rooms, she stopped to listen out of curiosity and realized it was Nami. She opened the door to find Nami sitting on one of the boxes.

"Nami, sweetie, who were you just talking to?" She asked the little girl, looking around and seeing no one.

"My new friend. Her name is Fate."

"Really?" Lucy held out her hand and Nami took it, and they walked back up to the main floor. "What did she tell you?"

"I can't tell, it's a secret." Nami said as she let go of her hand and ran off. With a sigh Lucy walked back to the bar and handed Mira the box of crackers, and tugged at the shirt she was wearing over a pair of shorts as she waited for her milkshake. She had gotten so big recently, and unable to ask Virgo for any clothes and not wanting to go shopping, she had been left only one option, go through Laxus's stuff. She had picked out one of his black sleeveless tops, and it was a little loose on her, but she didn't mind, loose was better than tight.

Mira handed Lucy her shake and she took a sip and smiled, for some reason it always reminded her of Laxus. She looked to Mira to thank her, but saw her frozen, her hand covering her mouth, staring at the open doors of Fairy Tail, and Lucy noticed all of Fairy Tail was silent.

"Oi, Mira!" Lucy heard someone call, felt her heart skip a beat. It can be... "Where's my party?" Lucy turned and the glass fell from her hand, shattering all over the floor, the entire Guild watching her.

"Laxus..." Lucy breathed, her hand going to her abdomen. He's home!
