Wilhelm opens the car door for Gertrude and she slides in with Wilhelm following her. "I didn't say in front of Schultz, but you look beautiful."
Gertrude leans her head on Wilhelm's shoulder. "Danke, Wilhelm. That is so sweet of you to say. It is so good to be back with you. I missed you so much." Gertrude sounds tired.
Wilhelm puts his arm around Gertrude's shoulders and lets her rest against him. He loves being able to support her and love her. The weight in the car shifts as Schultz puts Gertrude's trunk in the car. "How are you, liebchin?" Wilhelm asks softly.
"I'm alright, Wilhelm. Albert said to say hello. Lotte is a bit upset with me still for saying yes to you so quickly. She's a bit upset that I am coming back here so soon. I think she's feeling left out. I told her to give us a couple of days to ourselves and then come and join us. I think we need some family time the three of us." Gertrude tells Wilhelm.
"I think that's a brilliant idea. I want Lotte to feel as if she's part of this with us. I don't want her to feel left out of anything." Wilhelm smiles at Gertrude.
