A/N: Here is another chapter my dear friends. I am on a roll tonight so I figured I'll post this one then write one more and head to bed. I hope you guys are still following this because I am certainly not done with it.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters in this except for Alex, Keith and Ethan. I don't own the song either.
It's been about a good week since the death of Andrea and Santana. Brittany and Quinn got closer after Quinn's near death. It was like they were attached to each others hip but neither girl complained. Alex on the other hand was all about work and missions. She needed something to get her mind off of 'her' so she drowned herself in her work.
She had just walked into the main room where the teams met up, Keith was there as he usually was, staring at the map. A confused and hard look on his face as he scratched at his chin.
"Whatcha got papa bear?" she asked. Alex had been trying her hardest to lighten up, she needed to live on with her life. Brittany was doing it so could she. The man smiled as he looked towards the girl, they hugged each other then he put his serious face back up.
"Our food supply is running low, we don't have to worry about the water after your last trip, we will be fine on that portion for a good few months. We have enough ammo and weapons, vehicles are okay," his voice lowered in a thoughtful tone, staring at the map, "But I'm sure some people will need some kind of supplies. So I had Sam go around and ask everyone what they needed,"
He handed Alex a clipboard with two pieces of paper on it, filled front and back. She gave it a look through then looked up at the older man. "So how many teams you sending?"
"Just two, a page for each team to gather every supply,"
Alex handed back the clipboard with a simple nod.
"When we leaving?"
"Actually," Keith began as he walked over to the computers where Ethan sat typing away, "I need you to go on a mission away from this one,"
"Oh?"
Keith crossed his arms while he stared at the big screen, Alex made her way over to the man with her own eyes on the screen. She watched the map pulled up pulsate with five different red marks all over the city near them. They marked people who were trying to contact survivors or sending out distress signals. Keith tapped Ethan's shoulder who clicked on a red mark about thirty miles from their base.
"A female contacted up over radio less then ten minutes ago in that area, I've been wataching it and the same girl has been trying to contact us for two weeks now," he explained.
"Why didn't we answer it the first time?"
"Because the transmission abruply ended which made me think she was caught so i didn't worry much about it," Keith explained. He turned his head to look at Alex, "Then, not too long ago, about three days ago she tried again. This time Ethan talked to her for five minutes then it cut off once again and then just now she sent out a beacon instead of contacting us. Shes there and she needs help,"
"Do you want me to go alone?"
Keith shook his head, "No, take one other person with you,"
The black duffle bag made loud 'thud' sound as it was tossed on the table. Alex unzipped it and pulled out several weapons. A solid black Armalite Ar-180.
A Benelli M2 Tactical 12 GA.
2 Beretta Model 96 G Semi Auto Pistol in .40 S&W.
A USFA .45 Colt SAA.
And a Springfield Armory, 1911-A1, .45 Auto.
Alex handed over the Armalite to Puck along with the 2 Berett's while she kept the rest of the guns. The vests they wore, stolen from zombiefied soldiers, were what held their ammo.
"So you ready to do this Noah?" she asked. The man was fixing his De Fecto Knife into it's sheath on the side of his vest. Alex placed the Gerber double Serrated Blade in the sheath that was on the lower back of her vest.
"As ready as I'll ever be," he gave a simple chuckle. They both had a Ontario 8325 Spec Plus SP6 Fighting Knife that was placed in it's holster at their hips.
"Then let's hit the road,"
Heading down to the garage, Alex walked up to a few of the cars that were there when she spotted the 1989 dodge charger. The body was black with a long red stripe down the middle of the entire care.
"This is badass!" Puck exclaimed and got into the passanger side. Alex give the man a grin before sliding into the the driver side, both of them shutting their doors at the same time. She turned on the car, letting it roar to life, just as the garage door pulled open. It was dark outside which meant the lights had to come on. She looked to Puck just as he switched on the radio and they both looked at each other.
"Take me down to the paradise city, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty," they sung together, "Oh won't you please take me home!" Their voices carried on out in the night sky after Alex burned rubber and flew out of the building right onto the road.
