Sorry it's taken a while guys, I just… I haven't been right in the mind lately. Not in the mentally insane way (not that I'm not already there), but, my finals were annoying as hell, I really wanted to rest the first few days of summer because I have to retake a test (EOI) because I was three questions off from passing the fucking thing. So, I've been studying, YES, I was studying during summer. Disgusting, I know.
But I have to pass this shit.
But annyways, I was just sitting on the couch watching Pokemon while playing Pokemon Black 2, 'cause that's just how you do it, and this idea came into my mind.
Then I was reminded that I haven't updated in a fucking month.
I will make it up to you guys, I promise!
Enjoy!

Chapter 58 – Omake: The Play
I was honestly already sick of this school and the students, but, it's not like I can do anything. I have to keep away for a while until… 'I' come along to take me back. I just need to let time flow.
But of course, as time went on, I had a bad feeling when I was called into the drama room along with Akira. What the fuck do they want with us anyways?
I noticed Ikuto in the room as well as Akira and I entered, everyone turning to us. A girl, the class president, hopped over to us—I'm not kidding, maybe she's part bunny or some shit—and held out a box to us.
"You need to draw a role for the play our class is performing with class 3C," she said, something in her tone was off, and it bugged me.
"What play?" Akira asked while I simply raised an eyebrow. What are they talking about?
"Well, you weren't here when it was announced, considering you just transferred and all," she explained, "but we voted on some things, and we can't change it for you guys considering we already turned our form in."
"Understandable," I nodded, reaching in for a slip, there were literally only two left, so I grabbed the one that was on the left.
"Oh, and you aren't allowed to switch."
Akira reached for his slip as I read my role.
I spluttered, feeling my face heat up.
"W-what?!" I screeched, my voice cracking, making Ikuto snicker in amusement. He eyed me curiously, though.
"Ah, I got the main antagonist, and it's a male…" Akira announced awkwardly while some guys groaned. He turned to me, tilting his head. "What about you, Nii-chan?"
"I swear, everywhere I go, I just have to cross dress! I don't get it! Why is it always me?! Why do I have to be the damsel in distress?! I already have enough of you and the other brats doing this, but now I have to for a school play? What even is this blasphemy?!" I rambled angrily, pacing back and forth.
"Oozora," Ikuto called, amusement in his tone. "Did you happen to get the role of the main female who gets kidnapped, also the lover of the hero in the story; or how you refer to it: the 'damsel in distress'?"
Everyone froze, looking at me expectantly.
"Damn right, I did!" I growled. "And I refuse to play this role!"
"It counts as forty percent of your grade, it's a participation grade."
I paused, before burying my face into Akira's shoulder, fake-sobbing into his shoulder.
"Why me?!" I sobbed.
"Is he actually crying?" I heard Ikuto ask Akira. I turned around with a straight face.
"Of course not, idiot. The whole tantrum I just pulled off? All an act." Everyone blanched at me, except Akira, as if knowing the whole time. Bastard. "Hey, it's a play, I need to see if my acting skills were still good."
"You act?" Ikuto asked in amusement. I looked over at him, stared for a moment and smirked.
"I've been acting my whole life, shrimp."
"I'm taller than you."
"I meant in strength, idiot."
"Obviously a lie there."
"You wanna bet, shrimp?"
"Deal."
I made my smirk go to a mischievous grin.
"Great!" I chirped, looking over at Akira, smiling. "Lacie! I have a new play-mate now~"
I saw Ikuto tense and I smirked at him.
"What's wrong Tsukiyomi, afraid?"
"In your dreams, chibi."
"I'm normal height, you're just tall."
"Sure."
"Fuck you."
"No thanks."
"U-uhh…" I turned to look at the class president, noticing everyone was just staring in amusement and some just not knowing what to do, others making small talk. I look back at the class president, nodding in acknowledgement. "We need to make measurements to for your dress, we'll also need to get you hair extensions, cover up those little markings under your eyes and curl your hair."
I stared at her in horror before scoffing.
"Just send me the design of the dress, I can make it myself."
"Do you even know how to sew?" A girl asked rhetorically. I looked away.
"My mother taught me when I was younger."
Some guys started laughing, but I ignored them, not really finding it embarrassing. I stared out the window dazedly, feeling Akira giving me a sad gaze.
"There is nothing wrong with knowing how to sew," Ikuto said loudly, everyone stopped to look at him. Ikuto looked through narrowed eyes, "at least he's not useless in this situation."
The males in the room gulped, some blushed and looked away, and me, I just smiled softly. So maybe he isn't a complete jerk.
He turned to me and nodded his head.
"Oozora-kun," the class president held out some papers. "The designs." I took them and looked over the detail with distaste.
"When does it need to be done?"
"In two weeks, we perform on that Friday."
"And, who is playing as my hero?"
"I am."
I froze, turning robotically to Ikuto, quickly turning back and looking at the class president, I think her name was Izuki Inari, actually, and putting my hands on her shoulders.
"When do we start rehearsing and where is my script?"
"A-A-Akinawa has the scripts," she stuttered, her face red. "We s-start rehearsing n-next week, we have this w-weekend to look over our l-lines and the two weeks to m-memorize them."
"Akinawa!" I shouted, turning away from Izuki and noticed a girl at a table with two scripts left on the table. I walked over to her and grabbed the scripts. "I'm guessing you know who has which role from the commotion I made?" She nodded frantically and I turned away and made my way over to Akira and handed him his script while I flipped through the script, reading every word quickly.
Izuki gasped, covering her mouth, her face red.
"I completely forgot!" she said. "I'm so sorry Oozora-kun! I forgot, I-I-I'm sorry!"
"What?" Akinawa voiced out, before realization dawned on her face, I looked away, flipping through the pages more frantically. "O-oh…"
"What's going on?"
"I don't know. Do you?"
"No…"
"Oozora, what's up with you?"
I finally stopped at a page where the lines were right in front of me, in print, staring back at me.
"Oi, Oozora—what?"
Then there was the sound of another script being flipped through, Ikuto must have saw the line, going through his to double check if it was right.
[Main Character (Hero/Protagonist) and Main Female (Damsel in distress/Hero's Lover) Kiss] stared at me as if it was taunting me to rip it up in irritation.
"What is this?" I asked, feeling everyone tense, even Akira.
"Lacie," he whispered in my ear, "calm down."
"…fine. I take acting seriously, and if it's in the script, I'll do it. But I'm only doing it once, so save it for the real deal. God, sometimes I curse myself for being born a male."
"Wait—you aren't serious, are you?" Ikuto asked incredulously.
"It's just a kiss, it's not like it has any meaning to it. Besides, it's just for a play, as well, give what the crowd wants. They want a real ending, not an obvious fake one, idiot."
I grabbed Akira's hand and dragged him out.
"We're going to buy some real material for this dress."
"Wha—but those type of materials for a dress like that will cost a fortune!" someone gasped. "Maybe I should've designed the dress to be more simple…"
"The dress is fine," I paused mid-step, looking over my shoulder to smile at the girl who drew the designs. "It's actually very beautiful, don't worry on the money, it's nothing I can't handle," and I continued to drag Akira away so we could go find a good store.
LINE BREAK MUTHAFAHKAH
I'm sat down in the living room floor, having called the principal and telling him I was leaving early along with Akira, him not arguing. Akira was laughing continuously, his wig carefully set on the table and in some shorts and a t-shirt.
We had gone to various stores buying the shit that was needed. We bought hair extensions, surprising me that they even had them in my hair color. We bought a shit-ton of different materials for this, the price not even making a dent in my fortune, then went to buy two different shoes, flats and…the other painful looking ones.
They were…high heels, yes, just normal ones that are bland and simple. But there was a ribbon attached to it, needing to wrap it around just to below my knee and tying the bow in the back. I don't have a problem with heels, I just don't like wearing them.
"So, you have to kiss him?" Akira chuckled, looking over his script. He was playing the villain who kidnaps my character.
"Yeah…" I grumbled, pulling the needle through the silky-white material. It was basically a Lolita dress, really, which requires ribbons, ruffles, and, sadly, a corset. Which I already own in various colors, I'm just glad that it's the only thing that isn't white, it's brown with gold strings, and that actually makes it tolerable. I don't have to be dressed in all white, making me look innocent.
"How's the dress coming?"
"The sleeves need to have that slight 'poof' to them, it goes down to just above my knees and it has the double-ruffle just before it ends," I start explaining, already memorizing the more important details that need more attention. "The shoes are going to be a pain in the ass, and the hair extensions—oh god, why couldn't I just have use sun flames to grow my hair?"
"Because people might question it if someone pulls on it and don't notice where the attachment is for the extensions?" Akira offered. "Or if it doesn't come off when someone would pull really hard."
"Now that I think about it…" I pondered for a moment, looking up at the ceiling. "Tsukiyomi has a sister that is delusional and crazy for him."
"…Hoshina Utau, the singer, right?"
"Yeah, her."
"I'm pretty sure Ame has her CD."
"Really? Huh, never would've guessed."
"You should get back to the dress," he teased.
"I already finished a fourth of it!" I snapped, glaring at him.
"We're home!~" My face heated as I scrambled to try and hide the materials. Akira just cackles, holding his stomach and tears forming in his eyes.
"What's going on here?" Kuro blanched, making me freeze in the process. I slumped and groaned,
"We're in a play and I have to play the damsel in distress…"
And that had everyone rolling on the floor, dying in laughter.
"I hate you all."
LINE BREAK AGAIN MUTHAFAHKAH
It's a good thing it was Friday when we received our shit, I had honestly focused on finishing the dress. Having my headphones on, blasting music so that I could ignore everything around me and my attention being solely on sewing.
Ame even helped me a bit when I started getting tired. My fingers would get numb and I would rest for a bit.
Now, it's Monday and I was almost finished with the thing, in fact, I should have it done by tomorrow or Wednesday. I sighed in relief while walking to the gym after school, Akira probably already being there.
I bumped into someone, making look up.
"Oh, Tsukiyomi."
"Yo. Are you going to the gym?" He asked, I nodded in response. We started walking together, both of us yawning at the same time.
"Why are you tired?"
"My sister was nagging on me this whole weekened, wanting to know who I have to kiss in the play. She found the script and started interrogating me," he responded nonchalantly before looking over to me through the corner of his eye. "You?"
"I've been making the stupid dress," I grumbled irritably. I looked over in surprise as I heard an amused 'pfft' come from him. He was laughing, it was weird seeing a smile on him.
"I can't wait to see it, and see how you look like as a girl," he continued chuckling, his laughter having died down. I glared at him and turned away with a huff.
"Not the first time I've had to dress like a girl."
"Wait, what?"
I glanced at him, looking back to what was in front of me as we neared the gym.
"I have three younger sisters, two if you don't count Akira," I answered subtly, "and I play video games with my two younger brothers. Being the oldest isn't easy."
"I know the feeling. But, what about your parents?"
"Do you want to know a secret?" I turned to him, making him turn to me as well. "My parents are dead."
His eyes widened.
"But—how?"
"Akira's parents are dead as well," I continued, looking ahead as we entered the gym, no one really noticing our entrance, "along with all my other siblings. If you haven't gotten the hint, we're all adopted, and even with that, my foster mother is dead and my foster father is getting old." I scowled. "Never liked the man either way, bastard."
"Your family is pretty messed up. But mine is worse."
"Oh, I know all about your family, Tsukiyomi Ikuto, older brother to Tsukiyomi Utau, mostly known as Hoshina Utau on your Step-Father's side." His whole body turned to me, feeling his eyes burning into me, I continued. "Your father disappeared when you were younger, leaving your mother in despair as she was also in the hospital, I believe, so you had to stay with family friends. Well, with Hotori Tadase, anyways. That's pretty much all information I have on your family."
"How the hell do you know all that?" He growled. I snickered.
"I can find anything about anyone, Tsukiyomi. I was raised that way," I laughed, pointing at a girl across the hall. "Her parents are always fighting and almost never home, so she's always trying to find friends to hang out with." I pointed to a boy this time that was talking to a friend. "His parents are divorced, lives with his father, who pressures him into soccer and getting good grades."
"That's just creepy. Why do you know all this, anyways?"
"Knowledge is power. You need power to survive, therefore, I need knowledge to survive." I knew he was going to say something but then Akira called out.
"Nii-chan!" I looked over to the stage where Akira was, his voice back to its original, more masculine, self. "Do I sound like a boy?"
"Yeah, you do. Sounds great."
"Ah, Oozora-kun, we need to work on your voice as well, and we need to rehearse this part as well, it'll be one of the more tricky parts, but Oozora-chan said she could handle it."
"What part is it?" I asked, walking over and leaving Ikuto behind where he was standing.
"The part where he swoops in on a rope and grabs you by your waist to take you away," Izuki answered.
"I think I can handle my vocals," I sighed, clearing my throat, going back to normal vocals instead of making myself sound like Fran. "Like this, right?"
Everyone that was in hearing range had the jaws to the floor, those who weren't looking had to turn quickly to look and most likely got whiplash.
"Th-that's p-perfect…" Izuki mumbled.
I clapped my hands together, like a Loli-Girl, smiling brightly, "Yay!"
Akira face palmed while everyone had to turn away. I wonder why? I cackled mentally.
"O-okay, so we're going to have a latter over here so that you can swing all the way to the other side of the stage," Akinawa explained, Akira and I nodding. "And my little sister told me about the stunts you guys can pull, if you can, can you do that?"
I look at Akira and shrugged, "I don't really care."
"Sure, that's fine."
"Great!"
"Ikuto-kun!" Izuki called, I felt arms drape over my shoulders, wrapping themselves around me and weight on my head. "Ah, we need to practice this scene…"
"Yeah, I overheard. It's the scene where my 'lover' and I are on a date or something and someone swoops her up and kidnaps her, basically."
"Yeah, so where do I need to be standing when I get kidnapped?" I asked nonchalantly. I felt Ikuto shiver behind me, him basically draped over me and all.
"You seriously sound like a girl."
"I try, sweetheart."
"Don't call me that."
"Just getting into character."
"That's a bit much."
"Not really."
"Stop talking like that."
"But I'm in character."
"Then get out of it."
"No."
LINE BREAK UH-HUH UH-HUH I LIKE IT UH-HUH UH-HUH
"So are you guys ready?" I look over at Akira, he gave me a thumbs up. I turn back to Izuki, nodding. "Great, okay! Tsukiyomi-san, can you wrap your arm around Oozora-kun, or hold hands?"
I felt his hand settle on my hip, bringing me closer as if we were an actual couple. Yeah, that's right. You better take your acting seriously.
"And—Action!"
We began walking slowly, Ikuto reading out his line.
"My beautiful, fair maiden, I do hope that you are enjoying your stay with me," Ikuto said to me, gently, giving me a small smile.
"Oh, I am pleasantly so!" I responded cheerily (bluh!), smiling big and adding a small giggle and taking a sad expression afterwards. "Though, are you quite sure that I am not troubling you?"
"Stop for a second!" Akinawa yelled, it was then that I noticed that everyone had stopped their duties and were gaping at us. What were they looking at?
"Tch," I scratched the back of my head, "What? Did we do something wrong?"
"No, you guys are perfect for your roles," Akinawa waved her hand, dismissing the subject. "On Tsukiyomi's next line, he gets cut off by Oozora-chan's character. Oozora-chan, will you be able to yell Tsukiyomi's character's name loud enough? I don't want you to strain your vocals…" Akira nodded.
"I think I can handle it," he smiled.
"Alright, start from Oozora-kun's last line, please!"
And so, I repeated myself, making my expression sad again. He took his hand off my hip as we turned to look at each other.
"Of course you aren't, Lumiere, I would do anything for you, for I—" Queue Akira's entrance.
"Kurosawa Rin!" He yelled, haughtily, surprising everyone but me. "I knew following that girl's carriage would lead me to you!"
"It couldn't be…" Ikuto growled.
"Now!" I heard Izuki whisper. Everything happened quickly, Akira swooping down on a rope, smirking cockily as he wrapped one arm around me, holding me close and carefully. I shrieked—being in the script, I had to—as we went back into the air, and the Akira let go of the rope, flipping, and landing smoothly.
"Lumiere!" Ikuto yelled in fake-despair.
"STAHP!" We all looked at Akinawa and Izuki, who were both sparkling.
"That was fantastic! Oozoras! You were simply astonishing! We're totally going to win this!"
"It's a competition?" I deadpanned, eyebrow twitching, voice deeper (somewhat) again.
"Yup!"
"Great."
LINE BREAK BOOYAHH
~Day of the Play~
I hadn't shown anyone but Akinawa and Izuki the dress. They immediately gushed over how it was perfect and that I was definitely wearing the heels.
Damn it.
But, today was the day and my makeup was being done first.
"You're so calm about this," Izuki commented.
"I've been in more serious situations," I replied shortly.
I felt her apply lip gloss, she made me open my eyes for the mascara and she applied just a small amount of blush. All in all—my face felt heavy, even though it wasn't much.
"Done—oh…wow…" She gasped, staring in shock. I stood.
"I know, so feminine, right? Send Lacie to my room, please." I pushed her out as I started undressing. Slipping on normal, female panties, unwrapping my bandages and putting on the bra I brought with me.
I shifted uncomfortably, not used to the material anymore, pulling the dress out and slipping into it. I tightened the corset a bit, making it tight, but still loose so that it doesn't fucking kill me, and tied the strings. I sat in front of the mirror I was provided, grapping the extensions that are long enough to reach my waist—unlike my natural hair that used to go to my knees. Used to.
I shook my head and started clipping them in, staring at my face, faintly thinking about the last time I wore makeup—oh, right, never. I'm hilarious.
I scowled, flicking my now long hair, happy that it's already curled so I don't have to do it.
A knock interrupted my scowling, sounding throughout the room.
"Come in," I called, turning around as Akira walked through. His hair tied back in a low ponytail to make him more masculine—which worked, I suppose. He was wearing a grey petticoat, his inner shirt was a long sleeved shirt, ruffles in the front on his collar. He wore black pants and brown leather boots that went up to his knees. He looked like those old noble people, really. It actually looked good on him.
"Ehh…to see you wearing makeup…" he laughed lightly with his 'stage' voice, which was honestly how he always sounded before coming here.
"Shut your mouth," I snapped, using my original, more girly voice as well, "help me with my hair, please."
"Of course."
He walked over as I turned back to the mirror, picking up the white bow.
"Here, take some hair from both—"
"I know, I saw the drawings, I'm just going to put my own little touch into it," he chuckled as I felt him start getting to it, I watched my reflection quietly.
He stopped on one side, reaching over for a couple of bobby pins, pinning it as he started on the other side.
French braids on either side of my head were neatly finished, Akira taking out the pins, molding the loose strands together and tying it with the bow.
"I'll get your shoes."
"Okay, but I can do it myself."
"But I want to."
I huffed, crossing my arms, "Fine."
He came back, kneeling, and slipping both shoes before starting to wrap them ballerina style and tying the bows in the back. He stood back up, me following suit.
I scowled immediately after standing.
"I feel—"
"Girly?"
"Exactly that. These heels are already bugging me."
"Well—"
"Say anything about my gender and I'll ignore you after the play." He just laughs, going to the doors.
"Ame, Kuro, Zero, Yukino and Insane are here, along with the Little Guardians." My face heat up.
"What? What about school?!" I spluttered, nervous and suddenly feeling embarrassed.
"Apparently it's a school field trip to watch the play. I remember them asking me to sign something, but I was making dinner so I didn't really pay attention to what it said…" He chuckled nervously as I glared at him. "Also, out principal invited their school, so…"
"Shit, this is hella embarrassing, bro."
"…homestuck?"
"Yeah."
He shook his head.
"Anyways, let's go. It's almost time to go on stage." I nodded, following him out the door.
Okay, so maybe I was hiding behind him.
"Oi, girl Oozora, where's your brother? There's ten minutes lef!" I heard Ikuto call, coming closer. I silently groaned.
"Oozora?"
Okay, so my groan wasn't silent. Damn it all.
I peeked at Ikuto from Akira's arm.
"What?" I snapped.
"Well, let's see it, I want to see your sewing work," he put a hand on his hip, looking amused and cocky. I scowled at him, stepping out from behind Akira.
His eyes widened and there were gasps around me, followed by whispers. I balled my fists as my eyebrow twitched. My right eyebrow, to be exact.
"You…" he breathed out, small tint on his cheeks, "really look like a girl."
I scoffed, walking past him.
"No shit, Sherlock, that's the point. And guess what? You have the pleasure of kissing this girl," I sneered before turning around and smirking at him. "Also, Amu and her Little Guardians are here."
His expression changed. I smirked; Jackpot.
"Utau is here, too," he blanched. I blinked. "She knows you're a guy, she doesn't know your gay, and she's guessing that we're going to fake it." I nod.
"Same with my family, they believe I won't kiss you because…yeah." He nods this time. "Boy, will they all be surprised."
"Oozora-kun!" I turned to Izuki and Akinawa.
"You look so—so—splendid!" Izuki gushed.
Akinawa squealed, "Amazing!"
I smiled. "It's no problem."
"Ah, come on, it's time!"
"Right!"
LINE BREAK MWAHAHAHA
Ikuto and I walked on to the stage, me smiling and looking around, the back curtain is sea with a port for a background image. The other guys set up fake shops and the 'merchants' were persuading 'customers'.
I had to admit, Ikuto look pretty hot. He was wearing grey pants, with black boots. A white long sleeve and a black vest over it, a dark blue petticoat covering the other clothes. I guess he had to extensions too, considering the long, fake low ponytail that he was sporting.
Which was also tied by a black string-bow-thing. I cackled mentally. This was too good to be true.
We stopped at a stand with fake jewelry, me examining them while Ikuto spoke, having little mics attached to us before we started.
"My beautiful, fair maiden, I do hope that you are enjoying your stay with me." Ikuto said, I looked over to him, happily.
"Oh, I am pleasantly so!" My cheery expression then turning to sad and worried. "Though, are you quite sure that I am not troubling you, Rin?"
"Ikuto set his hands on my shoulders, giving me a serious but gentle expression, "Of course not, Lumiere, how could I ever think that? I would do anything for you, for I—"
"Kurosawa Rin!" Akira yelled, Ikuto and I jumping in fake surprise. "I knew following that girl's carriage would lead me to you!"
"It couldn't be…" Ikuto growled.
Akira came swooping on the rope which surprised everyone, some girls even squealing. I shrieked as I was suddenly in the air again with Akira.
"Lumiere!" Ikuto shouted.
"Rin!" I called back in distress, Akira letting go of the rope, making some people scream. He flipped before landing, turning around as he held me in a lock, cackling. Ikuto glared at Akira, who was smirking back at him.
"Let go of her this instant!" Ikuto yelled.
"And why should I?" Akira sneered. "I'm going to make you pay, Kurosawa Rin! I'll have my revenge…starting with this girl." I squeaked as he pulled on my hair. He's probably going to apologize for it later like the little bitch he is, though.
I almost shivered at the tone of Akira's voice, it was so cold and merciless. Heartless.
Like you? My eyes widened at the voice that rang through my head.
Not now. No. Go away.
As you wish.
I sighed as Akira and Ikuto continued their lines, Akira 'knocking me unconscious' and carrying me away.
The play continued, Ikuto looking for me, fighting guys that Akira sent after him. Akira throwing me in a cage. No, not a cell. A fucking cage. I really hate this play.
Akira left himself to deliver a message to Ikuto about my 'current state' in my cell. While he was gone, a girl that was playing Akira's fiancée came in and started yelling at me about how I was taking up all her lover's attention. She took out a fake gun—
Wait—that's—
"And now I have to kill you." She said, her eyes narrowed. I screamed, dodging the 'fake' bullet that was shot at me, pretending that it was in the script. She pulled the trigger again, but nothing happened. "Tch! That was the only bullet…"
I was panting, cowering on the floor, head down.
She kicked the cage.
"Pathetic," she spat before turning away and stalking out of the 'room'. My eyes narrowed at the hole in the floor next to me.
That was a real gun.
That wasn't a normal girl.
She knows who I am.
The scene continued, Akira coming in and demanding why I was scared all of a sudden, me not having been scared at all during my 'stay', believing that Rin would come save me.
"You're lover isn't happy," I stated, simply. Sitting in the chair I was provided again and staring at him right in the eyes, "that you're giving me all your attention, along with Rin."
"That woman?" He spat. "What did she do."
"She tried to shoot me." His eyes narrowed.
He knew as well.
"I see."
"Sir!" A henchman came stumbling in with fake cuts and bruises. "Kurosawa—he's here…" He finished before falling to the floor, 'dying'.
"Another life lost…" Akira muttered. "He will pay."
"This wouldn't have happened if you didn't start anything!" I snapped, standing abruptly.
"What would you know!?" He growled at me, stepping closer. "You're the 'Queen' on my chessboard, and you're about to be sacrificed."
I gasped, backing up, stumbling over the chair leg as he opened the door to my cage. He pulled me by my arm, out of the cage and threw me to the ground.
I kept backing up, him just getting closer. Then Ikuto, or Rin (as I should be calling him), came rushing in, almost tripping the 'dead' body that was in the room.
"SHUN!" Ikuto roared in anger. I was pulled up, fake knife to my neck. My eyes widened as I stood frozen in my spot. "I'm here now! Let her go!"
"No, for the game to continue, another piece must be sacrificed! And guess who's next…" The knife inched closer, I sucked in my breath.
"No!" He lunged forward with a fake sword, Akira threw me to the ground, making me grunt, taking out his own sword.
They battled for a few minutes, yelling at each other at the same time. Rin finally defeated Shun and he carried me back to safety on the 'ship' he came on with some fellow comrades as we set back to 'home' and away from the 'island' where Shun had his base.
I sound mentally insane, oh my god.
With my back to the audience, he embraced me in a hug, before pulling back. I gave him a look, his eye twitching in response.
He dipped me to the side, everyone gasping as he leaned forward and kissed me. Applauds met my ear, followed by squealing and wolf whistles, but I could still hear the curtain closing.
We had to stay like this until it closed completely.
When it finally closed, he pulled away, helping me stand right. I sighed, looking at him, noticing the pink tint to his cheeks. I raised an eyebrow.
"Why are you blushing?"
"It felt like I was kissing a girl, not a guy."
"Oh, shut it."
"Ikuto." An melodic, soft, yet angered and menacing voice was heard to the side of us. I turned, along with Ikuto who tensed, and was met with a hard glare from…oh. "I thought you said it was a guy?! That's a girl and that you were staging that kiss!"
I blinked before sighing, her glare not having the affect she was probably hoping for. I looked her straight in the eye.
"Am I really that feminine?" I drawled, voice slightly deep again. Her jaw dropped. "Sorry I had to kiss your brother, he knows I take acting very seriously, now stop acting like a spoiled brat and congratulate him on his great performance."
She spluttered, face red with embarrassment, as she continued glaring at me. She turned to Ikuto and clung to his arm.
"Ne, ne, you did really good, you know!" She praised. I turned as Ame, Zero, Insane, Kuro and Yukino came running up to me, Akira appearing beside me, and glomping us. I felt Utau staring, as I ruffled Yukino's hair.
"Akira! Lacie! You guys did awesome!" Ame sparkled, "And the dress came out great, too!"
"Pfft," Kuro snorted, I glared at him, knowing he was going to bring it up. "I can't believe you kissed that guy."
"Oh shut up, you brat. No ice cream for you."
"Wha—that's not fair!"
"Think next time before you try insulting me."
He gulped at the edge in my voice, nodding. I turned to Akira, eyes narrowed.
"Akira," I whispered. He nodded, bowing before turning away and leaving. I saw Utau's eyes following Akira. "Why are you staring at her?" Her head snapped to me, still glaring.
"That was a girl?" She asked, doubting my words.
"Yes?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "That's my sister. I'm sorry if we got off at a wrong start, my name is Oozora Akira, that was my sister Lacie," I gestured to the kids next to me, who were all talking about the play, "and these brats are, Ame, Zero, Insane, Kuro and Yukino, the brats."
"Quite a large family," she inquired, "I'm—"
"I know who you are."
She raised an eyebrow. I felt a tug on my hand and looked down to see Ame staring at Utau with an awed expression.
"I-is that H-Hoshina U-U-Utau?" She stuttered. I smiled a bit, looking up to see Uta staring at me with a blank expression.
"Yeah, that's her."
"Do you know her?" Ame asked me, a small blush on her face.
"She's Tsukiyomi's sister, the guy I had to kiss? Yeah."
Ame blinked, smirking at me.
"Does she not like you?"
"Yeah, not that I'm not used to people hating me."
I felt something rest on top of my head and Utau spluttered, glaring at me again.
"And why would people hate such a feminine guy?"
I was quiet for a second, grabbing Ame's hand.
"Let's go home, Lacie will be home after he…takes care of some business." They all freeze at my tone. I turned to Ikuto, giving him a blank look. "There are some things that you're better off not knowing." I turned away and lead Ame and the kids back to my room, following me stiffly.
Ikuto and Utau stared at the retreating figures, suspicion rising.
"Do you think he abuses them?" Utau suddenly spoke up. Ikuto's eyes narrowed as he turned to his sister.
"No. Every time he talks about them, he gets a fond look," he retorted, "he obviously loves them."
Her eyes narrowed back at him, "Why are you so defensive?"
"Because you're being rude to him."
"I don't like him! There's something weird about him…"
"You only say that when girl's talk to me."
"Is he gay?"
Ikuto twitched, and that said it all. Utau's eyes widened.
"You let a gay guy kiss you?!" She spat. "You know he could secretly like you?!"
"He doesn't." He snapped back. "He already told me that it was just for the play, besides, he likes somebody back from where he came from." She blinked, relaxing.
"Oh, then I have nothing to worry about."
"You're so weird."
"That guy is weird, seriously, there's something…off about him."
"…I know."
"I do hope you aren't talking about Nii-san behind his back, he doesn't appreciate that kind of action," they both jumped, spinning to see Akira, or 'Lacie', smiling at them, now in uniform.
"Sorry…" Ikuto apologized. Utau just glared at her as if she were a threat.
"Don't worry, Hoshina-san, I have no intentions of trying anything with your brother," Akira informed, Utau crossed her arms, doubting the words.
"Is it true?" Ikuto asked suddenly.
"What is?" Akira responded immediately, raising a delicate eyebrow.
"That you're all adopted?" Utau twitched, suddenly feeling pity. That means.
Akira shrugged, "It's true…in a way. We're family, but at the same time we aren't. Now, excuse me, my siblings await." He bowed, walking past them, leaving one question in their minds.
What the hell did he mean that they are but aren't family?
