Lucy: Hello, is this a surprise to anyone!
Violet: Yes, why are you here?
Josh: Why are we all here?
Levy: Duh, this is a super early special chapter.
Owls: Yes it is, I hope you like it.
Violet: Owls, why are we up here?
Owls: I kinda have an author's note at the bottom which no one will probably read.
Violet: Okay-
Wendy: Don't forget to favorite...
Lucy: Follow...
Carla: and review.
Levy: If you do, updates will come faster. It has been proven by scientists!
CHAPTER EIGHT:
DRAMA~
"Salt Lamps aren't they refreshing," Josh addressed the camera.
"They sure are," Violet said.
"Right now we are waiting for Lumen Siderum to get on stage," the red headed male informed his viewers. Just as he said so, an exceed swooped into the camera's view and dropped a note into Josh's hand.
"Open it!" Violet clapped her hands excitedly before snatching it out of Josh's hands. "OMFG!"
"Violet tell the viewers why you broke my eardrum," Josh shouted in a whisper; he was cringing on the ground.
"Apparently someone murdered Ethan and Lumen Siderum can't compete or perform any longer."
"BS, let me see that," Josh recovered quickly very used to the level of decibels his co-star let out. Josh quickly read through the note an announced to the audience: "Ethan from Lumen Siderum, is temporarily out of the competition because he was shocked by lightning. The source is said to be Orga of Sabertooth and the team has been disqualified from this battle phase. In result Fairy Tail Team A wins by default though they would have won anyways. Lumen Siderum has requested to perform after the other teams have finished. It has been accepted."
"Is that why we heard all that yelling earlier." Violet recounted the very loud shouts that came from backstage. "Our junior reporter, Lux, is backstage right now getting the latest scoop."
On television screens across Fiore a young blonde girl was smiling, her blue-gray eyes sparkling. "I am junior reporter Luxxy, right now we are backstage at the Grand Magic Games first battle phase. During a commercial break Master Levy McGarden was called in the help her guildmates. She teleported right in front of Fairy Tail Team B and almost tripped over Black Steel Gageel luckily Panterlily, the dragonslayer's exceed, picked her up remarking she was heavier than before. Gageel appeared to be very confused for awhile 'til it clicked that his 'cat' knew her. Levy didn't seem very interested in Gageel; however, Patherlily was exceedingly interesting." Luxxy giggled at her pun, "Because he is an exceed and he was exceedingly interesting." Something behind the camera stopped the girl's hysterics. Her pale face grew deadly serious as if she were about to report the death of the most amazing person in the world without crying, "As the two were catching up, Levy was called over by her team and Pantherlily began to explain who this mysterious woman was to his master. In under two seconds, Gageel marched over to the L.S. team and began yelling at them for being traitors. Levy began yelling back claiming he was the traitor but never saying why. Could Master Levy and Black Steel Gageel know each other?" , Luxxy let out a giggle, "Could they have once been lovers?"
"Thank you Luxxy," Josh was slightly, scratch that very, irritated Violet hired, without any permission from anyone, a junior reporter, "Now the next sing-off battle will begin. Wolf Clan vs. Lamia Scale performing Paradise by Coldplay. First team up is Wolf Clan,"
Before Josh finished, strange violin-like music began playing while slowly Rego and Macy walked out from opposite sides of the stage, backs facing each other. They began circling looking for something. Not once could they have seen each other. Then the base dropped and voices began to sing faintly in the background nonsensical 'oh's.
Eyes were draw two place: the small place above the stage where Summer was descending like an angel falling from heaven in a flowing white dress and in the audience itself as two mad looking men made their way towards the sage. Macy and Rego's faces were masked with fear.
The singing began when Rego, Macy and one of the mad men stopped moving on stage. The stage lights highlighted Summer as the angel and Blast as one of the mad men.
"When she was just a girl," Summer sang with resonance.
"She expected the world," Blast motioned to Summer who was stuck in her falling position.
"But it flew away from her reach," The two sang in unison.
Rego and Macy unfreeze from the fighting stance with backs to each other, "So she ran away in her sleep," they fell to the ground slumping in their fake slumber.
"Dreamed of Para-para-paradise," Summer was dropped to the ground before freezing face looking towards the sky.
"Para-para-paradise," Blast froze as well.
"Para-para-paradise," Surprisingly Chris, playing the other mad man, had a voice that made Candy, Violet, and the entire female population swon, expect Shoko; she was staring stonily at her sister's team.
Once Chris froze as well, Macy and Rego sang again, "Every Time she closed her eyes."
"Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh," Summer was taken up by a not too obvious string as she sang towards the sky. Soon another interlude began and the stage went dark for a few moments.
The nonsensical 'oh's began again and each team member, individually, was shown in a dramatic position by a spotlight . Summer was still hanging from a wire, her eyes closed and wings spread wide. Her face looks torn between to place as indicated by her hands one pointed to the sky, one to the stage below. Blast was looking less crazed as he sat on the floor watching the skies. Macy and Rego were placed fighting each other now instead, and Chris was watching with a look of crazed delight.
"When she was just a girl," Blast repeated Summer's previous line still looking up.
"She expected the world," Summer sang, her face was still torn.
"But it flew away from her reach," Blast reached for his oranged haired guildmate.
"And the bullets catch in her teeth," Chris choruses grinning as Macy and Rego began to fight silently.
"Life goes on
It gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear, a waterfall," Chris joined Summer and Blast in unison. The scene looked unaffected by the words. Chris was still looking malicious, Summer was still deciding between the sky or the earth, Blast was trying to reach out to her, and Macy was still fighting Rego. The singing trio looked out at the audience unexpectedly and Macy and Rego stopped fighting.
"In the night, the stormy night
She closed her eyes" Macy slumped to the ground.
"In the night, the stormy night
Away she'd fly." The pink haired mage was limply flown in the air by a string.
"And dreamed of…" Summer crooned from her place no longer alone in the sky.
"Para- para- paradise,
Para- para- paradise,
Para- para- paradise," Blast serenaded
"Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh," The duet harmonized.
"She dreamed of…" Summer began alone again.
"Para- para- paradise,
Para- para- paradise,
Para- para- paradise,
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh," The team collective toned.
As music began again Summer and Macy began spiraling down from their suspended posts. Summer's dress flew out around her.
Then the men: "La la la La
La la la" as they clapped along with the music.
"So lying underneath those storm skies," Macy and Summer began.
"She said oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh" Blast detached Summer from her string and they slowly began to dance. Rego did the same to Macy while they sang together.
"I know the sun must set to rise," Summer and Macy.
In unison Rego and Blast lifted their respective woman into the air to completely a very advanced ballet maneuver, involving twirls and skips and ballet things that were extremely unexpected from the group of mages, while singing.
"This could be para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
This could be para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh." and the song finished after this was sung three times. Chris wasn't seen again on stage.
"They know ballet. Isn't that a surprise it makes you think what else they could have up their sleeves, doesn't it Josh."
"Yes Violet, it certainly makes you wonder what this mysterious team is hiding, but it isn't the time for questioning reality."
"It's time to question judges!" Violet leaped straight to Shoko skipping over Candy with a glare, "Shoko, what did you think of your sister's team's performance?"
"They sucked," Shoko growled.
"What?! but she's your sister."
"Sister or no, they didn't include all their members and focused on the fan favorites." Shoko was still glaring at every living thing.
"Oh...well Judge questioning is over," Violet stepped daintily away from Candy who was trying to hog her screen time from the background, "Apparently even more drama happened backstage. Luxxy tell us about it."
Luxxy appeared again with her uncanny resemblance, "Again there was a fight between Fairy Tail and Lumen Siderum. Apparently two exceeds belonging to the dragonslayers, Natsu Dragoneel and Gageel Redfox have decided to join Lumen Siderum against their master's will. The exceeds claim that Lucy and Levy are their mothers. It seems that as time goes on Fairy Tail is beginning to remember its shaky past with the Lumen Siderum founders. Lisanna and Erza are even starting to back away from their guild more and more, defending the exceeds when their masters tried to force them to stay. The fighting got so bad that Master Laxus was called back stage."
"These teams this year seem to have a lot of secrets. Lumen Siderum is such an unknown and powerful guild plus its strange ties to Fairy Tail, Mermaid Heel replaces their entire team with hooded women, Wolf Clan has hidden talents, Fairy Tail's strongest teams seem to be breaking up, and the thing from Blue Pegasus somehow gets uglier each year. The only guild that hasn't gone crazy yet is Lamia Scale."
"Thank you Violet and Luxxy for your insight," the lights went dark before Josh could finish talking.
"When she was just a girl," A doll made of wood rose from the stage floor as a female and deep male voice began singing without accompaniment.
"She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach" the doll's hand extended towards the sky as the mournful singer continued. A little bird made of ice floated gently in a blazing spotlight.
"So she ran away in her sleep." the lights faded on the bird and the doll slumped floating in the air.
"Dreamed of para-para-paradise," The lights illuminated the stage after flicking off at the beginning of the chorus. Now on the stage, a icy paradise was elegantly displayed with moving icesculptures of people and animals moving about in a dance. The doll appeared again from the sky instead of the stage; she joined in the dance which paused in a tabloo when paradise was mentioned.
The chorus ended and the lights went out. Music finally began playing. Lights flicker back on revealing a girl with pink hair on stage.
"When she was just a girl," A bald man sang to the girl on stage.
"She expected the world," he was joined by a man with large eyebrows.
"But it flew away from her reach," Lyon walked onto the stage and blew a bird into existence with one icy breathe. The creature flew in front of the pink haired woman whose back was to the audience still reached for it but the avian flew into the audience melting before it reached anyone.
"And the bullets catch in her teeth," a man who resembled a cat joined the four men on stage.
"Life goes on, it gets so heavy," they harmonized. The woman's form curved into itself.
"The wheel breaks the butterfly," The pink haired woman turned around eliciting gasps from the audience. Though she may have looked like Chelia Blendy, it was really a doll. It had no mouth or eyes and her face was expressionless mass of wood. The facsimile Chelia danced helplessly around the stage.
"Every tear, a waterfall
In the night, the stormy night
She closed her eyes
In the night, the stormy night
Away she'd fly." The doll instead of flying into the air, became part of the stage and from where she collapsed into the stage the real Chelia grew, it seemed from, her resting place.
"And dreamed of para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh," the woman finally had a solo.
"She dreamed of para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh," The men directed at Chelia who was on stage as if they weren't there at all.
"La la la La, La la la," The bald man sung by himself again his voice deep and wise. He walked to the girl towering over her from behind, yet she didn't notice. He seemed almost like the mentor in the situation.
"So lying underneath those stormy skies,
She said oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh,
O know the sun must set to rise," Before the last line Chelia's head was downcast, slowly she began to raise her head as if finally noticeing something.
"This could be para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
para-para-paradise," The song was no longer split into solos but was in all out unison. Birds and animals made of ice formed and danced on stage; a great feat of magic.
The chorus was sung three times before the song ended.
"OMG!" Two very excited drooling woman watched the stage as Team Lamia Scale left. "Just dreamy," they say in unison again.
"Though the doll was kinda creepy,"
"Yeah," Luxxy and Violet stared off in the distance day dreaming.
"GaLe!" Violet suddenly spouted.
"Yes, its perfect. I'm totally going to put that in my first article."
"All silliness aside," Josh pushed the camera towards him and away from the girls, "Fiore be prepared for this mildly depressing song, Hello by Evanescence, first sung by Blue Pegasus."
Shrieks went lose in the small, very small, room and this time they weren't from Candy or Violet but rather the little reporter named Luxxy. "Oh my god, where is Ren's shirt?! I think I'm going to faint!"
"Violet, what have you done to the poor child?"
"Nothing," The woman wasn't really paying attention. Unfortunately, for Violet, Ichiya came on stage and as seemed to be the entire team's uniform, he was shirtless. The screams died down instantly, but none of the men on stage seemed to care taking their seats enthusiastically.
A piano began playing in the background. Ichiya was sitting on it trying to appear sexy making man woman faint from the sight . . . in horror!
"Playground school bell rings again," Eve began singing his voice higher than the others.
"Rain clouds come to play again," Hibiki and Ren joined in too.
"Has no one told you…" Eve lightly danced over the words as if this were any other song and it meant nothing to him.
"she's not breathing?" Again Hibik, Ren and Eve harmonized. "Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to."
"Hello," Eve sang again. It seems that he was the lead singer for the song, "If I smile and don't believe, Soon I know I'll wake from this dream," Eve finished his short solo in the spotlight.
"Don't try to fix me,
I'm not broken,
Hello, I'm the lie living you can hide,
Don't cry," The Trimens serenaded the crowd while smiling happily. It was unavoidable really, it wasn't in their nature not to try to woo the woman in the crowd.
In the short interlude before the next singing part, a bunny hopped on stage and began dancing. It was an upbeat dance that would be normally seen in a pop music video, but did not go with the music was so ever.
"Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping," Ichiya sang with the bunny. He looked slightly drunk as he started to sway in time with the slow beat on top of the piano. The little man almost started striping; luckily for all the eyes in Fiore, the Trimens threw him into the audience to just be thrown back."Hello, I'm still here, And all that's left of yesterday,"
At the end of the song the bunny was still dancing on stage. His beat was very off; the moves anticipated a faster beat, but the song just won't allow it.
"Wow, I am speechless,"
"In a bad way," Luxxy added. The girl seemed to be at Violet's beckon call, even though earlier that night them seemed extremely irritated with each other.
"Judges, what did you think?" Josh questioned. He now knew it was unaviodable that Luxxy was going to be anchoring with him and the cranky producers weren't even complaining. The child wasn't even a celebrity!
"I thought the trimens were super sexy up there with no shirts on! Josh maybe you should try to-"
"Moving on~" Violet sang. "Shoko...what's up with Shoko?" All heads moved as one inspecting the pink haired pop-star.
"I think she is in shock!" Master Levy announced.
"Oh no! Will she get better. Come one Shoko!" Luxxy began crying.
"As expected the young girl in ages 10-14 will mourn the unpaulabe lose of one of this generations biggest icons. May she Rest In Peace." Levy and Violet bowed their heads in respect to the judge.
"THAT WAS. BY. FAR. THE WORST SINGING I HAVE EVER HEARD! I CAME HERE EXPECTING SOMETHING SLIGHTLY TOLERABLE AND YOU GIVE ME THIS PIECE OF SHIT. I ACTUALLY THINK THESE GUYS DESERVE A REWARD: WORST COVER EVER!" Shoko bellowed.
"Oh thank goodness she's alive." Levy exclaimed. "I thought for a second there that she had gotten a horrible case of Music Acoma, the bad kind, and she went into shock because of the meanless singing those men were performing."
"That song is about death and they were treating it as if they were singing some casual love song!"
Josh was left in the background to calm Shoko. Meanwhile Fiore was stuck backstage again with Luxxy. "I...ran back here...as fast as...I could," Luxxy was heaving taking in as much oxygen as possible. "There is some more drama backstage. During dress rehearsals for the sing-offs, Wolf Clan saw an ex-member from their guild and started to accuse them of being traitors. A whole fight broke lose and Blast lost some of his hair!" Luxxy cried like it was the last thing in the world.
"Thank you-," Josh began.
"But that's not all, apparently the thing that attacked them wasn't even human. It was a large black wolf. So feral and murderous. Bigger than Juro from Lamia; no one could stop its wild rampage."
On another screen, Violet was laughing, "Wolf Clan got beat up by a wolf,"
"This isn't a laughing matter Violet. There is a potentially dangerous wolf ready to attack anyone who comes near it."
Violet was not listening but rather watching the stage intently. A small girl was walking as music played in the background. It was soft piano and had a touch of sadness mimicked by the girls movements.
"Playground school bell rings again," The small girl stopped in her movements carefully guarding a bed covered in a white blanket. The ears protruding from her head and tail twitched in the direction of another purple haired girl. Walked on stage in flowing clothing.
"Rain clouds come and play again," another girl entered. The small girl centerstage was looking at them with fear. All the while she was guarding the bed with her life. Her hands were shaking and her hair was rising like the hackles on a dog.
"Has no one told you she's not breathing?" another woman with purple hair entered the stage.
"Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to," The next woman who entered was a curious one, her hair was purple but it didn't look naturally purple. Her eyes really caught the attention of the crowd. They were large and dark brown almost black, but there was a red tattoo on her right eye.
"Hello," the women sing to the girl closing in on her.
"If I smile and don't believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken," The girl cowered in fear. Purple hair raising again. Ears back and tail puffed up. Her snarl added to the effect of a wolf. The only thing making it impossible to see were the scales glittering on her skin. Her ears began to morph too shaping into the ones of elves, her eyes slitter with dragon pupils, her hands turned to long poisonous claws, and snakes began to curl from her head.
"Hello, I'm the lie living for you so you can hide," the girl who with the red tattoo on her eye placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't cry," The team harmonized. One by one the girls went back off stage leaving just the girl with a red tattoo and the half animal.
"Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping," as the animal girl stood the girl with a red tattoo began to emanate a bright light after muttering some incoherent words. When the light grew individual pieces of animal faded from the animal girl's body.
"Hello, I'm still here,
All that's left of yesterday." The light faded and the stage froze. Animal girl was center stage a bright light on her. Tatoo girl was in the air, some how catching light without needing it.
Not a single eye left the girls until the music finished.
Josh immediately skipped to Candy during the judge questioning. "So Candy,-"
"Shoko, was this performance up to your standards?" Violet rudely skipped over Candy.
"Even though all those girls are traitorous bitches, I have to say it was better."
"What do you mean they by that?" The purple haired mage asked.
"Well, that actually listened to the song-"
"No before that." Luxxy was listening intently writing down every word.
"Oh, those girls used to be in Wolf Clan same as I was. The girl with all the animal stuff coming out of her is Luna she is the youngest, but by far she is the worst of all of them."
"What about the one with the tattoo?"
"I don't really know who she is, but if she is a Cross Sister it doesn't matter who she was before it only matters who she is now."
"What why?"
"Do you have to ask so many questions?" a large hand landed on Violet's shoulder. Yellow eyes followed the hand, leading to a very muscular arm, leading to a face that looked mean and scary and…
"Rego," Shoko replied cooly.
"Shoko," A silent staring contest seemed to weigh Violet's life.
"I suggest you don't answer any more questions." Rego leaned in, "Alpha's orders." Shoko glared as she watched his back.
"What's your connection to Rego?"
"Who is Alpha?"
That was when all the drama started. Wolf Clan, infamous for its loyalty and professionalism, was breaking at the seams. The entire country watched as it slowly began to unravel and leave in its wake destruction unknown to mankind. All because those whiny babies wanted something they couldn't have, something they once possessed and would never again, something every guild wants to posses but they just never knew about it. How did Wolf Clan know about it? It was a well kept secret for centuries, limited to only the best celestial mage's knowledge. Oh dear, I've said too much!
A/N: Ooooooooo, mysterious narration! I hope you guys liked it. This took me a little while to write because I was trying to make sense. So what did you guys think? Good? Bad? Should I go back to not making sense?
Disclaimer time. I don't own any songs used during this chapter. Coldplay owns Paradise the song sung by Wolf Clan and Lamia Scale. Evanescence owns Hello which was sung by Blue Pegasus and Mermaid Heel. Of course I also don't own Fairy Tail ;Hiro Mashima does.
Now onto updating. I update pretty irregularly, mostly on the weekends. But recently I have taken a break from updating, not writing updating. So you may get this at some weird time, but probably not because Spring Break is coming up. Yeah! I have time to sit down on focus on this story. I have the next few chapters planned oit and a system of how they are going to be, but I can't tell you what it is because it would be to big of a hint as to what I'm doing with the story.
Arigato minna! Thank you guys for reading again. next chapter will be an OC chapter like the previous chapter! I'm really excited about it.
Hoots,
Owls
P.S. If you've read this far, I would love it if you showed me you care and write a review about what color describes this chapter best. Weird right? Just do it, okay!
