Chapter 41

Leonard was sitting on a park bench looking out at a field of grass in front of him, amazed at all the color he was seeing in that field of green. That color was from the two sundresses the girls in front of him were wearing while they danced in a circle before him holding each others hands as they went around and around in their dance. The little one kept going from just smiling to giggling as she danced around, the pure innocent fun she was having, so obvious on her face it made a smile naturally form on Leonard's face. While the taller girl was smiling so large, Leonard though her face must hurt, but that smile was so genuine and loving it made Leonard want to cry.

They were the two most beautiful girls he had ever seen, and he just knew they were the most amazing creatures to walk his earth, but when they both turned to smile at him it made him feel so happy, more than he could have ever imagined in his life. So even when they turned to look at each other again and laugh, their smiles still left a warmth in Leonard, a feeling of joy and contentment, that these two such amazing girls had blessed him by letting him share their lives. The tall girl was Penny and although he had never seen the shorter girl before, Leonard knew in his heart she was their daughter.

He never wanted to leave that park bench, but suddenly the girls images shimmered then disappeared and it made him feel panic, although that panic was quickly dulled by the warm feeling of being caressed and the gentle calling of his name. So when his eyes started to flutter open and his mind began to again join the world of the awake, he felt Penny nuzzling his neck whispering, 'Leonard, Sweetie, time to get up'.

"Penny?" the first words from his mouth as he left the dream world behind.

Penny stopped kissing Leonard's neck and moved herself up so she could look at him. "Honey, you need to get up and get ready."

Leonard was still a little confused, still fighting through the fog of waking up, "What happened?"

Penny giggled, "You are a sleepy head, but I couldn't wake you till now, because you had the most adorable smile on your face." the love in her eyes as she looked at him made Leonard's dream come back to him and for a short moment his eyes darted around looking for the little girl that he just knew had to be there with them.

However Penny noticed his searching eyes too and her smile changed to one of concern, "Something wrong Sweetie."

Leonard's eyes shot back to hers, the cold reality of it being only a dream becoming evident to him as he completely woke up, along with the disappointment of understanding that the little girl was not real. However, even that knowledge did not comfort him because that dream had seemed so real, the little girl herself seeming so alive to him, just as alive as Penny was now as she laid with him. That realization 'that it all was a dream' actually made Leonard feel a sense of loss that he couldn't explain and a yearning that their daughter was with them at that moment. He wanted to tell the beautiful woman that was looking at him about his dream, about the beautiful child that was theirs, but he knew almost immediately he never would, so he forced a smile on his face to hide his regret, "Umm, why are you up so early?" he redirected his thoughts and the conversation.

Penny now thought he was just surprised at her being up, not knowing of his distraction, so smiled again as she began to tease. "The real question is why are you still in bed, Mister. You know it is 9 AM." she giggled.

Now being fully awake, Leonard was a first surprised it was so late, they had been going to bed at 10 PM and getting up at 6 AM every day for the last several weeks so it being 9 AM now confused him. Until his mind went back to the events of last night, "Now that I remember, I didn't get to sleep till very late last night."

Penny's smile faded a little, "Sorry about that, but I needed to talk to you."

Leonard smiled, now remembering their conversation completely, "I understand and I'm glad you did." They had talked about their future and Penny told him her hopes and dreams for them, it had actually made him really feel good that she was looking happily to the future again. The last few months had been hard on her but she was now recovering and although he did feel a slight comfort in her needing him, he was really happy to have the strong independent Penny he fell in love with coming slowly back. There was one item she wanted in her future that now came back to him, she wanted to have children, that made him now rationalize that his dream about their daughter was because of the words she said that night. That reasoning made Leonard feel slightly better and now comfortably awake, he scooted himself up in the bed until he was sitting with his back was against the headboard. It was then he got a good look at Penny and for the first time upon her waking him, seeing Penny had her robe over her pajamas. "How long have you been up?"

Penny looked sheepishly at him, "Since 6 AM."

"6 AM!" Leonard was really surprised, Penny had always been the one who was hard to get out of bed, since the first time he met her. "But that means you only had a couple of hours sleep."

Penny nodded, "I was excited, so I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep."

Leonard looked at her a second, "You miss the girls don't you."

Penny nodded, "I love you Sweetie, but….."

Leonard smiled, "You need your girlfriends to talk girl stuff with, especially since your wedding is only a few days away." he finished for her.

Penny smiled and nodded, "They are my friends and I miss them, especially now."

Leonard smiled a little more, the effect of Penny healing had been her acting more herself the last few weeks, and with her returning to the Penny he knew before everything had happened, her friends were now again an important part of her life. It made everything before now seem like a bad dream and he was so happy things were back to the way they were, because he knew he loved her and would always love her. He also knew he would rather be with her than without her, no matter what happened between them, it was a little pathetic but that was just the way it was and if being a little pathetic meant he was happy, then so be it. "I guess I better get up then if we are going to get them then."

"That was the idea when I woke you up." Penny teased.

"And here I thought you were trying to get in my pants." Leonard chuckled, teasing her like he use to before.

However Penny's smile dropped and she started to bite her lip, then to Leonard's surprise she got on top of him, her hips on his, leaning over to kiss him fully on his lips. Penny had been struggling the last week, the ways they held, touched and caressed each other, before giving her comfort now were making her body crave him and leaving a desire in her unfilled. So her kiss quickly became deep and it was several minutes before Penny sat back up again to look at him with eyes so dilated they looked black.

"Leonard, I'm ready." She whispered, "I want you to make love to me again."

They had already talked about waiting to make love again till on their wedding night, but the way she was looking at him now, he knew she was suggesting sooner than that, but he was still a little afraid of hurting her. That thought of hurting her, even though the doctor said she was okay, was still prominent in his mind and that fear overpowered any need he had or the look she was now giving him. "Penny, you know I want to but didn't we agree to wait till our wedding night to make it special."

Penny nodded, she was disappointed and a little frustrated too, on one hand she knew it would be so special if they waited, but on the other hand, she had been wanting him again for a while now and it had recently become hard for her not to lust over him every minute of every day. But she gave in to his reasoning, "Okay Sweetie, but just so you know, I'm a little bit horny for you, so it might make it a little hard on me to wait till this weekend." She said softly and a little bit seductively.

Leonard swallowed, even after all this time he always still couldn't believe she wanted to be with him, much less that she wanted to marry him so badly. So her wanting him so desperately, sexually, also was really hard for him to comprehend sometimes, it made him feel like the luckiest man on earth to have the most wonderful woman in the world. "Okay." he squeaked out, it making a smile reform on Penny's face.

Leonard's response only made him look cuter to Penny, which fueled her still present desire making her now want him even more. So with barely any thought about it she grinded her hips on his crotch for a few seconds to see if his resolve would crumble. "You sure you don't want a little quickie before you get up." she cooed to him again licking her lips instinctively again. She then grinded her hips on him again a little harder to push her point and it took only a second for her to realize what a big mistake that had been, for her not him, as the moan left her lips and a shiver went through her body.

Leonard was also loosing his battle to resist her, she had already had him aroused and her now constant movement over him was pure torture. The expression on her face only made it worse, her dilated eyes and a look that was obvious desire, made him almost helpless to the pleading look she was giving him. Only the fear of hurting her was preventing him from doing anything about their current situation. "Penny we said no sex till our wedding night." he said softly to her, the tone of his response not as convincing as before.

However Penny had gone too far already, weeks of reawaking physical/sexual feelings for Leonard were now becoming too much for her. She wanted him and needed him to be intimate with her as much as she needed to be intimate with him. Penny leaned towards him again to kiss him again, the kiss becoming very intense both emotionally and physically for her as it was for him. The whole time Penny couldn't stop her grinding on him, she was so turned on now she couldn't stop as she held his face in her hands with her lips pressed hard on his.

Their kiss slowly ended and Leonard looked at Penny and knew if he didn't stop this now he wouldn't be able to later, his mind so concerned about penetrating her and causing her harm. "Penny we need to wait, like we agreed, no intercourse until our wedding night." His response now pleading with her.

However Penny wanted so badly to be physically loved by Leonard, that stopping was not even an option for her now. She wanted to kiss and make out with Leonard, she wanted to feel his hands on her and she wanted to touch him, if she couldn't have intercourse she still wanted everything else. So she just leaned in and kissed him again, crushing her mouth against his while she ran her hands though his hair. She could feel him underneath her, her thin pajamas and thin cotton panties barely masking any of the feeling of his hard manhood under his thin pajamas and boxers. So she instinctively did something she had not done since she was a teenager, she started to hump her fiancé while she made out with him.

Penny's passion was so intense that Leonard became lost in it, their mouths fully open while they kissed, their tongues straining to maintain contact with each other. They then just remained like that until after a very short time Penny regained her senses and pulled herself closer to her fiancé. It was well over ten minutes later before they even said a word, both basking in the warmth of each other, being there so close and in each others arms, so it took Penny's mother yelling up to ask if they were up yet to finally break the spell that had settled around them.

"Yes mom, we're up." Penny barely was able to yell back, while still pressed close to Leonard. She could actually feel the small chuckle Leonard made at her response while he held her against him.

"I guess we now really need to get up." he said with another chuckle.

Penny just pulled herself a little tighter to him, "I could stay like this forever."

Leonard gave her a little squeeze, "Yeah, I know what you mean, but you were the one that told me I needed to get up so we could get your girlfriends, who you missed so badly." he teased.

Penny nodded, but did not let go of him, "Yeah but now my priorities have changed." Again feeling Leonard chuckle at her response.

With a sigh, she moved off his shoulder till she could look at him again, unable to stop herself from kissing him when she saw his handsome and cute face. Then sighing when that kiss ended, the urge to just lie in bed with him for a few hours now dominating her thoughts, but her mind then conceding that could not happen when she remembered there would be no one to pick up their friends if they did leave soon. It was also the first time she noticed the dampness between them, so with sad acceptance she looked at him, "I guess we need to get a shower."

Leonard nodded, "Well so much for no sex before the wedding." he said while he smiled at her.

Penny gave him a semi serious look, "Well that really didn't count, because we still had our pajamas on, so you still owe me mister and after this, I definitely plan on collecting."

Leonard chuckled, "Okay, I owe you." he responded, the hint of doubt about hurting her again entering his thoughts but keeping those thoughts to himself.

"Okay good." she responded with conviction, but then looked at him sheepishly, "Sweetie can you help me to the bathroom, I'm not exactly back to normal yet."

Leonard for a split second was worried until he saw the blush on her face, making him understand and smile at her. "Okay, I can do that." Surprisingly he did have to help her a little till she got the steadiness back into her legs. Both of them finally getting in the shower that morning and barely able to concentrate as they bathed each other, only the need to get their friends making them refrain from continuing what they had done in their bed just about 20 minutes before.

This was the last week before the wedding and except for the craziness of the wedding coming up, Penny was amazed on how normal she felt as she ate a quick breakfast with Leonard that morning, before they went to the airport. Things had really changed for her, the pain of loosing the baby was still there when she thought about it, but it was a pain she could now deal with, it didn't seem to want to rip her soul out anymore. Actually all she had to do was hold on to Leonard to make any pain go away, just like this morning when her mind was able to devote all her thoughts solely to him again. She knew he with out a doubt he was her future and the thought of them being married soon and going on with their lives together excited her in ways she at one time thought she would never feel again, she was happy.

It was two hours later when Meryl dropped them both off at the airport, in just enough time for them to get the rental cars, the two large white Chrysler 300 cars that they would use to tote their friends around and then use again in their wedding that weekend. They had the cars rented and returned to baggage/arrival area just minutes before they saw their friends coming out of the secure area, Amy and Bernadette practically jumped on Penny and all three girls squealing in delight at their reunion. Penny was especially feeling excited, her girlfriends now being there making everything even seem more perfect for her, the girls being an important part of the wedding and her life.

Leonard's greeting of the guys was much more subdued, hugging and shaking he hands of Raj and Howard, then just looking and nodding to Sheldon. Leonard trying his best to not cause any problem that would make this wedding difficult or awkward for Penny. He then quickly told them the plans for the rest of the day, noticing even Sheldon listening intently to his words. He actually had to restrain himself from telling Sheldon he had checked out the rating and customer comments on cleanliness for the hotel he booked them in, old habits dying hard now that he was around him again.

Penny and the girls rejoined the guys where she hugged Raj and Howard too, but stopped short with Sheldon, partly because he didn't really like hugs, but mostly because she didn't feel comfortable hugging him, not after everything that happened. "Thanks for coming with Amy." she just said to him.

Sheldon nodded, "It was the socially right thing to do." he responded in his normal flat tone.

The bags were then collected, and the group spilt up to get into the two large white cars, that Leonard and Penny rented, to drive to the hotel. Each car easily accommodating five passengers, so one would be left with the gang while Leonard and Penny would keep the other. Normally the girls, in such a situation, would have rode in one car while the guys in the other, but because of the last few months, Leonard and Penny drove Howard and Bernadette while Amy and Sheldon rode in the second car driven by Raj. Raj being alone, since Emily had to work that weekend and, being only a resident, couldn't get off for the wedding.

The hotel was just over halfway back to the farm, so once there, the gang checked in while Leonard and Penny waited in the lobby to take them all to dinner that night, Penny having talked to Amy for a few minutes alone before she went to her room with Sheldon. Leonard and Penny then uncharacteristically quiet while waiting in the lobby for a few minutes after the gang left to their rooms. "Leonard is this upsetting you?" Penny finally asked.

"No." Leonard quickly responded, "I was just wondering how it is for you, is it upsetting you?"

Penny giggled nervously, "No, I was worried about you."

Leonard shook his head a small smile on his face, "Here we said we would not let this be a big deal and here we are sort of making it a big deal."

Penny nodded, "Yeah, I think we are over-thinking this already."

Leonard nodded, "We need to not let this get to us, it is really not a big deal to me that Sheldon is here and I refuse to let him ruin our wedding."

Penny nodded, "Me too Sweetie. I'm just going to consider him just another guest, nothing else."

Leonard nodded, "Okay. It is about us, mostly you, not about him from now on."

Penny giggled, "Listen to us, putting ourselves before Dr Wack-a-doodle."

Leonard smiled, "It is about time." he then reached for his fiancée.

Penny came over to sit on his lap, "Yes it is." she then kissed him, kissed him hard. They then stayed sitting like that, giving each other little kisses the whole time, while waiting for their friends to return.
