Oh wow, sixty chapters. Thanks to everyone who's read this far! You're amazing.

"Annn you seriusly feel NUTHIN?" Jim slurred. Spock nodded for the fourteenth time.

"Yes James." James had decided he wanted 'One big fun drunk night' which entailed a trip to the launching pad with a group, lots of chatter, several alcoholic beverages and Spock feeling oddly as though he now had to be responsible for each cadet that had come with Kirk and Him here now that they were all drunk except for him.

"You gotta be having synthale or somethin-or just not drinking the stuff I bought you-is that it?"

"I assure you I have at least sampled each of the drinks you purchased me-Vulcans do not become intoxicated by alcohol."

"Dull!" Scotty piped up before gulping down another shot.

"You were all aware of this before we came here tonight." Spock said.

Kirk was whispering with the bartender and then a moment later came by Spock and a pressed a glass of something frothy and dark into his hands. "Try this." he directed his roommate. "House brew-they make it inna basement here. S'called 'Lonely Valentine's'

Spock took it and drank it, then some more. the taste wasn't entirely unpleasant, he could handle this one he supposed...maybe another if he had to.

Spock woke up in bed the next morning with an awful headache, his recollection of the evening before foggy at best.

"Good morning-I tried to wake you up earlier but that didn't go so well." James said. "So I let you sleep-not like you have class today." Kirk was toweling is hair dry, half way dressed after showering.

"What happened last night?" He asked, sitting up and raising an eyebrow, thoroughly confused.

"We got drunk, I bought you beer with chocolate in it, you got drunk, I dragged both our drunk selves back here." He said. "and I don't know about you but I had a great time last ni-"

"-to borrow a human phrase: how dare you." Spock cut him off.

"What?"

"How dare you." Spock repeated. "You didn't have any right to give me something with the intent of putting me in such a situation of becoming intoxicated in such a way.

"I gave you one! you bought the other three after!"

"because by then my judgement was severely impaired." Spock said. "It's not like human alcoholic beverages where it take several to become intoxicated. Do you remember our first year here the Halloween party you threw?"

"Yes...?"

"A bit of chocolate frosting on my teeth-not even half a gram-impaired my judgement, more than that was in that drink that that's the first one, you say I had three more? I don't even remember after the first sip. And I might never so I have to take the word of someone who was intoxicated at the time to know what happened last night-the person who purchased that first drink for me. Are you beginning to see my dilemma?"

"...Spock I'm really sorry..."

"Noted."

"Aw Spock come on! I didn't know! It won't happen again...I figured it was the same as a beer for you, you know?...I'm sorry...forgive me?" Kirk was genuinely remorseful, but he figured if Spock was angry-even if he'd say he wasn't-well, he had a right to be, didn't he?

"I would like to think about this later." Spock got up and went into the bathroom.

He spent longer showering than normal, taking time to think there rather than simply wash himself as he normally would. this whole incident had bothered him extremely although he couldn't place his finger on why.

The whole thing merely made him feel weird. maybe that was why it disturbed him. All the feeling attached to it.

When he finally came out of the bathroom James was gone from the room. There was, however, a PADD sitting on Spock's bed. He picked it up and read.

Another apology from Kirk. And a promise of not even inviting him on such trips again if that would help prevent the situation happening again.

He deleted the message and went about his day normally, going to the library, out to lunch and for a walk with Christine-something they had begun doing most saturdays, giving them a chance to talk and interact (Spock had to admit it was nice to have time with such an interesting, intelligent young woman)and then back to the room.

He was intrigued to find James there so early int he afternoon, it was only two.

"Hey Spock..."

"Hello."

"So about earlier...?"

"You're forgiven. Do you have any projects you need help with?" Kirk smiled widely

"Not today-actually I have an idea. How many transporter credits do you have left for the year?"

"I haven't used any of my credits this semester."

"Perfect-come on, we're going to go see Bones."

"What are doing here?!" Bones demanded at seeing his ex-roommates and two best friends outside his dorm room door. "how did you know what room I was in?"

"They told us at the office-by the way this school has way cuter interns than Starfleet."

Bones groaned and let the other two young men in. "Well how are you?"

"Very well, and you Doctor McCoy?"

"I'm a medical student not a doctor." Bones said, shutting the door behind Spock and nodding hello to him. "But honestly, why are you here?"

"To see you of course! And probably go out and have you show us around."

"Around where? My social life here is nonexistent." Bones sat down at his desk.

"Well we have three weeks left to make sure this campus remembers the name Bones McCoy let's do something fun."

"I have finals to study for."

"Aw come on, one night? please?"

Bones looked back and forth between his friends. he'd missed them and really? It was great to see them again.

So he gave in.

"I might know a place we can go."

"Awesome."
