Danny had no idea how to help him or what he could say that would make Sam feel even a smiggen better about what was going on. Quite frankly he had never seen anything like this before in his life, never seen another ghost that shone the same brilliant colour or looked like life incarnate, or had burned so warm. He looked like everything Danny had ever wanted to see in his entire life or after life but he couldn't find the words to describe what was going through his mind.

Searing yellow eyes capturing his own ecto-green and he suddenly understood why all of the specters had gathered around him in the graveyard and stared. His core was thrumming with the energy that Sam radiated and it was so absolutely entrancing he couldn't bring himself to tear his eyes away, this was worse than hypnosis because he didn't want it to stop. He wanted to be able to absorb every once of that brilliant, radiant, spectacular life that was washing off of Sam in a way he had never felt before. Such a unique feeling that he never wanted it to stop and he never wanted to let Sam go.

"Sam…you are so beautiful, I know you can not see yourself but you are a candle and I can't even begin to describe how wonderful you are." Danny whispered finally able to tear his gaze away and pull the warm body against his own.

"I don't know what you are, or how this happened but I don't think it's a bad thing Sam. Someone will have to know what to do and even if your dad can't find out I have people that will be able to help you through this." He was immediately thinking of his sister and Tucker and Sam. They would be able to get them out of this mess. They had to have some ideas.

Sam stared at him head tilted to the side before he shook it furiously not seeming to like the idea of getting anyone else involved in this mess. He didn't want to bring anyone in that could hurt him or his family and he certainly didn't know if he was dangerous or not and if he was he didn't want to be hurting anyone.

Danny, no. I can't what if I'm dangerous just cause you're a ghost and you know how to do things and save people…that doesn't mean I do. I'm scared and I'm worried that this, whatever it is. Sam motioned to all of him before grabbing Danny's hands again, What if it hurts people. I'm a monster Danny, this is my Father and Dean and My worst fear.

Sam was shaking and his form grew fuzzy at the edges like static of bleeding watercolour on wet paper. Flaming eyes soaking through his cheeks and the colour dripping down his face and chest, the light seeming to eat it up before it could truly fall though. Danny's best guess was that it was this bodies form of tears or something close to that since the distress was falling off of Sam in crashing waves.

"Sam, you are not a monster. I know monsters and you are not even close to that. Sure you're a little messed up right now but something will help and you will get back to normal. It's not a big deal, we will figure this out." Danny tried to flash a smile to make him feel a little better but it seemed to do nothing to reassure the trembling boy.

You don't understand! What hunters do to rogue spirits and monsters. Danny they kill them! Something like me isn't going to slip past their radar. I'll be surprised if no one saw that little light show in the graveyard. What if I never go back to normal? What if I'm a fucking lightbulb for the rest of my life? I can't…

Danny didn't have the answers to any of his questions and he pulled him close hugging him again and sighing softly.

"The best thing we can do now is talk to someone who knows things, I've never seen anything even close to you before but maybe there is someone who has. Come on, let's take a trip to the Ghost Zone and visit someone." Danny suggested standing up and dragging Sam along with him.

If Sam had something to say he didn't bother instead following along after Danny his feet still not even brushing the floor as he floated along beside him easily letting Danny drag him through the air like some kind of strange inflatable balloon. He had no idea what Danny was talking about, he had never been or seen proof of the Ghost Zone even though it was something that rumored to exist but if Danny was going to take him there than he supposed he was going to get some first hand evidence. If he wasn't so distressed about his current situation he may have even been excited about their little field trip.

It took a good amount of sneaking and phasing through walls to get to the portal within his parents basement and ducking inside of it, the entire time Sam had said nothing only letting Danny drag him along beside him and that made Danny worry more than anything.

The second they stepped foot in the ghost zone though Sam's head snapped up and his entire body went rigid like he was waiting for something very bad to happen but nothing did and Danny raised a brow.

"You okay Sam?" He asked and Sam nodded floating forward further into the Zone curiously.

Everything in here felt so alive even though it shouldn't have Sam didn't understand but it sparked something deep inside of him as though a once dormant switch had been flipped on and he grinned. This was exciting and he felt power rushing through his veins looking over at Danny and motioning for him to follow along. Which he did but a sick feeling was sinking is his stomach at the sense he was getting off Sam. Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to bring such a distressed creature straight into the ghost zone but he figured that would be the best way to explain what was going on to Skulker.

He thought that maybe the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter would have some sort of advice about what Danny could possibly be and if he didn't than maybe he knew someone that would be able to help them out. Swallowing thickly he flew ahead of Danny and lead him towards the lair of the hunter hoping beyond hope that Sam wouldn't be one of those ghosts that went stark raving mad after they were created. He didn't think he would be able to bear having to put Sam down permanently or leave him in Walkers jail, he didn't deserve that especially since this was all Vlad's fault.

Danny didn't have too long to last in though before they were on the edge of Skulkers lair and he could sense the other ghost hiding out on the inside just waiting for them to fall into one of his booby traps so he could claim his…pelt…or whatever he wanted to do. What a weirdo.

"Skulker? I know you're in there. Come out we need your help." Danny called setting down on the oddly coloured ground and pulling Sam close beside him not wanting to let the fresh spirit wander too far out into the trap littered forest and have something happen to him. That would be a catastrophe.

Sam's energy signature was strange enough though to pull the mechanical behemoth from his hiding place and into the clearing where Danny stood with Sam constantly trying to wander just a little further out of reach.

"What is that." Skulker spat running scans up and over Sam as he tried to asses his danger level and exactly what he was dealing with. His scans were coming up empty with only a very residual ecto-signature clouding around him. This boy was nothing like anything that Skulker had ever seen before and he too was feeling the drag and pull of the moth to flame effect that Sam seemed to have on ghosts.

"We need your help Skulker, I thought since you know. You're like the Ghost Zones greatest hunter and all that, that maybe you could tell me exactly what we are dealing with here. I mean Sam is clearly not a human anymore and I don't know what Plasmius did to him but he messed him up." Danny told him all in a rush the feeling like he had eaten a bag of rocks only growing heavier as he watched the confusion settle on Skulkers features and the way he stared at Sam with such a strange reverence.

"Ghost child I have never seen such a creature before in all my years. He is not a ghost, and he is not a boy, not anymore. He is something else entirely." Skulker told him and those words caught Sam's attention more than anything else in the Ghost Zone and those killer eyes narrowed to slits.

NO!

There was no time to react to the force of the telekinetic shove that threw both Danny and Skulker away from him and a good few feet away entirely.

I am not I am not whatever you think I am. I am Sam Winchester and I am a human! He roared and Danny had to cover his ears even though it did nothing to stop the sound radiating within his head and by the look of it Skulker was like wise affected.

"Sam! Calm down, don't listen to him. That's just his opinion!" Danny called as he dragged himself to his feet and rushed over to the distressed boy grabbing at his hands and trying to calm him even though he didn't know how and he could feel the confusion and upset raining off of him.

"You are a human, you are." Danny cooed pulling him close and snapping gloved fingers in front of his face until the flame eyed creature refocused on him and not on the poor mechanical thing that he looked like he wanted to tear limb from limb.

"Hey, you're still Sam and I still love you. That doesn't change just because you are a glowstick." He shook him a little flashing a smile and trying to keep a positive outlook until Sam settled more and hugged him back. Only then did he let out a tiny breath of relief now that Sam wasn't going to kill Skulker.

I am going to be a monster forever Danny… I don't want to be a monster…

Danny didn't know what to tell him and when he looked back up for Skulker he was gone. Taken off as far away from Danny and Sam as he could possibly get knowing that whatever Sam was he wasn't a ghost and he was definitely more dangerous than anything Skulker wanted to attempt to deal with on his own.

"Look, we can go back home and we will get Tucker and Sam to help us out. They know a whole lot about ghosts and stuff and they aren't rude like Skulker. Maybe Sam will let you stay at her place for a while she's got like some great hiding places." Danny offered taking his hand again and pulling the desolate spirit back towards the opening to the human world.

He couldn't let Sam give up hope based on just Skulker opinion that just wasn't right and it was stupid. Who knew f Skulker was even at all accurate he could have just been spooked by the way Sam looked and read the situation all wrong, that had to be it. Slightly reassured by his thoughts he sighed taking a peak at Sam and seeing nothing but upset scrawled on his face. At least he wasn't angry anymore…
