2. Chapter 2: Poochyena

Chapter 2: Versus Poochyena

"I can't find any information on that Kippy pokemon in my pokedex." Brendan shares his concern with Eevee.

Pokedex:"Unknown Pokemon"

Eevee growls at the pokedex.

"Yeah I guess it is broken." He agreed with Eevee. Brendan reaches the front of the neighborhood where he sees a little girl crying for help.

"What's wrong?"

"There are noises out there, but I'm too afraid to go out and see what there are."

So, you need help how?Brendan thought sarcastically. "Sure, we'll go see what the problem is."

He walks into route 101 and finds a somewhat heavy man in a lab coat running from a small gray hyena.

"Help! Help me!" the Professor cried.

Professors, a little puppy, are you serious?

"Hey kid! Can you grab a pokeball in my backpack and save me?!" Birch calls out to Brendan.

Sure why not, I get a free pokemon.Brendan selfishly reacts, he opens the bag and finds 2 pokeballs in it he grabs one.

It feels warm.He throws the ball after picking it up.

"I choose you!"A tiny orange chick, pops out of the ball and dash straight for the Poochyena, using peck.

"Cool he went straight for the assault, Eevee join him." Brendan claimed slightly impressed.

Eevee digs a hole and Torchic fires several small sparks of flames, shooting the dog into Eevee's pit-trap. Brandon reaches for a pokeball on his belt and throws it into the hole Eevee dug. He hears the zapping sound and waits for the confirmation ping. Him and Professor Birch stood in suspense as they wait.

Ping!

"Nice, two pokemon in 5 minutes, that has to be a new record!" Brendan congratulates himself.

"Why didn't you tell me, you already had a pokemon?" Birch asks.

"You offered me a freebie, how could I resist?"

"Well then you won't mind giving him back right?" Birch asked hoping Brendan to be a generous and honest person.

"Sorry but it seems attached to me." Torchic buries its head in Brendan's pant leg.

"But it just met you, how could, oh nevermind." The professor sighs. "Listen, I'll let this go if you promise to meet my daughter, May."

"No way, never again!" Brendan runs off with Eevee and Torhic following behind him. "You couldn't pay me enough money to see her again! Even if you are a friend of my dad!"

"But, she's adorable." Birch replied sadly as Brendan disappears into the woods.
