I Own Nothing

I've finally dug myself out of the hole known as writer's block. SORRY!

Also, if you guys can catch some of the references, I will love you forever.

Approximately three months had passed since the Titans split up with their teachers. It was September first, and as the fourth month of training was about to start, Robin was up for promotion. He walked up the mountain into the large Shaolin dojo lit by torch sconces in each corner. He closed his eyes, faintly seeing Yamcha and Krillin's chi outlines near the back of the room. He stepped onto the mat and fastened his green belt over his weighted, orange uniform with the kanji of both masters on his vest. "I know where you are."

"Good," Yamcha said, leaping onto the mat. "Hit me."

Robin let out a battle cry and a gray, neutral aura spiked around him. He charged with his eyes closed, relying on his ability to sense chi to fight Yamcha. Robin hopped over a kick and returned his own. Yamcha flipped back and landed on the wall, using his chi to keep him stable. Yamcha ran up the wall and to the ceiling, raining chi down on the Titan.

Robin jumped into the air, shakily keeping his balance as he used the chi from his feet as mini-rockets. "Your chi control needs a little work," Yamcha said, bringing his heel down on Robin's head. "Crouching Fang!" he shouted, sending a double palm strike into Robin's forehead.

Robin landed on the mat, feeling the weight of fifty pounds on his blue wristbands and ankle weights. He leaped out of the way of another heel kick and took a punch to the chest. Robin fell on his back and rolled to his feet, letting out another battle cry and whipping a chi blast at his teacher. Yamcha flipped over it and tried another heel strike, but Robin blocked it. He hopped into the air, spinning in a circle and whipping his ankle weights at his teacher.

Yamcha's eyes widened as the blows struck him in the chest, knocking him to the ground. "Intuitive," Yamcha said, climbing to his feet. "Very nice."

Robin bowed with his face toward the ground. Krillin slapped the top of his head. "Keep your eyes on your enemy."

Robin nodded and opened his eyes. "Did I pass?"

Krillin handed him a purple belt. "Yes," he said. "Welcome to the fourth rank."

Robin jumped for joy. "Alright!" he exclaimed. "I've learned the basics, learned chi control, can sense chi signatures, so what's next?"

"The Eight Paths," Yamcha said, his tone very serious.

"What are the Eight Paths?" Robin asked.

"Master Roshi had eight students," Krillin said. "Each had different personalities and attributes, so he taught them all different styles."

"First, there was the Centipede," Yamcha said. "Intelligent and versatile, he could attack from several directions at once. It is a nice blend of defense and offensive posturing; he strikes so fast that he has been described as having one hundred arms or legs. His ultimate technique is the Hundred Witches technique."

"Next, there was the Snake," Krillin said. "He was the most cunning of the seven, using his superior intellect to use his opponent's chi against them and strike when he found an opening. He moved his arms like the head and tail of a snake, and can fight well when pinned to the floor. Snake and Centipede knew each other, but not the other six."

"Then there was the Scorpion," Yamcha said. "A style entirely made up of leg work, one kick alone can paralyze an opponent or even kill. He did not know the other seven."

"After him, there were the Lizard and the Toad," Krillin said. "The Lizard was the fastest and used physics to his benefit. Using his chi, he developed the ability to walk on walls. Toad was a strong man, being to punch through mountains and take bullets to the head without becoming dazed."

"Finally, there were the Dragon, the Turtle, and the best one of them all, the Wolf," Yamcha said.

"Don't flatter yourself," Krillin said.

"I am the Wolf," Yamcha said, "a style focusing on powerful attacks and striking from a number of sides. Krillin is the Turtle, a stupid style-"

"Let me tell him, Yamcha," Krillin interjected, "the Turtle style focuses on a strong defense, and tires the opponent with powerful counters. It is considered the most peaceful style."

"That's why he died twice," Yamcha said.

"Oh, you're one to talk," Krillin said. "Goku, Tien, Jackie Chun, Bandages, Tambourine, Hero, Saibaman, a seven year old Gohan, Dr. Gero, my wife-"

"Okay, okay," Yamcha said, slightly blushing. "Finally, Gohan's dad was the Dragon. The Dragon style focuses on adapting to your opponent's styles in a fight, relentless attacks, invincible defense, lightning speed, the ability to bench-press a planet, being able to take a building to the face; the Dragon style is the most hardcore, badass style that can be learned ever. Goku will screw you the fuck up and you can't do shit about it. Like, the guy tied a mountain around his waist when he was sixteen and walked on his hands to his house, pulling the fucking mountain with it-"

"Yamcha!" Krillin exclaimed. He cleared his throat. "Anyway, you will start with-"

"I want to learn Dragon style!" Robin said, imagining himself eight feet tall and rippling with muscles.

"You will," Krillin said. "In fact, you'll learn a little bit of each style. Trying to master one of the Eight Paths could take years, so we are going to teach you the best attributes of each style."

"You start with the Turtle style, and work your way up to the Dragon style," Yamcha said, "but because of your progress in chi training, we feel like we can teach you a pretty powerful move."

"What move is that?" Robin asked.

Krillin fell into stance and drew his hands to his sides. "Kame..." A small blue ball formed between his hands. "Hame..." The ball grew larger as Krillin's aura spiked. "Ha!" he shouted, firing the blue wave of death through the open doorway and into the sky. He turned back to Robin. "Are you ready?"

Don't look down, Raven told herself. She looked down anyway, swallowing at the dizzying height she was meditating at, with only the unforgiving ice and snow below her. She still felt exposed without her cloak, but her teachers had insisted.

"Let your mind wander," Tien said. "The true way to control your powers is to express your emotions while using chi control."

"If we're only meditating, I could have stayed home," Raven said under her breath.

"You're about three months late," Chiaotzu said. "You already have the potential to learn the Tri Beam and the Dodompa; choosing to leave now would not be in your best interest."

"Chiaotzu, begin the happy treatment," Tien said.

Raven's eyes flew open. "The happy treatment-"

"Keep meditating," Tien said.

Raven squeezed her eyes shut as Chiaotzu placed his fingers on her temples.

Raven's face remained stern, much to Chiaotzu's dismay. "Oh boy," he said. "Mister Tien, get ready."

Raven cracked a smile, and the mountains started shaking.

All of Tien's eyes opened. "What power!"

Raven let out a loud, girly laugh, causing the entire mountain to be covered in black energy. She blushed and held her sides, making a large chunk of the mountain slam into Tien.

Tien caught himself in midair. "Now, Raven! Use your chi control to stop your chi expulsion!"

"How?!" Raven exclaimed, her face blue from laughing.

"Think of the chi passing through your body and your emotions as separate identities!" Tien said, dodging another house-sized rock.

Raven took a deep breath as her laughing slowly died. A pink aura surrounded her as the chunks of mountain slowly started to settle. She started laughing all over again, this time spreading both of her arms out and clenching her fists.

"Good," Tien said, watching the black aura around the rocks fade away. "Congratulations," he continued, "with more practice, you'll be able to laugh."

"Hooray," Raven said, her emotionless self returning. "What's next?"

"The sad treatment," Chiaotzu said.

Tien's third eye widened as the pupil dilated. It turned entirely red, and a set of ten tomoe surrounded a black dot in the middle. "Look into my eye," Tien said.

Raven followed his command and blinked, finding herself back in Titan Tower with her superhero uniform on. The sky outside was blood red and the sun had turned black, as well as all the furniture. "What is this?" Raven said.

Beast Boy appeared from thin air, frowning at her.

"Beast Boy?" Raven said.

"Why are you so mean?" he said in her voice. "Why do you never play with us?" As Beast Boy continued to torment her in her own voice, he split into two, larger forms of himself. "I'm trying to be nice!" he shouted, splitting into two again and busting through the ceiling. "I would do anything for you, and you treat me like this?"

Raven tried to run, but her arms and legs felt like lead. She found herself shrinking and her aura turning gray as more and more Beast Boy's revived past insults, pointed out times she could have been kinder, and made her feel like the worst friend in the world. She fell back and looked up, starting to cry as the Beast Boy's overwhelmed her.

"Let it out," Starfire's voice said inside her head. "Let your emotions move freely; remember, your emotions and physical energy are separate identities. Let go."

Raven dug her face in her hands, her entire body feeling wet from her own personal rain cloud. "Raven," Chiaotzu said. "Look up."

Raven looked up, seeing Tien's third eye in its normal state. She took a deep breath and looked up, seeing the thunderstorm pour rain down on them. "When did it start raining?"

"When you started to lose control," Tien said. "You pulled through near the end and was able to calm the storm when you told yourself to let go."

"How long was I in..." Raven paused. "My head?"

"About an hour," Tien said. "Usually it will feel like minutes."

"How did you do that?" Raven asked.

"I possess the Sharingan," Tien said. "When we return to our camp, I will teach you about it."

"What's the next exercise?" Raven asked, excited yet terrified at the same time.

"Probably the most dangerous one," Tien said. "The rage treatment."

"You don't want to do that!" Raven said, backing away from her teachers. "When I lose my temper-"

"It gets ugly," Chiaotzu said, "we all know that, but in a battle and in life, knowing how to use your anger to your benefit is important."

"I can't let you!" Raven said. "You don't know who my father is! He uses my anger as a gate for demons! Very powerful ones!"

"We have to open the gate if you want to control your power," Tien said, his third eye activating the Sharingan again.

Raven charged two black ball of energy on her hands. "I'm sorry, but I-"

Tien looked her in the eyes, and when Raven blinked again, all three of them found themselves in the planes of her mind. A giant, red demon with four yellow eyes and long, white hair with large goat horns on his head stomped around under the red sky with his hooves. His eyes locked on Raven. "Daughter," he hissed. "You have returned."

"Trigon's your father?" Chiaotzu said.

"Now do you see?" Raven said, her aura turning red. "I cannot control my rage because my father makes up such a large portion of it!"

"Raven," Tien said, spiking his aura. "Get angry."

Raven took a deep breath, a look of deep aggravation on her face. "I will release things into the world if he takes control. It's too risky."

Chiaotzu jabbed Raven's temple, assaulting her mind with a storm of her own inner anguish and hatred.

Raven's eyes split into two and all four turned red. "Do you know what you've done?!" she and Trigon yelled.

"Release your anger onto Trigon," Tien said. "Using your anger for your own benefit will allow you to think clearer in dangerous situations. This training could save the lives of you and your friends."

Raven targeted Tien. "When I am through with him, I will deal with you."

Tien nodded and fazed out, appearing above her father with his hands in a triangle above his head. "Tri Beam!" he shouted, firing a yellow triangle of energy at Trigon's head.

Trigon stumbled back from the power of the blast. "Dodompa!" he exclaimed, piercing Trigon's chest with a yellow chi blast.

"Raven, you need to attack with your anger!" Tien said. "Locking your emotions is locking him inside! You can free yourself from him, Raven!"

Raven snorted. "I'll destroy you all!" she barked, letting her red aura explode. She fazed out, reappearing directly in front of her father with her hands drawn to her side. "Kame..." she said, a small blue ball growing between her hands. "Hame..." The ball grew bigger, making Trigon's eyes widen. "Ha!" she screamed, firing one of the largest energy waves Tien and Chiaotzu had ever seen.

Tien shook from the dark energy radiating from his student. "Mister Tien," Chiaotzu said. "I'm scared."

"Me too, Chiaotzu," Tien said. "I really feel sorry for the guy that tries to break up with her!"

"I don't think he'll be breaking up with her if they hook up," Chiaotzu said. "Before the new girl came along, he was-"

Trigon slapped him to the ground. Tien glared at the demon. "You'll pay for that."

"Stay out of my way, mortal," Trigon said, taking a volley of attacks from an enraged Raven.

"Raven, remember how I told you about that super secret technique used to banish King Piccolo?" Tien said, starting to do a series of strange hand signals. "Be prepared to shield your eyes, because I may have to end up using it."

Raven just grunted and kept assaulting her father.

"Here it goes," Tien said, raising one hand above his head. A small, green orb started to form on his hand. "Can you keep him distracted while I get this ready?"

Raven let out a battle cry, using all of her strength to deliver a powerful kick into Trigon's stomach.

"I'll take that as a yes," Tien said.

Trunks' hands shook as he sterilized and stitched the last incision in Cyborg's face. "It's done," he said, taking a deep breath. "Gero was a bastard," he said, "but I could definitely learn a bit or two about android surgery. If I did, I wouldn't have needed to fix him." He cleaned his scalpel and placed it on a paper napkin. He stumbled backward, falling in a chair he had built hours before specifically for this moment. "I've got about three hours," Trunks said. "Maybe if I fall asleep now..." he trailed off, placing his head on his bloody rubber glove and drifting to sleep in his Saiyan armor and lab coat.

A knock at the door almost immediately after Trunks closed his eyes.

He took off his lab coat, throwing it onto the chair and angrily walking toward the door. He untied his ponytail and shook out his hair. He extended his hand toward his sword, using an invisible force to pull it to his hand. "I swear, if it's that hiker asking for directions for the ninth time, I'm going to-"

"Hello?" a sultry, female voice said on the other side of the door. "Gohan? Open up, please!"

"I'm not Gohan," Trunks said, opening the door. His tongue rolled out and hit the floor. "I'm, um..."

She was tall and curvy like a close relative of hers, flaunted long, flowing black hair and possessed charming, playful, purple eyes. Her skin tone was a perfect tan, although her skin was riddled with various scratches and bruises. She wore purple and black armor designed much like the Saiyan armor Trunks wore, except her armor was much more form fitting. She looked him up and down, already judging him in her head.

"I'm Trunks," he said, quickly clearing his throat and extending his hand. "And you are-"

"Komand'r," she said. "I'm called Blackfire on this planet." She looked over his shoulder, seeing Cyborg hooked up to a dozen of different machines. "You'll have to do; at least you know the Titans," she said. "Why do you have Cyborg here?"

"Why do you want to know?" Trunks said, seeing the broken down space pod at the end of the path before going downhill.

"Why does it matter?" Blackfire said. "I'm a pretty girl, all alone-"

"In armor, coming from a space ship that looks like you tried fighting the Planet Trade Organization by yourself, riddled in small wounds from a crash or fight," Trunks said. "No offense, but that is slightly suspicious."

Blackfire cocked an eyebrow, reevaluating the time traveling teen while tapping her chin. "You're smart," she said. "I like you."

"Thanks," Trunks said, secretly thinking to himself that he was the coolest thing on the planet at that moment.

"I came here because I needed help," Blackfire said. "As much as I hate Cyborg and his friends, they are the only ones who would be able to do it."

Trunks let her inside, offering her his chair. "Please, sit." He walked over to the cabinets above the sink, grabbing two beakers and filling them up with water from Gero's purified sink. "Would you like some water?"

"Yes, please," Blackfire said, taking the beaker and chugging down the water. She took a deep breath and wiped a few beads of sweat off of her forehead. "I apologize for calling you Gohan," she said. "You have the same power level as he does. You're strong for a human."

"May I ask how you know him?" Trunks asked, leaning up against the counter.

"You still haven't answered my question," Blackfire said.

"I'm upgrading him," Trunks said, "using modernized blueprints of a mad scientist."

"Sounds interesting," Blackfire said. "I'm guessing it's for the World Tournament, right?"

"You're in the loop for someone who's from outer space," Trunks said.

"I had no choice," Blackfire said. "The Gordanians launched a massive invasion on Tamaran last month, and I broke from jail to try to put the invasion down. They won, forcing me to fly into space and crash here when I couldn't stop for fuel."

"You were in jail?" Trunks said. "You look too regal."

"I know," Blackfire said, smiling at the first compliment she had received in months, "but my stupid little sister and her friends and Gohan ratted me out for trying to take over the universe. Can't a girl dream?"

"Well, yes," Trunks said, "but don't you think taking over the universe is a bit too extreme? Some people may not enjoy that."

"I dream big," Blackfire said. "Anyway, Trogaar plans on signing up for this little tournament to get his wish granted from the master."

Trunks' eyes widened. "The master? How do you know about The Master?"

"You hear some crazy things when you're in jail," Blackfire said. "The lowlife squabble their lives away over the slightest speck of bread, and that hunger becomes useful in finding information. Trogaar is coming here, and planning on taking over this section of the galaxy once he wins. To be honest, this part of the galaxy is no prize, but the Earthlings will throw a hissy fit, so I thought I would help you guys train for his arrival so we, and we as in me, could defeat him and save Earth."

"What happens when you win the prize?" Trunks said. "Would you try to take over the universe?"

"If at first you don't succeed, try again," Blackfire said. "Right?"

"You'll have to get past me first," Trunks said.

"You can't defeat me," Blackfire said. "The only two people on Earth who can take me on are my sister and her boytoy, Gohan."

"You know nothing about me," Trunks said.

"Then tell me," Blackfire said.

"I was orphaned as a young boy, traveled around the world as my demons continued to chase after me," Trunks said.

"What happened next?" she asked.

"I killed them," Trunks said. "I'm not exactly a weakling."

Blackfire laughed. "I think we'll get along just fine."

Trunks smirked. "Same here."

Cyborg groaned in pain as his hand slowly went toward his face.

Trunks placed his sword on the counter, quickly going to Cyborg's side. "Don't touch it while you're calibrating."

"I know, man," Cyborg looked up, seeing Trunks and Blackfire leaning over the sides of the table. "Trunks, is this on right? I'm think I'm seeing-"

"What's up, Cy?" Blackfire said.

Cyborg weakly raised his blaster and pointed it in Blackfire's face. "Trunks, I'm going to let this one slide because I never told you, but I'm about to blast this girl in the face if she doesn't get up out of our hideout."

"Wow," Blackfire said. "Not even going to say hello?"

"Cyborg," Trunks said. "Put the blaster away. She came here for help."

"I doubt it," Cyborg said. "She's probably here to take over the universe again."

"You have little faith," Blackfire said.

"If you see her armor and her ship, that may change your mind," Trunks said. "If she is lying and tries to hurt you or any of the Titans, I'll personally make her pay."

Blackfire laughed. "With what, that sword?"

Trunks used his telekinesis to pull the sword to his hand again. "Yes."

"My, how violent." Blackfire returned to her chair. "But seriously, if I were here to take over the universe, I would have eliminated you before I signed up."

"Aw, hell no," Cyborg said, slowly sitting up. "You signed up too?"

"Trogaar is going to be here, and my little sister and I, maybe Gohan as well, are the only ones who can beat him." Blackfire smirked. "Trust me, you would rather have me rule than him."

"Why?" Cyborg asked.

"Your deaths would be painless," Blackfire said.

"Yeah, she's serious," Cyborg said. "You know the tournament isn't for another three months, right?"

"I had to leave early because Trogaar has taken over Tamaran," Blackfire said. "Telling the news to Starfire will be quite the joyous occasion; I might record it. Watching that might be the only happy thing coming out of staying with all of you."

"You are not staying with us," Cyborg said. "Trunks, please tell me she's not staying here."

"I know I'm not staying in the hideout," Blackfire said. "Trunks, do you still have a few capsules on you?"

Trunks looked down at the blue letter "c" inside of the circle above corp. She's clever. A bit too clever. He looked back at her, feeling compelled to show mercy as Saiyan testosterone made him want to build the entire house from scratch to impress her. She was hot, and despite Trunks' genius, he was still a teenager trying to impress the girl. Gohan will kill me for this. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small bag of finger-sized capsules in the shape of pills. A small, circular trigger, similar to a dynamite trigger, waited on the top to be pushed. He handed it to her.

"These are smaller than what the Arlians had," she said.

"My grandfather built the prototype, my mom build the hand held models and tried them on Arlia, and I was able to decrease the size while multiplying the size of the items inside by ten," Trunks said.

"Really?" Blackfire said. "What's your IQ?"

"300," Trunks said, making Cyborg's jaw drop. "By age nine, I was a freshman in college." He walked outside. "Follow me," he said, walking down the path and through the forest. They reached a clearing by a river. "You might want to step back." He pushed the trigger and threw the capsule. Both he and Blackfire covered their ears as a loud pop followed by a tremor in the ground threw them back. A fairly-sized, four bedroom house with two floors and an attic grew from the capsule.

"When are you going to get that popping noise fixed?" Blackfire said.

"Wow, you're grateful," Trunks said.

Blackfire rolled her eyes. "Whatever," she said. "I'll go unpack and meet you back in the lab."

Trunks crossed his arms, spiking his aura. "Multi-form!" he exclaimed, splitting in half and forming a clone.

"What's that for?" Blackfire asked. "I don't need babysitting."

"You know what it's for," Trunks said. "From what I've seen of Cyborg, he won't immediately point his cannon in someone's face for nothing."

"If it keeps you sane," Blackfire said. "Maybe I can show you that I'm here to help, until I win, and when I win, Gohan and his friends will be dead."

Trunks nodded. "Very well," he said, opening the door. "Go on in."

"Ooh, what a gentleman," Blackfire said, tapping Trunks' clone on the forehead as he followed her inside.

Trunks ran back to the hideout, dragging the spaceship inside.

"You know she's going to betray us," Cyborg said. "I don't know how, but she will."

"She said that when she won, she would use The Master's wish to take complete control over the universe," Trunks said.

"She's going to make sure that we don't get to the tournament," Cyborg said. "She's going to sabotage us! I just know it!"

"That's why I left a clone to watch her," Trunks said.

"She's as strong as Starfire now," Cyborg said. "If she decided that you weren't going to watch her anymore, there's nothing you could do."

Trunks smirked. "You know what? You're right."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Cyborg said.

"If you're feeling up to it, we need to train." Trunks walked out of the lab.

"DODGE!" Piccolo barked as one of his three clones threw a kick at Beast Boy.

Beast Boy leaned backward, outstretching his arms and flipping back. He morphed into a bear and slashed through a Piccolo clone's shirt. A second clone kicked him in the back, sending him tumbling forward through the mud. Beast Boy morphed into a boa constrictor, standing up on its tail and striking forward. A Piccolo clone gasped in pain as Beast Boy bit him and coiled around him, starting to crush his master's clone.

"DODGE!" the real Piccolo shouted, firing a large wave of yellow energy at his student.

Beast Boy uncoiled around the clone and morphed into a gorilla with the clone in a headlock, allowing him to take the blast.

"Good!" Piccolo said. "Now, finish us off using one move!"

Beast Boy's eyes widened as Piccolo himself started to fight, attacking him from all over with his clones. He tried to concentrate, clenching his teeth through the pain. His eyes widened. "I got it!" His aura spiked. He morphed into a crane and burst into the air, expelling hundreds of chi blasts into the sky with his wings.

Piccolo grinned. "Do it now!"

"Hellzone Grenade!" Beast Boy squawked, swinging his wings down. The balls of chi surrounded the three Piccolo's and closed in, obliterating the clones. Beast Boy flew upward as the dust filled the wastelands. The dust cleared, revealing two clones laying on the ground broken and defeated. His vision shook as an elbow strike slammed the back of his head. He morphed back into a human and fell to the ground, panting in exhaustion.

"Why were you hit?" Piccolo barked.

Beast Boy hopped to his feet, standing perfectly straight in a salute. "I wasted too much time charging up my attack, sir!"

"No!" Piccolo barked, kicking Beast Boy in the stomach. "You lost this match because you listened to your opponent!"

Goku listening to Raditz's lies played through Piccolo's head.

"If you do that on the battlefield, you will die!" Piccolo said.

"But I was listening to my teacher, sir!" Beast Boy shouted.

"When we spar, I am no longer your teacher!" Piccolo said. "When we spar, I am your enemy until there is a winner!"

"Yes, sir!" Beast Boy shouted, feeling the burning in his arms from the training since dawn.

"Now, we go again!" Piccolo said, crossing his arms. "Multi-form!" he shouted, creating three clones again.

"Man! No fair!" Beast Boy said, crossing his arms as well.

"Garfield! Don't-"

"Multi-form!" Beast Boy split into two, one half forming a clone. "Yeah! I did it!"

The clone slumped to the ground as a mass of muscle and skin.

"Or not," Beast Boy said, spiking his green aura and preparing for another round.

Piccolo's eyes widened. His clones fused with Piccolo, reforming the ruthless mentor. "What is that?"

"Not gonna work this time!" Beast Boy said.

"I'm calling a time out," Piccolo said. "Soon, you'll earn to sense chi from other people." He floated into the air. "That blonde girl you-"

"Terra?" Beast Boy said. "She's here?! Let's say hi!" He morphed into an eagle and burst into the air, leaving a small trail of green energy behind him.

"Follow me," Piccolo said, racing through the sky. "They are close."

They flew to a flat stretch of the wasteland with two mountains sitting on both sides of the flatland. "I see them," Beast Boy said, seeing Terra's aura spike on top of the mountain to the right of the flat area as she manipulated the rocks Master Roshi threw at her with ease.

Piccolo and Beast Boy landed on top of the mountain, dodging flying rocks as they approached.

"Terra," Roshi said. "Stop. We have visitors." He smirked. "Or opponents."

Terra's aura died. She wiped the hair covering her eye out of the way, making Beast Boy drool a little. "H-hi, Terra!" Beast Boy said, feeling the butterflies in his stomach go insane.

"Beast Boy!" Terra exclaimed, wrapping around him in a bear hug.

Beast Boy melted in her arms as he started to sniff her hair. It smells nice... like-

"Beast Boy," Terra said, "you can stop hugging me now."

Beast Boy hopped back. His cheeks were red from embarrassment. "Right."

"Isn't she impressive?" Roshi said to Piccolo. "She was able to master her earth manipulation in two months. It's like she had already been taught."

A look of guilt spread on Terra's face as she heard Roshi's comment.

"Maybe she was just being nice by letting an old man like me pretend to teach her things she already new." Roshi laughed, patting Terra on the back.

Terra forced herself to laugh as well.

"How is Garfield coming along?" Roshi asked.

"He mastered chi manipulation techniques like the Kamehameha and the Hellzone Grenade in three months," Piccolo said proudly.

"The Kamehameha, you say?" Roshi said, scratching his beard. "Terra also knows the Kamehameha wave, and she was taught by the man who invented it!"

"Who says that my version isn't just as powerful?" Piccolo said. "Beast Boy: show him."

"Terra, don't let Beast Boy show us up!" Roshi said.

Terra smirked, falling into stance and spiking her yellow aura. "I won't let you down," she said, drawing her hands to her side.

"Terra?" Beast Boy said, reluctantly copying what she was doing.

"Kamehameha!" they both shouted, blasting two waves of death at each other.

"Hmm..." Roshi observed the clash. "They're about equal in size and power."

They dispelled the energy waves and bowed to each other. "Nice one, Terra!" Beast Boy said.

"Thanks! You too, BB!" Terra said.

"My student is more respectful," Piccolo said. "He complimented his opponent first."

"My student is even more respectful," Roshi said. "She sincerely thanked him."

"If she was more respectful, she would have complimented Beast Boy first," Piccolo said.

As Piccolo and Roshi argued, Beast Boy pulled Terra off to the side. "Terra," he said.

"Yes? What is it?"

Beast Boy's mouth was open, but not a word came out.

Terra slowly stepped back. "Nice... talk?"

"Wait," Beast Boy said, reaching into the pocket of his uniform and pulling out a small, silver locket in the shape of a heart attached to a necklace. Terra gasped as he put it around her neck. "Do you like it?"

"I love it!" Terra exclaimed. "How did you- where-"

"When we stopped on the way to Korin Tower, I went into a jewelry store and bought it," he said. "I thought that I would give it to you at the tournament, but then we found you at the lookout." His face went red as he blushed again. "I sorta... emptied the rest of my wallet on this."

"You did that... for me?" Terra said, feeling very touched. The guilty feeling nagging at her washed over her body. She shed a tear and hugged him again. "This is the nicest thing anyone has ever given to me," she said.

"So you'll say yes?" Beast Boy said.

"Yes to what?" Terra asked.

"Our date, of course," Beast Boy said, filling Terra with deep regret.

"Sure," she said, slapping a grin on his face.

"Sweet!" Beast Boy said. "When do you want to go out?"

"Roshi, Piccolo, Beast Boy and I are going to hang out," Terra said.

Roshi and Piccolo ignored her as they argued over who was the better student.

"Let's go now," she said. "I know a really cool arcade twenty miles from here."

"Sweet!" Beast Boy said, following her into the sky.

"Get up," Vegeta snarled. "How the hell are you supposed to get stronger if you stay on the ground like a Fraknor?"

Starfire looked up into the red sky of the planet they were currently being chased on. "I cannot! The gravity is too strong!"

"Galfore would have never given up!" Vegeta said. "Give up and you will not only disgrace Galfore, but all of Tamaran!"

Starfire heard the shrieks of the giant, terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and falling apart as pustules of greenish light bore down upon her and Vegeta. A number of tentacles reached out to grab Starfire's legs. "Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!" they cried.

Starfire groaned in pain as she slowly rose to her feet. "Now fight!" Vegeta ordered.

Starfire turned around, seeing the two monsters quickly closing. She bent into stance, drawing her hands to the side of her face, curling her fingers. A pink ball of chi formed on her hands. "Galic Gun: Fire!" She let the rival of the Kamehameha fly.

"That's it!" Vegeta said, watching as his attack mowed through one of the beasts. "Now use the Kamehameha from the other side!"

Starfire barely fell into a different stance, bringing her hands to her side. "Kamehameha!" She destroyed the second creature with a fell blast, collapsing shortly after.

"What are you doing?" Vegeta snapped. "Stand up! We have three hundred feet to go until we reach the ships and get to go to the next planet! Walk!"

Starfire's entire body burned. Her teeth started to grind together as she fought gravity ten times the level of Earth. They walked, traveling up a steep hill and overlooked their ships. Starfire never felt so relieved. "Vegeta, did you and Galfore have to go through this as adolescents?"

"Yes," Vegeta said. "You're lucky to have me here. My father would strand us and Frieza would send some of his men to hunt us down."

"What would Galfore do to them?" Starfire asked.

"He'd leave them to die for betraying my father and the Vegeta-Tamaran-Gordania alliance," Vegeta said, "if they were able to last more than ten minutes against him and live."

Starfire's face became filled with shock. "Galfore?!"

"He's changed," Vegeta said. "A lot."

They climbed into their space pods and took off. Starfire's entire body yelled at her through pain. "Where are we going next?" Starfire asked.

"To a planet with the same gravity as Earth," Vegeta said.

Starfire sighed in relief.

"But with monsters three hundred feet tall and skin made of alloys stronger than titanium," Vegeta said, chuckling at imagining how Starfire must look.

"Are they friendly monsters?" Starfire said, with a small hope that just maybe they were.

"Nope," Vegeta said. "Galfore and I killed the leader for armor. That project failed, of course."

Starfire turned off her scouter and groaned, melting in her seat. "I very much hope the other Titans are having a better time than I am having."

"Don't worry," Vegeta said over an intercom. "It gets much better from here, Koriand'r."

"How?" Starfire asked. "The trials are only to become more difficult!"

"You've become used to them!" Vegeta said, laughing as they burst into space.

What do you guys think Gohan's doing? We've concentrated mostly on the original Titans for chapters four, five, and six, so I want to hear what you guys think that Popo and Gohan are up to. I have everything planned out for the next few chapters, so expect the next chapter by the end of April.
