Raven had picked out the first pair of jeans she found, a blue lace blouse, and dressed quickly. As soon as she was done, she took up her meditative pose and chanted her mantra a few times. Soon, she was in her own mind, standing in front of a line of colorful spectators.

"Hey, Ravey! What's up!? So juicy what happened with Robin! He's soooo gorgeous!" giggled the pink emotion, making Raven groan.

"I need to meet her. The new emotion. Where is she?" The colorful line automatically pointed straight behind Raven, making her turn hastily. As she spotted the pastel coloured version of herself, she ran to where it was sitting under a tree. She stopped abruptly as she finally took in the scenery. She knew even her mental scenery had changed from the creepy dead desert it had been before, but what she saw now as totally new. She was used to some light, and the trees filled with green leaves and grass everywhere, but now there was more. There was a pond, flowers, and she thought she could hear a bird chirp in the distant.

"Umm… what's going on here?" The new emotion looked up at her with a smile.

"As you have been changing, so has your mind… and obviously your feelings…" Raven nodded absentmindedly as she took in the new colour. Is this really what my eyes look like to Robin? She looked around as her words resounded as if it had come out through speakers. That's right; her thoughts were loud and clear in her mind. She looked back at the new emotion.

"Hi, how are you?" Raven asked and the emotion smiled.

"Happy… Hopeful… Excited… Nervous…Fluttery… a few other things… you take your pick." Raven scrunched up her nose.

"But, my emotions don't work that way. You always feel one way… that's how emotions work! How can you be all of these things at once?" Raven turned her head slightly to the side and the emotion smiled again.

"I'm bigger than they are, I am, and provide you with, much more than just one feeling." Raven looked back at the other emotions who all, except for Knowledge, looked just as confused as she was. She turned back towards the girl in front of her.

"Who are you? Well… what emotion are you?" again a smile.

"I'm afraid I can't just tell you that. The time will come when you will recognize me, and then I'll confirm it. Until then, just follow your heart. However strange that may seem." Raven noticed Knowledge nod in agreement.

"But… it shouldn't be that way… aren't I supposed to know about my feelings…" She suddenly thought of something else.

"What do you have to do with Robin?" Raven watched as her emotion blushed and smiled tenderly.

"Ah, you're already on the way to finding out." She winked and Raven grimaced. You'd think that having my emotions take on a physical form I can talk to would make it easier to understand them! She grumbled internally, while it was still broadcasted, making her emotions laugh and shake their heads.

"Fine, be that way. I gotta go meet Robin… why do you blush like that when I mention him!?" The pang of jealousy wasn't new to Raven as she glared at the pink-purple version of herself.

"Again, you'll understand in time. Bye, Rae." Raven gave her a final glare and disappeared. As she straightened out of her meditation, she heard Robin's knock at the door. She ran to the door and flung it open. Robin had on jeans and a dark blue shirt with random designs on it. Raven admired the style as Robin smiled at her.

"You look great, Rae." Raven blushed slightly and looked down.

"You too. Where are we going?" She asked as he led the way towards the door.

"How about just the hotel restaurant? Don't want to venture too far out our first night here." Raven nodded with a smile as she walked through the door he held open.

The dinner had been a success. They had their fill of different cultural foods and forced themselves to stop when they were full. On the way back, they stopped to sit on a bench to watch the stars. Raven let herself relax as she listened to the waves break down by the beach. Robin smiled at her relaxed form.

"You seem to be enjoying our vacation so far… well, at least this part of it." Robin stated simply. Raven looked at him, nodded, and turned to space out again. Robin frowned.

"Why is your mind so far away from here right now? Am I boring you?" As he said this, he wished with all his heart that he was wrong, and fearing that he would be right.

"No, you're not boring at all." answered Raven, quickly becoming caring and concerned.

"I was just thinking about that new emotion. It bothers me that I don't know what it is or what it wants. Not being able to put a name on it is very frustrating…" Robin noticed her eyebrows pucker in that frustration and chuckled.

"Just give it time, just like it said. I'm sure they know what they're doing… wow… it's weird talking about emotions as physical forms…" Raven smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Let it go for now. Come on, let's head back. I want you to rest so that you can heal yourself faster." He nodded towards her arm and Raven winced as she remembered her injury. How were they going to face their teammates? She wasn't ready to see Starfire yet after she had hurt Robin. Robin was even angrier than she was because Starfire had hurt her so badly. How would he react to it? Her hesitation and worry were plain in her face and Robin stopped to look at her.

"Rae, what's wrong?" He gently grabbed the hand of her injured arm and lifted it to examine it. He noticed no change in the wound and looked back at her in confusion.

"I was just thinking about what happened today… how are we supposed to face Starfire and Beast Boy after what happened? How are things going to be from now on? What have I done…" the anguish in her voice made Robin's mind spin with renewed anger at his teammates for causing Raven pain.

"I don't know how everything will turn out, but I do know that you have done nothing wrong. You're not at fault, they should have known to control themselves instead of react like children." Raven grimaced at the word.

"Robin, they are children. Cyborg is almost 21, you're almost 20 and I'm almost 19, but they're still 17. I would still be a kid if I didn't have such a hard past. We shouldn't have angered them more… I should have seen it coming… I should have stopped it… never have started it…" Robin shook his head and took hold of both her hands.

"It's not your fault! Regardless of their age, they know the correct way to react to a conflict within the team. We never fight each other, only protect each other. And, if anyone was to blame, it would be me. I'm supposed to be the leader and I dismissed their feelings and never offered an explanation when the times most called for it. So don't punish yourself unnecessarily." He carefully tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and saw her blush at the action.

"We really need to sort this out… and be ready for the worse case scenario…" They both frowned at the thought.

"Just leave it to me. I'll figure something out. Right now, all you have to worry about is regaining your energy, and healing your injury. Okay?" Robin gave her a special sideways smile and her heart fluttered. She nodded yes without hesitation, and let him pull her towards the apartment. She looked down at their intertwined fingers and felt the blush spread through her cheeks. It reminded her of the new emotion and the way it blushed whenever she mentioned Robin, and she couldn't help wondering what it was all about…

Robin walked in first to the apartment, with Raven right behind him. As they slowly made their way to the living room, Robin could feel Raven fidgeting behind him. Calm down, it's not like we're facing an enemy. Besides, I doubt they'll be here. I'm sure Cyborg worked something out. Raven thought about it for a bit and relaxed. Yea, you're right. They're in the T.V. room, so we don't have to cross paths yet… unless you planned to… Not yet. Not until all traces of injury are gone from you. Raven smiled and followed behind Robin. They both walked into her room without pause. Raven sat on the bed as Robin sat on a chair next to her.

"So, when do you think you can heal yourself?" Raven's eyebrows puckered at the unsuspected question.

"Umm… I think I can manage to do it tomorrow. By then it should have automatically healed enough that it'll be closed, then I just have to finish healing it so that it won't scar. Why do you ask?" Robin shrugged as he sat back on the chair.

"Well, I remember you were really excited about the bioluminescent bay, so I was planning to get the team together and sort things out in the morning. Then, we could head out kayaking and you can see it. What do you think?" Raven's face lit up in excitement and anticipation as she nodded quickly.

"That sounds great! Oh, I can't wait!" Robin chuckled at her excitement, making her blush.

"Ok, I should go. I still haven't caught up with my sleep." He stood up swiftly and kissed Raven's cheek gently. Raven blushed and nodded. Robin stopped to stare at her. Raven felt the intense way he looked at her, and felt her face get even hotter, making her turn her head away.

"Why do you turn away?" Raven shook her head at his question.

"I'm not used to blushing… and definitely not used to people seeing me blush." Robin placed a hand under her chin and lifted her face to look into her pink-lavender eyes.

"I like seeing it… it's like your skin suddenly glows… you're beautiful, Rae, stop trying to hide… especially from me…" Her eyes widened at his words, and as she thought about what he said, her eyes turned a slightly darker purple.

"I'll stop hiding from you, but you should stop hiding from me also… You see me clearly while I still see a mask… that seems like a double standard to me…" Robin frowned, but couldn't disagree. She was right. How could he expect to know everything about her freely, if he didn't offer her the same in return? He wished he could deny that fact, but knew that it wasn't fair. He sat down next to her, looked straight at her, and nodded. Raven hesitated for a fraction of a second, but slowly reached up to the edges of his mask. She removed it carefully and placed it on the bed before looking at his eyes. As her eyes shifted up to his face, Robin breathed in deeply. Raven gasped.

"They are hazel… I've never… they're so unique…" she reached up her hand and carefully caressed his face, from eyebrows to jaw to ears to nose and then let her fingers linger on his lips. She looked into his deep eyes with curiosity.

"What are you thinking?" Robin smiled at her question and took her hand in his. Then, he leaned in to kiss her. Raven momentarily forgot where she was, and by the time she regained the ability to think, Robin was on top of her looking flushed. I've always wanted to kiss you like that… Raven smiled and let her eyes flutter open.

"Oh" she gasped as she looked into his eyes. Robin turned his head slightly sideways in question. "They are so blue again… your eyes are so beautiful, no hazel left in them…" Robin blushed slightly and Raven smiled at the uncontrollable action.

"Thank you… blue you say? I don't think I've ever seen them very blue…" You're eyes are much more beautiful… especially that colour… He carefully tucked away her hair from her face and admired her. He kissed her gently again and ran his hand carefully up her side, making Raven moan. The sound sent his mind in a frenzy and he stopped kissing her to look down at her. Suddenly, her scent seemed overpowering, she tasted intoxicatingly delicious, and once again her heartwarming presence seemed to reach inside him. Robin felt her fingers interlace into his hair as she pulled him down into another kiss. The sudden desire he felt for her was almost too much to bear and he had to disentangle her hands and pull up slightly to look at her.

"Hold on…" Raven looked up at him in confusion.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, and Robin noticed hurt begin to fill her eyes.

"No… I just need a minute to gather my thoughts again…" Raven smiled slightly, which definitely didn't help him much. He kissed her again, a bit more fiercely, she moaned at the desire radiating from him, and he moaned as she shifted under him. Robin pulled away again as the feel of her body under his drove his mind into chaos. He laid his head on the nape of her neck and breathed in carefully.

"I need to learn a little bit more control… just give me a minute…" Raven nodded and shifted slightly underneath him. The unexpected friction made him moan slightly again. "For the love of my sanity, please don't move…" Raven froze with a smile. She stroked his hair, and he finally looked up.

"I'm sorry… My control isn't very good right now… I just can't help it once I kiss you, I don't want to stop… and if I let myself go too far, I won't be able to stop…" She blushed and Robin rolled sideways unto the bed. They both took deep breaths.

"I really should go now…" Raven looked at him as he got up and walked to the adjoining door. He turned to face her.

"If you're not tired, check the bookshelf, I got some things for you that I think you might enjoy." Raven smiled up at him.

"Thank you, Robin. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Raven." As soon as the door closed, Robin sank to the floor against it. His mind was now closed to Raven, and he let himself think freely. I can't just let myself get carried away with her! I care about her too much and I can't allow myself to lose control. If I hurt her… I won't be able to deal with it… she has to be the one to decide how far this relationship goes… I can't force anything it has got to be her choice! And if she does decide to go on, then it has got to be perfect for her… Robin pulled on his hair and got to his feet. After taking a cold shower, he threw himself on bed and fell into uneasy sleep.
