Day 9

I woke up pretty early, so I could have an early breakfast and do some training. So I take a quick shower, throw on some spandex knee high shorts and a tank top with my combat boots. The bandages over my shoulders could come off because the salve was working really well and I still had my black gloves covering my arms from elbow down though. When I finished getting ready, I jogged down to the mess hall, chatted Jerry up and got two breakfast sandwiches for now. I chowed down on them as I walked towards the training department, a big room with four white walls and various training equipment like weights and a machine the spits out projectiles for you to test your accuracy. That is my favorite thing in there next to the human robot that does extreme hand to hand combat (but gets destroyed a lot, by me or Allen) and the huge punching bags. I walk into the double doors and do some quick warm ups and head over to the wrestling mat for the combat robots to find a nice little surprise already working up a small sweat.

Butter-Knife glaring at my presence.

"You?" He called out in a gruff voice, bringing his katana down. It looked like he was practicing his forms and some sort of fighting technique. But then again, I don't know how to use a sword properly to understand.

"Nice to see you too, Butter-Knife. Mine if I cut in?" I asked (with no pun intended though) as I stepped on the mat. Kanda was wearing black sweatpants and a loose tank top with combat boots as well, we were almost twinning, in a way.

"No, I'm busy."

"Doing what? Avoiding to fight me because you're scared you'll lose?" I commented as I watched his face morph into anger.

"Listen here, I can make you bleed in a second before you even realize it! So stop acting cocky and get over here so I can kick your ass!" Kanda yelled before he turned to face me with a combination with 'pissed off' and 'I'm gonna kill you' and gripped his sword. I looked at him with a shocked expression but then smirked as I waltzed up on the mat and activated my Steel Daggers.

"First to pin wins." I called and he nodded gruffly.

"Go!" He yelled as dashed ahead and swung his sword upwards, nearly missing my collarbone. He slashed again, at my chest and I did a back flip back to avoid the blow a prepared to avert his move. He thrusts his sword again and I grab the blade, twist it, grab his shirt and flip him over me. He lands on his feet but it's my turn to strike. I slash at his sides and try to find an opening, but all I could manage was a scratch on his cheek which made a tiny river of blood leak out.

He sends the sword down at my head and I block it with my forearm, the stress increasing when push back. So I throw a kick at his unguarded side which causes him to back down in pain but quickly recovers and sweeps my legs out from under me. I leap forward and aim a ragged fist at his figure but rolls out of the way and I end up crushing the mat. Out of the corner of my eye, I see him jump up and getting ready to slam his sword into me so I dodge it and stand up. Kanda turns and slams his elbow into me which I easily block with my forearm but he rapidly sends his leg into my side and I crash into the wall. He comes at me with his blade horizontally and in a split second, I would've been bleeding but I saved myself by gripping the blade. It trembled in my dark hand as sweat plastered both of our faces, as we exchanged bursts of force.

"Not bad Kanda, maybe you don't deserve to be called Butter-Knife." I said through clenched teeth and reached the blade on my elbow behind his neck, threatening to make a cut if he sliced me.

"You're better than I thought, but how the Hell are you going to get out of this one?"

"I was going to ask you the same thing." I replied as the blade trembled back and forth and my arm pressed lightly against his skin. Suddenly the double doors slammed open and I loosed my grip in surprise and Kanda's sword violently slipped out of my grasp. To avoid being sliced open, I jumped to the right and I accidentally hooked his neck and brought him down with me. I laid on my back and he fumbled on top of me and for a second, his lips lightly brushed mine and hovered there for another second or two.

So here's the situation: I'm on my back and Kanda technically kissed me, his blushed features looked like he wanted more, and this person who busted in the door was probably gawking at us wondering what the hell went down.

Once I gained the courage to look at this stranger, it was Lavi with a worried, and a little bit of embarrassment, expression on his face as he struggled for words. Apparently Kanda found them first.

"What the hell are you doing here Baka?" Kanda growled out, slowly sitting up and allowing me to breath in air instead Kanda's inciting scent that smelled of cinnamon and Lotus flowers. Lavi recomposed himself as his eyes fixed on me.

"Allen came back from his mission, he's in bad shape and he might need a transplant of Parasitic blood!"
