Epilogue

One Month Later

Amy Rose sat on the cliff's edge, looking at the crashing waves below. She loved listening to the sound, it almost made her sleepy. Her quills being gently blown to one side by the small summer breeze. But, she wasn't there by herself. Sitting with his back against the trunk of a tree, eyes closed, was her boyfriend, Shadow the Hedgehog. Yes, he's officially her boyfriend! He asked her properly just last week, stammering like an idiot, but it was still cute. They were happy…enough. They had their fights, and arguments; Amy would always throw the first punch, and as hard as he tries, he ends up hitting her back, she gets hurt, and he apologizes; but Amy started it. If he was willing to deal with her pigheadedness, then he saw no reason in doing away with her. But he thought about it…

Other than that, everything was fine. After Tails had gotten Rosy and Scourge back together, the two came around more often to 'become friends', but Amy still had her suspicions when it came to her insane anti. Scourge was a lot nicer and less…murderous and the group he was in eventually were thrown in jail after pulling a stupid stunt of robbing a bank in broad daylight. Turns out, Scourge wasn't the one to pull them together; he just somehow got top spot with them. Rosy then beat him for causing so much trouble…and trying to replace her with Amy.

Other than that, life was normal again. Everyone got that special someone, even Sonic, who found a nice girl to settle with who they have yet to meet. Blaze finally came out and told Silver how she felt, the silver hedgehog was so happy he passed out. Literally! Tails and Cream…well, they didn't really hide their relationship in the front place. Rouge moved to Angel Island to be with Knuckles, but kept her house in Station Square. So, yeah…everything was normal again…

"I still can't believe you thought replacing me with Amy was going to help you!" Rosy exclaimed.

"I thought you were done with that already…" Scourge groaned.

"Well, I would be if you'd stop acting like it's not a big deal."

"It's not!"

"Yes it is!"

"Why is it, then?"

"Because you know I'm way better than that imposter who calls herself my anti. For you to think she'd help 'the void' go away, ugh! I hate you!" Rosy brought out her mallet and aimed at the green hedgehog.

"Rosy, leave me alone! That's the third time this month!"

"I don't care!" she swung at him and he dodged just in time.

"Let's just talk it out!" Scourge exclaimed.

"I don't want to! You're not my therapist!" Rosy swung again, missing him by a quill.

"ROSY!"

"Silver, how many times do I have to tell you, I am fine! The doctor said I can use my arm again already."

"But, you might mess it up again if you move it the wrong way!"

"My therapist said I should do exercises to help gain mobility in it again. I have to do this." Blaze turned away and tried lifting the can again, but Silver grabbed it.

"No, I won't let you hurt yourself." Silver stated, running away with the can. Blaze growled and went to chase him, but stopped herself. Why would she? There were more cans in the cabinet. Going into the kitchen, she open the cabinet above the stove, but frowned soon after. The cans were gone.

"That stupidly clever hedgehog…" she growled to herself. She checked all the others and found the same result. Then she heard laughing from the door, seeing Silver holding the same can from before.

"I'm not that stupid you know," Silver smirked. When fire engulfed her hands, his face faltered, "Let's not do anything crazy, Blaze…"

"Give me the can!"

"No!" Blaze ran after the hedgehog as he maneuvered around the furniture in order to avoid her clutches. Being on one side of the couch, her on the other, and no other door besides the front; he was trapped.

"Give it!" Blaze commanded again.

"I will not!" Silver retorted. He activated his powers and held her in place, making his escape. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get out of his hold and the silver hedgehog had left the house already.

"SILVER!"

"Rouge, go away." The ivory bat kept poking at him as he tried to read his book. Knuckles was starting to get irritated with her behavior, she was acting like Amy…

"Just play with me for a minute!" she exclaimed.

"I'm busy."

"That book will be there later."

"I want to read it now."

"Please!" the ivory bat pleaded. Knuckles went to push Rouge away from him, but the bat flew above his head before he could touch her. Without a moment's hesitation, she snatched the book from his hand and flew ahead of him.

"Rouge, if you don't give me that book right now…!" Knuckles warned. The bat simply laughed.

"Come get it…" Rouge teased from the sky. She stuck her tongue out and wiggled her butt in his face before flying off. The echidna sighed before giving in and going after her. This is what it was like to have her as his girlfriend…well, now it was since she moved to Angel Island…

"Rouge, where are you?" he called out.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be much of a game, now would it?" he heard her voice from somewhere in the trees. Looking around, he felt a stick hit the top of his head.

"Rouge…" his only response was giggling.

"Rouge. Come out now." More giggling…

"ROUGE!"

Amy carefully weaved the last flower into a crown she made on Shadow's head. Upon doing so, she sat back and admired her work. The ebony hedgehog looked at himself with his phone's camera, nodding with slight satisfaction.

"Pretty good, Rose." he finally said. The pink hedgehog giggled a little.

"Thank you. So, you'll keep it, right?" Amy asked.

"No," she frowned when he said this, but he wasn't finished, "I'll treasure it…" Shadow said. Amy giggled again and hugged him, to which he returned.

"Oh, Shadow! It'll just die in another week. You don't have to just say that."

"I'm not just saying it. I mean it. I treasure every and any moment with you. Even the not-so-happy ones…" he admitted, snaking his arms around her petite waist. Giving him a little peck on the lips, she rested her head against his shoulder.

"You know…you're sweet when you want to be." Amy said. The ebony hedgehog rolled his eyes, kissing her forehead.

"Whatever. It's only for today." For today was their one-month anniversary. And as much as Shadow didn't want to admit it, he enjoyed every day they were together. They still had their own separate homes, and Amy was currently working on getting a job, but the ebony hedgehog has thought of letting her live with him…

"Yeah right! Admit it, you're soft on me!" Amy exclaimed. Shadow held a small smirk as he shook his head.

"I'd never go soft on you. If I did, you'd walk all over me," The pink hedgehog gave a playful mischievous glare, slowly creeping her hand to his left ear, "Amelia Rose, don't you dare!" Shadow growled.

"I'm gonna do it!"

"Amy…!"

"I'm gonna do it!"

"No, stop…"

"I'm doing it…!" Shadow grabbed her arm and pinned her to the forest floor, hovering over her with a glare of his own. She was laughing uncontrollably, the sweet sound being music to his ears.

"You seem to forget, I'm a lot stronger than you."

"You seem to forget, I know a lot more things about you." she said, mocking his tone of voice. He growled at her, and she growled at him back, exchanging glares. Eventually, their gazes softened and Shadow leaned down to kiss her softly. When they parted, he sighed.

"I guess I am soft on you…" he smiled.

"Told you so." Amy teased. She recaptured his lips in a passionate kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck; his going around her waist. These kisses so rare that they relished every moment of it, up until the need for breath. Pulling apart, they gazed into each others eyes.

"I love you, Rose."

"I love you, too, Shadow." Amy looked at his ear again, her mischievous grin came back to her face.

"Amy…"

"I'm not doing anything!" she giggled. He kept his eyes on her, and eventually she pounced on him.

"AMY!"

The end! It's the last chapter…I feel it's a little rushed. But it's basically a look into everyone's relationship now. Except Tails and Cream, I just didn't feel like doing theirs. I do like how I ended each interaction, though…Short, sweet, and simple. That's it.
