So I have decided to make a second book for this story. You could say I'm making a series, I suppose? Like a second story to where she's in a better hiding place with Akira, not anywhere near Namimori? You know what, I'm just gonna give it away in this chapter, yeah? If you can't figure it out, just tell me, okay? And she's only going to be there for a month, 'kay? 'Kay.

And also, Twilight fans…I will be using Bella's Lullaby because I love the song so much.

Oh, DEAD LUCARIO….U-uhmmm…I'm sorry for being rude to you. I realize that you were just trying to tell me to make my story more original, butt my story is getting more original thank you. When I first started, I was a huge fan of TTOTS and I was inspired by her. So sorry if it seemed a lot like her story.

But I'm gonna go back soon and fix the story, grammar, and make it a bit more original and detailed.

So, again, sorry…and thank you.

I'm gonna have to make this quick, though, I'm going to see Divergent later today and I still have to get dressed and straighten my hair ('cause I have to now).

Did I mention I cut my hair really short and dyed it a dark red—I look like a cross between my mom (she has short red hair too) and (the younger) Justin Bieber.

I do the hair flip better, just saying.

Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 56

I was surrounded in darkness. I was standing (or floating, can't really tell) in darkness, nothing around me but black. It was actually rather peaceful, plus there was a piano playing along with a violin.

The only to people I know who can play piano, other than myself, is Akira and Kuro. Ame is the only one I know who can play violin.

But this wasn't just any song.

Akira knew I loved this song, despite the hatred towards the movies, the books will always be better. But this tune, this tune, I have always loved. I fell in love with it the moment I heard it.

I stared into the darkness for a moment longer, before closing my eyes, opening them again only to wince at the light.

I look over to the sound where the music is coming from, but I notice that I'm still in Mew's bubble and everyone was actually lying down and seemed asleep while Akira, Kuro and Ame played. Kuro and Akira sharing the roles on the piano.

By the looks of where we were, we're in my apartment and everything was packed. I yawned and the music stopped, everyone was staring at me. Okay, so maybe they weren't asleep.

"Akira, have you informed the front desk that we are going on a month's 'trip' and to not let anyone else up here?" I asked, rubbing my eyes as I tried to get used to the bright light.

"Yes, I did. Everything's ready…and I think you'll find the place I chose appropriate for the situation you're in now," he responded. I stared at him for a moment before voicing out my thoughts.

"What do you mean, Akira?"

"I found these, this morning…in your bed…under the pillow." He stood and walked over to me, reaching his hand into his pocket and pulling two objects out. I stared at them incredulously.

"Are we going where I think we're going…?" I asked very slowly, trying to comprehend what was going on.

"Yes, I have already found and bought a home for all of us to live in and we will be attending schools, so—"

"I'll be back."

"What?"

"I'm going to see Kawahira."

"…be back soon, I can sense Vongola coming closer, if you aren't back before they reach here, we'll be waiting at the airport."

"Got it. I'll see you soon, guys. Take care munchkins, I'll see you at the airport…Akira, give me the…eggs."

Akira gave them to me and I grabbed my backpack which Akira packed for me, spinning in the orb that I was still in and looked up at Mew who was taking a nap, nudging him. His eyes cracked open, and nodded, before closing them and we started moving for the balcony.

"Your passport and airline ticket is in there, be careful."

"Yeah, bye."

And off I went.

"Kawahira."

"Oh, hello, Madeline-san!~"

"Cute the crap, I need to know what the fuck these are doing here!" I took out the eggs and showed them to him. "What's going on?"

"I did you a favor," he responded simply. "You're going into real hiding this time, but you shouldn't dye your hair again."

"What am I supposed to do with it? It's a dead give-away!" I grunted.

"Cut it."

"What?" He sighed, exasperated.

"Cut it, cross dress as a boy. Keep in touch, though, yes? You'll be staying there until I call." I knew better than to argue with this guy about something like this. But I just have this strange feeling, y'know, that he's hiding something from me. Something important.

I stayed quiet for a moment, knowing that he's planed shit (again). Pondering about it, his idea was actually kind of genius.

"Fine, but also, I need you to make me sixteen again."

"Sure, whatever," he snapped his fingers.

A bright light shined in my face, making me shut my eyes. Opening them after a moment, blinking. Damn, that was bright.

"Considering you are the twin to a boy, you are as tall as him as you were in the future." I nodded.

"The average height of a teenage male, I was just five foot eight just a second ago so I'm guessing I grew one or two inches…" Hesitating a moment, I added a strangled, "thank you."

"Anything for the funnest toy I've ever had."

"Pedophile."

"Brat."

"Old fart."

"Fraud."

I froze, letting that specific word sink in.

I'm…a fraud?

"Lace-chan," Akira called over, waving his hand. I walked over and pulled out my laptop and sat down in an empty chair.

"We're all going to school."

"What?" Kuro asked, dumbfounded. "Wait, did you get taller?"

"I'm sixteen now, almost seventeen. Same with Akira, I fixed some things, also, for reasons, Akira and I will be cross dressing."

"You're trying to kill me aren't you? Torture?" Akira deadpanned.

"I'm making sure we aren't a dead give-away." I snapped, glaring at my computer as I started to enroll into the high school I'll be attending along with Akira, getting my school records online (by hacking of course), making an order to mail them to my new address while I copy the files before deleting them from the online system and the back-up file.

I start editing my picture, making my hair short and changing a few details.

I then went to start enrolling Akira and I into high school.

It was actually kind of cute how Kuro and Yukino were the youngest; adorable, really.

Finishing up the enrollment and ordering the many uniforms, that should arrive immediately, in the correct sizes to our new address. I paused at the new notification in my email inbox, clicking on it—tensing.

Don't die. We'll find you.

I stared at it blankly, face void of emotion.

RE: You Idiot

I can't die. Not again. I'll be back in around 45 days. Bye, Reborn. I wish I could have attended the ceremony.

I shut my laptop.

Everything was almost done, the stage was nearly set. The stage of hiding from the Mafia world will soon be commencing.

"Flight 3F, please make your wat to your plane, we are now boarding." The announcer said through the intercom. I stood, the kids rubbing their eyes and grabbing their suitcases.

It was time to go, and I still need to explain the whole hair ordeal to them. I should probably tell Akira I got him hair extensions…and when the time comes…

I will never let him live that down.

We stared at each other, we were in our new home, it was Tuesday evening (I was around seven and the mail should arrive early tomorrow) and I told him the plan.

He was horrified, but then he sighed and nodded.

I sat down, my back to him and I breathed.

I can do this.

He lifted his arms and grabbed some hair. I can do this, I can totally do th—

Snip.

"My poor babies," I breathed out, eyeing the hair that landed on the floor silently. Akira continued, taking his time to make it perfect. "I should have pulled off a Sakura Haruno or Akane Tendo."

"Oh, shush, you can grow it back with sun flames."

"I know, but still."

It was silent, the only noise was the snipping of scissors and Akira' movement and breathing.

Furniture was already here and set. Rooms were chosen (I got the master bedroom, duh!) and everyone else was sleeping and fixing their jetlag. I had used the airplane wifi and I've transferred my school-credit-shit-stuff to the new school.

The kids have been homeschooled, so no paperwork, or typing, yay.

"Done!" Akira exclaimed. I opened my eyes—when did I close them?—and looked at the mirror which held my reflection.

I looked exactly like Fran.

"I'll shower quickly since it's late. Goodnight, Akira, thanks." I admit, I was tired and it was ten.

"Lacie-chan, wake up!" Someone shook me, making me groan, I'm trying to catch some z's here! I swear I've only been asleep for like...ten minutes.

"Goh afwayy," I mumbled into my pillow.

"Wow, she's even lazier when she's older."

"Shuf va fuck uf andf gef ouf ov muh rom," I groaned, catching a glimpse at the time—five in the morning.

"No, our shit just arrived and the guy needs you to sign for them."

"Why so fucking early!" Quickly getting out of bed, I walked down stairs and to the door, a guy stood there, tapping his foot impatiently. "So, you're the reason I had to get up so fucking early, huh?" I said bluntly, face straight and voice lower to sound more like Fran. I was wearing a baggy t-shirt and basketball shorts, manly, right?

He turned to me and glared. Well then, this guy has attitude. Well, I've got sass.

Mail Dude uses Attitude!

"Will you just sign this, I need to get other deliveries done."

It has no effect!

Lacie uses Morning Sass!

"Then give me the fucking shit so I can sign the damn thing, we can get this shit over with and you can fucking leave my house."

It was very effective!

"I-I-I'll report to child services! You shouldn't have a mouth like that around children!"

"Good luck with that. I'm sixteen, they're my siblings, mother and father are overseas so I can say whatever the fuck I want. Now give me the damn shit!"

Mail Dude has fainted!

Okay, not really, but I obviously win. I signed the thing after he handed it to me and I shoved it back at him and he scurried out, shutting the door behind him.

Great, now I'm up and won't be able to go back to sleep. I grabbed the pocket knife that was on the table next to me and opened all the boxes swiftly. I reached in and pulled out the kids' uniforms—what the hell?

"These people are stupid!" I groaned, staring at the uniforms. Three blue, two red. I ordered Two blue and three red. What idiots.

I pulled out the black ones, which are mine and Akira's, and nodded. At least these are fine.

"Lacie-chan?" Ame asked, rubbing her eye—SO CUTE! Cough.

"One of you girls will need to wear a boy uniform. They got my order wrong," I sighed, rubbing my head.

"I'll wear it," Ame offered, "it matches my eyes anyways."

"That it does, thanks Ame-chan." I pat her head, handing her the uniform and going into the rooms and giving the others their uniforms. I went back and peaked into the box and almost busted out laughing—it has arrived—it's time. "Akira!"

He walked in, and caught the uniform I threw at him, not really looking at it. I reached in the box and looked at him.

"Go and sit down, don't look." He looked at me weirdly. "I wanna play with your hair, girls, go outside and pick some flowers and bring them to me. Boys, you stay with me."

They did as told; Ah, the perks of being a mafia boss.

Akira sat down in a chair, facing away and I brought out what I grabbed from the box. Kuro snickered and Yukino's lips twitched. I went over and started lightly playing with his hair, subtly setting in the hair exenctions properly. They're really light, he shouldn't even notice they're there until he looks in the mirror. I finished and stopped, smirking at the success in my plan.

"That felt nice," he sighed, getting ready to stand.

"Wait!" I pushed him back down in the chair, just as Ame, Insane and Zero came back in with flower. The froze seeing Akira. I held a finger to my lips. Setting the flowers down, I sat on the ground in front of them and picked up two flowers.

Poking a hole through the stem with the end of the other, I started weaving the flowers together. I felt all their eyes on me. I know the Akira already knew how I know how to do this.

"Done," I sighed, looking at my creation. It was a flower crown (thing was a bitch to learn to make), made of red and white roses (thorns removed) and small, tiny flowers decorated around them that were a light purple color. I stood, walking over to Akira and setting the crown on his head before backing away and bowing.

"M'lady." Kuro bursts out laughing, Yukino snorts and the girls go into a fit of giggles.

"What?" He asks, quickly standing and going over to the hallway mirror. We always tease him about looking more like a girl than a boy. "Lacie!"

"I'm not Lacie, I'm Akira. Oh, here's your uniform, again. Better take a look at it this time." I picked up the uniform that he had dropped and tossed it to him when he came back into the room. He didn't really look at it earlier, but I did.

"Put it on."

"What?"

"Oh, and here are your fake boobs." I reached in the box and threw those at him too (he caught them easily). "And bra, thigh high socks—they're black so they'll match your uniform—and your corset-looking shoes that should reach your knees. They have white strings, you're gonna look sexy."

"I'll look like a Lolita!" He whined.

"I'm serious, though. That…dress—thing—is, in fact, your uniform." I deadpanned, eyeing his uniform warily.

"Fine! But put yours on too!"

"We have to," Yukino piped up. "We have school today."

"Wait—WHAT?!" Akira and I shouted.

"Forgot to tell you, we got a letter in the mail," Kuro scratched his neck. "We were lucky the mail man got here so early, actually. It's seven fifteen, school starts in forty-five minutes." Have we really been up that long?!

"Grab your uniforms and get ready. Akira, when you're done, go to the kitchen and make us all samiches for lunch and grab some juice sacks for all of us," I ordered, picking up my binder, uniform and socks, running to my room and into my personal bathroom.

Strip, bra off, binder/bandages, briefs, pants, belt, undershirt, shirt, socks, brush teeth, run out and open last box.

The kids came out just in time and Akira was handing them their lunches. I shoved a bag towards him and some school supplies, doing the same with the kids' stuff before grabbing mine, Akira hands me my lunch and I carefully set it in my bag.

I look over at the eggs sitting on a small pillow, reaching for them, I put them carefully in my front pocket and pick up Ame and set her on my shoulders, I pick up Zero and Insane and hold them in my arms.

Akira does the same with Kuro and Yukino, I was the only one who knew the way to both the schools.

We ran out the door, Akira kicking the door shut—unlocked, oh well. Running, I turned right and saw the kids' school (we didn't live that far, really, but Akira and I need to get to our school too), we passed by other kids who stared as we ran by.

As we reached the school, people were ogling a group of people and seemed to huddle together, and my legs were definitely no slowing down.

"Get ready to jump," I said, face blank and voice monotone, knowing they all heard me. Insane and Zero hop up so their feet are on my forearm and Ame does the same on my shoulders. "Go."

They all jump, Akira and the boys following suit. I jump after, flipping over the group, catching the sight of pink hair before landing and standing back up. Ame landed on my shoulders again and I caught Insane and Zero. Looking over, Akira (cough 'Lacie' cough) caught Kuro and Yukino.

I noticed people were staring at us in awe, but I ignored it. They're little kids, after all. I kneel and let them climb off.

"Line up," I said. They shuffled, youngest to oldest, cute. I pat their head and give them the smallest of a smile. "You guys have never been to school, behave, watch the language, listen to your teacher, and have fun, make friends." The nodded and stood and turned to the group that was still staring at us along with other students. I glared at them, coldly.

"You guys should really stop grouping, people are trying to get through and they can't do that with you in the way."

"La—Akira-chan! They're just children!" Akira reprimanded, but I continued looking at the group. I looked at the group that everyone else was ogling at—oh.

"You're new around here, I presume?" The blond spoke up after a moment, giving us a charming smile.

"Yeah, now excuse me. My sister and I need to go to our own school." I drawled out monotonously and walked past everyone, pulling on Akira's hand, breaking out into a sprint since we only had little time left.

Great, first day of school and I've already met Seiyo's Guardians and late for school.

Just peachy.

Yeah…so…

I have nothing to say…

Other than it's rushed...I know.

I'm tired guys… I cosplayed at school today with my friends ( I was a homestuck troll, Karkat) and let's just say people poked fun at me again.

And holy shit I need to get ready.

I'm going skating.

Did I mention that this chapter was mostly written on paper and then re-written here? Well, yeah. Half this story, at where Lacie gets to Kawahira's and she's like "Kawahira."? Yeah. From there, everything was thought up during school. On word it's like…ten pages, and the first half is on my computer, this half is on my mom's laptop because I'm a lazy bitch and don't feel like turning my computer and I just like my mom's laptop better.

But, yeah, I'm gonna go.

I'm so tired, I need energy…it took me a few days to write this, so the author notes should be off by a few days.

Love you all lots.

Review please!
