High School is a pain in the ass...
I don't own DGM, JUST MY OCS AND THIS STORY!
Day 13
"Your what?!" Vincent said as he flinched back a little and looked at me with wide eyes. There was no way of avoiding it, Travan is my brother, but it's not possible! But at this rate, anything could happen.
"He's my older brother." I said again as I clutched the dirt under me. My brother's name was Travis, but I assume he changed his name and hid his scar so I wouldn't recognize him at first. But why? Vincent had a hard look on his face as he suddenly jerked the portable radio off his back.
"We need to get back to base now!" He called as fumbled with the controls. I didn't know where we go from here so I assume that's a good idea, we need to tell Komui all the information we now know about Travan. Toku was standing near me, a confused and scared look plastering his face, I don't blame him. He looked at me and opened his mouth to speak.
"Sasha, I'm scared. What if he tries to hurt me. What about you?" Tears brimmed his eyes as his lip quivered.
"I won't let that happen, ever." I replied as I finally stood, then he ran up to me and squeezed my waist. He was genuinely scared, it makes sense because he lost his father today and almost lost me.
"Sasha, I have Komui on the other line now, he wants to talk to you!" Vincent called as he held the earpiece in his hand and knelt next to the large box, I guess I have to break the news to Komui. I take the metal phone piece out of Vincent's hand and rested on one knee near the device.
"Hello, Komui?" I said as I listen for any frantic noises on the other line.
"Sasha? Thank goodness your safe but what do I hear about this new Noah Travan?" His voice rang out with worry.
"Travan is... my older brother who died in a fire when I was little. I don't know how but he was somehow brought back to life with a new name and look to replace the old, which was Travis. But I think that something very big is being planned among these Noahs." I said. It took Komui a moment to reply but he was serious.
"Sasha, do you believe that Travis- or whatever he wants to be called- has any grudge against you or had any angry tendencies?"
"No, none that I can- wait!" I realized something that Travan had said a while back when I first met him. "I think... I think that he might hate me because I didn't put out a bonfire."
"Why was the fire significant? What happened back then?"
"That fire consumed our home. Travis saved me but went back inside to save my crippled mother, but he died in the fire along with my mother." It hurt to remember those memories but we both knew that it was crucial to know the theories.
"I see... Well I think that the best option right now is to continue on and find more shards of the Innocence. So for the night I need you and Vincent to rest at the Inns and-"
"Wait, a ten year old boy is a holder of Innocence and his father was murdered by the Akuma! I can't just leave him here!" I called as I felt slightly panicked for the safety of Toku.
"Okay, that's a good thing that we have someone else to fight for us, but then again he is a very young boy. What's his name?"
"Toku Shicanto."
"Well we will send out two Finders to come and pick up Toku and take him to-"
"No!" Toku screamed as he snatched the pone out of my hand started to yell at Komui.
"I'm staying with Sasha and Vincent no matter what! I don't want to leave them and I c-can't let them die!" He choked out as the line stayed silent on the other end until Komui sighed.
"Okay okay Toku, you can stay with those two as long you promise to keep them safe. Deal?" Komui said in an understanding tone. Toku replied with a yes and nodded vigorously. I took back the phone and listened to the plan until Komui had another person to talk to. I hung up the earpiece and Vincent took back his backpack and strapped it on.
"Where are we going Sasha?" Vincent said as he huddled up to me and Toku. I looked to both of them with a determined face.
"We're going to rest up here and in the morning we're going to head out to the next town to collect four different pieces of Innocence!" I said as Toku grinned with anticipation and Vincent whistled in awe.
"Damn, four pieces? This is gonna be one heck of a ride, huh?" Vincent commented as he rubbed the back of his neck. I nodded as I ruffled Toku's hair and slapped Vincent on the back.
"Yep, then we're going to meet up with another Exorcist and their Finder in that same town so we won't be traveling alone." I said as Toku lead the way to the Inns.
"Any idea who it might be?" Vincent asked.
"Whoever it is, they won't be as cool as Sasha and Vincent!" Toku called with his bow raised in the air in excitement.
"I'm not positive but Komui will contact the nearby Exorcists and see who will be available. So until then, let's just get a lot of sleep and get ready for the journey!" I called and we walked to the simple homes under the steady moon, Toku smiling and Vincent smirking all the way. Me, I was pretty damn confident that this will be a damn cool team.
