Vlad lead the way to a long black limo with Sam pacing behind him. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go horribly wrong if he wen with this man. But the chance to escape his life and his problems for even a little while seemed far to good to pass up. So he stepped into the car and buckled up watching the man acrossed from himself with curious eyes. Vlad didn't say much of anything while they drove far more engrossed with his phone and whatever was on it. Sam felt his eyes getting heavier and heavier with each passing moment.
He didn't even realize he had fallen asleep until he woke up in the sterile lab. He could feel the cold steel of the table under him and he sat up with a start his heart beating right out of his chest. Vlad was no where to be seen and Sam wondered what was happening. This wasn't at all what he had been expecting when he said he would come with Vlad. Maybe something had happened and that's how he ended up here.
Swallowing thickly he looked around skidding of the table and onto the floor realizing with a frown that his shoes we're gone.
"Well that's weird." He said to himself.
There was the sound of a laugh and he jumped looking in the direction it came from.
His breath caught in his throat as he saw who was there. The Wisconsin Ghost. John had been after this one for a long time. They almost got him once when Sam was young but he suddenly went off the radar. It was no doubt now though that it was him who stood there looking at Sam with a smirk that spelled doom.
"What do you want?" Sam growled trying to appear menacing.
"I'm not going to hurt you boy." The ghost said, "I'm Plasmius, I'm here to help."
Sam scoffed. "Really you couldn't pick a better name for yourself?" When in doubt always joke. If there was anything Dean had taught him that was it.
The ghost raised a brow and smirked.
"Sam…I am here to help you I can assure you of that. I know what you want. What you truly desire." Plasmius seemed to purr.
Sam shook his head, "You don't know anything, where's Vlad?"
Sam was curious as to where the man had gone and more than a little worried. After all he was just an old man who was there one minute and now he was gone. Maybe Plasmius had done something with him.
"I swear to god if you hurt that old man I will kill you deader than you already are." Sam threatened feeling the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
Plasmius just laughed at him. "Dear boy, he's fine, safe and sound. Don't you worry."
Sam narrowed his eyes and growled.
"You better not be lying ghost."
The ghost floated over to him and Sam backed up bumping his knees in the steel table behind him.
"I can help you Sam, I know what you really want. You're tired of the life you live. Your brother and Father always fighting. Your brothers slutting around. I know it upsets you, that you just want to have a steady life where you're not moving from place to place every month. It must be hard." He smirked as he watched Sam's steady resolve falter.
Every word that came out of Plasmius' gave him a jab in the heart. It was true even if he didn't want to admit it.
"I don't know what you're talking about ghost. You may as well quit now and let me go." Sam snapped eyes darting around as he looked for a way out.
"You know you'll be leaving soon, your father will want to drag you two off to some other god forsaken side of the country. You'll have to start a new school make new friends. You'll be leaving something, oh no, someone very special behind won't you?" Plasmius leered his fangs glinting in the light of the lab.
Sam swallowed his heart starting to race. "What are you talking about?" He tried to play it off like he didn't know what he could possibly be meaning.
"You want to stay with him don't you? More than anything else in the world. Your home is here with Daniel, not out there with your brother and father. They don't appreciate you. They don't love you. Never will. They can't give you the life that I can." Plasmius was watching Sam very carefully watching as the boys eyes welled with tears at his words.
"My family loves me." Sam whispered and Plasmius just laughed.
"If they did wouldn't you be home with them right now instead of here in this cold lab talking to a ghost?"
Sam couldn't deny that. He had been mad when he left but he loved his brother and his father. But he loved Danny too.
"What are you talking about then…why am I here?" He whispered and Plasmius grinned happy to hear the question he was waiting for.
"I can give you a whole new life, make you into something you only ever dreamed you could be. I can make you a hero." He smirked.
"What?" Sam looked up confused.
"I can make you like Phantom, half human half ghost. You two can live together for the rest of your undead lives. You won't have to be bothered with your 'family business' or being carted and pushed around." Plasmius said coating his words with sugar.
"You…you can?" Sam looked into the ghosts read eyes.
"Of course I can. Would you like that Sam? To be with your little lover forever?"
Sam couldn't think but he found himself nodding slowly. Danny was the only one that made him feel like he was important. That he was worth loving. He didn't want to give that up. They could be the same and never have to be apart. To Sam's upset and emotionally addled mind this deal didn't seem to have any pit falls. He would get to be with Danny forever and he wouldn't have to deal with anymore of his brother or fathers craziness.
"Then come here boy, it's okay, don't cry." Plasmius hushed holding his arms out to Sam who hadn't realized he was crying until he wiped his cheeks and felt the moisture there. Everything seemed to come crashing down like a wall had been removed he shuffled into the ghosts arms and let him hold him as he sobbed.
It was comforting in a weird way to be held by the almost malevolent creature that had promised him so much.
"What's going to happen to me?" Sam asked quietly as the ghost pulled away and looked down at him.
"It's simple, just come with me. It will all be over before you even know it." Plasmius grinned guiding Sam by the shoulder deeper into the lab.
Danny groaned as the sound of rustling feathers filled his rooms. Two visits from Castiel in under six months was certainly a surprise.
"What is it Castiel?" Danny said from under the covers.
"Daniel you must awaken Sam is in trouble. Big trouble." Castiel sounded urgent in his odd stoic way.
The words made Danny sit bolt upright in bed looking at the angel in the darkened room even though it made his wounds screech and he winced.
"What do you mean Sam is in trouble?" He asked glaring and starting to panic. "Did someone hurt him?"
Castiel looked at him. "He has been captured by the villain Plasmius. I suspect he is planning to try and transform him somehow."
Danny gasped and leapt up letting the rings surround him as he changed into his ghost half. Before Castiel could speak again Danny was gone. Darting through the walls of the house and towards Vlad's mansion. The cold night wind whipping in his face and making his eyes sting. He knew Vlad was just doing this to get back at him. He must have found out somehow and now he was going to try and use Sam as a bargaining chip to get him to be his son of some crazy bullcrap like that. He felt tears brimming his eyes at the thought of Sam being hurt because of him. He was determined to get him back no matter what the cost. He just hoped that nothing would happen to Sam in the time it took him to get to the mansion.
It wasn't like Sam to be late home. Or out late at all for that matter. After checking the nerds usual haunts, the library, the school, the park, heck even the arcade. Dean was fresh out of ideas. It was like Sam had just vanished. Groaning Dean ran his fingers through his short hair and set to search the town again. Maybe someone had seen him hanging around he had friends after all didn't he? There was that one kid he hung out with at school…what was his name…Danny Fenton. Maybe he was over there.
After asking around a little bit he managed to get the address of the Fenton residence not that it was actually that hard to find. After all it did have a neon flashing sign pointing to it. Dean wasn't too sure about even knocking on the door but when he did a somewhat panicked looking young lady answered.
"Uhm hi, I'm Dean Winchester . I'm looking for my brother, he's one of Danny's friends. Have you seen him?" He asked flashing her his most charming smile but she shook her head.
"No I'm Sorry…I haven't seen him since earlier this afternoon. After school about, he came to see Danny since Danny was sick but then he left. My…my brothers missing too, but he was really sick he shouldn't have been able to go anywhere. Do you think they're together?" She asked Dean hopefully. Even though Jazz knew about Danny's ghost powers it wasn't at all like him to just dart off in the middle of the night without letting anyone know. She had called Tucker and Sam but neither of his best friends had known anything about it. They had suggested he might be just out patrolling on his own. After a break down from Jazz though the pair were out patrolling around looking for their friend.
"I don't know they might be…seems likely." Dean sighed, "I'll keep looking for him, and Danny too I guess."
He bid her farewell telling him to call her if she heard anything. Dean was halfway back to the hotel when he got a phone call. He answered it expecting to hear his father or Jazz on the other end but all there was was a high pitched ringing before a voice came through.
"Dean Winchester your brother is in dire need of assistance. The mansion of Vlad Masters. Wisconsin ghost. Must help." That was all there was before the line went dead and panic laced through Dean.
"Shit…" He picked up the pace running home and finding his father half through a bottle of god knows what on the couch.
"Dad…dad we need to go Sammy is in trouble. We have to go now." He shouted grabbing the hunting kits and running to the impala. "I'll explain on the way."
It took a few seconds to get a location on the mansion but once he did and John stumbled into the car they were off like a shot in the direction of the mansion and supposedly Sam.
Sam didn't know what was happening anymore. There were lights and needles and he was really confused. Not to mention hungry. Absolutely ravenous would be a better way to describe it. He tried to voice his complaint but he couldn't find his voice. Looking down he saw IV's in both his arms one holding some vibrant green substance and the other something clear. He vaguely realized there was ectoplasm being pumped into his veins but again he just couldn't find himself to care.
"How are you feeling boy?" Plasmius asked pausing whatever he was doing to come over and check the bags and move Sam to a table strapping him down.
Sam could only roll his head to look at him his tongue feeling thick in his mouth. The once hazel eyes were now flecked with green and the veins in his eyes were shot with electric green.
"You're doing just fine, just a little longer Sam and everything will be okay." Plasmius cooed gently smoothing Sam's hair and the boy shut his eyes.
He just wanted this to be over. At least right now he couldn't feel anything really. He was just tired and hungry. Soon though. Plasmius promised soon. He promised. Same sighed heavily his entire body feeling like it was becoming weighed down. It only half occurred to him that he was dying as his insides became saturated in ectoplasm. Funnily enough the thought didn't seem to phase him.
