A/N: Hey guys so sorry that I haven't updated lately I have been working hard at this one but was struggling with the timeline. Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter and am working on Chapter 11 I will update 10 flashback tonight probably, I love all comments and would love to hear what you think or what you would like to think.
Chapter 10
Terrence and I walked hand in hand into the town hall where the residents of Syorybrooke were meeting. I looked around at everyone, they all stood around talking to one another. Glancing at Terrence, I sighed not sure what to do. Wrapping his arm around me, he pulled me to his side kissing my temple. I smiled, closing my eyes for the briefest of moments. I worried he may disappear if I wasn't careful. As everyone settled into their seats, we found a seat by Ruby and her grandmother. I tried my best to look around some more. I wasn't really searching for Oswin, but a small part of me was hoping he was there. Thats when I saw her, my mother. After I found out who she was, I did some research and I was confident that was her.
"That's Regina, she's the mayor here," Terrence said softly into my ear.
"Who was she in the Enchanted Forest?" I asked glancing at him.
"The Evil Queen," He said not looking at me.
"Terrence, she's my mom," I said still looking at him.
"Are you sure?" He asked looking at me in shock.
"Yeah, Oswin told me before I left Oz." I said looking back at her.
"Are you okay?" He asked as Charming came in front of all of us I only nodded taking Terrence's hand.
"I know you are all concerned with what's going on. I know it feels like just yesterday we defeated Pan and were breaking his curse, but in reality it's been a year at least."
"Were we cursed?" Someone asked.
"That's the only thing that makes sense, but as you all know we were suppose to go back to the Enchanted Forest when we were cursed last year. The question is if we did or not."
"My men and I are from the Enchanted Forest. The last thing we remember is hunting in the woods." A man said from the back of the room.
"How many of you are from the Enchanted Forest and woke up here?" Charming asked. I raised my hand along with about ten other people.
"What does this solve? Shouldn't we focus on what we are doing back and where Emma and Henry are?" Regina asked I looked over at her then back at Charming.
"You don't think I want to know where my daughter and grandson are? We need to take this step-by-step, we need to have hope that those we love will come back to us." Charming said I glanced at Terrence who smiled at me softly. "We're all under a lot of stress, go home and be with the people you care about. If anyone thinks of something let me know." David said.
"Are you hungry?" Terrence asked I nodded.
"Come on we can go to Granny's." He said, standing up I walked into the aisle almost running into Regina apologizing quickly I took Terrence's hand. He squeezed it and walked with me. Closing my eyes I leaned against the pillar. Terrence stood there in front of me holding my hands in his.
"You going to be alright?" He asked stepping closer.
"Yeah, do you mind if we just go home I'm tired and this is all a little overwhelming. " I asked he kissed my forehead making me smile.
"Whatever you want you can have." He said pulling me off the pillar.
We went home and things seems to mellow out for at least a couple of days before a woman by the name of Emma Swan showed up. She called yet another town meeting and Terrence and I decided to go, at least stay up to date with the Storybrooke residents. So for the second time in a week Terrence and I made our way into town. It was noisy with people talking and yelling over each other. Finding ourselves a seat, we stayed to ourselves seeing as we didn't know many people.
"Everyone, everyone I know you're frightened and confused but I need you to listen." Emma yelled over the roar of the crowd they all settled and we turned to face her.
"Is it true, is there some kind of monster keeping us from leaving town?" A man asked.
"That's Dr. Hopper aka Jiminy cricket." Terrence whispered.
"Is that what happened to my brothers?" Another asked, he seemed grumpy to me.
"That's Leroy or Grumpy, also the town drunk."
"Yes, we believe people are being abducted as they approach the town line." Emma said calmly.
"So we're trapped here, again." Granny said, I looked at Terrence who shrugged.
"It's no different than the last time." Emma said softly.
"Last time we lost our memories, this time we get dragged into the woods." Leroy spat.
"Do you know who cursed us? And why they want us here?" a woman named Belle asked.
"We're working on it, it's hard to figure out who cast a curse when no one remembers the last year." Emma said.
"Who? Isn't it obvious?" Grumpy asked standing up.
"Do you remember something?" Emma asked.
"Who cast the last curse? Who knows how to use it?" He asked turning to face the rest of us. "Who's the only one who's done anything like this before? THE EVIL QUEEN." He yelled pointing towards the back of the room. I turned to see Regina standing there.
"For once I am just a clueless as the rest of you." Regina said throwing her arms out in defence.
"You expect us to believe that?" A man asked.
"That's Dr. Wale." Terrence said once again but I wasn't paying attention.
"Just tell us the truth, we'll understand." Dr Hopper said pleading with Regina.
"Speak for yourself" Granny said.
"I am telling the truth." Regina said walking towards the isle. "If I had done this there's one thing I'd have right now, my son." Regina said angrily I looked at Terrence who was avoiding my gaze.
"Yeah your not going anywhere near him until I get to the bottom of what's going on here." Emma said.
"So now you're siding with the rebel?" Regina asked causing everyone to make a commotion. "I thought we'd been through this? I'm innocent."
"Yes that's what you said before but now I'm wondering if I believe you." Emma said as everyone stood up.
"Don't come any closer." Regina said putting her hands up. "Do you remember who you're dealing with?" Regina said looking around, I could of swore she looked at me. "If you all want me to be the evil queen then fine, that's exactly who you'll get." She said pushing her arms forward, I could feel the ground shake beneath me and Terrence grabbed me so I wouldn't fall. The sign and flag fell as well as some of the ceiling. Regina had more than caused the earthquake before she vanished into a cloud of purple smoke, the movement stopped and I let out a sigh.
"I knew she did it," Leroy said as Emma pushed her way through everyone.
"We can't let her get away." Wale said as Emma passed him.
"I won't." Emma said walking out briskly.
I looked at Terrence. "Did you know?" I asked he only nodded. Standing up I pushed my way through everyone running out the front doors.
I walked quickly to a nearby park sitting down on the bench looking out at the water my eyes blurring with tears. Forcing them closed I rested her head in my hands trying to stop the tears, I could feel the bench freezing beneath me. I knew Terrence was there before he spoke, he didn't have to say anything nor did I want him to.
"I'm sorry" He said quietly sitting on the other side of the bench. You would think that after knowing each other for 20 years he would know to just let me vent alone.
"You should have told me." I said looking up at him.
"I didn't think it would be a big deal." He said making me glare at him feeling more ice form around me. Closing my eyes quickly I tried to breathe and calm down.
"Not a big deal? My mom has a son and probably doesn't want me in her life. She did give me up."
"He's adopted Ess, and the son of Emma Swan and Rumplestilskins son."
"Is that supposed to make a difference? He's still her son, you remember I was adopted too." I said standing up, Terrence stood and grabbed my arm, I turned and looked at him. Without saying anything he pulled me against him I pushed off shaking my head. "Don't, I'm going for a walk I'll come back over in a bit." I said turning to walk away I heard him head off towards the other direction.
Walking for a little while I started to think about Regina and Alexandra, for me Aly had been my mom for my whole life. She had been there when I needed someone and helped me to control my magic. Glancing down at my hands I smiled at the ring on my finger, knowing it had been Ali's gave me so much comfort. A shadow danced across the ground as something flew over me. Looking up quickly I forced my eyes to try and make out what it was but the sun blinded me instantly. I moved under a pine tree and watched the sky carefully. I was praying it was only my imagination and that the monster taking people over the town line wasn't one of Zelena's monkeys. I heard screeches above me and my heart sank thinking about the flying monkeys, the monkey flew over one last time before flying away and I ran out from the tree headed back towards town. My heart was pounding when I reached Terrence's house, pushing open the door I ran inside slamming the door behind me letting my weight fall against it. Terrence came out of the kitchen and looked at me.
"I know who cursed us, it was Zalena." I said catching my breath.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Why else would flying monkeys be in Storybrooke?" Terrence looked at me in confusion as I spoke stepping towards me.
"Monkey's?" He breathed.
"We need to warn people, I don't know why she's here but I have to imagine it has something to do with me." I said looking out the window.
"Don't think like that you don't know why they are here."
"Because flying monkeys are just so common." I said sarcastically. A more serious tone came to my voice, "We need to tell the others."
It was getting late and almost nightfall when we got to Mary Margaret and David's apartment, we walked upstairs and heard voices in the hallway.
"It's not like we're in Kansas, why would the Wicked Witch want to come to Storybrooke?" Emma asked as we rounded the corner and I hurried up the stairs.
"Because of me" I said quickly making everyone look at me.
"Why would she go after you?" Hook asked.
"I'm from Oz, but right now that doesn't matter. Zelena's out there somewhere and I don't know what she has planned but it can't be good" I said looking at Regina.
"You said Zelena?" Mary Margaret asked looking horrified.
"Yes why?"
"I met her today, she wanted to be my midwife." I almost fell off the step as she spoke but Terrence held me tightly with his arm around my waist. "What do we do?" She asked looking at me.
"Act like none of us know, hopefully that will give us a chance to figure out why she's here." Emma said looking at me for agreement, I nodded.
"What's your name?" Regina asked.
"I'm Elsa and this is Terrence." I said looking at Terrence.
"Hi we've met before" He said smiling politely.
"Now that we all know each other, first thing tomorrow we start figuring out what she wants with you." David said I nodded smiling slightly. Terrence and I left after agreeing to have them help, walking outside it was already dark. We didn't say much to each other at first before I spoke up.
"I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier, I was being selfish." I said glancing at him to see he was smiling.
"It's okay, I still love you" He said looking at me I laughed taking his hand.
"Good, I can't do this without my tin man" I said kissing his cheek as we walked down the street. Neither of us noticed the monkey watching us from the tree behind us.
