Lindsey was finishing up packing everything to move to Chester. Her dad had already taken a few of her main things down to the flat she was planning to rent in the heart of the village whilst she was finishing off the remaining things. She sighed deeply, zipping up her large suitcase before lugging it down the stairs and dumping it by the door, just as the doorbell was heard. She opened up the door to see Joe standing there.

"Hey, Joe. What's up?" Lindsey said, taking a step back to let him in.

"Mum told me that you got the job in Dee Valley, congratulations." Joe replied, smiling at Lindsey as he stepped in, hugging her gently.

"Thankyou, I can't believe I'm actually moving away from here." She said sadly, glancing down at the suitcases by the door.

"I'm going to miss you, Linds. All of us are." He responded, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"Come here you." She leant up, hugging him softly. "You'll have to come down and see me, I've got a flat so, you could always kip on the couch."

"No chance in you wanting to get back together with me then?" He joked, winking at her.

"No chance, Joseph. I'm happy enough as it is with your brother." She chuckled, sighing quietly. "Why are you here anyway?"

"I wanted to say goodbye, properly. I know I was a crap boyfriend and we haven't always seen eye to eye since we broke up but I just wanted to give you this to keep and remember the good times we once had." He said, handing her a small square present which was wrapped neatly with ribbon.

"Joe.." She whispered, un-wrapping it to reveal a picture of the pair of them, their first picture together from their first date at their favourite restaurant in town.

"You fell asleep in the car on the way home when I was dropping you off and I had to carry you in and then you didn't want me to leave so I had to stay with you, the next morning your dad came in and thought that we'd you know and he kicked me out before I got to explain." He chuckled nervously, looking at her.

"I remember that night like it was yesterday. Thankyou, it's a great memory and I'll be sure to keep that in my flat and look at it everyday." She looked up at him, biting her lip discreetly before smiling a little, their gaze being locked for a second.

"Anyway, I better go. Take care, yeah? Call me when you get there." He placed a kiss on her cheek before exiting quickly.

"Look after yourself, Joe. I'll call you as soon as I do, bye." She responded, closing the door as he left. She looked down at the picture and smiled, holding it close to her.

Freddie and Lindsey walked hand in hand as they made their way into the train station where Lindsey was shortly going to catch her train. Lindsey looked around the large station, her mind just going blank as she thought about what the future could hold.

"I can't believe I'm not going to be seeing you every day anymore." Lindsey said quietly, standing by the barrier to go onto the platform.

"I can still call you every day, video call you every day." Freddie replied, looking at his girlfriend.

"Not the same though. I'm going to miss you so much." She walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.

"Not as much as I'm going to miss you." He whispered, holding her close to him.

"I'm going to call you as soon as I get there and I'm going to Skype you tonight as soon as I'm settled in the flat." She added, her voice shaking as she pulled out of the hug and gazed up at him.

"I'll be waiting for those calls. You're going to be fine, Linds, I know you will and I'm only at the end of a phone call if you ever need me." He said, smiling down at her.

"I love you so much, Freddie Roscoe." She whispered.

"I love you more, Lindsey Butterfield."

Lindsey smiled, leaning up and kissing him passionately, him reciprocating immediately. Lindsey reluctantly pulled herself away from him a good minute or so later. She rested her forehead against his, them staying that way for a moment.

"Here, take this." He whispered again, dipping into his pocket and handing her a small black box.

"What is it?" She asked, taking the small box with a confused look upon her face.

"Just open it."

"Alright then…" She opened the box which revealed a small silver ring, small diamonds going the full way round. "Is this-"

"I know it's not the traditional way of doing things but I want you to have it. It's an eternity ring. My dad got it for Mum and she said to keep hold of it until I found 'the one' and that's what I did, I've found the one and that's you."

"Fred, I don't know what to say." She stuttered, looking at the simple yet stunning ring.

"You don't have to say anything. I just want you to have it and know that I'll always love you, no matter how far apart we are and that one day, I want to marry you, make you Mrs Roscoe if you'll let me." He said sweetly, Lindsey looking up at him with tears in her eyes.

Before she even had a chance to say thankyou or even reply, the tannoy went and announced that Lindsey's train would be leaving in the next minute or two. Lindsey placed the ring on her finger before grabbing her suitcase and bag, her free hand entwining with Freddie's as they made their way down to the train. She turned to look up at Freddie and kissing him that very last time before stepping on the train, placing her suitcase on it aswell. She wiped her tear filled eyes as she looked out at Freddie from the open door, her lips curving into a wide smile.

"Yes." She said loudly over the engines as she couldn't help but cry, Freddie looking at her in confusion. "Yes, I'll marry you."

And with that, the train doors closed. Freddie smiled widely at her answer, Lindsey waving through the train window as he waved back, the train leaving the station. Freddie continued to wave her off until she was out of sight and was gone.
