A/N: So i know that the beginning of this has some lyrics from the song i used. That's because i wrote this chapter while i listened to this particular song. Yes i know the song is about suicide and this chapter doesn't have anything to deal with suicide but it was the song that created this piece. I like the beat to it so that's what i took from it. So instead of having someone say the title of the song i just posted some lyrics at the beginning. Which are my favorite from the whole song.

A/N 2: Next chapter will have character death along with the return of another character.

Disclaimer: I don't own the song or the Puck and Sam or Glee. I do own everyone else and my mistakes.

I wish that I could fly, way up in the sky

Like a bird so high

Oh I might just try.

The trip through the forest like jungle was a task in itself. So many branches and trees that each person had to use their own machete.

"Why don't we just use one of the trucks to drive through all this shit," grounded out Puck.

Shane scoffed at his ignorance, "Because, son," Puck glared at the man when he said 'Son'. "We have to make sure where the tank is located so we don't run it over, and make sure no zombies are around it. What did you think we would do if there were zombies around the tank? Run them over?"

Puck stopped for a second, making Sam bump into him, "Yeah,"

This made Shane laugh rather loudly. Some of the birds resting in the trees above flew from being frightened at the noise.

"You have a lot to learn son,"

This time Puck growled but felt a hand grip his shoulder, which caused him to look behind him and see Sam smile kindly at him as he shook his head.

"Guys, hush," Alex stopped everyone with her arm out stretched. Everyone stopped moving and listened. The sound of trees rustling from the light breeze, the birds chirping in the distance and…..slight moaning/gurgling. "Hide!" she hissed.

"Where?"

Alex looked around and saw plenty of places to hide in the bushes but the zombies could find them easily that way. Even if they were stupid creatures they had an amazing sense of smell. She continued her search till her eyes landed on some low branches that were big enough and sturdy enough to climb on.

"In the trees,"

Everyone followed the girl, climbing high enough just above the zombies as they walked under them. Alex pulled out her binoculars and raised them to her eyes. She quietly counted the zombies as they came from the back of the forest. "There's at least thirty of them," she whispered.

"Think we can take them?" asked Mack. The older girl looked at the other girl and smirked, oh I think we can," she answered.

The zombies below stopped just under the tree everyone was hiding in. They could smell them but they couldn't see them. Three of them stood there, dumbfounded. The rest of the zombie team slowly walked to the three, grunting as they did so.

"Now!" shouted Alex as she jumped out of the tree and landed on the back of one zombie with two army knives jammed in the dead mans temples. She hopped off and let his body fall to the ground as she quickly grabbed her shot gun from around her shoulders and shot at the other two. Their heads exploding, brains and blood spewing all over the trees and ground.

The rest of the group jumped down just in time for the rest of the nasty buggers to charge at them. Austin and Jake tag teamed. Using only two hand guns each they shot through four zombies and had time to save Shane who opted with using his machete. He was able to chop two heads off but was slowed down when one jumped in his back. Shane managed to fight her off without the dead woman biting his flesh just in time to be saved.

"Thanks boys," he breathed out.

Austin slapped his back, "No problem, gramps,"

Shane didn't have time to snap at the young man because the cries of his leader caught him off guard as she fought off two huge zombies that were twice her size.

Puck and Sam stood side by side and raise their rifles, using their scopes to target their heads and just as one of them leaned into bite Alex's throat, they fired. One bullet caught the zombie on the left though his right eye while the zombie on the left had a bullet go straight between his eyes.

"Fucking awesome!" Exclaimed Puck as he high fived an eager Sam.

After most of the zombies were killed, Shane and Mack ran back to their trucks and started them up. Mack looked over to see Shane looking at her, he gave her a smile and a thumbs up where she returned whole heartedly. They both drove right through the forest, knocking down small trees in their paths but missing the bigger ones.

When they got to their destination, the rest of the team was already there by a huge black water tank. Mack took her truck behind the tank to where the river bed was and got out, letting Austin take over and begin filling the trucks own tank up.

"How are we gonna even get that thing up there?" Jake asked, looking up at the huge tank. Alex looked towards the truck and spotted something she was sure none of the other guys had seen. She hopped up on the bed of the truck and walked towards the back of it where she found an electric wench attached to the back of the truck. She grabbed the rope attached to it and smiled over to where the guys where still walking around the tank, mumbling to themselves.

"Hey boys," she rolled her eyes as she spoke. When they turned to look at her they all blushed at her discovery and their stupidity.

Getting the tank on was easier said then done, all the guys had to lift and push the huge item up on the bed of the truck while Alex and Mack worked the wench. It took longer then they even figured it would and by the time it was secure and ready to go it was already night time.

"We should just camp here, we already killed what zombies were here," Sam suggested. Shane disagreed.

"If we camp here how will we know more wont come?"

"The guy has a point," Puck agreed.

"And a name," muttered Shane. Alex contemplated what she wanted to do, her first thought was to camp there. It would be easier to travel back in the morning. That was till one of the trucks radios came to life and a very frantic Keith began to speak on the other end.

"Alex! Are you there? Hello?"

She rushed to the open the door and grabbed the receiver, clicking the button on the side and answering him. "Keith, what's your status?"

There was no sound on the other end, her heart began to quicken as she waited.

"Keith!"

"Alex, team blue has been ambushed, we had to abandon the mission." He sound like he was out of breath as he spoke. But that wasn't what kept Alex's heart in overdrive, no the fact that Keith's voice held so much sorrow and fear was what did it. Keith was a big guy too, one who rarely got scared. So why?

"Alex," his voice became low now as he panted softly, "Andrea's been bitten,"

Alex's whole world crashed before her. The receiver fell from her trembling hand.
