Chapter 52 - Some things are better left Unknown

Penny and Leonard weren't the only ones to undress each other that evening, Courtney was already about to chase her second orgasm when Leonard and Penny were only beginning that night. She was still on a high from the idea her cameraman had put together for her story, so his now being amazing in bed was just like the icing on the cake, as the tremors took over her body for a second time making her mind go blank as her body lost all control. The man who was having sex with her now also came with her, so it was just a few minutes later she was in his arms, her body and mind returning to her control as her senses come slowly back to her.

Courtney smiled, a little part of it for the great sex she just had, but mostly because she would be going home with a huge story. Her cameraman was brilliant, at least that was what she thought now, the story had been right there all along, but she had been so fixated on the story of Penny and her show she didn't even see what was happening right in front of her. Penny had been the one of the most talked subjects back in Hollywood the last couple of weeks, her popularity with her fans soon becoming evident, by everyone in the business, as soon as it was know she was removed from her show. The network had already seen over a million comments on their website from upset fans before Courtney even left to get this story. However now Courtney had something bigger for those fans to get excited about, Penny had gotten married and she had secretly run to Nebraska to have her wedding. The fans loved their favorite celebrities getting married, especially doing it in secret like this, they would go nuts over it and demand to know more. So, because of her cameraman, she now had several great pictures of Penny and her husband, they would make the whole next week seem crazy as her magazine released them and people tried to find out more about Penny and her mystery man. What was even better was that only Courtney and her cameraman knew his last name, getting it easily from a teen going to the reception, the teen just blurting out 'Hofstadter' so she could get a chance to be on camera. Courtney's magazine would have an excusive with the news of the wedding and when speculation started to die, they would reveal his name, starting the fervor all over again, it would make her magazine fly off the shelves in sales and it would move Courtney up the ladder in her career.

Actually Courtney thought Penny owed her big time over what she was about to do, being the subject of talk in Hollywood was sometimes very good, especially when it was about something fans loved like getting married, it was the kind of publicity that money couldn't buy. Penny being the subject there, for the last couple weeks, and now with the this story Courtney's magazine would release, would put Penny again in the news for at least a couple more weeks, which could do nothing but help her career. Courtney already heard rumors that the network was already looking at Penny for a new show, based on the fans response over her old show, so her with her continuously being in the news and her fans to be soon be going crazy over her marriage, it should only be good for her, just like this story was going to be good for Courtney.

But Courtney now looked up at the man that made this all happen, he was pretty good looking and he was large for his size, she was also feeling pretty good still, her career prospects and her libido were both pretty high right now. So she just smiled up at him and reached her hand under the blankets, finding immediately what she was searching for. "I think someone is missing me." She then gave him a wink before ducking her head under the covers, she was really happy and she wasn't done with the man who made her that happy just yet

The reception wound down an hour or two later, not because of everyone leaving, actually the free alcohol would have kept many of the drinkers in Penny's family there all night. No the reception actually ended because after the Bride and Groom retired for the night, most of the respectable members of the family began leaving during the next hour or two, them not being the types to just drink and party like the more wild side of Penny's family. So it Wyatt and Steven that finally cleaned up the drunken party that was left, making sure the worst offenders rode with someone else and convincing some of the more inebriated adults that it was time for them to leave. Then with the help of the members of the wedding party, they straightened out the VFW hall to make it presentable before they left that night.

Howard and Bernadette drove the second wedding rental car to the hotel, with Raj, Amy and Sheldon riding in the back, since they were all in the same hotel it was logical they traveled together that night. No one actually was hated Sheldon, they were just aggravated more that usual at him for all that happened and the way he acted the last few months, however they all did love Amy and Sheldon was her fiancé, so although Sheldon was in the doghouse he was still considered one of them. So as one of them they also felt the need to help him and Amy, especially since Sheldon ended up having a couple drinks with Amy the last two hours of the reception and unlike Amy, who Penny conditioned to tolerate alcohol, Sheldon was feeling very good.

"I love you Amy." Sheldon whispered while squeezing her in a hug, as she sat in the middle seat of the backset of the car, then putting a kiss on her neck, while Raj, who sat next to her, tried to ignore the cuddling going on next to him by looking out the window.

"I love you too, Honey" Amy whispered back, just enjoying her flirty boyfriend on their ride back.

Their arrival at the hotel though confused Sheldon's condition to Amy, Sheldon seemed completely in control of his himself and did not act extremely drunk to their friends. However Amy knew he was obviously being impacted by the alcohol in his system because his normally serious exterior seemed to have dissolved away as he couldn't help but smile a lot. Sheldon's condition was made even clearer to Amy as they took a elevator to their room, Sheldon's hand finding and squeezing her ass no sooner that the elevator doors seem to close. Actually she thought he had been sweet to her all night, the alcohol seeming to make that affection and sweetness come out a lot stronger than before.

Amy looked up at him while his hand seemed to take up residence on her behind. "You are pretty drunk Sheldon, you really need to get to bed." she then smiled up at him.

He again flashed a smile at her, his deep blues seeming to twinkle with that smile. "Only if you go to bed with me." wiggling his eyebrows as he said that.

Amy sighed, thinking, 'only he had wanted her like that when he was sober'. "Honey, that is the alcohol talking, tomorrow you will feel different, I promise."

The to Amy's surprise Sheldon's face got more serious, like he hadn't drunk a thing that night. "While I agree the alcohol is a factor, I think that factor is to help me push my fears aside." he then froze her in a stare with his icy blue eyes, "The alcohol has nothing to do with my desire." He then got that goofy look on his face again and leaned down to kiss Amy, pulling her body close to his.

It was lucky he did because Amy's legs gave out as soon as their lips touched, his words about his desire for her had shocked her, but his lips following that admission made her knees weak. She knew she was his that night now and she would do anything he wanted, denying him nothing, she loved him so much. It was a dream come true for her, having a man love her as much as she loved him, and so Amy just followed her lover as soon as the elevator doors opened to room and what laid beyond.

Lindsey rode back to her parents home, in the pickup with her dad and mother, quietly looking out the window and thinking about all that happened that day. Her sister married the man she desired, someone who would love and take care of her forever, someone who wouldn't cheat and would always be there for her, it made Lindsey both happy for Penny and jealous of her. Lindsey's marriage was over, it was more than her husband telling her he cared for someone else, it was that she could never be with him again, he had made her hate him, today driving away any remaining love she had left for him for good. It was a very lonely feeling to know you were on your own, with a child to raise and no future to look forward too, and Lindsey now felt trapped in that loneliness, making her want to run and hide or do what she usually did when feeling that bad, drink her sorrows away. However that same train of thought brought up another option, something other than lying awake in her bed all night and thinking about her miserable life.

So no sooner that they arrived at the farm, Lindsey got out of the truck and turned to her parents. "I'm still a little wound up from the wedding so I'm going to Judy's and visit for a bit."

Meryl didn't like Lindsey being out late at night, she was concerned for her, especially after what happened today with her husband. "Sweetie are you sure you should be going out now?"

"Yes mom, I need to go, I can't sleep now." Lindsey looking at Meryl trying to convey that what happened with her husband being her motivation without saying it.

Meryl understood, "Okay, drive carefully and call me when you get there."

Lindsey nodded and went into the house to change, doing it quickly, before she left the house to drive off in her car. Calling her friend Judy to get her alibi, as she drove to see someone else.

Sheldon and Amy directly to his bed, Sheldon laying down immediately, his body supported by the pillows, and looking attentively at her, while Amy sat down on the bed next to him. She was feeling both nervous and happy from the drinks she had at the reception, Sheldon's enthusiasm from the elevator along with his words that he desired her now driving all her actions with him. However, after a few seconds, Amy could see that Sheldon was unintentionally getting too comfortable and that his consuming of alcohol was now making him want to sleep, as the alcohol started to dissipate from his body, him suddenly yawning deeply while he looked at her with sleepy eyes.

"Sheldon you look tired, maybe you should sleep." She regretfully but honestly told him.

"No Amy, I want this, it is just….it is just I don't know how to start." he said with bedroom eyes.

Amy melted again under his look, he still wanted her and she more than wanted him, and somewhere deep down inside her mind suddenly remembered what Penny told her and showed her months ago, her consciousness now recalling events she thought she forgot, in her desire for her man. "I can do something, I was shown by P…..the girls?" she said to him.

Sheldon sleepily nodded to her with a smile, as Amy remembered Penny telling her that doing this would definitely wake him up. So it was the removing of Sheldon pants and her just sitting next to his thigh, about to remove his briefs, that made Amy suddenly freeze as all her memories of that night flashed back into her mind, the strong feeling of deja-vu suddenly consuming her. She had been in almost the same position with Sheldon when everything happened that night with Penny and as she continued to sit those memories came flooding back clearer to her and in great detail. She remembered them getting naked, her, Penny and Sheldon doing that before she joined her nude boyfriend and bestie on the bed. She also remembered them all being really drunk and Sheldon laying down on the bed while her and Penny sat near his upper thighs like she was doing now.

The memories were all there now and she remembered it had all started so innocently, three people that had drunk way too much and were acting nothing like they did normally. She also knew how it began, Penny was drunk and like she said years before, when they played parlor games together, she spilled on herself when drunk. That night was no exception, Penny spilled half her drink down the front of her, soaking her blouse with a cold mixed drink and ice. Amy remembered her friend saying 'Crap, why do I always do this' then she watched as Penny removed the soaked blouse as quickly as she could.

Amy giggled at her friend in her bra, but she was surprised when Sheldon then said, 'Amy are you going to remove your shirt too?' which was followed up by Penny smiling and saying, 'Yeah Amy are you going to remove your shirt too.' Amy now realizing how Penny was teasing her then to get her and Sheldon together, really together, but at the time all she did was listen to her.

She probably wouldn't have done it in any other situation, but too much alcohol and Sheldon staring at her with those deep blue eyes finally made her just do it, after all she thought Penny was almost topless too. So she took off her sweater and blouse, sitting there just like Penny, but unlike Penny she then watched as her boyfriend checked out her chest, his blue eyes now seeming to twinkle as he stared down at her cleavage. Amy remembering now how good it felt to be desired by him, at that moment, and that feeling would eventually make her do more.

'Sheldon now you have to take your shirts off so we don't feel weird', Amy now heard Penny say, then watched as Sheldon took off his shirts and finally sitting there his bare chest so close to her she felt she could feel the heat.

Amy was still trying to get use to her boyfriend stripped to the waist next to her when he whined, 'Now I'm topless while you still have braziers on'.

Amy now heard her name from Penny, 'Amy', making her look over at her smiling friend who now reached back to her bra strap, nodding towards Sheldon. It was like Amy couldn't control herself, she just reached behind her back to the clasp of her bra and at the same time as Penny unhooked it and took it off. What happened next just made Amy melt, Sheldon was just looking at her wide eyed, his face having a look she never saw before on him, a look of desire. It was then that he kissed her, which had her head swimming in lust, but that lust increased ten fold because as Sheldon kissed her his hand found her breast, his thumb running over her nipple almost making her go over the edge right then.

She didn't know how long they kissed or even how long Sheldon fondled her, but the next thing she knew, Penny was pulling them up, a feat that still seemed impossible to Amy now since Penny was so drunk she had trouble even standing. However she did get them up and after they were up, she dragged them to Sheldon's bedroom, drag being not the proper term as Amy remembered neither her or Sheldon resisted Penny's pulling them along at all. It was in Sheldon's room that Amy remembered Penny squealing, 'you guys are so ready' as she sat them down on the bed, but then things quickly stopped because Sheldon and her really didn't know what to do once there.

Amy remembered Penny just staring at them for a moment, before she frowned and started to talk again. "Don't you guys know what to do? Sheldon do you remember the book we gave you."

Sheldon just looked at Penny in disgust, well partial disgust his face still wanting to smile the whole time while he still looked at her. "That book gave me nightmares." being all he said.

Even drunk Penny could roll her eyes like the best of them. "Okay then lets play a game."

Sheldon smiled more, "I love games."

Penny now smiled, "Good because the end of this game you are really going to LOVE."

Amy remember numbly playing a game Penny said was 'Penny Wants' and as the game started Penny wanted them all to remove their pants, or in Amy's case her skirt. The game continued as then Penny wanted them to remove their socks, again in Amy's' case her tights, finally Penny wanting them to remove their underpants, until all three of them were naked in Sheldon's room. Amy's memories of them all like that, making her wonder how they all could have gotten so drunk but then also remembering how sick they were the next day with hangovers.

Penny then told Sheldon to lie down on the bed and after he did she came up to Amy with a smile on her face and giggled, "Okay Amy you and Sheldon need to do it. Just climb on top of him." Penny then tried to help Amy on the bed but fell sideways just catching herself on the bed corner. "Whoa who shook the room." coming from her mouth after she stopped.

Amy then remembered looking at Sheldon before turning back to Penny, "Penny, I think Sheldon is asleep." Amy tilting her head towards her boyfriend to prove her point because it did look like Sheldon was now out of it.

"Damm it, I didn't do all this for him to wimp out." Penny then looked at Amy and smiled, "Alright girlfriend here is some girlfriend 101, he may be asleep but I know a surefire way to wake him up."

"Really how." Amy in her drunk state was now interested.

Penny now did sit Amy on the bed near Sheldon's thigh before going on the other side to sit across from her, "Here give me your hands." Penny then took Amy's hands in hers and put them on Sheldon's penis.

"Oh my." Amy exclaimed at the contact with her boyfriend, but the alcohol was still controlling her so she didn't pull away.

Penny now took Amy's hands and started to move them up and down along Sheldon's length, her own hands never touching him. Penny giggled as Amy's eyes got wider as Sheldon's penis got harder and longer. "See, I bet he doesn't stay asleep for long." she told Amy with confidence.

"It is getting so long." Amy gasped, now rubbing more on her own, not needing Penny's hand over hers to coax her on.

Penny took her hands away and sat back slightly swaying while she watched her friend give her boyfriend a hand job even though he was asleep. "You go girl."

Just then they heard Sheldon moan and his hips start to slightly pump, it made Penny giggle as she looked back at Amy, "See I told you so, he is not asleep anymore. So girl now its your turn, mount your man and ride him into the sunset." Penny slurring her words but Amy's mind seeming to understand every word.

Amy's alcohol dulled mind was slow to act on what Penny told her and she actually tried to think about what she was doing, but the alcohol in her system won out. She just did what Penny told her again, after all Penny was more experienced in these things than her, so she began to try to mount her boyfriend while still holding tight to him. However, that was when things went wrong, Sheldon moaned loudly and came hard, making Amy instinctively push his organ way to point more towards Penny. It taking only a couple of seconds for Sheldon's whole load to land in Penny's lap, to the shock of Amy and the disgust of Penny.

"Crap!" Penny exclaimed only to followed by a relaxed moan from Sheldon as he went back to sleep.

Amy and Penny both looked at a now sleeping Sheldon, Amy the first to look away to her friend, unsure what to do next. "Should I do it again?"

Penny shook her head, "Damm him. No Amy it would probably take a while and I'm too tired now." Penny then yawned widely. "I so need to sleep." Penny then just moved to the foot of the bed and laid down, too drunk to even remember she had Sheldon's seed all over her lap.

Amy just looked at her friend, "Okay." then laid down too, next to her boyfriend, and closed her eyes.

Sheldon's snoring broke Amy from her thoughts, he had fell asleep again like that night, however, this night Amy was happy he was asleep and not witnessing the horror she was now going through. Amy turned quickly to look at him again, this time in shock as the implication of her new memories started to sink in, their meaning shaking her to her very core. It made her just stare at him not knowing what to do, because everything they had thought happened the last few months were a lie, they had not really happened that way. Penny and Sheldon never had sex and that meant the baby…..the baby wasn't Sheldon's.

Amy now carefully got off the bed, going to the couch to sit, not trusting her legs to hold her up after knowing what she knew now. She was having trouble just putting her mind around everything, that there was never any sex between Penny and Sheldon, all they did was just get drunk, make fools of themselves and Penny only showed her how to arouse a sleepy Sheldon. It was all one big mistake, an inappropriate mistake, but still a mistake, Penny never even tried to have sex with Sheldon, her friend was just trying to get her and Sheldon together, the alcohol making her do stupid things she would have never done sober. If she had just remembered this before, all the heartache Penny and Leonard went through would have never happened, Leonard would probably been was upset but he loved Penny and would have forgiven her then and there, Amy just knew it. Also, the finding she was pregnant with Leonard's baby, would have made Leonard forget everything but her and his child.

'Oh my God, the baby!' Amy thought, the baby was Leonard and Penny's, what if they knew that the baby was theirs, Amy wasn't sure what they would do. How would have Leonard acted knowing the baby was his, Amy knew he loved Penny, wouldn't he have been trilled about it. Penny would have probably been happy too, she didn't really want to be pregnant now but if she had Leonard's baby Amy couldn't see her friend not being happy. But then Amy also thought about Sheldon, would he hate her and her memory for telling him the baby wasn't his and would he still talk about having a family with her after finding out her memories caused this whole angst to start in the first place?

These thought plagued Amy all night, and it wasn't till almost 5 AM that she fell asleep on the couch thinking she only needed to rest her eyes before fatigue took her over.

It was 10 AM when they left the hotel the next morning, again Howard, Bernadette, Amy and Sheldon riding to the farm to be with Penny and Leonard, to watch as they opened their wedding gifts, Raj telling Howard that morning that he had a way to get there himself. It was their last chance to say goodbye to Leonard and Penny before they went on their honeymoon and before all them went back to California that evening. Sheldon had only a very mild headache and dry mouth that morning but he probably would still have been complaining about his feeling bad except for him finding Amy on the couch that morning, in a very disturbed state. She actually had him worried so much about her that he had buried his own discomfort for a change, because of her, an actual first for him. So they ended up riding quietly to the farm, Sheldon putting his arm around her, actually afraid her condition had something to do with him and very concerned that he had crossed some line with her the night before.

The whole car was actually very quiet, Howard and Bernadette wondering about Raj, while Sheldon worried about Amy, and Amy worried about what she now knew. It was actually a surprise to Amy when they stopped at the farm house, her mind so occupied by her thoughts that time seemed not exist for her anymore. So Amy just followed her group into the house, painting a small smile on her face as she greeted everyone, thankful that there were many people there and no one was really paying too much attention to her, expect Sheldon. It was Sheldon therefore who asked her what she was afraid of and didn't want to answer.

"Amy, is something wrong?" Amy looked up at him in surprise, fearing he somehow knew her secret, her look actually scaring him, "Did I do something wrong?" now coming from his mouth.

Him asking if he was the problem made Amy slightly relax, but she was still very tense and the need to talk to someone was making her even more nervous. "Sheldon I'm not mad at you." she told him seeing him relax, but the need to talk about her memories now seemed to get worse as she looked at him, "Excuse me." she then just walked off and left him.

She looked around in worry until finally she saw a person she thought could help her, so she walked right up to her and interrupted the conversation she was in. "Bernadette can I talk to you?"

Bernadette looked at Penny, then back to Amy, "Penny and I were just talking."

"I know but it is really important. Could I have her please Penny." Amy now pleaded to her friend.

Penny just shrugged, "Okay, we can talk later, and maybe you'll tell me what all this sudden intrigue is about." she then turned to talk to one of her relatives leaving Bernadette and Amy alone.

"So what is going on Amy?" Bernadette was really curious about why Amy was being so weird that day.

Amy looked around then turned to Bernadette, "Not here." turning quickly and leading her friend out the door to Penny's front porch.

Bernadette was now a little concerned, "What is going on Amy?"

"I remember Bernadette." Amy blurted out.

"Remember what?" Bernadette now asked confused

"I remember everything about that night with Penny and Sheldon." Amy told her.

Bernadette blinked, "You do! How…..how did it happen? I thought you were too drunk to remember."

Amy was embarrassed to explain, but she basically didn't have a choice if she wanted Bernadette's help. "I was in the same situation with Sheldon last night and out of the clear blue I sort of remembered what Penny told me to do that night, then it all came back."

"I don't understand, what did Penny tell you to do?" Bernadette now staring at Amy intensely

Amy looked down at her shoes, now extremely embarrassed, but forcing herself to go on. "She showed me how to wake Sheldon up."

"Oh my God, is that when she had sex with him?" a look of horror immediately formed on Bernadette's face.

"NO….no", Amy decided just to tell her everything, sort of pull the Band-Aid off in one move, "Penny never had sex with Sheldon, she showed me how to give Sheldon a hand job, she didn't even touch him, she used my hand to do it."

"Wait what are you saying, Penny never had sex with Sheldon?" Bernadette now felt really confused.

Amy just shook her head and then explained everything to Bernadette, telling her all the details as her friend just stood there, her mouth agape and her eyes wide. When Amy was done it took Bernadette a couple of moments to process all that Amy said before she was finally able to speak again, "This is good, Penny didn't have sex with Leonard."

Amy shook her head, "The baby was Leonard's." she then just said quietly to Bernadette

Bernadette just stared at her again, this information sinking in and shock taking her features over again. It took her a longer time then before but she finally softly said, "Oh my God." again.

Amy nodded, "I don't know what to do, do I tell her or what?"

"NO Amy, you can never tell her." Bernadette was now over the initial shock.

"But doesn't she and Leonard need to know she didn't have sex with Sheldon?" Amy asked her friend desperate for some kind of advice from her.

"NO Amy. That is not important to them anymore, they are over it. Remember Penny told us that Leonard just considered it a mistake and told Penny to put it behind her, they just need to look to the future." Bernadette explained.

Amy just nodded her mind deep in thought, "But she will always think she slept with Sheldon and Leonard with think that too."

"It doesn't matter, they love each other and have dealt with that, they won't let it come between them." Bernadette then sighed, "But loosing Leonard's baby will kill Penny."

Amy just stared at her friend, somehow in her heart she knew she was right, but she still had to ask. "You really think they will take it that bad?"

Bernadette sadly nodded, "Penny will go into grief again, this time probably worse, it will be like it all happened again only this time she will know it is Leonard's baby she lost, the man she loves and wants to have a family with. You know she has always thought she wasn't good enough for him, this will confirm that to her, she lost his baby, she will never think she is good enough for him again. Leonard will have to go through all that too and on top of that he will have a depressed Penny to deal with, which will depress him too."

Amy nodded in thought, "But isn't it better to know, I mean the truth is always the best way, isn't it?"

Bernadette shook her head, "How is destroying the happiness they have now worth knowing the truth, especially if that truth could ruin them both forever. No Amy you can never tell them. It is really sad but the baby was always the Wrong Baby, the Wrong Baby when we thought it was first Sheldon's and the Wrong Baby that died when we now know it was Leonard's."

Amy felt trapped again, knowing a secret she wished she didn't know. "This is too much for me to keep secret alone, Bernadette."

Bernadette smiled, "You are not alone, I know now too, you can always talk to me if you need to."

A small sense of relief passed through Amy, Bernadette was right she wasn't alone with the secret anymore and somehow it made her feel better. She nodded to Bernadette, "Thanks, you're a good friend."

Bernadette smiled, "Alright, just put the secret back in the place in your mind it was before, we are never telling Leonard and Penny, it is like it never happened. We will go in there and be happy because our friends who went through hell are now happy together and in love."

Amy nodded, a small sad smile on her face. "Okay."

They both then turned to head back into the house when then a car came up the driveway to park in front of the house, making them just stop and stare. They stared not because Lindsey came out of it, that was not a surprise, but they stared in shock that Raj came out of it with her, the both of them then coming to enter the house. Lindsey saying just 'Hi." before entering, while Raj just looked like a child caught in the cookie jar as he passed his friends to follow her.

"Well I guess we know why Raj didn't need a ride." Bernadette calmly stated.

"You don't think they are…..you know." Amy responded.

"Don't know, don't care, they are both adults, let them figure it out." Bernadette dismissively said, then looked at Amy, "You ready?"

Amy then nodded as they both turned back to the house and went back inside to rejoin their friends. Once back inside it only took a couple minutes for Amy to know Bernadette was right, because no sooner than she entered the living room she saw Penny and Leonard talking to family, both with huge smiles on their faces, their arms linked together as the stood against each other. Amy could see they were in love and she knew she could never take that away from them, so she buried her memories deep in her mind then went to join her friends to wish them well.
