Chapter 60
I opened my eyes, wincing at the alluminating light from my clock. It was dark in my room, thank god, blinds closed, curtains (black) shut. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I heard voiced, more than usual, and different as well. I stood up and headed towards the door, opening it and stepping out of my room.
I walked down the stairs, blinking at the bright light, scratching the back of my head.
Suddenly, laughter erupted, making me turn to see the Little Guardians and Ikuto laughing.
At me.
Well, Ikuto was smirking bu—wait, the fuck is he doing here? I'm pretty sure I addressed the letter with the Little Guardians and not Ikuto.
"Nice attire, Oozora," Ikuto commented. I looked down, seeing the boy shorts and all the bandages covering my upper torso and forearms. I shrugged, good thing I was cautious on my way out of my room, hiding my boobs with flames. Jesus…that would've been a disaster.
"I thought you didn't roll that way, Ikuto. No offence, but you aren't my type," I drawled out, yawning. Amu burst out laughing, everyone joining in except Ikuto, who scowled. "What are you all even doing here? Where's A—" I coughed, clearing my throat, that was close, "Lacie and the kids?"
"Well, you invited us for Saturday, as stated in the letter you left us, and Saturday it is. Tsukiyomi ran into us and followed along, curious about why we were going in the 'rich neighborhood' as he calls it," Tadase explained, glaring at Ikuto, who only smirking in return. "Lacie-san—she asked me to call her that to avoid confusion since there are many of you—and you're siblings asked us to watch over the house until you wake up or they came back. Oh, they went to the shopping district, something about…art supplies, I think, and to let your brothers and sisters look around."
I sighed, mulling over the information. I took a glance at everyone. Only now did I realize that Ikuto isn't wearing his uniform. Hawt.
"So what's with the bandages, trying to hide your chest?" Rima asked, snickering as I glared at her. "Are you a cross dresser? I knew you were a girl."
"No," I said sharply, surprising everyone. I had so carefree about the subject—well, if you don't include yesterday with the rose, anyways. "It's none of your business, stay out of it." I walked past them and made my way over the kitchen and paused when I saw Vendi making breakfast, controlling the heavy stuff with white flames. Now that I think about it, he wasn't there when I woke up, this explains it. "What are you doing?" Vendi glanced at me, before look back at the…are those enchiladas?
"Making you breakfast," he responded simply.
"I see that, what I meant was—"
"Kyaa! Her chara appeared!" Yaya squealed loudly. I rubbed my ears.
"Rule number one, inside voices," I ordered, "that means no squealing." She pouted but cooperates.
"Hmm…" Ikuto hummed, a small chara coming out and looked at Vendi up and down.
"You aren't like other charas, you're weird!" It announced, scrunching its nose. Cute. "I'm Yoru."
"You don't seem surprised to see that I have a chara too," Ikuto commented. I snorted.
"I could see them the moment I met you all, I just didn't comment on it, because, again, I've seen weirder."
"I find that hard to believe."
"Sorry, I'm a magnet for trouble. It happens."
"I know. You threw that poor teacher out the window."
"You what?" Amu asked, exasperatedly. I raised my eyebrow at her.
"Correction, I kicked him through the window."
"Oh, right. That was pretty cool, too. You kicked him ten feet away, well, sixteen if you count the extra distance from outside."
I looked over at Vendi who was giving me a look. "Oh, sorry, continue."
Vendi nodded and bowed towards everyone.
"I am Vendi, I reflect…Akira for who he used to be. I reflect his small heart," Vendi explains, putting his small right hand over where his heart would be. "His heart is black, lonely, and sad. But he has dreams, hopes and faith. He believes."
"Shut up, Vendi," I muttered, looking away.
"Why?" Vendi asked, tilting his head to the side. "You're resolve is high and that makes you strong."
"Of course it is," I smirked, looking over at everyone before making my face neutral. "You need to be strong to survive."
"Don't I know it…" was muttered from Amu, Ikuto frowning. I turned around to grab my plate and a fork.
"What's that?" He asked, I looked over at him, he was pointing to my shoulder blade. I sent him a look. "You missed a part, your skin is showing, and there's a thick, lighter skin tone, it's in a diagonal line…" I tensed, making a 'tch' sound.
"Nothing," I responded. "Ignore it."
"No." My eyebrow twitched in irritation.
"It's just an old scar, okay? Leave it be." I walked over to the table, patting Vendi's head lightly in a silent 'thank you' before setting him on my head. I sat down as I reached the table, immediately digging in.
"Aki-kun seems too grown-up to have a chara," Yaya pointed out thoughtfully as I shoved more of the enchiladas in my mouth.
Mmm…enchiladas.
"Yes," Vendi agreed. "But, in reality, he is a child."
"Vendi," I called, a slight edge in my tone.
"Yes?"
"…orange juice please."
"Of course."
"So, what do you want us to do when your siblings get here?" Amu asked, scratching her cheek, a light blush on her cheeks. Why is she blushing?
"Befriend them. I'm surprised you, or your chairman, haven't noticed, but they're being bulling and I hate that I can't do anything about it," I clenched my fist around the fork I was holding, stabbing an enchilada. "I swear, if I see a single scratch on them, I will go kill someone."
Little did they know that I wasn't at all kidding; I will kill someone if they hurt my famiglia.
"Something tells me that you aren't joking," Ikuto commented, though there was a tone to his voice that showed he was joking.
"Definitely," I snorted, eating the last of my food. I suddenly became quite when we heard the front door open an a few voices of "tadaima" rang through our ears, making me freeze in that moment.
Akira would kill me if I wasn't in proper clothing with guests in the house. I put my hands on the table, doing a handstand, twisting myself around before pushing to flip over the group. I made a mad dash for the stairs, running up and slamming the door shut, breathing a sigh of relief.
I went to my closet, pulling some white skinny jeans ("Get on you stupid piece of shi—oh fuck!") without falling over—I swear…okay, fine, I fell over—and a black long sleeved shirt with the word 'BOSS' in red letters. I pulled a purple sleeveless jacket, which did have a hood (whoop) and white string-things and zipper. I put on some black socks and turned to look at myself in the mirror, smirking at the sight.
I make a pretty damn hot male.
'I am totally making Fran do a fashion show for—or with—me…Vongola x Amefurashi Style.'
I went down stairs only to see Akira waiting at the bottom of the stairs, arms crossed, foot tapping and blank face.
Shit. Strike one.
"You weren't wearing clothes, were you?"
Double shit. Strike two.
"Well, you see…."
"Nii-chan …" Akira loomed at me.
Triple shit. Strike three.
I'm dead.
Ahahaha, this was fun writing xD
Another chapter after this, so not much to say. :D
