Chapter 40
I finally noticed that I was being shaken and I looked up, blank face.
"What?"
"Lacie-san, you just dropped a plate—"
"I'll pay for that."
"—no you won't—started crying and fell to your knees. Are you okay?"
"Haha, Lacie-san, you should probably get that cut disinfected," Take….Yamamoto smiled kindly at me.
Cut? I looked at my hand—oh, I get it. The shards made my finger bleed.
"Tch, I thought you said you wouldn't bother the Tenth, woman," H…Gokudera growled.
I blinked, shaking my head. I stood up. What had happened? I can't remember anything from what they're telling me. I winced at the sudden pain my head. What is going on?
Tsuna left the kitchen, going up stairs and coming back down with a mini-kit. How adorable. All of them pinched in to aid my finger—why the hell were they being so nice to me?
"Because, you remind us of Lacie-chan," Tsuna smiled sadly. Gokudera and Yamamoto were rather stiff when Tsuna said that. I was about to reply with 'I know' when a phone started ringing. Tsuna stood and headed for the phone which was right in front of the kitchen door. "Hello?" He answered. He frowned before turning to me. "It's for you, Lacie-san." I walked over, silently thanking Yamamoto and Gokudera for aiding my finger with such passion. Haha, I can make simple things so dramatic it's hilarious.
I walked over to Tsuna and took the phone, motioning for him to set up the food.
"This is Lacie speaking," I said into the phone.
"Hello there, Madeline-san."
I tensed at the name, narrowing my eyes.
"What do you want?" I snapped at him.
"Just wanted you to come over to my realtors so I could tell you something that you should probably know about," he replied. I could hear him eating his ramen on the other side of the phone. "I honestly think you don't have a choice in the matter."
"I'm busy, I'm a Tsunayoshi's house having dinner."
"Well, after your little dinner, I think you should come here quickly to help your little friend, Akira-kun." I clenched my hands around the phone as I tried to contain my anger.
"Don't hurt him," I whispered. "I'll be there soon, bastard." I slammed the phone down and turned to my sky, storm and rain. "I, uh, have to go. I'm so sorry."
"It's alright, it sounded pretty serious."
"It is…" I narrowed my eyes as I let my murderous aura surround me.
"A-Ah, Lacie-san, please calm down!"
"Tch! Stop disturbing the Tenth!"
"Haha, just ask if you need help, alright?"
I just nod at them before turning to walk away, slipping on my shoes and exiting the house. I bent down and started stretching, it has been a while…ahem. I stood, stretching my arms up, satisfied as I heard a few pops. I crouched again, before shooting up, landing on a roof miles away from Tsuna's house. I ran and jumped from roof to roof as I made my way across to the quite side of town; to Kawahira Realtor's.
I slammed the door to the side(it was after all, a Japanese sliding door),stepping in and shutting it behind me.
"Kawahira! Give Akira back, NOW!" I yelled, storming over to where Kawahira was sitting, sipping on his tea. There, lying tied up and unconscious next to him was Akira, no sign of harm on him.
"Sit, Lacie-san," he gestured to the couch opposite of him. I glared, slowly walking to the couch and sitting. "Now, I am about to tell you something that may ruin you're and Akira-kun's relationship."
"I don't believe you," I scowled.
"Do you remember when we first met, Lacie-chan?" He raised an eyebrow, I returned the gesture by raising my own.
"Yeah, you suddenly appeared in my dream and gave me this damned fucking pacifier."
"No, that is not the first time we met."
"What?" I looked at him with disbelief.
"You don't remember, it was so long ago…" He sighed, looking to me with slight sympathy. I hate it when people look at me like that, pity and sympathy; I don't need it. "I met you right after you died, Lacie-chan. When you first died… When you died as Madeline."
"What do you mean? I don't remember this!" I stood, looking over to Akira as he groaned, eyes fluttering open. His eyes fluttered open, landing on my.
"M-Maddie? Madeline, i-is that you?" He sat up, noticing the rope tying, he looked down. He looked back up, smiling. "I've been looking for you, oh my gosh. Just wait until I tell you who I am, y-you're older though, how did that happen?"
"Akira, what are you talking about?" I asked him, frowning. "How do you know that name? I am not Madeline anymore! Madeline is gone! She…She's dead!"
"Madeline is here! I was told by this guy that she was!" He looked over to Kawahira. "I only came to this world because she's here….she…she's the only one who understood me, and I understood her! Then she died from being ill, everyone liked her, she might not have talked much bu—Did you just say you were Madeline?"
"No! I said I'm not Madeline anymore! She's not part of me anymore, she's just…"
I'm just your conscience now.
"She's just my conscience now."
"Y-you're…Madeline."
"No." I said strictly. "I am not Madeline. I am Lacie Amefurashi, Boss of the Amefurashi Family, twin sister of Fran from Vongola's Varia, and I am from the future." I slapped my hand over my mouth as his eyes widen and mouth agape. Shit.
"L-Lacie?!"
"Well…fuck."
"Lacie-chan, you do realize who this boy is, don't you?"
"Akira?" I frowned, not accepting the concept of Akira being from…that life.
"This is the boy who was the only person you talked to in secret." No. No, no, no! "That's Andrew, your friend from the before-life."
"I…You… How-no-WHY are you here?!" I backed away from Ak—Andrew. I don't want anyone from that life here, they were all…they… I don't want to remember!
"I-I got hit by a car," he stuttered, tears pooling in his eyes. "Then this guy," he nodded his head over to Kawahira(who was watching us intently), "told me he knew where you were and that I could find you, that he could give me a second chance at life."
Second chance at life…
'For a second chance at a life you never got.'
That's what she said too…
"…that doesn't explain why you've come looking for me."
"You expect me to live a life without the person who opened me up with only a drawing?" I flinched, remembering the small memory. Why am I remembering, memories are locked away…
Locked away by Alice, aka, Madeline.
"...is all you wanted to tell me, Kawahira. This has not ruined mine and Akira's relationship, it has only made it stronger."
"Haha...HAHAHAHAHA." I pulled Akira away from Kawahira as he burst into a maniacal laughter. "I suppose I was wrong, then."
I blinked. Kawahira? Wrong? What has the world come to? Oh, right. Me.
"The real reason, is that there is two reasons. One, is that you both have pacifiers in the same color." I snapped my head towards Akira and looked at him sadly. Why did Andrew have to get caught up in all this? "And that your step-sister is in a coma and is coming here."
That's when I felt the blood leave my head and I fell back, letting darkness consume me.
FALL BREAK BABY! HELL YEAH!
So, I know I haven't been putting your reviews up and answering but I've been rushing these last few chapters. My computer has stopped working...okay, it turns on, but nothing on the computer is working. It sucks. So I'm borrowing my mother's laptop. It took me three hours to write this(including disruptions of the typing by my parents and snapchats from my boyfriend).
So I have nothing much to say other than I am sleepy. It's ten at night, I woke up at five in the morning because I went to sleep early the night before. Yeah, lots of shit happened that morning(I almost forgot my ID).
I'm going to play a bit of my Pokemon Rangers(Guardian Signs), snapchat a bit, and go to sleep.
Goodnight everyone. I love you all! KEEP VOTING(It's the same poll but KEEP VOTING)!
Lots of random faces,
