Chapter 4: The reason why

To think that Yama could keep her there? Pathetic…
She'll be out soon….
I stared at the moonlight from above, it's been days now and I've been holding the urge to kill that stupid King Yama, my hand was holding the handle of my katana sword on my left waist. I heard a chuckle in the corner of my room. I went closer to the aquarium that revealed the elder Toguro inside it.
"I can smell that anger..." He hissed at me with that weird sadistic smile, I snorted then looked away from him. Shinobu hasn't returned yet, he said that he'll be back in a moment and the others were scattered in the streets of Mushiyori City. Here I am…tasked to watch over this immortal demon.
"That anger is for King Yama, am I correct?" The demon asked me, I nodded and smiled cheerfully at him.
"Why are you angry dear friend? Is it…Because he locked your….Precious little Moonflower away?" he asked, I took my full attention to him. How did he know that?
How can he know about that?
"You seemed surprised friend, well…It's all because of my little brother. He already knew about her way before the Tournament! And the best part here is that he knew that she'll won't last long here in the human world, he knew that her identity will be exposed at the Dark Tournament." I stared at him for a long while when he said that to me.
"Don't worry…She'll be out there in no time…" I said gently to him.
"And how are you sure she'll be out there friend?" he asked with that mocking smile.
"I have my ways…" I said while grinning at him.
My poor dearest little niece has waited too long, it seems that she'll be out…..In No time….LITERALLY.
Shinobu suddenly entered the room; he passed by me and sat on his chair. He watched the city out of the window, the city is incredibly beautiful, but it's a shame that it'll all end soon.
"My dear friend, you look so…Overwhelmed there…Care to share why?" Shinobu asked me, my grin grew wider and I chuckled sadistically, my hands quenched tightly then I walked over to him.
"It's a secret my dearest friend….A secret…How is Itsuki holding up Shinobu?" I asked the dark angel, his hand went up to his chin then his fingers caressed his lips.
His smile was gentle but behind all of softness was treachery, defiance, death and more, it's something that Itsuki wanted the most. He wanted him all to himself. I remembered the time when I first met Shinobu and Itsuki…
~ flash back~
It's been years when the shrine allowed me to go outside; they offered me to King Yama to help them. They never gave me rest or anything, at the same time it was so annoying. I wondered why that Izayoi gave me this order to serve the spirit world then now the Oh so annoying prince Koenma was calling me.
I entered the Portal that leads to Spirit world, a lot of ogres were running and panicking across the room, I passed carefully through them and reached the Prince's office. I knocked three times then I heard someone say 'enter.'
When I entered the room I saw a teenager wearing a dark uniform then beside him was a demon with dark blue grin hair, Koenma ushered me to come closer to him and I did.
"Prince Koenma, who are these tow?" I asked him boringly.
"The reason why I called you here because these two will work with you from now on." I turned to the two of them then I look at them up and down, then the teenager gave me a warm innocent smile. There was something in his forehead, it was jewel….Well….I sensed his spirit energy, it was powerful!
"Please to meet you, I'm Shinobu Sensui." The boy named Sensui reached out his hand, I stared at him of a while then shook it friendly.
"Nice to meet you." I said with a welcoming tone, I turned to the other one and he smiled at me.
"I'm Itsuki; it's nice to meet you." He said then I shooked his hand, the two of them were strong and I hoped that we'll get along.
~ Two years later ~
Shinobu and Itsuki grew strong and so did I, we became very good friends and the three of us fought evil. They were my friends…
Sometimes they would visit the Shrine and play with Mujakina, she treated them as her brothers and I was happy that she was happy…
But then….
A year later…
The Three of us were sent to a mission, it's about the black black Club. My senses collapsed when I saw a lot of demons being tortured by humans. Shinobu suddenly grew mad then killed every one, we were arrested but they were able to escape. Three days later they called me then I tried to convince them to apologize to Koenma, Masanori suddenly disappeared for three days now after the incident happened. My sister Izayoi ordered me to look for him and I obeyed but unfortunately I was captured by my two beloved friends.
Shinobu showed me that evil tape, it was filled with gore. I couldn't imagine King Yama keeping this tape.
"Shinobu this is madness! You can't just run away and try to kill everyone!" I pleaded; he then smirked and faced me.
"Then come with me…" he reached his hand out. Itsuki placed his hand on my shoulder then gave me such apologetic, innocent look.
"I-I can't Shinobu and you can't make me!" I warned him, his grin grew wider and he laughed maniacally.
"What's so funny?!" I asked him, he stopped laughing and his once innocent face turned to madness and malice. This wasn't him anymore, the aura changed. Itsuki smirked mischievously then my friend refrained his laughing then looked up to me with such evil eyes, I gasped in horror but Itsuki kept me still.
"You think I don't know all about you?!" Shinobu mocked me.
"I know all about you….I know that your own little family hates you!" My eyes widened in disbelief when he told me that, how does he know?
"I know that your sister Izayoi despises you….And most of all….I know that they killed…." My fists were shaking, I kept my anger for so long and I always prayed that it'll be all gone for good for Mujakina!
"They….Killed….Your Sister Yuzuki…" a loud Pang hit my head when he told me his name, tears were falling down my eyes and my teeth suddenly gritted.
"Sh-shut-"
"Shhh…Don't worry my dearest friend….I can help you…I can help you get rid of it all….Masanori told me that…He'll give you something in return…." Shinobu went over to me then whispered in my ear, the tears were uncontrollably streaming down my face.
"He said…He promise that good things will happen if we rid of mankind…. There is a way my friend…. we shall destroy the face of the earth…But for now…." Shinobu faced me, my expression was of horror. His hand went up to grasp my cheek, it was gentle but at the same time his power horrifies me.

"Masanori said that you need to kill them all…." He said, my whole world slumped down before me. That was my wish before! I wanted to kill them all after they killed Yuzuki, but…I had to control it in order to care for Mujakina.
"S-Sh-Shino-bu….I-I can't! Y-You-"
"Think of it my friend…..If you kill them all your worries will satisfy you and plus you'll avenge your precious sister Yuzuki. It's what you want my friend…Don't worry, Mujakina will be safe….Unless if Masanori will go get her…." Shinobu chuckled after that then left me alone in the shadows, my knees fell weak and I slumped down in the ground, my tears couldn't stop any more and in a second I started punching the ground violently.

But then Shinobu has a point….
My cries stopped and it was replaced with giggles then it turned into laughter, it was loud that it filled the air.

I unsheathe my sword then ran off to the night; I returned to the shrine and evilly grinned. I slid the door opened, there were guards. They just stared at me with cold eyes but then I slashed them, I heard a woman screamed. It was one of the hand maidens; I stabbed her in the mouth then blood poured out.

The shrine maidens were running and screaming in fear, their blood was so beautiful that I want it to paint the entire place.

That memory was the exquisite thing that I remember, my lips curled into a smile. Shinobu did the same and chuckled, I won't get it off my mind, I enjoyed every blood splatter and their screams in pain. But then a part of me is telling that I'm Guilty but then this dark core inside has been whispering that it was for the best.
Shinobu tilted his head and smirked lightly interested on what I was thinking.
"My friend what are you thinking?" He asked, I just chuckled and faced him again.
"Nothing my dearest, just stuff….Stuff about the future…." I humbly said to my beloved friend, he then chuckled. His fingers traced his chin then started muttering to himself, he must be talking to his other personalities.
The Elder Toguro cocked his head up then started calling out my name, I went over to him and leaned my head forward.
"I know what you're thinking…." He teased me.
"What is it friend?" I asked him, he snickered viciously.

~ Tsume's P.O.V. ~
Alright, I'm still here in this room and completely doing nothing. I just stood here in this room feeling really pissed at the King Yama, damn him! Damn him to hell! I did everything here and helped them watch the Human world and this is the reward I get?!
Hours ago Koenma left and now I can't do anything!
But then….
I'm-
I gasped when I felt something inside this room, I checked my surroundings but there was no one around here. When I turned back to the door then jumped in surprised when I saw the woman who had been appearing in my dreams and my possible Mother.
The woman in a dark Kimono, and a moon phase veil. She bobbed her head at me then pointed at the door.
"W-What are you-"I was cut when the door magically opened, she then disappeared into thin air.
I slowly went over to the door then stuck my head outside first then slowly bended over to not attract any attention. But then it seems that no one was around; I slowly walked and stuck myself to the wall like a ninja.
Really, what happened to everyone?
Again the woman appeared just at the end of the hallway; she pointed to the next corridor then disappeared. I went to the place where she has been pointing and gladly ran.
I huffed lightly and my eye shined with glory when the entrance was there before me, I've been dreaming about this day to come. I opened the door and something flashed before my eyes.
"Hello Mujakina…."
I yelped out then started breathing in and out violently, I was sweating then I turned my head to see Ayame. The other grim reaper.
"Ayame…." I said while wiping the sweat away from my face, she suddenly pulled me out and ran over to the door. When she opened it I saw a guard passed out, I looked over to her and noticed that she was carrying a blowgun.
"Lord Koenma ordered this, we have to leave now!" She whispered loudly, her broom suddenly appeared then we flew out in the nearby window. I inhaled the air and stared at the beautiful crescent moon, at last I'm outside again!
We rushed through the river Styx and a portal suddenly appeared, this was Koenma's portal…The air suddenly changed and noticed that we weren't in Tokyo but in Mushiyori City, The prince was right, the air is weird and it's not like it at all!
I saw hell bugs flying around the city, it's really weird. What's happening?!
"I need to drop you off at the place where they're holding Yus-"I shouted when Ayame's arm started bleeding, we both fell and then I embraced Ayame close to me and saw a tree the I gracefully turned and make sure that Ayame won't get hurt. I landed on the branch and I jumped down on the ground, I set the poor Grim reaper down and checked his wound, it was burning.
"Shit!" I cursed under my breath then I focused my energy and started healing her, it slowly closed. She cringed a little and I smiled in relief.
I gasped and took a fighting stance, someone just entered here. The territory aura was strong, if only my Tantos were here!
He or She was getting closer and closer and it revealed a tall man with a chubby body, he and he has bread in hand and took a bit on it. I went closer to me but I let my spirit energy rush down my body.
I charged at him and tried to punch him but he dodged swiftly, he was flexible! I then gasped when I felt something buried on my arm. I saw it was a dart; the one who punctured me was a man win a red leather jacket.
My vison started to become blurry and I slumped down in the ground.

I snorted when the girl slumped down; Shinji gave me orders to take her to him unharmed. Gourmet walked over to her then slug her in his shoulder roughly.
I went close to him and took the dart out the girl's shoulder.
"You know I could have handled her myself sniper." Gourmet said with pride, I rolled my eyes. We walked through the forest until I saw the game master there waiting in the truck car.
"You should have thanked me you know; she's a strong one Gourmet." I said while opening the door for him, he threw the girl there with no car and he went inside and sat beside her.
"Strong huh? This hoe over here's weak. I could have eaten her you know." He muttered out, I groaned in annoyance and went beside the Game master; he started the engine and drove out to tomorrow.
Shinji will be so pleased and Shinobu might just freak out!
~ Ayame's P.O.V. ~
My eyes slowly fluttered opened and noticed that the pain in my arm was gone; I suddenly bolted up when I noticed that Tsume was not beside me anymore. I suddenly started panicking; I couldn't feel her spirit energy here.
I saw something shining there on the dirty ground, I took it carefully then realized it was a poison dart; the energy on this dart was strong. I closed my eyes and focused on my energy, it was a man wearing a red leather jacket…

I took my broom then flew out to the spirit world, I went inside Prince Koenma's office then he stopped stamping.
"Ayame? What's in the hurry? And how's Tsume? I haven't seen her at yusuke's captured place!" He said cheerfully, I bit my lower lip and nervously shivered, I jumped when Botan magically appeared on my side.
"So! How's Tsume? The King Yama hasn't noticed her absence yet which is good! The Illusion trinket you have your Majesty was brilliant!" Botan said happily.
How am I going to say this?!
"Ayame? Is something wrong?" The Prince Koenma calmly asked me. I placed the dart on the table then stepped back where Botan was standing.
"Um…What's this Ayame?" Koenma asked me, my lip started quivering and I bursted out.
"T-Tsume was kidnapped!" I said out loud, Koenma sat there frozen and Botan who suddenly fainted.
"W-WHAT?! AGAIN?! HOW MANY TIMES DOES SHE HAVE TO BE KIDNAPPED?! FIRST WAS TARUKANE AND NOW THIS?!" The Prince was so displeased to what I have announced; Botan slowly woke up then stood carefully.
"I-I'm so sorry Milord! I couldn't-"
"What are we going to do?!" Botan asked the Prince hysterically, I tried to calm down but I couldn't.
"S-should we tell Yusuke?" Botan asked the Prince whose eyes shot like bloody murder.
"No! NO! You can't! I-It'll add more problems so please no no no!" Koenma disagreed, his fists were shaking in the air and I couldn't stop this horror. He's right, if we tell Yusuke he'll won't focus at his new case. We need to locate where Tsume is.
"For now we need to find where Tsume is then we bring her back to Yusuke and Genkai. For now don't tell yusuke, am I clear?" He ordered us; we saluted then walked away from his duties and started doing his daily duties.
