Theme Song
It is time for the home stretch (Gray shows her badge case with eight badges)
For it is the final catch (Magna appears, smiles, and fades, which is repeated by Fidens, Leviculus, Decorus, Fortis, and Durus)
Your goal's right there, it is your fate (Owen and Red stare down at the championship battle of the Indigo League)
Go ahead and become great! (Fortis evolves into Flygon and roars into the air)
No way! (2x) We won't back down! (Durus lunges at the camera and slashes it)
We will! (2x) Win that crown (Montage of Gray defeating Trentavious, Savannah, and Marcus before she looks across a battlefield and sees Owen)
This is it, the final quest (Gray looks off into the sunset with Chase, Tara, and their Pokemon)
You must do your very best... Pokemon!
Well, Leviculus is the lowest leveled now, which is really weird to think about. Don't worry, he and Durus will get a lot more attention this arc, and that will carry over into the next. Getting back to last chapter, Gray defeated Erika while using Magna, Decorus, and Fidens, who evolved and overcame Defeatist! This chapter will be about the group trying to get past a biker gang, which will require a triple battle, which is going to be underwhelming only because there's going to be an awesome battle next chapter, and I'll post that later today because I feel bad about this chapter. Now, let's get going!
Trentavious Phoenix: Yeah, Gray's kind of an idiot, but she'll start to improve a lot during these next few arcs. And I like that you brought up how strong her Pokemon were (stat-wise), because it really does show how inexperienced she is when it comes to training, which is what I've been looking to do for quite a while
Defender31415: That it did, and Fidens evolving was probably the luckiest thing Gray has had happen to her. Don't worry, she'll step up her game soon enough, and she'll start to become a lot more mature in the near future, which will help her become a way better trainer
MCMXCV: Lol, I always copy and paste the intros from other chapters, and I copied that from Owen's Kalos League battles, so that's why I had Pallet Town typed instead of Saffron City. And thanks for the compliment! Decorus may have been set up to be the fall-man in this battle, but she'll be a lot more successful from here on out, and I'm glad you liked Gray's Pokemon supporting each other. The Fuchsia Gym Battle has a similar vibe with Gray's non battling Pokemon cheering on their teammates, and I never thought of Gray's team as being mature (and the rest of what you said) until I read the review, haha
ShadowDragon9000: I know I've heard that reference from somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it... Anyways, Fidens has officially overcome Defeatist, and that will be the end of that. The team will also get a lot stronger next chapter
AdorableNotes (guest): It's Magna, and those could be interesting, though one of them (Togekiss) would cause type redundancy, and I don't want that to happen to Gray's team. Riolu won't be picked because it's so overused, but there will be a Sinnoh Pokemon joining the cast pretty soon!
guest: It's not so much that I wanted to keep it in order, it was more of me needing Gray to go to Fuchsia before Saffron because of the Saffron City Tournament, and the fact that if she had gone to Saffron first, it would've been a way shorter trip to Fuchsia, and there would've been less to write about. The idea of Grassy Terrain lasting a certain amount of minutes is really good and I'll start using that, but this also isn't completely based on the anime, though it does sway more towards that side

"So all we have to do is go all the way down this road, and we'll basically be in Fuchsia City," Chase announced, much to Gray's satisfaction. "It says here that the Gym Leader specialized in poison types, so that should be a pretty tricky matchup."
"Not really, at least if you think about the types Gray has. Fidens, Magna, and Fortis would all be pretty good against that, and it's not like Durus and Leviculus are weak to poison types, either. The only one with a clearcut disadvantage is Decorus," Tara countered, making Chase look like an idiot.
"Tara's right. Durus is definitely going to battle, considering her last Gym Battle was Cerulean City, so I think she'll take that spot. And Magna's been doing really well, so I guess she'll battle too," Gray informed her friends. Durus cheered at the announcement, but decided to not make a big deal of it because she was supposed to battle in Vermilion, which didn't happen.
"All I know is I'm going to destroy any of those stupid poison bags if they try to cover me in gunk," the Persian said aloud, making the three teens laugh while Scyther and Audino chuckled together. "Fortis should definitely battle, though. He has the type advantage, and he's probably the strongest, aside from me," Durus continued, thinking she was arguably the strongest of Gray's Pokemon.
"Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have to make my mind up for a while, and I plan on keeping it that way." Durus stepped away from Gray, not wanting to suggest anything else as her trainer tended to get a bit defensive. "But you are right. Fortis has gotten really strong in such a short amount of time, it's ridiculous."
"Agreed. I never would've guessed he'd be as strong as he is today. Thinking about it, it's kind of hard to imagine any of your Pokemon being as strong as they are now, I mean... if I think about when I met each of them. They all seemed so..."
"Innocent?" Audino asked, which made Chase nod.
"I guess that's the word. Or maybe young?" Tara and Gray shrugged in response before looking in the direction of an obnoxious sound. "What the heck is that?" Chase asked as the sound of a muffler filled the air. As the teens continued to walk along the road, which had the ocean to its left, or the group's right. After a few seconds, a group of black figures could be seen moving around in the distance, and they moved towards the trainers.
"It sounds like a bunch of farts!" Scyther yelled as he covered his ears. The trainers laughed at the comment before seeing several bikers riding along the road without care for their surroundings. The bikers then drove over to the kids, and they began to circle them. Durus hissed intimidatingly in response, and Scyther prepared his blades. Audino, meanwhile, had clung to Chase's leg nervously. Suddenly, the bikers stopped driving, and the biggest of the group hopped off his motorcycle. He was jacked, bald, and wore a jean jacket, which looked really old.
"What're you all doing on our turf?" he interrogated, making Chase and Audino flinch while Gray remained quiet. Tara, however, stepped towards the man without fear and cracked her knuckles.
"Who says this is your turf, tough guy?" she shot back. The rest of the bikers looked around before staring at their leader, who glared at Tara. "I don't see any signs that say this place belongs to you. So, if you don't mind, we'll be on our way." The blonde attempted to walk past the huge man, but he pushed her back towards Gray and Chase.
"If you want to go anywhere, you'll have to beat us in a battle, and there's no way that's happening."
"Okay, I'll take you on," Gray said confidently as she stepped in front of Tara and grabbed a Pokeball of her belt. The man looked around at his group members and they all began laughing, which confused Gray and Durus. "What's so funny?"
"If we're going to battle, we're doing it our way. Since there are three of you, we'll do a triple battle," the leader said to Gray with a smirk. "Everyone can only use one Pokemon, and we'll let you through if you can beat us. If we win, you can't come back here... ever."
"You're on!" Tara answered energetically. With that, the bikers rode away from the three teens, and the leader began to walk towards them with two other men that looked just a bit smaller than him. Each of them then released a Pokemon, and they were, from left to right, a Weezing, Wartortle, and Arbok.
"Guys, let's just get this over with as soon as possible, okay?" Gray suggested. Chase and Tara nodded in agreement before walking forwards with Gray, who stood in the middle and opposed the leader. Durus stayed back, as she knew Gray wanted to send in a different Pokemon, and Scyther and Audino stood in front of Tara and Chase, respectively. "Leviculus, come on out!" Gray yelled while releasing the Politoed from his Pokeball. The water type then squared off with the biker leader's Wartortle, while Scyther opposed Arbok, and Audino faced Weezing.
"We'll have the first move," the leader announced with a cocky grin. "Wartortle, blast 'em away with Bubblebeam!" Wartortle's mouth opened and a flurry of bubbles flew towards the trio of teens' Pokemon, but Gray was quick to react and stop the water type attack.
"Leviculus, use Water Gun to pop all the bubbles and then cover the ground with water!" Leviculus reared his head back and shot a blast of water straight through the bubbles and struck the Wartortle before covering the road with his Water Gun attack. The Politoed then began to slide around on his stomach, grabbing the attention of every biker's Pokemon.
"Scyther, use Night Slash on Wartortle!" Tara commanded. Scyther sprinted forwards while his blades turned black. The bug type then slashed the leader's Pokemon across the chest, knocking Wartortle onto its shell and making it immobile. Chase quickly took the opportunity and grinned before issuing a command to Audino, who had been waiting eagerly.
"Audino, crush Wartortle with Mega Punch!" Audino ran towards Wartortle while her fist was glowing light blue, and she jumped in the air while rearing her arm back. Once she was close enough, Audino punched Wartortle in the stomach, and the water type cried out in pain before his eyes closed, making the leader stare in shock before stomping on the ground like a little kid that didn't get his way.
"Arbok, hit Scyther with Sludge Bomb!" the man on the right yelled.
"Weezing, use Sludge Bomb on Scyther, too!" the man on the left mimicked. Both Arbok and Weezing opened their mouths and shot bullets of sludge at Scyther, who slashed through them effortlessly, making the too men tremble in fear while the three teens regained their turns.
"Leviculus, it's time to finish this up!" Gray yelled to the water type, who was sliding around. Leviculus nodded at the statement and zipped over to Weezing, anticipating what his trainer was going to command. "Use Mega Kick and kick Weezing into Arbok!" Leviculus' foot began to glow light blue just like Audino's fist had, and he kicked Weezing in the side of his big head, sending the poison type spiraling into Arbok, knocking both Pokemon over.
"Now use Slash, Scyther!"
"And you use Mega Punch, Audino!" Chase yelled right after Tara. Scyther and Audino ran towards the downed pair of poison types while preparing to land their attacks, and they leaped in the air. Both Pokemon performed their commands and landed devastating blows, sending both Pokemon into the downed Wartortle, which made them look like a pile.
"There. Now can we go?" Gray asked while withdrawing Leviculus. The three men nodded while kneeling next to their Pokemon, and Gray began walking away with Chase and Tara. The wall of bikers quickly moved out of the way for the teenagers, and they continued their trek towards Fuchsia City as if nothing had happened.
Wow, that was horrible! I will make it up to you all, however, as next chapter will be a rival battle! It's going to have a pretty awesome ending to it, so I hope that can make up for this heap of trash. Expect another update either tonight or some time tomorrow. Till next time, peace out.
Next Chapter: "Round Two: Flygon vs Garchomp!": After arriving in Fuchsia City, Gray attempts to challenge the Gym Leader. On her way, she runs into Marcus, who is also searching for the leader. The two then decide to battle, with the winner being allowed to challenge the Gym Leader first. Will Gray be able to claim victory?
