Chapter 61

I managed to get away with a scolding and a bump to the head since we had guests over, and for that, I gave Akira a big kiss on the cheek (I rather not have to run all over town to avoid his rage). I walked back to the kitchen, scratching the back of my head, sighing and accepting the cup of orange juice that I totally forgot I asked Vendi for.

"You're siblings are cute, they remind me of my family," Amu laughed as she played with Ame.

"Oi," I looked at Ikuto, who called me. "So what's your chara change?" He whispered.

"Hey, Lacie, runts, go to the fun room and start choosing a movie," I ordered.

"Hai~" They chorused. Akira sent me a look before following the kids a few rooms down, I heard the click of a door and turned back to everyone (they were all sitting on the couches like they owned them, bitches).

"Chara change?" I asked, confused, turning to Vendi. "Vendi, didn't you say something like that when we first met?" I sipped on my orange juice.

"Yes," Vendi nodded. "Demonstration?"

I shrugged, taking another gulp of juice before setting the cup down. "Why not?"

"Do it with your dying will, Chara Change!"

Once again, I felt something rest on my head, bandages covering my eyes. Everything changed again, I could even see the little dust particles gathering on a picture frame.

"Hmm…" I hummed, looking around the room. "Interesting…"

"Wait, you can see?" Tadase asked, coming closer. I turned to him, nodding.

"Yes," I answered monotonously, making Amu's eyes widen and take a step back in surprise.

"How exactly does this work?" Ikuto voiced out, throwing his fist back and bringing it back to hit me. I caught his fist, turning around and flipped him over my shoulder. Though I made sure he landed on the couch so I wouldn't hurt him.

I don't have a reason to harm him…yet.

Yeah, I know sooner or later I would have to go against him—against all of them.

"Oozora-kun—" Tadase started.

"Akira. All of you, just call me Akira."

"Eh…Akira-kun, do you wish to know about the Embryo?"

My chara change 'poofed' off, I blinked a few times before nodding.

"Sure. Sounds interesting."

And so he told me, about the egg that can grant any wish.

I knew it belonged to him, but I was curious.

I was curious that if the egg doesn't return to him, maybe it can grant any wish.

Even the wish to be free from all this. To relieve Akira and I from that stupid curse. My hand reached up to my neck, but froze, eyes wide as I stared at Tadase.

"Any wish, no matter what it is?" I asked, voice cracking. He looked alarmed, but nodded.

I stood, face blank. "I am sorry to say, that today onward, I will have to go against you all to get that Embryo, now," I announced.

Ikuto stood, face annoyed and angered, "So that's it? We tell you about it and suddenly you're an enemy?" I nodded, eyes cold as he glared at me.

"I need it more."

"You just learned about it!" Amu shouted, standing up as well.

"After all the stories and snacks we shared…" Yaya started, eyes tearing up, shaking.

"Traitor," Rima spat, hiding behind Amu.

"Just be happy you don't live my life," I turned around, I felt Vendi sit on my head, seeming to somehow know what I'm talking about. "I'm not even supposed to be here."

"What?"

"I may be strong, but I am also weak. I ran…I ran away from my previous home because of the people that were there. I couldn't handle the burden…one day, you will understand as to what it means to see the impossible become possible." I smiled bitterly, turning to them. "You may leave, I know you're all angry for doing this. But…I just want to be free."

Ikuto's eyes widened, because I knew his wish was somewhat the same. He was the first one to leave—out the window, anyways—while the others left through the front door.

Yeah, they'll know, one day.

I can feel it. I can feel that one day, something will happen.

Something is coming.

And it's coming for me.

I officially sleep through every class, Ikuto avoids me now, but I feel like someone else is following me. I have a good idea on who, but I want them to come on their own.

It was while I was out shopping with Akira and the kids when they finally approached me, in disguise to not be recognized.

"Are you Oozora Akira?" She asked, glaring at me. I looked at her for a moment, turning to Akira and pointing at the girl.

"That's Hoshina Utau, Ikuto's sister," I informed, he nodded, smiling at Utau and bowing.

"Nice to meet you, Hoshina-san, our sister is a big fan."

Utau simply looked flabbergasted, staring at me in disbelief and shock.

"H-how did you know?!" She whisper-yelled. I blinked.

"I'm not blind."

"That's not what I meant!" She shouted, catching other people's attention, she quieted down. "I meant, how did you know I was Ikuto's sister…"

I shrugged, "I have my ways."

She glared before getting to the point. "I won't let you get the Embryo."

I smirked, "And who's gonna stop me? You? Miss I'm-a-pretty-popstar?" Her glare intensified.

"Yes, I will."

"I'd like to see you try," Akira interrupted, eyes cold as he looked at Utau straight in the eye.

"You don't know what we're talking about," she snapped back.

"What makes you think I don't?" Akira retorted. Utau eyes narrowed, glaring at me before turning on her heel and stalking off.

"I don't like her," Akira commented. I chuckled.

"Neither do I."

The kids came back from the ice cream cart, telling us that they had my favorite flavor.

"TO THE ICE CREAM CART!"

And away to the cart we went.

I sniffed the air.

I smell an egg.

A rotten egg.

God, I have like this huge plot twist planned for you guys.

And I'm hoping you love it. XD

One more for the quad-update, yeah?
