Not Alone
Harry was sitting down by the lake on Halloween, he had asked not to be disturbed. He just wanted some time to himself. Ron and Hermione had granted him that much and the promised to come and get him if it was getting too late. Harry just settled underneath a large tree with his photo album on his lap.
He must have been there for a while when a shadow came over him. He turned to tell whoever it was to go away, when he saw Neville standing there, holding his own photo album. Harry shimmied over and Neville gracefully dropped down into the spot next to him.
They must have sat there for ages not saying a word, the only noise being made was from them turning their pages and the occasional tear dropping to the floor. Harry never really understood how people could forget Neville so much. He'd been through so much more than Harry because Harry's parents were killed and it was awful but he'd grown up and managed to mourn them but Neville he had to live with parents who would never know who he was. He could never move on.
As the day got on the boys started to open up to each other, they talked about their childhood. They would talk about the photos which they'd seen hundreds of times and not have a story for because they weren't there, these photos were all before their time and they didn't have anybody who could tell them what the photos meant, what the stories behind them were.
So the two boys would tell them about the made up ideas they had, from the stories they knew about their parents they were able to create an idea in their head and put a story to it. They must have spent the rest of the afternoon talking about it and getting to know each other.
There wasn't many people who they could share their life with but they knew from here on out they had each other. They didn't have to be alone when they needed to talk, they could sit down and talk about their feelings because they shared something and that was all either boy had every wanted. Someone who could understand what they feeling and why when they were having a bad day. Now the two of them weren't alone anymore.
AN: This isn't my best piece of writing by a long shot, but I'm determined to get something written and up everyday so there will be some that's not great but it will be made up for by some good one's when I get great prompts and ideas. So there's that to look forward too.
Also thanks to all the views I've been getting. This is doing a world of good for my self esteem and I've been feeling so positive I've even managed to make a phone call today so that's something special so thank you all.
