Today was the day Lindsey had her interview for her CT1 job in Dee Valley. This meant a long four hour drive to Chester and an overnight stay. She sighed heavily, folding up her clothes and placing them into her bag neatly, along with her outfit for the interview, makeup and other things.

"You'll be alright without me there, yeah?" Helen checked, walking into Lindsey's room.

"Mum, I'm 21 and capable of going to a work interview." Lindsey responded, chuckling lightly as she turned to look at her mum. "Plus, Freddie's going to be there afterwards so all is good."

"And you make sure he drives safely!"

"And that he looks after you!" Lindsey's dad shouted from downstairs.

"I will, stop worrying about! We'll only be gone for a couple of days and things'll be fine."

Lindsey pulled her suitcase from her bed as she heard the doorbell go, jumping slightly at the loud sound.

"I'll get it!" She said happily, quickly running downstairs.

"Looks like I'll be getting your suitcase down then?" Her dad mumbled, walking out from the kitchen and upstairs to get Lindsey's small suitcase.

"Thanks dad!" She shouted before opening the door, smiling as she saw Freddie. "Hey, come in." She added, stepping out of the way for him to come in, closing the door behind them.

"So, you all ready to go?" Freddie asked, placing a kiss on her cheek, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah, dad's just getting my case and then we'll go." She replied, smiling softly.

"Right, you take care of our Lindsey! Make sure she gets everywhere safely." Lindsey's dad spoke, placing Lindsey's case in front of her.

"Dad, stop being so protective." She muttered, scoffing. "I'm fine and I'll get everywhere safely."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she's okay." Freddie replied with a smile.

"Now can we go? I'm going to be late!" She butted in, pulling her coat onto her body and slipping on her flats.

"See you soon love!" Helen called out, rushing downstairs and hugging Lindsey quickly. "Good luck!"

"You'll do great!" Her dad added, hugging her softly before the couple left.

After a long four hour journey, Freddie and Lindsey had finally got to Chester. Lindsey sleepily got out of the car after arriving at the hotel. She sighed deeply and took out her suitcase out of the car, placing it to the floor.

"You alright? You slept pretty much the whole way." Freddie spoke, getting his small suitcase out of the back of his car and closing the boot, locking it up before taking Lindsey's hand.

"I'm fine, just nerves getting to me and the travelling and all that." Lindsey replied, walking hand in hand with him into the hotel.

"You absolutely sure?" He doubled checked, checking into the hotel and the pair making their way to the room.

"I'm sure, don't worry about me." She assured him, scanning the keycard to get into the room, stepping in and placing her suitcase by the door and walking over to the window, sighing again as she looked at the view.

"I do worry about you Linds though, I know what you're like." He stepped in after her, placing his case by the door and walking over to her, winding his arms around her waist from behind.

"Honestly I'm okay, just really nervous about later. This could be my one chance at becoming a doctor in somewhere like this and not just Essex and I could screw it up." She rested her head against his shoulder, resting her arms over his.

"You're going to be amazing and you're going to get this job, alright? I know you will, you're going to be a great doctor and I know you will because you've patched me up enough to show me that you will be."

"You think so?" She spoke, turning around to look at him.

"I know so." He replied, Lindsey smiling softly in response.

"Right, I need to calm my nerves so." She stood up on her tiptoes to reach his height, wrapping her arms around his neck. "We've got roughly about an hour before I have to be in my interview, what do you say?"

"If it'll calm your nerves, why not?"

Lindsey smirked before leaning up, pulling him down in a passionate kiss.
