As the sun beamed through her bedroom window, Lindsey fidgeted as she tried to block the sun out of her eyes. Sighing, she opened them sleepily before noticing the position she was in, the whole reality of the night before came rushing over her.

"I thought we were just friends?" Freddie whispered, Lindsey resting her forehead against his.

"Let's forget about that. I want you and I know you want me."

She leant up and crushed her their lips together, him reciprocating as the pair found their way to Lindsey's room.

Looking up from where she had been asleep on Freddie's chest, she saw him wide awake and looking down at her.

"Morning." He spoke quietly.

"Morning." She replied awkwardly, moving to sit up.

"About last night…" The pair said in unison, glancing at eachother.

"You go." She added.

"Whatever it was, it was a mistake. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gone through with it."

"A mistake, yeah." She whispered reluctantly. "Let's just forget about it and move on?"

"I think that's best."

Lindsey nodded, turning to look at Freddie for a moment before they both quickly jumped out of bed, grabbing their clothes from the floor and getting dressed.

"You slept with Freddie? On the night you broke up with your boyfriend of a year, Freddie's brother?" Keeley said, working it all out having just heard from Lindsey.

"Yes, that's exactly it. God, what have I done?" Lindsey spoke, placing her head in her hands.

"It ain't that bad! I mean, you wanted it didn't you? And he wanted it?"

"Maybe a little bit but –"

"But what? I've seen the way you look at him, the way you ran off with him last night without a doubt."

"He offered me a shoulder to cry on, a takeaway and a cheesy chickflick, couldn't say no could I?"

"You invited him back to yours! You didn't have to do it but you did so why you moaning about it?"

"Because it's mean on Joe. I only just broke up with him and I've gone and slept with his brother."

"Stop fretting. You and Joe have split up, gone, done. You and Freddie might end up together, who knows?"

"Wonderful words of advice, thanks Kee." Lindsey said sarcastically, exhaling loudly.

Pulling up outside the Roscoe's, Lindsey climbed out of her car and locked it up as she made her way to the door. She had to pick up the remainder of her things and was hopeful that neither Joe or Freddie answered the door. She knocked gently, waiting for an answer.

"Linds." Joe said, pulling the door open.

"I'm just here to get my stuff, I've got nothing to say to you." Lindsey replied sternly, stepping into the house.

"Lindsey! You alright, love?" Sandy called out from the kitchen.

"Fine thanks, Sands. I just need to get my things." She shouted to her, pushing past Joe and heading upstairs.

"Alright, you go ahead!" She added, walking over to Joe. "I think you should go out, give me some time to speak to Linds."

"But I've not really got anywhere to go?"

"You'll find somewhere. I'll try and talk her round." She winked in a friendly manner, placing a kiss on his cheek before heading back into the kitchen, Joe sighing as he grabbed his coat and left the house.

"Sorry." Lindsey said awkwardly as she bumped into Freddie.

"Don't worry." Freddie smiled, walking on downstairs and out the house. Lindsey watched him walk away and sighed before going into Joe's room.

Gathering the things that she'd left, she sighed again softly, perching herself on the edge of his bed as she looked at the picture of the pair on the bedside table.

"He's going to miss you, you know? He thought he'd be with you forever." Sandy voiced, taking a seat beside Lindsey.

"Well, he should of thought about that before he started sleeping with someone else." She mumbled, twiddling her fingers.

"Look, I'm not on anyones side here. What Joe did was wrong, I know it is. But he loves you and surely you can't just dismiss that?"

"He was sleeping with someone else, he was never there when I needed him. I can't forgive him."

"Love is never easy, I've been there. Lindsey, you're a lovely girl and you've got so much ahead of you and you deserve someone amazing in your life, someone who is going to look after you. If you love someone, whether it's Joe, whether it's that guy that lives down your street, you've gotta tell them. No matter what that person does, you'll always love them and you'd risk everything for them. Please, don't throw what you and Joe have, he loves you more than anything."

Lindsey was speechless at Sandy but what she said, it made her realise who she really wanted and it wasn't Joe. She stood up quickly, dropping her things on the bed.

"I've gotta go." She stuttered, quickly running out of the bedroom and downstairs.

"Linds!" Sandy called out, sighing deeply. "Young love." She tutted.

Lindsey made her way downstairs, glancing around but not finding anyone. She sighed and headed out of the house, unlocking and jumping into her car. Pulling out from her phone, she scrolled through her contacts and found Freddie's name, writing a text that read:

'Come to mine? I need to talk to you. – L x'

Lindsey put the phone beside her before setting off back home.

"So what is it?" Freddie asked, stepping into Lindsey's house.

"I can't keep this going anymore." Lindsey said, walking into her living room.

"What?"

"This, us. I keep telling myself that last night was a mistake, that it should never have happened but I wanted it to and if I could, I would do it all over again. Since the first time that we met, that first time you opened the door to me and smiled at me, I just felt warm and happy inside, cringy I know! I shouldn't be saying this to you, I should be saying this to Joe but I can't. Freddie Roscoe, I think I'm falling in love with you." She spoke, whispering the last part as she bit her lip.

"Are you being serious?"

"Oh god, I should've never said anything. I'm sorry, forget it."

"Just be quiet, Lindsey. I've been waiting for you to say that so I didn't have to say it and feel completely embarrassed when you turned me down." He smirked, brightening the mood.

"So, you feel the same way?" She asked, her eyes widening.

"Of course I do. Ever since you smiled at me across that dinner table, I knew that there was something there."

Lindsey was basically grinning from ear to ear as she listened to him, leaning up as she kissed him softly, the pair breaking for air a couple of minutes later.

"You said you'd do it all again, right?"

"Who wouldn't?" She said jokingly, smirking up at him.

He didn't need to hear that twice. Grabbing her hand, Freddie quickly made his way upstairs, pulling a laughing Lindsey along with him.
