Day 10

Lavi then left me alone with Kanda after telling me to get cleaned up and prepare for what Komui has to do fix up Allen. This wasn't the best situation to be in with someone who could slice my neck open or pin me down and make sure I didn't leave so I had to choose my words carefully.

"You're really going to see that Beansprout?" He said, with a bit of complain in his voice next to his original bluntness and grouchiness.

"Yes, he could die Kanda," I turned to face him. "We'll talk about what happened after Allen is out in the clear." I called as I turned my arms back to normal and headed for the door.

"Don't do anything stupid." He called after me, stopping me in my tracks halfway through the door. I didn't look at him over my shoulder but just tipped my head to the side. "I won't."

Rushing down the halls in a jog, I still can't get the thought of Kanda liking me in that way. I just thought we would be friends who would always tease and aggravate each other, but is this blooming into something more? I mean, I don't hate him, though his attitude could lighten up from time to time and he doesn't beat down on me like he does to Allen or Lavi on a normal basis. But, did he plan for the whole kissing scene to go down like it did or was it a mere accident on both of our parts and he just went with it? No, he would've stopped himself and made a rude comment if it were someone else like Lenalee and I remember that time were he was actually worried about me when I saved him at the pyramids. He also returned the favor by dragging my butt into shelter but isn't that a given? But this is me we're talking about and he made no move whatsoever to stop himself or me. Damn, I don't need to think about this crap, I need to get to Allen before it's too late!

Rounding a corner, I ram into Lenalee who is sobbing into her hands and when she removed them, her eyes were bloodshot and her cheeks were the same shade. She then wrapped her arms around my torso and cried onto me and I just stood there, shocked when I saw the bloody site in front of me.

Allen laid on a stretcher which was soaked with crimson blood, his Exorcist coat in tatters as two of the Black Order's doctors and Komui gently pried it off. Allen was emotionless, of course, because he was unconscious but I could sense he was in unbelievable pain from the huge gash in his leg and his damaged Anti-Akuma weapon. Komui looked up and gave me a grave expression as he nodded at the doctors and they took him away into a room which was labeled surgery. He walked up to me and Lenalee detached herself from me, still sniveling as Komui started to explain how horrible and dire the situation was. I was too shocked to resister what he was saying until I blinked hard and curled my hands into fists.

"-And we had to send Lavi to retrieve Allen when the last Finder called in. Allen has a large leg wound and has lost a lot of blood, particularly why we called you down to donate Parasitic blood. We really have luck on our side since Allen has-"

"Who did it?"

"Pardon?" He asked as he fidgeted with his gloves, most likely he was desperate to oversee the operation on Allen and I was just holding up his time, but I needed answers.

"Who did this?" I questioned again, gesturing to all the blood of the floor, the tears spilling from Lenalee's eyes, and the worried glances Finders and Exorcists occasionally gave. Komui took a deep breath, fixed his glasses and gave me a serious look.

"Lavi is now asking the remaining Finder about what happened and who did it. But now we need to worry about hooking you up and getting that blood out of you."

"But-"

"No buts now go follow that nurse and get at least two bags full!" Komui said as he turned me around and shoved me towards a woman in gray scrubs as he hurried off towards Allen's room and Lenalee disappeared around the corner, probably going back to her room. The nurse quickly got me situated and hooked me up to a plastic bag with a needle above my elbow because my skin was unbreakable below that (I have three bend needles to prove that theory from when the nurse tried to hook me up.) and the crimson liquid slowly started to leak from the needle, to the tube, into the bag. She left with a slight bow of her head and I was left to cope with everything on my mind in that small room that smelled of antibiotics. An inner war on love and hate going on in my head; Kanda and Allen, Akuma and Noah, it's all so freaking hard!

"Sasha, can I come in?" A voice, Lavi's, called as lazy knocking ringed through the door. I give him access and he creaks open the door before lightly closing it, a straight look on his face. He pulled up a chair next to my bed and sat down with a sigh.

"We need to talk."

"Damn right we do." I responded as Lavi chuckled and turned to look at me, a small smile touching his lips.

"The thing that attacked Allen and his group, was a Noah," My eyes bulged out of my head and I leaned forward in anticipation. "And it's the Noah you said you saw a couple days ago in the forest."

"That can't be. I thought..." I trailed off, not wanting to explain my reasoning and make Lavi curious about my past. I just thought that the Noah, Travan, wanted to hurt or kill me, not my friends or anyone at the Order. But then again, all Exorcists and Noahs were enemies but this was just between me and Travan, unless he's trying to get to me by threatening me with everyone else's lives. Lavi's nodding head brought me back to reality.

"Allen and his two Finders were on their way back from their mission and a Noah showed up and made illusions to trick one Finder into running off a cliff and died. The remaining Finder said he was being chased by a flock of hawks and the way he described it, his illusions could actually hurt the person who is seeing them. He came back to the Black Order with claw marks over his arms and face."

"So that means Allen must have been facing something ten times more dangerous and harder than the Finders. That bastard probably sat back and laughed his damn ass off, he's dead when I get my hands on him."

"Yeah, it was hard to believe because we haven't seen The Clan of Noah much before the one in the forest but I'm guessing they have a huge plan up their sleeves." Lavi said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Anyway, let's get off this topic before the blood bag boils and Allen gets high blood pressure."

"Yeah sure, let's just transfer this conversation to the weather why don't we?" I say sarcastically as the nurse came in and replaced the full blood bag with an empty one and left a pitcher of water on the nightstand. She left with a soft thud of the door and Lavi's calm face bustled with laughter. I raised my eyebrows and poured myself a cup of water and sipped a little because I was feeling a little lightheaded.

"Forget the weather! You and Kanda are my new headlines!" He half yelled and burst with laughter, pounding the bed with his fist. I choked on my water and I felt my cheeks heat up a bit as I glared at Lavi.

"How many people know?" I hissed out.

"Oh, just me, for now."

"Don't you dare!"

"But you two make such a cute couple! You two complete each other!" He said as he made a kissing face and stifled his cries of laughter. I punched his arm and put the cup of water down. I didn't know Lavi saw that much of the scene I had earlier. God, this is going to be so much harder than I though it would be.

"Says the person who thinks every girl is "His Type", what makes you a love expert?" I finished and quickly added, "Not that I'm in love or anything."

"Sure you aren't Sasha. You totally tried your hardest to escape that position Yu had you in."

"Yu?"

"That's Kanda's first name, that's what dates are for: getting to know each other better. Not diving into mortal combat and make out at the end!" Lavi choked out, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye. I glared but then sighed as I pulled my hand through my hair in frustration.

"Lavi, I'm not meant to love. What the hell is having a boyfriend going to improve in the Black Order? It's going to make it harder to see each other and if the enemy finds out, Kanda or me is going to be their prime target to get the other pissed off and to get themselves killed. No boyfriends; no love. It's as simple and final as that." I say with a huff as Lavi ponders what I just said.

"Most of what you said is true but you can't help but try." He cheered as he stood up and stretched.

"Where are you going?"

"Well Reever said that once Allen is recovering, he'll distribute missions to every available Exorcist so the Earl thinks that we aren't down for the count. I need to go check it out and you should go and get some rest. Your blood bag is almost full too." He added as he walked over to the door and opened it. "I'll catch you later!"

"I'll get you later." I mumbled out as I sat up, still a little lightheaded as the nurse filed in and took the last blood bag. I got out of that small room and headed towards the mess hall to grab myself a bite of white rice and pork chops. After about ten minutes of chatting with some Finders and Jerry, I head back out to go into my room, or that's what I planned to do. Kanda was leaning against his doorway with a scowl, slightly hidden from most people heading down the hall but I noticed, and so did he.

"What are you-" I started as I stopped with my arms crossed but he suddenly grabbed my wrist, not painfully but with some force, and pulled me into his breezy room and shut his door.

"We need to talk."
