Chapter 15 - Progress

"I'm going to summon Wilson," I tell Laxus.

"No," the man puts his hand over mind to stop me from making the typical summoning motion.

"Why?" I squint at him.

"He's really weak-" he tried again.

"He is my spirit now!" I rip my hand away, "Besides, we can train him."

"I already tried that."

"Really?" Laxus was getting my worst death glare. "Do you know how many people tried to help train me after you left?" he shakes his head, "the entire guild tried, and no one could make me stronger, not my spirits, no body. I gave up hope, and so did everyone else," I pause, "Then Acnologia attacked and I found a reason to be stronger, to become the mage that would lead an entire country to safety." My eyes find the key in my hand, "All he needs is a responsibility to train for."

I gentle push the key into it's invisible lock and chant softly, "Open the gate of the Dragon, Draco."

Neither Laxus, or I expected the size of the Dragon before us. His scales are twice as big as my head and his shimmering eyes are nearly as tall as I am.

"Wilson?" I ask, my voice quivering. Did I call the wrong spirit? I wonder if this has ever happened before? Oh what in Earthland have I done?!

"It is I," his voice...it blew Laxus and I out of the cave. Wilson followed us out. "I'm sorry," his voice was no longer soft like the Wilson from Earthland; this voice challenged Acnologia's.

"It's okay," I am the first of us to talk, standing up from the ground to pet his bowed head. My eyes graze over the cave. It wasn't as big as I thought it was, and it certainly wasn't shelter anymore. "Um, we need to find a place to sleep."

"Sorry," Wilson continues to say this until we found a cave big enough for two humans and a Dragon.

"It's okay, Wilson," it's not your fault you are so big.

"Whose fault is it?"

"I would like to say Laxus, but it was probably mine."

"How?"

"You see, when a spirit is amongst humans for a long time, they grow very weak. You, however, weren't, but you weren't in the Dragon World which I suppose would drain your energy less quickly."

"And how is that your fault?"

"I haven't got to that part yet," I yawn, "You see spirits reflect their master's strength. For you to be so powerful, must mean I must be powerful too." I yawn again, time for sleep!

"Princess!" Virgo's voice in my head wakes me.

"Virgo?" I look around to find two Dragons and two blonde men.

"It's Wilson; he's draining your power!"

"Oh, draining my power? No, Wilson wouldn't do that."

"Princess, please hurry!"

White light surrounds me as I fall asleep, I feel Wilson disappear into the Spirit World. THe next morning I wake up to the bright sun that I never knew the Dragon World had.

"You're alive," Laxus pokes at me to make sure it was true.

"Yes I am, Wilson just takes a lot of power to summon."

"So you aren't as powerful as you thought you were."

"I guess not, but that can change. All I need to do is train, so we can summon him to fight Acnologia and rule over the Dragon World."

"You think that it's going to be that easy?"

"No, but keeping a good attitude about it will."
