So, with the exception of chapter 25, chapters 17 through 21 are all that I have that is intact enough to share in chapter format. The rest of what I've written is rougher and missing significant portions. In this section, I will share some excerpts from the following chapters.
Excerpt 1: after Kirby boards the Halberd again
: "We got bigger problems, though! Kirby's inside again!"
Kirby ran forward and inhaled a living helmet enemy. He then swallowed to copy its Cutter ability. After that, Kirby spun around quickly to inhale a laser-firing orb enemy that had been trying to sneak up on him.
Upon swallowing the second enemy, its Beam ability mixed with Cutter ability to create Whip combo-ability! A red cowboy hat appeared on his head and a whip appeared in his hand.
A number of yellow PBJs were making their way towards Kirby. Kirby cracked his whip, making it snap into the one closest, which burst in to stars. The PBJs threw a couple bombs and boomerangs, which Kirby dodged. Kirby countered by swinging his whip so that it wrapped around another of the PBJs. Kirby then spun that PBJ back at its fellows; it sped towards them, spouting stars in every direction, and exploded on impact, reducing many others to stars as well.
A huge volley of bombs and boomerangs came Kirby's way. Kirby whipped a few of them out of the air as he dodged, but there were too many. One of the boomerangs cut through Kirby's whip and he lost his ability.
Kirby inhaled mightily. The PBJs struggled against the current, and two still-airborne boomerangs entered Kirby's mouth. He swallowed, copying both of their Cutter abilities to create Super Cutter combo-ability! The same Cutter hat appeared on Kirby's head, but it was blue this time, rather than yellow.
When Kirby threw the Cutter blade, it suddenly grew to at least three times its original size and sliced through a whole row of PBJs before shrinking back down as Kirby caught it.
The remaining PBJs retreated, running back through the door they had come into the corridor by.
Kirby followed.
: "Kirby is heading toward the reactor!"
: "One of our army regiments is down there!"
: "Kirby won't be able to plow through ALL of them, will he?"
Kirby emerged in a gigantic room. It had a high ceiling, platforms sticking out of its walls and platforms atop pillars. There were targets around it, which were covered in weapons and holes. There were ladders and bars around the platforms. This looked like some sort of training facility, from which the soldiers could also guard the Halberd's reactor core.
...And there certainly were many soldiers. They littered the floor and every platform. Kirby could see a single door on the far side of the area. He would have to indeed "plow through" them all to get there.
Captain: "KILL KIRBY NOW!"
Kirby leapt forward and threw his Super Cutter again.
Excerpt 2: as Kirby is trying to escape the Halberd after destroying its core reactor
Kirby threw the door open and entered an area where three PBJs were waiting for an elevator to arrive.
One of them was fast enough to pull out a bomb, but Kirby leapt forward and inhaled them all at once. He then swallowed to copy Bomb ability.
The elevator door opened and Kirby entered. This elevator would only go up to a single higher floor, so Kirby punched the button that made it do so.
Kirby then stood in the elevator for a tense minute. The Halberd's shaking was making the elevator shake even more.
As soon as the doors opened, Kirby raced out of them. He ran up a number of steps, jumping a large hole in the middle of them, and entered another door.
He was about to cross this next room when the door at its opposite end burst open.
The Meta Elite rushed into the room.
"Wait, Kirby!" said Meta Blade.
"You can't go any further!" hissed Meta Lance.
"It's rematch time!" roared Meta Chain.
Kirby threw a bomb, but all six of his opponents dodged. He did not want to be fighting these guys at the moment.
Meta Chain let loose his mace at Kirby, who dodged straight into an attack by Meta Sword.
The jumping slice was a heavy hit, and Kirby lost Bomb ability.
Kirby jumped immediately, barely avoiding Axe Knight's ax. He then inhaled as a trident came flying towards him. He swallowed it for Needle ability!
Kirby jumped at Meta Drone, who had been coming in close, and activated Needle, but was hit out of the air by Meta Chain's mace. He lost his ability instantly.
Meta Blade sped towards him in that spinning attack, and he jumped. Kirby then had a split second glimpse of Meta Drone coming at him. Meta Drone's body (the part of him that wasn't his head) was spinning rapidly, with a flaming spear extended from it. Kirby was stuck in the side and fell to the ground, where Meta Lance promptly crashed into him, skewering him on that trident of his.
Kirby planted his feet on the ground, and Meta Lance miraculously flipped off him.
Kirby stood up, pulled the trident out of his side, and put it in his mouth. He then spat the star shot at Meta Axe, who was closest. Meta Axe dodged.
Meta Drone shot his flaming spear. Kirby inhaled and swallowed, copying Fire ability.
Kirby ran to the side, away from Meta Lance behind him.
Meta Blade attacked again, with a number of sword slices. Instead of simply dodging, Kirby jumped over Meta Blade and breathed fire at him.
Meta Blade jumped to the side and made a thrusting attack at the spot where Kirby was landing, but Kirby had stopped breathing fire in the air, and he now inhaled.
This surprise somehow allowed him to inhale Meta Blade's sword.
As Meta Blade yelled in shock, Kirby swallowed, mixing Sword ability with Fire ability to create Fire Sword combo-ability!
Kirby's normally green Sword ability hat appeared red on his head, and a flaming sword twice the size of his normal sword appeared in his hand.
Kirby ran, swinging his new blade in huge circles. Meta Blade, Meta Axe and Meta Chain all had to jump out of his way. Meta Chain swung his mace after Kirby, but Kirby's sword spun around, severing its chain and sending the mace flying straight into Meta Lance, who had been about to throw another trident.
There was a rasp of pain from Meta Lance, followed by alarmed shouts from the rest of the Meta Elite.
Meta Sword lunged at Kirby, ducked around the Fire Sword, and gave Kirby a nasty slice. Kirby lost his combo-ability.
Kirby rolled over, jumped backward, dodged a flying ax as Meta Axe threw it, spun around, and thrust the door open. He had been heading for this door from the moment he had gotten the Fire Sword.
Kirby raced through and banged it shut behind him. That very instant, a flaming spear punctured it, causing the door to be set ablaze.
Meta Axe: "It's no good, Sir!"
Meta Chain: "Lance is hurt!"
Meta Blade: "We're evacuating!"
Meta Sword: "You'll have a clear shot on your own!"
Kirby kept running. He ran up a slanted hallway and through a door, meeting no enemies.
He crossed this small room and entered another door.
Kirby found himself in another cubic arena-like room. There was a platform high on the far wall, above a door.
"This is the end of the line," said Meta Knight's voice.
Kirby looked quickly up at the top of the platform. [description of Meta Knight from behind]
Kirby raced towards the door. But, before he had moved more than two steps, a sword suddenly stuck in the ground in front of him.
"Get ready," continued Meta Knight.
There was a crash as the platform slammed down onto the ground, blocking the door.
Meta Knight still had his back turned. Kirby could see a light gray, gloved hand holding a golden sword. It looked as though Meta Knight had cut through the place where the platform had been connected to the wall.
Kirby inhaled the sword and swallowed it to copy Sword ability.
Meta Knight turned. [description of Meta Knight from the front]
"Fight me!"
Kirby jumped out of the way as Meta Knight came at him in a rushing slice.
Kirby made a swipe himself, but Meta Knight parried it and sliced into Kirby.
Kirby jumped backward as stars flew from him. Strangely, though, he did not lose his ability. Meta Knight rushed forward again. Kirby blocked his attack, blocked again, swung again... The two swords clanged off each other over and over.
Then Meta Knight managed to strike Kirby's side, thrusting Kirby away with the force of the blow.
Kirby landed, got up, but had only a split second glimpse of Meta Knight before he was run over. Meta Knight had turned himself into some sort of wheel, spinning vertically and using the force of his sword in the floor to fly at Kirby.
Kirby got up again, but was sliced again. Meta Knight had stopped behind him and attacked again.
Kirby spun around and made more slashes, but Meta Knight blocked each one as it came his way.
Suddenly, Meta Knight jumped and swung his sword, firing a huge sword beam at Kirby, who barely managed to dodge in time!
Meta Knight landed, and in an instant he was in front of Kirby.
Seized with a sudden desperate idea, Kirby left himself open as Meta Knight made a thrusting attack.
Kirby swung his blade around as Meta Knight struck. In the instant after Meta Knight had plunged his sword into Kirby's forehead, Kirby brought his own sword upward.
Meta Knight jumped backward, but his mask didn't move with him. Kirby had sliced vertically through its middle, and its two halves fell to the floor.
[description of Meta Knight's face] But, no, he couldn't be... a Dream Lander!
[Meta Knight escapes, leaving an exit for Kirby.]
Kirby landed on the floor above, and was then run over by some sort of runaway tire. Kirby lost Sword ability.
Still wondering why Meta Knight's sword attacks hadn't made him lose his ability before now, Kirby saw more tires hurtling towards him.
Kirby jumped out of the way, and saw that these tires had unrolling eyes in their sides. Some even had metal seats on their tops that somehow didn't spin with the wheel. These must be the escaping Wheelies the Meta Clan mentioned.
Meta Knight suddenly burst back down through a hole in the ceiling he had made above the one in the floor. He was wearing another mask identical to the one Kirby had destroyed, and bat-like wings had sprouted from his back where his cape used to be.
"You'll never escape!"
Without pausing to think, Kirby jumped onto the seat of one of the Wheelies and sped off on top of it.
Meta Knight flew after Kirby.
Kirby stood up on his Wheelie, waiting for Meta Knight to strike.
Meta Knight fired a sword beam. Kirby leapt from his ride and onto another seat-bearing Wheelie.
Meta Knight sped forward, trying to attack Kirby directly, but Kirby jumped to another Wheelie again.
Meta Knight flew higher into the air and raised his left hand, the one not holding his sword. A bright orb of energy materialized around it. He then shot that orb at Kirby, who dodged to a fourth Wheelie.
The orb exploded on contact, destroying the third Wheelie and all the ones around it.
Meta Knight quickly shot more and more of these orbs, destroying Wheelies left and right. Kirby was frequently forced to jump from a Wheelie to the ground before jumping to another one.
When the Wheelies began dwindling in number, Kirby started running, but his speed was nowhere near as good as theirs.
One of the orbs came in contact with Kirby, who was flung forward by the blast. Kirby quickly righted himself and kept running. The next orb hit just behind him. Kirby felt the heat singe his back. He had at last run out of defensive star power.
One more Wheelie was coming. Kirby quickly hopped onto it.
Kirby nearly slipped off the other side of the Wheelie. This caused the Wheelie to lean to that side, and swerve out of the way of another orb.
Kirby got on the Wheelie properly, and used this discovery to his advantage. He leaned left and right on top of the Wheelie, making it swerve to evade the orbs Meta Knight fired at him.
Kirby could see light at the end of the long tunnel he was in. Fire was in places on the ground. So were large cracks. Kirby steered the Wheelie around them, but they made his path predictable, and he knew that sooner or later...
An orb collided with his back, blasting him out of the Halberd.
Kirby felt himself falling.
Through his pain, he wheezed, "Warp... Star..."
...and one caught him.
Meta Knight's roars of anger were soon lost in the distance.
Excerpt 3: after Kirby goes to Big Forest and is congratulated by Gooey for destroying the Halberd
Suddenly, there was a rustling in the bushes on the side of the clearing. Kirby jumped in surprise and got ready to inhale if an enemy appeared.
Something emerged from the bushes. Its body consisted of nothing but a head and feet. Its skin was light purple. It had large round eyes. It wore a red bow under its chin, and brown shoes with bulbous toes. It also wore [description of Marx's hat].
"Hey!" it said in a slightly babyish voice.
Kirby paused, unsure what to do.
"You're that Star Warrior, right?" said the thing.
And Kirby remembered. Star Warrior was the term Kracko had used to describe him. He had meant to ask Gooey about it, but had forgotten until now.
"Star Warrior?" repeated Kirby. "What's that?"
"I'll explain later, Kirby," said Gooey. "More importantly, who is this?"
"Yeah, who are you?"
"Wha?" The thing looked confused. "Who... What's that voice?"
There was a moment's silence.
Kirby blinked.
"Voice?" he replied.
"You were just talking to someone who's not here," said the thing. "And, his voice sounded like it was coming from you!"
"Oh, right." Kirby understood. He had so quickly grown accustomed to Gooey speaking through him...
"There's a phone in my mouth," explained Kirby. "It—"
"Kirby!" interrupted Gooey. "In the future, do NOT give away information like that so quickly!"
"Hey, I'm just here to help you out," said the thing.
"Oh?" replied Kirby. As he said this, he attempted to conceal his uneasiness by advancing one step towards the creature.
"Don't inhale me or anything," said the thing, backing away one step. "I'm from the Nova Corporation. I was told to take you to the Star Rod shard in Big Forest."
"Really?" said Kirby. He wondered if he should feel relieved.
"Really!" confirmed the thing enthusiastically.
"Hold on," interrupted Gooey. "Did you say you were from the Nova Corporation?"
"Uh, yeah!" answered the thing. "Why?"
Excerpt 4: after Marx leads Kirby to a clearing
A bright pillar of light suddenly shone into the clearing. Moments later, it switched off, revealing the sudden materialization of a very strange creature. [description of Hardy]
Gooey gasped. "That's a Demon Beast, one of Nightmare Enterprises' monsters! My sensors are trained to see them and bring up their data. This one is the dental Demon Beast: Hardy."
"Dental?" repeated Kirby. "But, Dream Landers don't have teeth."
"BEGIN TREATMENT!" yelled Hardy in a crazed voice. It then raced at Kirby.
Kirby jumped out of Hardy's way as it thrust its drill at him.
When Kirby landed, he turned towards Hardy and inhaled.
The Demon Beast teetered in the strong wind, and then tumbled towards Kirby's mouth.
But, just as it was about to be sucked up, it caught the sides of Kirby's mouth with its hands. It then attempted to rip Kirby's mouth apart, pulling from the sides. Stars flew everywhere and Kirby choked.
Immediately, Hardy jumped over Kirby and landed behind him. The upper portion of its body swung back, as if on a hinge. Still grasping Kirby's mouth, it picked him up and placed him on the seat its body now formed.
Hardy's eye then lit up with a bright light, blinding Kirby.
Before Kirby knew what was happening, Hardy had reached into his mouth with its pliers and pulled out Gooey's cell phone.
"Kirby!" exclaimed Gooey. "What's going on?!"
Hardy flung Kirby away. Kirby hit a tree and bounced to the ground.
He opened his eyes, but could only vaguely make out the shapes of Hardy and the thing he had followed there. The light that Hardy had shined on his eyes had left a crippling afterimage.
"TREATMENT COMPLETE!" yelled Hardy. It then added, in a suddenly pleasant voice, "Thank you for the patient, Marx. You come with us now."
"What?" replied the thing, who was apparently named Marx. "But, I upheld my end of the deal!"
The bright pillar of light blazed into the clearing again. Moments later, it had gone, along with Marx and Hardy.
