Day 11

Once the door creaked shut, there was total silence, and neither of us spoke. We were facing each other, probably a foot apart and we just stared each other down, Kanda's eyes weren't menacing but there was something in those dark orbs that was searching for something. After what seemed like forever, I took a small breath, blinked hard and opened my mouth to speak.

"What happened today-"

"Don't talk." He responded quickly, his gaze boring into my skull.

"Don't change the topic Kanda! God, why do you have to be so-" I started, already getting aggravated at his... His stupid attitude! Why did I ever think this jerk would love me?

"You Baka, I hate the way I love you." He trailed off as he swiftly grabbed my wrist and pulled at my waist, making us inches apart. He then roughly crashed his lips into mine, his lips molded into mine and was fierce yet passionate. I could feel all my anger melt off me, I just couldn't help but get butterflies in my stomach and feel my heartbeat race. I shouldn't be doing this... but, I'm only human.

"K-Kanda..." I trail off once our lips part, Kanda's warm breath was caressing my neck. I snake my arms around his neck and he slowly brings his lips down on mine again but more fiercely. God, who knew that he was such a good kisser for someone who probably never had a girlfriend before. He puts his hand at the back of my neck and pushes me in more, I slightly lose my balance and we plop onto Kanda's bed.

He was now straddling me, still kissing me with no intentions of breaking connection. By now, all my doubts about us- about him liking me- have disappeared and was replaced by desire and passion. I was totally out of reality, and it sucked when the both of us froze up when there was the sound of knocking at the door.

"Hide under the bed." He whispered as he stumbled off of me as I sat up.

"What-"

"Just do it!" I didn't object as I hopped off the bed and ducked under the bed. I just didn't know why I couldn't hide in the bathroom or somewhere a little less cramped. But I still shuffled into a corner and waited for whoever was at his door to leave, there were cobwebs and spiders which I didn't mind, it's the cockroaches that rub me the wrong way. Then I hear Kanda open the door and the small voice of Lenalee answered Kanda's grunt greeting.

"Hi Kanda, you still haven't come down to get your mission yet. Reever sent me to get you." Crap, I forgot about that too, I wonder how long it's been. "Have you seen Sasha? She wasn't in her room and she needs to get her mission too."

Damn, what's Kanda going to say? Hopefully Lavi hasn't spilled the beans about us to Lenalee yet.

"Che, I haven't seen that Dragon Lady around. She's probably stuffing her face in the mess hall." I huffed at his response, I don't eat like a pig, not like Allen. Suddenly I feel something crawl up my arm and some skittering noises under the bed. I glance down and spot a huge cockroach twitching on my arm.

"Okay, you better get down to Reever and tell Sasha the sa-"

"Holy Crap!" I couldn't hold in my cry any longer because there's not much one can do under a short bed without being noticed when something scares them.

"... I got a cramp... In my leg." I heard Kanda try to make a sentence out of my outburst while I scratched the bug off my arm and flicked it away along with the others. I pray they don't come back.

"Okay... Don't strain yourself then. Try and find Sasha too, I'm going to look in the training center." I hear Lenalee say before I hear footsteps and the door shut. Once I heard that click, I shot out from under the bed and patted my body down, trying to swipe away any cockroaches that may have crawled on me. Kanda walked over to me, an unimpressed look on his face as I finished dusting myself.

"There was this huge cockroach and I don't like them. You can't blame me for freaking out." I explained as he crossed his arms.

"An Exorcist isn't supposed to be afraid of anything, yet you're afraid of bugs." He scowled as he raised an eyebrow. I sigh and lean over and give him a quick peck on the cheek which gave him a light blush.

"Have I ever told you that I'm into tough guys like you?" I said as I watched a cute, agitated look make it's way across his face. I exited his room and made my way to the ever so cluttered office that Komui calls his own. Two Finders exit as I enter so I guess they are still giving out the missions, hopefully I don't get one that involves trudging through boiling sand storms.

"Ah Sasha there you are, I was just about to ask Lenalee if she's seen you but never mind that." He got up from his chair and pushed me next to a lean man in a tan trench coat while handing me a couple sheets of paper. "Here's your mission description and you got roughly about a half an hour to get ready before you leave so make it last!" Komui called as he shoved the two of us out of his office door as Reever came by with a huge stack of paper in his hands.

Now that I take a closer look at the Finder, he has a very chiseled face with white bandages wrapped around his right eye and a couple of small, sunken in scars around his facial features. He is probably around thirty or so and looked pretty experienced in this line of work. We start walking without a word to my room so I can change into my Exorcist coat and combat material and I glance at the mission sheets. We're headed to a town called Caston, a small place where travelers stop to rest of a night or two, rarely people stay longer but apparently the people who stopped for a night there went missing the next day. Most likely a Level Two Akuma doing the killing.

"So you're the amazing Sasha Wright I've been hearing so much about huh?" The Finder boomed out with a hefty voice. "The name's Vincent."

"Uh, yeah. Nice to meet you too, Vincent." I replied as he slapped me on the back and laughed halfheartedly.

"Well let me tell you Sasha, I've been here for about seven years and I've never seen someone like you! You're a special one I can tell. So let me tell you about a time where I took down a herd of Akuma alongside my best buddies Lavi and Allen! Well let me tell you, it didn't look pretty at first but-"

Dear God, this will be a very, very long trip to Caston...

Sorry for not updating in a while. School is starting in 6 flipping days so I you will probably expect slower updates on all my stories so I'm sorry for that. High School is gonna be a handful but I hope it's gonna be a fun experience! Drop a review and peace to the Vultures!
