Chapter 4 - Team Rocket, Virdian Forest, More Pokemon and Egg hatching.

BOOM!

The sound was heard all over the place making people look at the entrance. There they saw a woman with red long hair wearing a white top that reached into her chest that has a sign letter ''R''. her bottom is a white skirt. Second is a man with shoulder-lenght blue violet hair wearing a white t-shirt with a letter ''R" and long white pants. he also wears a black shirt underneath. The third was a pokemon. This Pokemon is a small, feline Pokémon with cream-colored fur that turns brown at the tips of its hind paws and tail. Its ovoid head features four prominent whiskers, wide eyes with slit pupils, and a gold oval coin embedded in its forehead. Its ears are black with brown interiors, and are flanked with an additional pair of long whiskers. It has a tail that is curled tightly.

Ash scanned the pokemon with his pokedex

Meowth, The Scratch cat Pokemon. All it does is sleep during the daytime. At night, it patrols its territory with its eyes aglow. This Pokemon is Male and has the ability Moves: Scratch, Fury Swipes, Growl and Bite.

''Prepare for trouble!'' the woman said

''Make it double!'' the man said

''To protect the world from devastation!''

''To unite all peoples within our nations!''

''To denounce the evil of truth and love!''

''To extand our reach from the stars above!''

''Jessie!'' the now knowned Jessie said

''James!'' the man named James said

''Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!'' Jessie continued

''Surrender now, or prepare to fight!'' James said

''Meowth that's right!'' Meowth ended

''That Meowth can talk?!'' Ash said astonished

''Hmmm I get that a lot.'' Meowth shrugged before settling into a smirk ''Now give us your pokemon or we will take them by force!''

''Why would you go here? This is the home of sick pokemon!'' Nurse Joy protested

''So what. Maybe one of those trash is a rare pokemon.'' Jessie sneered

''That's it! I hate people like you! all you ever did was steal and hurt pokemon. I'm going to beat you!'' Ash yelled angrily

''Hahahahha As if you can defeat us.'' James laughed ''well if you insist.'' Jessie and James pulled out a pokeball and threw them revealing an ekans and a koffing.

Ekans is a purple, serpentine Pokémon. Its eyes, underbelly, stripe, and rattle are yellow. Ekans has three pairs of black lines encircling its body, as well as another line that connects each slitted eye and curves toward its nose. Its large mouth has a round, pink tongue and no visible teeth.

Koffing is a spherical Pokémon filled with toxic gasses. It has vacant eyes and a wide mouth that usually has two pointed teeth in the upper jaw. However, a full set of teeth has been seen in the anime. Below is face is a cream-colored skull-and-crossbones marking. Several crater-like protrusions, which usually release a yellowish gas, cover this Pokémon's body. Its purple skin is very thin, and over inflation can cause it to explode.

Ash took out his pokedex and scanned them.

Ekans,The Snake Pokemon.A very common sight in grassland, etc. It flicks its tongue in and out to sense danger in its surroundings. This Ekans is Female and has the ability Moves: Bite, Poison Sting, Leer, and Wrap

Koffing,The Poison Gas Pokemon. It's thin, balloon-like body is inflated by horribly toxic gases. It reeks when it is nearby. This Koffing is Male and has the ability Levitate.Known Moves: Tackle, Poison Gas,Smog, and Smokescreen.

Ash closed his Pokedex and got ready to fight them. ''Charmander,Rattata come out and fight!''Ash yelled letting his fire and normal type pokemon out of their pokeball. Charmander and Rattata growled and began to take fighting stance.

''Ekans use Posion Sting at that Rattata!'' Jessie commanded. Ekans fired needle-like poison from her mouth which Rattata dodge but James was prepared for it. ''Quick
Koffing use Tackle at that mouse!'' While Rattata was dodging, he didn't notice Koffing behind and attacked him in full force which lead to Rattata screaming in pain.

''Rattata! Are you ok?'' Ash said worried. Rattata nodded feeling hurt from that attack.''Man this is going to be harder than i thought it would be... but I beat five members of team rocket a while ago. Maybe because I attacked them with full force with the teamwork of my pokemon.'' Ash thought quickly before his mind clicked ''I got it!''

''Charmander use Growl! Rattata use Quick attack, both of them!'' Ash yelled. Charmander let out a deafening growl making Ekans and Koffing lower their attack. Rattata ran at them with full speed and hit them both making both poison type grunted in pain.

Jessie growled and yelled ''Ekans use wrap!'' ''Koffing use Poison Gas'' James continued Ekans swiftly wrap Charmander, squeezing the life out of it. Koffing release a
purple toxic around Rattata making him poisoned. ''I really hate poison types.'' Ash thought ''Charmander use Bite! Rattata endure it and use Fury Swipes at Koffing!'' Charmander followed his master's command and bite Ekans hard. The Snake Pokemon hissed in pain''Charmander finish it with Ember!'' Charmander panted but did it anyway, letting out a small bits of fire. Ekans cannot take it anymore and was knocked out. Jessie angrily returned Ekans ''James, you better win this.''

''Koffing quick dodge and use Tackle at that Charmander'' James commanded. Koffing quickly dodge his opponent's Fury Swipes and attack Charmander. Charmander cannot stand up anymore and fainted.''Charmander return! You did your best'' Ash said returning his fallen pokemon. ''This is the first time one of my pokemon got knocked out...''Ash thought ''It's ok. Everyone has to lose sometimes.''

''I will avenge you Charmander.'' Rattata thought with determination. Suddenly,Rattata is surrounded with crimson aura around his body and growling at his opponent.
Ash was shocked and thought ''Guts! I almost forgot about Rattata's ability and he was poisoned.'' ''Rattata attack with Full power Quick attack into Bite!'' Rattata nodded and use quick attack to get closer, using his large teeth he bite Koffing with no mercy. Koffing groaned in pain and fell with swirls in his eyes. Team Rocket returned their pokemon and shouted ''Then we'll just take it with our own hands''

Ash shook his head and thought ''They may be good in battling but in action, they're very dumb'' ''Pikachu use Thunderbolt!'' Pikachu nodded, finally getting some action. Pikachu fired a bolt of electricity at them making them scream in pain and blast off. ''Team Rocket is blasting off again!''

Rattata panted and fell at the ground. Ash picked up his pokemon and smiled ''You were awesome out there,you've really improved'' Rattata smiled and let uncounciousness cover him.

''Thank you Ash for saving the pokemon center'' Nurse Joy thanked the young boy ''To repay you I will heal your Rattata and Charmander.'' she smiled taking the pokeball from Ash

''No Problem Nurse Joy and thank you.'' Ash said smiling back. Then, he began to think,''I should ask Professor Oak for permission to have at least 10 pokemon with me.'' Ash began to go to the phone and contact Professor Oak. After a few minutes he answered ''Why hello Ash it's good to see you''

'' It's good to see the back of your head too Professor Oak'' Ash chuckled. ''Oh sorry, wrong camera.'' Professor Oak said sheepishly and fixed it '' There. Now what do you need Ash my boy.''

''Well I'm asking if i can carry at least 10 pokemon with me.'' Ash asked pleadingly

''But first, why?'' Professor Oak questioned the young trainer. ''I want to train all of my pokemon.I already have a complete six pokemon with me. I don't want them feel neglected and I'm also catching some pokemon in Virdian Forest.'' Ash answered his question

''Ok ash. But if I hear you having trouble, I will not hesitate to cancel that. Now put your Pokedex in the slot and let me do the work.'' Professor Oak said seriously. Ash nodded and put the Pokedex in the slot.

''There you have it. Be careful with your journey Ash and good luck.'' Professor said before ending the smiled and begam to rest at the a few hours of resting, Ash decided to go to Virdian forest to Pewter city.

Virdian Forest

Virdian forest has thick trees that you cannot get away so easily. It's like a maze. But it can be a perfect training ground. Ash found a clearing and decided to train today is speed training, Ash thought a very useful training method and let out all of his pokemon. all of the pokemon roared in anticipation, ready for training. Ash chuckled and said '' Alright guys, today is speed training.I have planned all of your training method in the exception of Charmander, Gyarados and Ho-oh. Rattata and Pikachu use quick attack on those tress. Don't stop until I say so. Pidgeotto you also use quick attack except here in land and not in air. Charmander, Gyarados, and Ho-oh come with me.''

Charmander, Ho-oh, and Gyarados nodded and followed him, leaving the other pokemon to train. Ash stopped and and turned around ''Ok since none of you know and speed attacks, I'm going to throw you some rocks and you try to attack. This will increase your speed of attack and reaction.''

After Ash said that, he began to throw some small rocks while they attack with ember(Charmander), hydro pump( Gyarados), flamethrower(Ho-oh). Ash threw another rock, but it hit a small pokemon. This small pokemon is a green caterpillar with yellow ring-shaped markings down the sides of its body. It also has large
yellow eyes with black pupils. Its most notable characteristic is the bright red antenna on its head.

Ash thought '' A Caterpie? Might as well catch it." Ash pulled out a pokeball and tucked it on the caterpie's head. The ball twitched for a while before it ding. Ash sweatdropped of how weak it is ''Oh well, a little training will make this pokemon strong.'' he thought confidently. ''Come on out!'' Ash yelled letting Caterpie out of his pokeball. Caterpie looked around and saw Ash. When he saw Ash, he nuzzled his head on Ash's leg. Ash smiled and scanned Caterpie with his Pokedex.

Caterpie, The Worm Pokemon. It is covered with a green skin. When it grows, it sheds the skin, covers itself with silk, and becomes a cocoon. This Caterpie is Male and has the ability Shield Dust. Known Moves:Tackle and String Shot.

''Alright Caterpie I want you to use string on the rocks that I will throw to it?'' Ash instructed immediately starting Caterpie's training.''Charmander, Gyarados, and Ho-oh please tell the others to stop and come over here to rest.'' he said to his other pokemon. They nodded and ran to the other side other training ground

Few hours later

All of them were tired from the speed training and decided to rest. Ash looked at his watch that Professor Oak gave to him when he turned 9.

Flashback

''Happy birthday Ash!'' His mom greeted with his other friends and neighbors.

''Thank you so much all of you!'' Ash said happily '' One more birthday then I will become a pokemon trainer!'' he said. Everyone laughed at the birthday boy's enthusiasm. Professor walked towards Ash and handed him a blue watch with a pokeball sign at the top.

''Happy Birthday ash! This is my gift to you. I call it the Pokewatch. It will help you when you become a trainer. It has a map, a videocam and you can call people from far away
if you have their number.''

Ash's eyes sparkled and said '' Thank you very much Professor Oak! I owe you one.''

Professor chuckled and said ''It's not a big deal it's your birthday after all.''

Ash thanked Professor again and have fun to the other kids.

End Flashback

Ash smiled at the memory and saw it was still 5:00pm. They have enough time to set their campsite. Suddenly, a flash of light green appeared and stole his egg beside his backpack. ''Hey!'' Ash yelled startling his pokemon stopped and faced Ash. This pokemon is a bipedal, insectoid creature. It is primarily green with cream accents between its body segments. On the back of its somewhat reptilian head are three points, and it has narrow eyes. Its forearms consist of large, white its thighs are spikes of fur, and it has three clawed toes on its large feet. Two pairs of cream-colored wings extend from its back.

''Scyyyther!'' the pokemon growled. Ash was shocked, Scythers are very rare in Virdian forest. He snapped out of his shock and said to Scyther ''Please give me back my egg. That egg is very important to me''

Scyther looked at Ash's eyes and said confidently ''I want to get stronger. I only took your egg to gain your attention. I want you to battle me if you are worthy to be my trainer.''

Ash nodded, understanding '' I will. I choose you Pikachu.'' Pikachu nodded and get into battle stance. Scyther lay the egg besides the other pokemon and got into battle stance as well.

''Pikachu, start things off with Thunderwave.'' Pikachu let out a small torrent of electricity but scyther dodged the thunder wave with ease as he used quick attack towards Ash gave another command, scyther hit Pikachu with full force. ''This Scyhter has more speed than i thought.'' ash thought.

''Pikachu hide into the trees while using quick attack.'' Ash said, formulating a plan on his head. Pikachu followed what ash said and hid in the trees while using qiuick attack. Scyther looked around confusingly as he tried to hit Pikachu with steel wing but with no progress.

''Now Pikachu use Thunderwave!'' Ash yelled. Pikachu suddenly got out of the trees and let out another small torrent of electricity but this time it hit scyther as he was paralyzed.

''Finish this with Electro ball!'' Ash shouted. ''You got it!'' Pikachu yelled to ash. PIkachu formed a ball of electricity through his tail and fired at Scyther. Scyther was hit with full force and got knocked out.

''Let's go Pokeball!'' Ash threw a pokeball to scyther and sucked it with a red beam. The ball twitched violently but ended with a ding. ''Welcome to the family scyther.'' ash smiled ''Good work out there Pikachu!'' he said to his yellow pokemon. Pikachu just rubbed his head sheepishly

''Now let's scan our new buddy.'' Ash said taking out his pokedex

Scyther, The Mantis Pokemon. It's ninja-like agility and speed can create the illusion that there is more than one of itself. This Scyther is Male and has the ability Swarm. Known Moves: Quick Attack, Steel wing,Focus Energy,and Fury Cutter. Note: Steel wing is an egg move.

Ash whistled ''We sure are lucky right guys?'' All of his pokemon nodded. They saw the sun setting and began to set their camp. Suddenly they heard a crack, Ash began to look around and saw it was the egg!

Ash called his pokemon to know what kind of pokemon will appear. More cracks were heard as they saw what kind of pokemon it is. The pokemon is a small yellow canine Pokémon. Its has black legs and torso, a yellow tail, and a blue collar. It has rounded bumps on the backs of its forepaws. It has a black "mask" and red eyes.

''Rioluuu?'' the newly hatched pokemon said

''Oh my lord Arceus! it's a shi-shiny riolu!'' Ash shuttered ''Riolus are very rare here in Kanto and are only seen in the Sinnoh region!'' he exclaimed

''Ash calm down!'' Ho-oh said ''It must be sent for a reason'' (hint,hint)

''Are you my daddy?'' riolu said looking at ash. Ash smiled and said ''Yes. but first, to be a family you must be sucked into this pokeball. Understand?''

Riolu nodded happily and the touched the center of the pokeball. Ash took out his pokeball and scan riolu

Riolu, The Emanation aura that emanates from its body intensifies to alert others if it is afraid or sad. This Riolu is Male and has the ability Inner Focus.Known Moves:quick attack,Endure,and Blaze kick. Note: Blaze kick is an egg move.

Ash nodded happily and said to his pokemon. ''Ok guys tomorrow we're going to Pewter city after training. Now let's eat!'' Today's food for pokemon are pokechow
with oran berries sprinkled around it. All of Ash pokemon dug in their food very fast even riolu and scyther. Ash laughed and began to eat some soup. After eating, Ash returned all of his pokemon except riolu and pikachu.

''Today sure is an eventful day isn't it pikachu?'' Ash said ''Yeah...'' Pikachu said sleepily.

''Hey ash, can i also train tomorrow?'' Riolu said hopefully. ''Maybe but not too much.'' Ash said as riolu cheered. They all began to sleep with the stars twinkling around the sky.

FINALLY! I finished it. If you think giving ash a shiny riolu might be a bit OP. but no, riolu has purpose in the future chapter same with Ho-oh. I made Team rocket a bit stronger because I hate how they're always weak. They're just an annoyance to Ash in the canon but with them stronger, it will help ash's pokemon grow. Please review and I hope to make another chapter :)
