Chapter 3: What should I do when I'm not at your side?
Ten days has passed and I still couldn't do anything, I would lay down on the futon provided for me by the King Yama. Sometimes I would walk around and think about what my friends are doing right now and thought about my nearby future.
The Hand maidens would come inside my room and give me what I need like food, water and clothes. Right now I'm thinking about what my friends are doing right now, the room was big enough for me to walk around. It was good but I need my freedom….I agreed this in the first place…And now I'm complaining about it…
But still…
This is for the good….Right?
I made a deal with Koenma if my identity is revealed I should surrender myself in Spirit world and live here for the rest of my life…its weird how I'm human and I'm here in Spirit world….One of Koenma general tactics made me able to walk in the spirit world….
I suddenly heard the door open, it was Koenma. He went inside and rushes over to give me a big hug but I moved away and his face landed on the floor.
"And now you're here to apologize to me?" I asked him while crossing my arms around my chest; the prince stood up and dusted off his clothes.
"Please listen to me Tsume…" Prince Koenma said with a sad smile, I turned away from him like I always do.
"After all we've been through together your father decided to lock me in this room like an animal." I grumbled, I heard him sigh deeply.
"Look, I didn't agree to this locked away thingy but just hear me out for a second or even a minute." I heard a puffing sound; I turned to see the teenage form of Koenma.
I nodded my head, I walked over to the sofa, I offered him to seat and he did.
"Tsume, it was my fault that you were here in the first p-"
"Look Koenma, it's not your fault okay? Your Father wanted me like this." I cut him off; it wasn't the Prince's fault why I'm here right now.
"Tsume please listen first to me! It's the matter of life and death on earth!" I suddenly gasped at his answer, what happened?! Is there something wrong this time?!
Please tell me now!
I grabbed his collar, the prince shrieked loudly.
"C-Calm down T-Tsume! Y-You don't h-have t-to be v-violent you know?" Koenma nervously answered but my threatening look was still there trying to squeeze out the answer impatiently.
"Okay! Okay! There is something weird happening! A lot of souls were entering here and their death is not even counted in the death book and some kids like your age are developing different Reikai powers! J-Just let me go Tsume!" Koenma spilled out his answers, I suddenly let go of him.
"t-That's all Koenma? Sheesh, I thought an apocalypse is happening…" I said tanking him off them stood up from my seat; at least nothing bad is happening right? Well….
But it's weird that a lot of souls entered here…But the good thing that a lot of kids at my age are developing reikai powers at least Koenma won't be stacking a lot business or jobs for Yusuke…speaking for Yusuke…..I wonder what he's doing right now…
"U-Um Tsume…T-That's not really the prob-problem you know? U-Um…Promise me that you'll not freak out okay?" The Prince asked me while stuttering, what's with him?
~ Yusuke's P.O.V. ~
Ah man! This is not good! This is so not cool! I stared at the blondie guy in front of me, his reikai powers were weird, he can move his shadow and trap people like me here…
Well…
This is what happened….
~ flash back~
I woke up early this morning; I quickly flung my legs out of the bed and wore my green jumpsuit uniform. Mom tried to feed me breakfast but I had no time for that now. Keiko was waiting for me out there and so is my ugly friend Kuwabara.
When I went out of my apartment the both of them were waiting for me, they waved their hands and smiled. I jumped out of the 2 story building and landed in front of them sloppily.
"Geez Urameshi, you know that there are stairs right?" The redhead asked while scratching his chin.
"Don't you remember that this guy in front of you have skills?" I said while pointing at myself with my thumb, Keiko rolled her eyes and huffed lightly.
"We know that you're the champ and all Yusuke, we need to hurry on now!" Keiko scolded us both; she dragged us into the streets. While walking my thoughts of video games returned to my mind, I smirked at the redhead for a while and chuckled.
"School could be such a pain in the ass right Kuwabara?" I asked, he turned to me and shrugged his shoulders.
"Nah! School's school you know, I want to be a doctor!" I slumped my shoulders in annoyance and made sure Keiko didn't hear what I just said.
"But still! We just finished the Tournament then everything started becoming cranky!" Kuwabara suddenly slumped his shoulders when he heard what I just said.
"Yeah you're right….Gosh! I really need a vacation, it's really a pissing day especially when school's being a huge jail…For us…." Kuwabara lazily said, my lips grew into a grin when I've won my opportunity.
"Hey, I feel really sick!" I said out loud making the two of them stop.
"Yeah Me too!" Kuwabara lively said with a grin.
"How about going to the arcade? They're real medicine for men!" I insisted him, I yelped when Keiko spanked my nape with her school attach case.
"Don't you even think about skipping school Yusuke! Your mom tried everything to keep you in Sariyaski!" Keiko warned me, I frowned at her.
"Yeah Yeah whatever you say Mondo!" when we were almost at school we saw three guys harassing a guy and the girl, I stood there with a glare. Keiko puts her arm around mine and pats me in the shoulder.
"Yusuke don't fight them okay?" The Brunette friend said, Kuwabara had his stoic attitude activated.
"Hey look! This made has two boyfriends! Mind if we become your third-"The guy suddenly froze in fear when he looked me in the eye. He shivered and was pushed back by his partner.
"Let me handle-"The leader shivered in fear, his glasses slowly slid down on the bridge of his nose. The three of us passed by them and they gave us way.
~ Later on~
It was recess time and I saw Kuwabara there with his friends, he went over the window and stared out there for a long time. I snickered in mischief; I slowly crept towards him and clapped my hands together with only my pointers stuck out.
"SPIRIT GUN!" I suddenly poked him in the 'you-know-where'. He yelped in surprised and turned to see me.
"Next time when you're thinking about something don't forget to bring your mirror!" I said to him while waving my hands. The both of suddenly wrestled over a baguette sandwich but Kuwabara wouldn't give it to me.
"You know that the Tournament's already finished now!" Botan said while the both of us still wrestled.
" Hey, thanks trying to back up for me! Give me a hand here!" I shouted at her.
"Mr. Urameshi and Kuwabara! You know that the school bell rang!" The both of us stopped beating each other and stared at the whole class for a while, they were all snickering at us. Kuwabara and I parted ways and stared at the grim reaper.
"As far as I am concerned you're in the other class Mr. Urameshi!" The principal said, I flung my arms on my nape and walked out.
"Thanks for reminding me old man!" I said, Botan followed behind me and skipped.
"You! Young lady! Are you new here?" Mr. Principal asked the blue haired grim reaper.
"W-w-what? A-are you talking to me?" she asked while pointing at herself.
"Yes, you, I haven't seen you before." He said as Botan and I ran out of the classroom.
"Botan took out her paddle then I frowned.
"Going away already? Well isn't that great, you came all the way from spirit world to prevent me from fighting?" I asked her sarcastically.
"Well, Koenma told me that you should watch the city for a while."
"Watch the city?! But isn't that supposed to be Tsume's Job? And speaking of which …where the hell is she anyways?" I asked the grim reaper, she jumped and tried to run away from me.
"No time to answer that Yusuke, I don't want to answer Mr. Principal's questions on why I can fly! See you!" she flew out of the window.
The heck with her?!
~ Later on~
Class was already finished, I was facing the window and yawned loudly. Well, I kind of miss beating the crap out of some demons back at the Tournament; I stood up and put my hands on my pockets.
"Damn everything's dull and boring!" I complained out, so much for school…. Also missed the old hag…But…Gahh….Maybe a spar with her might lift the spirits up right? Well, no doubt that she'll win again then I'll complain, complain and complain then Tsume's going to beat the crap-
Tsume….nah! She's tough, she can manage herself, and I'll just go home!
"Oh Hello yusuke!" Keiko called out, my cheeks burned when I heard her voice.
"Oh hey it's you…" I bluntly said to her.
"You're going home now? Here! You should get Puu!" She insisted, I yelped and shook my head.
"The hell with that penguin!" I shouted at her.
"Aww…why are you such a mean thing? He's the reflection of your soul right?" she said taking out her attach case bag.
"And what the hell are-"I watched as she do something on her bac and she presented me.
"There you have it, a portable Puu!" she said happily while shoving it in my hand.
"Gahh! Take it! I need to protect my mage." I tried to give it back to her but she pushed it on my chest.
"Just take it home with you Yusuke, come on!" she giggled, I frowned a stared at the penguin.
"Yeah…sure why not?" I asked her, I stared at the ground again in deep thought.
"Are you okay yusuke?" she asked me with concern.
"Yeah why?"
"It's about Tsume again huh?" She asked me.
"And what if I don't?" I mocked her.
" Yusuke…I can see it in you…I know…You've changed a lot you know….But then again yusuke don't worry about her, she's a fighter remember? I'm sure she'll be back soon and who knows? Maybe she'll be at your apartment later!" She tried to cheer me up, I turned my back at her and walked away.
"Be careful yusuke! And don't get killed okay?!" she asked, my body shooked with anticipation and suddenly yelled at her.
"Do you think that I'll get killed this time?!" I yelled at her, she just backed away and gave me that concerned look.
"Umm…When you got hit by that car?" Keiko said softly…I scowled at walked away.
~ Flash back end~
Yup…After leaving school I ended up here…Stupid huh? To think I'm careless enough to do this….
"So, I've heard that the Tournament was a complete pain in the ass?" The blondie asked me.
"No kidding…" I muttered, he chuckled deeply and flipped his hair.
"Is it true that your little man…should I say…Little girl-friend was missing for days now?" he asked, I shot him a look and growled.
"How do you know about that?!" I asked him fiercely, are they all behind this?! Did they Kidnapped Tsume too?!
"I know what you're thinking….But don't worry…She's not here…Neither of us don't know where she is." He said, sighed in relief and looked away from him.
"Since when did you become a diehard fan?" I asked him.
"I have my ways Yusuke…You know that you should have some skills too aside from your powers." The Blondie said with a grin.
He's getting on my nerves….
~ Tsume's P.O.V. ~
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" I screamed at his face, I suddenly grabbed his collar again in a harsh way and my face was of anger and horror. I was shaking his violently and felt his tears hitting my face.
"But still…Yusuke can handle himself, he's strong and he won the Tournament." I said while letting him go softly.
"U-Um…The Other problem is that he can't move at all…" Koenma said, I gasped and stared at him wide eye.
"Koenma, are you supposed to send somebody knows?" I asked him, he just stood there.
"It's okay Tsume, Botan had it covered…Here's the real problem. The city's energy has changed unlike before." He said as I went closer to him.
"What do you mean the City's energy changed?" I asked him, he cleared his throat.
"Ever since you guys have won the Tournament a lot of E-class demons has entered the city. Right now Hiei is taking care of them but they just go plenty today, Tsume….It's like…That…I really need your help on this one….But…" The Prince trailed off, the city's in danger…
"Is there no other way Prince Koenma?" I asked him softly, he turned his back away from me and started mumbling.
" Tsume, I've got an idea but this will be too risky, Father will know if you've come out…Tsume….I'm just scared if he caught us both….I tried to convince father that you should participate on helping Hiei and start to become a watcher again but..." He trailed off again, I can be like again. If it gives me back my freedom can take it again.
"Father said no Tsume but….Will he? Will we get caught?" Koenma asked me, I stared at him for a long while, he is right…If we do this Koenma will be punished gravely or worse, but he needs my help too.
"Koenma…. Don't want you to get in trouble…." I said with a concerned look, his shoulder slumped, the doors suddenly opened and revealed the guards.
"Prince Koenma, You've visited far too long now…" one of them said to him, I gasped when they dragged him out.
"B-But! I'm the prince of the Spirit World! I demand you to let me go now, I can visit her as long as I want!" Koenma struggled in their grasps.
"Sorry your highness but The King Yama ordered us to only give visitors a little time to visit the Heiress even the Prince!" They dragged him out and shut the door behind me, I slumped down to the ground and growled in both annoyance and anger.
Damn you….
