~Reasons~

He could think of 9 good reasons they shouldn't marry. 10 if he thought hard enough. None of them were enough to stop the wedding though, rather to his amazed amusement. Humans were a mystery, but in no other realm as much as romance. There was something almost Zen in the way these two balanced each other. Yin and yang. Light and dark. Foolishness and intelligence. Femininity and raging testosterone. He watched quietly from his seat at the kitchen table, waiting for her to retrieve the specialty tea he'd stopped by to pick up. Another discussion about a minor aspect of the wedding was going south. He saw her green eyes widen ever so slightly in response to a suggestion. Her fiancé kept right on talking, typically oblivious to the danger. Her eyebrow disappeared under her bangs and he cleared his throat to say something, to intervene before things got worse, but he thought better of it. The two of them seemed content enough in their relationship. As much as the man got on his nerves, he admired his almost-suicidal tenacity in protecting her. His sister had chosen well. He just hoped she wouldn't kill her choice before the wedding.

A/N: The prompt was "9 good reasons".
