I own nothing

The Titans left the arena once the crowds had vanished. Gohan followed behind Starfire angrily, still wanting to speak to her about her actions. "Starfire," he said. She picked up her pace, as did Gohan. "Starfire," he said a little sharper. She walked even faster. "Starfire! Wait!"

Starfire fazed out. Gohan growled in anger and clenched his fists. "Man, she wants to be left alone," Cyborg said. "Just let her be-" Gohan vanished after her. Gohan saw her long red hair turn a street

corner. He followed her into an alleyway and found no one. He looked up, seeing a streak of green energy.

"Starfire!" he shouted, bursting into the air. "I just want to talk to you!" He closed his eyes, not being able to sense her energy at all. "What is up with you?!" He followed her trail of chi, chasing her all over the island. She stopped above the hotel roof. Gohan smirked. He rushed forward and swiped at her shoulder, passing right through it. Gohan heard her giggle but didn't know where. Her trail of chi presented itself once again, leading him down to the hotel lobby. He stopped and desperately looked around, not seeing her or her trail. He heard her giggle again, cutting through the rest of the noise like a knife through butter. He followed the sound up the stairs, seeing more of her as he went along. "Starfire!" he said again, following her down the hallway they stayed in. Her saw her hair vanish into his room and heard the door lock. "How did you get into my room?!" he asked, knocking on the door. "Starfire! Let me in right now!"

Starfire let out an ominous laugh. The door unlocked and slowly creaked open. The room's shades were closed and the lights were off. Gohan slowly walked in, feeling an intense chill in the air. The air conditioner was off.

"Starfire," Gohan said, "I don't know what's going on, but I'm here to help you through it in any way possible." He walked over to his bed and became even more angry. All of his belongings had been thrown about and his drawers opened and rummaged through. A large, white "M" had been scratched onto the television screen. "Starfire, where-"

The door slammed shut. He turned around, and there she stood, grinning wickedly at him. A black "M" appeared on her forehead, making him gasp.

"Not you too, Starfire!" Gohan said, reluctantly bending into a fighting stance against someone he didn't ever want to fight.

Starfire lunged. Gohan dodged and Starfire fazed out, tackling him onto the bed. She sat on top of him and pinned his arms to the bed. "Hello, Gohan," she said sultrily.

"Starfire!" Gohan said, trying to break out of her grip. "What is your-"

Starfire leaned forward and down, forcefully kissing him. Gohan blushed and rolled over, pinning her down. She started laughing again. "Come to me, boy," she said, breaking out of his grip and forcing her tongue into his mouth. Starfire wrapped her arms around Gohan's back and drew him closer, furiously making out with him.

Gohan growled again and slipped out of her grip, twisting her arm and pinning her to the bed. "This isn't appropriate! You need to stop this!"

"Do you really want me to stop?" Starfire said. "We've wanted each other all time! What's the matter, Gohan? Are you scared?"

"It's that thing on your forehead," Gohan said. "You're being possessed, Starfire!"

"And it feels wonderful!" she exclaimed. She broke out of his grip again and turned the tables, this time pinning him to the wall. She kissed him again, engaging him in a vicious tongue duel where she was the only attacker. Gohan pushed her away. "Don't you love me?" Starfire shouted.

"I love you, not whatever is making you do this!" Gohan said. "Can't you see, Starfire? You're being played! You're just a pawn in someone's game!" Gohan grabbed her hand and fazed out, reappearing in the bathroom. "Can't you see?"

Starfire punched through the glass mirror. "I love it when you're desperate," she said, tearing apart his shirt. "I've been waiting to tear you apart ever since you came back from Slade."

"No, you haven't," Gohan said. "No! You haven't!" He spiked his aura. "This isn't you!"

"Then who am I?" Starfire asked, slowly approaching him.

"Not the girl I met," Gohan said. "Come out and fight me yourself, demon."

"Gohan, you fool," she said, tracing her fingers up his chest, each touch sending a chill up Gohan's spine. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up again. She drew him in again for another kiss. Starfire's face went right through Gohan's. "I love this game!" she exclaimed, flying out of the bathroom and out of the open window. She followed Gohan's afterimages until she cornered him on the beach. "What's the matter, Gohan?" Starfire said, her eyes turning green. "Are you scared of playing a contact sport?" She rushed toward him and lunged. Gohan slid underneath and burst off into the air again.

"Mister Piccolo!" Gohan exclaimed in his mind.

"I told you to speak to me first!" Piccolo said.

"I'm sorry," Gohan said, "I-"

"Just don't do it again," Piccolo said sharply. "DODGE!" he said out loud, reappearing in front of Gohan.

Gohan did a barrel roll, missing Piccolo as he surprise attacked the Tamaranean. The two aliens clashed in midair with Piccolo on the offensive, driving Starfire back. "Are you trying to stop me, Namekian?" Starfire asked.

"No," Piccolo said, "I'm showing you interpretive dance."

"Sarcasm does not amuse me," Starfire said.

"Sorry," Piccolo said, annoying her even more.

"No wonder Gohan went out with Kitten," Starfire said. "He likes to see girls fighting over him."

Piccolo caught her arm in a hold. "Gohan! Do it now!"

Gohan fazed out, reappearing at her side with his leg cocked back. "Sorry, Starfire!" he said, kicking her in the head. She fell unconscious and Gohan caught her.

"Follow me," Piccolo said.

Gohan followed Piccolo through the sky and out over the water. "What's happened to her?"

"The Ma-Djinn sign is about to enter the third stage," Piccolo said. "Its first is the incubation where it feeds on your fighting spirit; it then progresses into its second stage. The mood becomes more polar and the chi field becomes distorted; all of her emotions including love, rage, and hate are flared to their most extreme in their physical form, which is what we saw today. In the third stage, she starts to pursue her darkest desires and once she achieves them, she'll be consumed by the demon."

"What can we do?" he asked.

"I had been saving a technique that I never wanted to use," Piccolo said. "My other half, Kami, invented it and tried it on me. Your father would know it too."

"What is it, Mister Piccolo?" Gohan asked.

"The Evil Containment Wave," Piccolo said gravely. "When your father was your age, he signed up for the World Tournament. I competed for the first time there with the plan of taking over the Earth. My other half came to stop me and when he tried to use it, I swallowed him, thus learning the technique. It allows you to dispel and contain evil. All we need now is a container."

"I have one," Gohan said, "but what are we going to do with it once it is contained?"

"Keep it," Piccolo said, "keep it in the tightest vault you can find. It must stay in the container."

"Right," Gohan said. "I'll be right back." He flew back to the hotel room and grabbed the microwave on the small counter. He unplugged it and flew out the window again. "Will this work?"

"Wow," Piccolo said.

"It was the only thing I had," Gohan said. "I couldn't-"

"No, it's not that," Piccolo said. "I wish they tried locking me up in something that nice."

"What did they try to put you in?" Gohan asked.

"An electric rice cooker," Piccolo said. "Not even a good one; it was one of those five dollar ones from the Cracker Barrel but that's neither here nor there. Open the microwave door and repeat after me, but not until I tell you too."

Gohan nodded.

"Ad quos eieci te malum," Piccolo and Gohan's auras turned white. Starfire's turned black. "non ubi ortum erat, sed ad hoc, quod erit vestri parvum fluctus continens in aeternum." The microwave started to glow. Starfire's skin started to bubble and her mouth opened wide. The black "M" on her forehead turned bright red; something dark with a deep voice screamed from inside of her as her throat bulged. "Nec spiritus nemo aperit, ne maledictum volunt ferre Daemonis!" Piccolo exclaimed. Starfire started to thrash about with her eyes still in the back of her head. "Gohan!"

Gohan repeated the Latin phrase over and over again, feeling an immensely dark force slowly leaving Starfire by her throat. The microwave started glowing and the disk in the center started turning despite not even being plugged in. One more ear piercing screech and the demon was expelled, hitting the microwave with enough force to knock Gohan back thirty feet. Gohan slammed it shut and wrapped his arms around it, holding the thrashing beast inside it from breaking out.

"Egredere ex corpore et anima est inanimatum!" Piccolo shouted, firing a white beam of energy at the microwave.

The beast stopped resisting. Gohan looked inside, seeing a skinny, lanky, gum-like being with small holes riddling its torso and arms. It wore white, baggy pants and had glowing red pupils in two black pits. On its head was a flaccid extension of the skin tissue, ending in a small point. It sat with its arms folded and it stuck its tongue out at Gohan.

"Now," Piccolo panted, slowly descending to the ground. "Nothing can open it, nothing can damage that microwave; it's invincible." He landed on his feet and sat down, breathing extremely hard.

"Are you alright, Mister Piccolo?" Gohan asked.

"I will be," Piccolo said, "but now that you know the incantation, I must warn you: only use it once. If you try to use it twice in a row, you will die. It takes two days to recharge, if you survive using it the first time."

"Meaning," Gohan said, "no using it right off the bat."

"Yeah," Piccolo said. "If you don't believe me, you can ask Tien. He specializes in all things that exert you until death."

Starfire's eyes flew wide open. She sat up in Piccolo's lap, gasping for breath. "It was awful," Starfire said, shaking. "I could see what was going on but it was like I was watching myself through a window; I knew what I was saying and I couldn't stop myself! I need to find Miss Martian and apologize!" She stood up and turned to Gohan. "Oh my Klurblarg," she quivered, "Gohan, I can't even express enough-"

"Starfire," Gohan said calmly. "It's alright. We took care of the demon."

Starfire ran to give him a hug but stopped, thinking that affection like that was the last thing he wanted. Gohan stepped forward and hugged her tenderly. Her eyes widened at his sudden advance. She pushed away from him and looked him in the eyes, seeing the concern for her in them. "Gohan," she said softly. "I-"

"You do not need to speak," Gohan said, slowly drawing her in.

"Starfire! Gohan!" Robin shouted from down the street, interrupting their moment with the rest of the Titans. "What happened? Everyone on the island felt that just now!"

They let go of each other and Starfire burst into the sky to make amends to Miss Martian. "She contracted the Ma-Djinn demon," Gohan said. "We used the Evil Containment Wave to seal it away."

"Where is it?" Raven asked, walking over to the microwave. "In here?" She saw the demon and scowled. "Filthy rat; Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" she said, opening a portal to a purgatory dimension. She chucked it inside, leaving it to spin endlessly between the fibers of space and time.

"So is that it?" Beast Boy asked. "Did you just banish it?'

"Yes," Piccolo said weakly, "but that is not the only one. It multiplies every time it senses a new victim. They all collaborate, knowing when to split and who to infect."

"Like Quorum Sensing?" Beast Boy asked. "That's actually kinda cool. Giant bacteria," he giggled. "We've worked all this time for-"

"The only way to get rid of it is by killing the host or using the Evil Containment Wave," Piccolo said. "We went with the latter; neither I nor Gohan will be able to use it for the next two days."

"What?" Gohan said. "I thought it was just the user!"

"Everyone who is involved," Piccolo said, "even Starfire, uses some of her energy into the wave. It doesn't matter if you cast it or held the recipient: everyone has to give."

"What if someone is infected at the tournament?" Robin asked. "We can't just kill them outright! Despite what Starfire would have done, I would never have-"

"If the Ma-Djinn demon had advanced into its final stage," Piccolo said, standing up, "she would have killed you."

The Titans stared at Piccolo, shocked. "No," Beast Boy said. "Starfire would never kill any of us."

"It wouldn't be her doing the killing," Raven said. "Remember, she is just a vessel for it."

"But still," Cyborg said softly, "it is pretty scary to think about a fight to the death between you and a friend."

"This should only motivate us more," Robin said. "We have to stop that thing and the Master at all costs."

"I'm going to go check on Starfire," Gohan said, taking off into the air. He could sense her again to his relief and flew across the island.

"Mister Piccolo," Raven said, "teach me the incantation."

"I cannot right now," Piccolo said. "Neither Gohan nor I have the power to even write in down. Any expression of the incantation is just like casting the spell. Even using it once may kill you, and if there will be a sacrifice, it-"

"Will be me," Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, and Raven said simultaneously.

"No," Piccolo said. "I can come back with Kami's influence for a while. Enma owes me a favor. In the meantime, you must save the Dragonballs and use them only when something irreversible happens. If I die, I can just spit out an egg-"

"You lay eggs?!" Beast Boy exclaimed. "Holy crap, dude! That's amazing-"

"Shut up!" Piccolo barked. He cleared his throat. "The point is that I can come back. You guys can't."

"Then how do we fight them?" Robin asked.

"Knock them out," Piccolo said. "They can be taken out in the same way we can." Piccolo turned around, walking away. "Oh, one more thing," he said, looking back at the young warriors. "Do not hold back. They will destroy you." He disappeared.

The four Titans flew into the air, heading toward the beaches where Gohan and Starfire's energies were. They landed on the sands, watching Starfire wrap Miss Martian in a third bear hug. "S-starfire! I already told you that I forgive you! Please let go!"

Starfire let go. "Do you really mean it?"

"Yes!" Miss Martian said.

"Oh, thank you!" Starfire said, wrapping her in another hug.

Gohan and the rest of the Titans stood next to her, facing the members of Young Justice who decided to stay even after they lost. Superboy and Wonder Girl stood on either side of Miss Martian. Wonder Girl grinned at Gohan, flashing her brilliant smile. Superboy stared at Starfire with intent, something that Gohan was taking notice of.

"Oh, great," Tien said, watching them silently stare at each other forty feet away; he and Pantha were out sunbathing at her request.

"You think they are going to fight?" Pantha said.

"Gohan and Superboy might," Krillin said, training with Yamcha and Chiaotzu. "Superboy's been staring at her all day."

"I can't really blame him," Roshi chuckled.

"Pervert," Piccolo muttered, meditating above the ground

"I'm hoping they do," Vegeta said. "I am getting bored."

"You can train with us," Krillin said, "just don't try to kill us, you know?"

"Namek, we're sparring," Vegeta stated.

"No," Piccolo said, trying to concentrate.

"I said we're sparring," Vegeta said sternly.

"No," Piccolo said bluntly.

"Right now," Vegeta ordered.

"No," Piccolo said.

"Namek! If you-"

"No," Piccolo said.

"Get up this-"

"No."

"You will sp-"

"No."

"Look, you, we are-"

"No."

"But I-"

"No."

Vegeta smirked. "Don't spar-"

"Okay," Piccolo said, making Vegeta growl in anger.

Tien and Pantha continued to watch the Titans and Young Justice's silent showdown. Beast Boy broke the silence. "What are we standing here for? We're supers, so let's have some fun until the Titans have to kick your asses."

"That's not going to happen!" Superboy shouted right in Gohan's face.

"Please get out of my face," Gohan said.

"What's the matter?" Superboy asked. "Are you scared?"

"Leave him alone," Wonder Girl ordered.

"No," Gohan said.

"Then what is it, punk?" Superboy goaded.

"Your breath stinks," Gohan said, making the other Titans and some members of Young Justice laugh. "I have some toothpaste if you want to use it."

"Oh, screw you," Superboy said. "You didn't want to fight me."

"I can't wait to fight you, actually," Gohan said calmly, angering the arrogant Kryptonian even more. "I can't wait to rattle-"

"That's enough, Gohan," Robin said.

Gohan stepped back, being the adult. "We'll meet soon enough." He turned around. "I'm going to get some dinner. Do any of you wish to join me?"

He felt sand hit the back of his legs. "Superboy!" Supergirl exclaimed. "Why would you do that?"

"Apologize," Batgirl ordered. "Right now."

Gohan laughed, creeping everyone out with the way it sent a chill down their spines. "You're funny, Superboy."

"What's that suppose to mean?" Superboy growled.

The sand kicked onto Gohan's pants swirled off of them and formed into a long, thin dragon that wrapped around Gohan's arm. "Don't wake a sleeping dragon." He started walking away. "Seriously though, if anybody wants to do dinner, I'm up for it. I can cover someone this time."

"I'll go!" Wonder Girl said cheerily.

"As will I," Starfire said. Wonder Girl shot her a glare.

"Well," Beast Boy said. "Let's all go!"

"I heard there's this great karaoke place on Seventh," Kid Flash said.

"Karaoke?" Starfire said. "What is this 'karaoke' you speak of?"

"You get to sing along to your favorite songs in a restaurant," Gohan said. "It's pretty bor-"

"Can we do it?!" Starfire said excitedly. "Can we, please?!"

"Oh, alright," Gohan said, "but I am not singing."

"Are you kidding?" Trunks' voice said from above. "Hearing the great Android-Slayer sing 'Don't Stop Believing' is an opportunity I cannot miss."

Gohan looked up, seeing Trunks and Blackfire in their normal clothing drenched from their heads to their waists. "Hey, Trunks! Why are you wet?"

"We took a splash fight a bit too far," Blackfire said. "It started with Trunks 'accidentally' pushing me into the water."

"It was an accident and you know it!" Trunks said.

"Who accidentally shoves someone into a crashing wave?" Blackfire said.

They started arguing, not coming to a resolution until they reached the extremely busy restaurant. It was a fairly-sized rock and roll themed building, with real guitars, drum sticks, and plaques hung all around the restaurant on the walls. Near the back of the restaurant between the doors to the kitchen on the right and the bathroom to the left was a concert stage with three guitars, a bass, a piano, a drum set, and two microphones plugged into state-of-the-art amplifiers. Several karaoke machines were lined up near the edge of the stage. The party of sixteen walked into the restaurant, greeted by a waitress. "Hello!" she said enthusiastically. "How many in your party?"

"Sixteen," Gohan said.

"We have one opening up right now!" she said. "Right this way!"

The supers followed her down a small flight of steps to a large, round table near the center of the restaurant just thirty feet away from the stage. A group of rugged locals hopped off the stage after they sang "Welcome to the Jungle" in Spanish. "There you have it, folks!" an announcing voice very familiar to the supers said. "Another great performance! Who's next?"

"Is that the tournament announcer?" Wonder Girl asked.

"He must really like his job," Batgirl said, taking a seat. Gohan and Superboy sat on either side of Starfire with Wonder Girl sitting next to Gohan. That prompted the others to mix as well, blending the two teams into one super force.

"I'm Tammy," the waitress said, "I'll be back in a minute to take your full order, but what can I get you to drink?"

Everyone shouted their order at once. "Six Cokes," Robin said, "four waters, three sprites, two root beers, and a pineapple coconut smoothie."

"The smoothie's for me," Kid Flash said giddily.

"Alright," the waitress said. "I'll be back soon, but in the meantime, feel free to participate in full band karaoke. Eight people max to sing, and we have songs in all languages, including theme songs."

"What about our theme song?" Beast Boy asked.

"The Teen Titans theme song?" she said.

"We have a theme song?!" Gohan exclaimed.

"Yeah, baby!" Cyborg exclaimed. He jumped onto the stage with Beast Boy and Starfire.

Blackfire grabbed Trunks' hand, pulling him up on stage. "Gohan! We need a keyboard player!: Beast Boy exclaimed. "Robin! Lend me your axe!"

"Are you going to go?" Gohan asked Robin.

"Yeah, might as well," Robin said, walking to the stage.

"Raven!" Beast Boy said. "I've heard you shred on a bass in your room! We need you!"

Raven rolled her eyes and slowly flew to the stage, grabbing the bass guitar. The Tamaranean girls grabbed the other two guitars and Trunks sat at the drum set. Gohan sat on the piano stool, warming up with some Mozart. Trunks played some super fast fill-ins on the drum set, surprising Gohan and Blackfire. "I didn't know you played drums, Trunks," Blackfire said.

"I didn't know you played guitar," Trunks said. "I play a little myself, actually."

"Come to my room," Blackfire said. "We can make music anytime you want."

"The rules are simple," the announcer said, "just press the keys, frets, or drums as they light up. Some times, all the keys will light up and you guys get to just go crazy! Every person will get a chance to sing. Pick your song now!"

Beast Boy scrolled through one of the set lists on the karaoke machine until he found the Teen Titans theme song in English.

"Are you ready?" the announcer asked. "Trunks, please give us a four count!"

Trunks tapped his sticks together. "One, two, one, two, three, four!"

Gohan played synthesized chords in a quick rhythm followed by a drum fill by Trunks into the intro. The band started playing, the guitars harmonizing and the bass keeping the melody and beat. Beast Boy's microphone lit up first. "When there's trouble you know who to call," Beast Boy sang like Jim Adkins, "Teen Titans! From their tower they can see it all, Teen Titans! When there's evil on the attack,"

"You can rest knowing they got your back," Cyborg continued, sounding like a mixture of Stevie Wonder's smooth voice and James Brown's grit, "'cause when the world needs heroes on patrol..." The music stopped. "Teen Titans! Go!" The guitars played a quick riff with Robin improvising over into the next verse. "With their super powers they unite," Cyborg sang, "Teen Titans!"

"Never met a villain that they liked," Blackfire continued, her voice sounding like Mariah Carey's. "Teen Titans! They've got the bad guys on the run, they never stop till the job gets done, 'cause when the world is losing all control..."

"Teen Titans! Go!" Trunks exclaimed, playing a fill-in under the main riff with the Tamaraneans. "Teen Titans! Go!" He wowed the crowd with another impressive improvised fill-in before the bridge: "If your heart is black then you better watch out!" Trunks sang like David Draiman, Robin playing a quick improvisation. "You can not escape the team!" Raven traveled up the neck, shocking Beast Boy with her hidden talent even if it was only for three seconds. "When they catch you there won't be any doubt," Trunks continued, the Tamaraneans playing a harmonized fill-in over another bass fill-in.

"You've been beaten by the teens," Starfire sang like Ariana Grande as Gohan's notes grew louder and added a baroque flare to his fills. "Beaten by the teens!" Raven brought the band into the chorus with a crescendo of the bass. The drums, guitars raking the pick across the string, and Starfire were the only ones playing. "T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, Teen Titans, let's go! T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S-"

"Teen Titans, let's go!" Raven continued in her usual stoic voice. The piano and bass slid back into the chorus as Robin played a variation of the main riff under it. "T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, Teen Titans, let's Go! T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, Teen Titans, let's go!"

Blackfire and Starfire started soloing in a battle style, each responding to the last play and trying to outdo the other in a display of technical skill that shocked everyone in the restaurant. After a minute or so they settled down to long chords and the occasional fill-in from Robin for Gohan's vocal solo. "When there's trouble you know who to call," he sang, his voice sounding like Frank Sinatra. "Teen Titans! From their tower they can see it all..." Wonder Girl and Starfire sighed at his voice. "Teen Titans!" The loud instrumentation started in again. "When there's evil on the attack,"

"You can rest knowing we got your back," Robin sang like Billie Joe Armstrong, "'cause when the world needs heroes on patrol..." The music stopped again. "Teen Titans go!" The guitarists played the main riff again over drum fills. "Teen Titans go!" They played the main riff again.

"One!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

"Two!" Starfire exclaimed.

"Three," Raven said.

"Four!" Cyborg exclaimed.

"Go!" Robin shouted.

The music stopped. "Teen Titans!" everyone on stage shouted, making the restaurant roar with applause.

"We should totally do an encore, dudes!" Beast Boy said. "Cy! Let's do Soul Man!"

Cyborg teared up. "Do you know how long I have been waiting for you to ask me to play that?"

"Too long," Beast Boy said, crying as well. "Too long!" He scrolled through the list again. "Hit it, Cy!"

The other Titans walked off stage and back to their seats, feeling happy and refreshed. They would need it; Starfire might have been dangerous, but she was the least they would have to worry about. The morning would come soon enough.

What do you guys think about that? This was also my first karaoke scene in this series, so tell me what you thought please. :D
