CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO:
THE CAST ANNOUNCEMENT
"MIKO!" Enyo shouted to her best friend in all of Earthland.
"I'm sitting right here; you don't have to shout," the fifteen-year-old mumbled.
"I know," Enyo plopped down beside side him. "Did you watch the Lacrima today? We were on TV!"
"No, Enyo we filmed the commercial; we weren't in the commercial, so we weren't on TV," Miko barely reacted except for the mild quip.
"Oh," the redhead thought about it for moment, but decided Miko was smart so he was right. "Well, this is the book Violet was talking about in the commercial." She pulled out a large glossy special edition of Sorcerer's Weekly.
"That is a magazine, Enyo," Miko pointed out.
"Ok!" she pulled out a book, "and here is the magazine on Magic my mom taught me with; she thought your sister might like it."
Miko hit his head on the table before him. "Enyo, that is a book, and I don't have a sister."
"But yesterday your mom said you had one…" Enyo thought back to dinner and the dress she made Miko wear...and dinner...Miko's chef was really good! All the cookies, and cake, and the meat! She didn't even know what half of it was called-
"Mother was talking about how I treat you like my sister," Miko sat back down heavily.
"But I'm not, why would your mom think I'm your sister. Wouldn't she have to give birth to me in or something?" Miko just waited for what he knew was coming. Her could feel that Enyo's mind was working like an ocean, and at the moment, it was pulling in right before a great wave of an epiphany hit her, "What if your mother did give birth to me?"
"She didn't," he left it at that. "So, what is this thing?" he motioned to the magazine.
"I'm not sure anymore either a book or a magazine. What do you think, Miko?"
He would have loved to run a hand down his face; instead, he opened the magazine and started flipping through the pages. He came across the faces Earthland had come to know as the competitors in Fiore's Grand Magic Games that year.
"She's so pretty!" Enyo stopped him on a page that was marked Lumen Siderum at the top. There were two guys and three girls. The girl Enyo was referring to was Celeste Rose, as labeled by the words on the page. Her red hair was bobbed and gracefully flowed around her head as though gravity seemed to have no effect on her. Pale skin, green eyes, and blood red lips helped to complete her goddess-like appearance. She had decided on a knee-length, strapless dress that never seemed to flip up in the wind that flowed around her at all times, and in her hair was a gold bow followed by a ribbon circling past her ears, down her head, and back. The uniform for LS that year was a slightly dull gold it made Celeste look even more illustrious.
"That guy looks protective of her," Miko pointed to Archi Moonbeam, a tall ninteen-year old with spiky silver hair and silver eyes. He wore a large billowy shirt that looked a lot like a priest's shirt especially with its large printed moon in the center, but he looked a bit like a rebel with the stud in his ear.
"Do you think they're in love?"
"How would I know?"
"Look there's another couple!" Enyo nearly ripped the page with he pointing.
"Where?"
"There Tetsu Nanami," a very muscular, very tall man with shaggy blonde hair. He wore a gold shirt, gold pants, gold shoes, and, oddly, a black pack, "And Azu whatever her last name is!" she nearly hit Miko with her frantic pointing at the black-haired, blue-eyed, nineteen-year-old girl. She also wore a knee-length dress with short sleeves and a white bow around the center. She was standing very close to Tetsu, but he didn't seem to notice.
"Actually I think he looks more enraptured with Musica Leon." Pointing to the girl on the the other side of him and nearly in the center of the page. The blonde was the only one to be looking directly out of the page - it began to scare Enyo. She had a tight fitting long-sleeved shirt on along with pant and shoes making her look as if she was wearing a gold catsuit. The youngest of her teammates strung a guitar across her back.
"No, I ship Tetsu and Azu," Enyo flipped to the next page revealing another team: Wolf Clan. "There is a man with little things following him around."
"Those are mirrors,Enyo," he looked at the strange figure. He was the only teammate to take up the whole page. The other's were crowded onto the next page. "His name is Boetius," Miko told Enyo absentmindedly. He wore a green uniform along with his guild members. His outfit consisted of no shirt revealing his not exactly fit physique, and a pair of tight green pants that cut off mid-thigh. His eyes were directed at the multitude of mirrors surrounding him.
"Why would he want to look at himself if he looks like that?!"
"I don't know, but he seems proud of it," Miko fold that page under the other containing the rest of the competitors for Wolf Clan.
"It's Shoko!" Enyo, a huge fan of course, shoved Miko away, "she looks good!"
"Why sound so surprised?"
"She disappeared a few months ago along with Gwen Lazar," she pointed out a girl with green hair and gold eyes, "who's her manager, and Juan," the other male on the team, who had blue hair and green eyes.
"Who's the other girl?" Miko asked expecting his friend, who knew so much more than him on the subject of idols, to know something on the topic-
"Which one?" his hopes flew far away, far far away.
"Larita Lovelace, it seems she was the previous guildmaster."
"What a weird guild," Enyo laughed and turn the page. "Fairy Tail!"
"I thought you hated Fairy Tail?"
"I do, that's why I screamed."
"That sounded like a scream of joy."
"Do you want me to do it again, but with more fear?"
"No," Miko stared at the page. "Fairy Tail Team B," he read to his friend.
"Why does Fairy Tail always have two teams?"
"I think the other guilds do too, but most don't make it past the first challenge."
"So Fairy Tail, is really the strongest?"
"Yes, but they aren't exactly all as smart as their competitors so it decreases their power."
"But they look like a family," Enyo points out the mother, an older woman (around thirty) named Mellissa, as the stricter of the parental figures. Soren Bright (a much younger man) was the father and seemed to be much more carefree, holding the youngest competitor, Jeanie, on his shoulder. On the other page was the teenager, Angelica, and her boyfriend, Ash Silverlight.
"They really do," Miko murmured at the blue clad warriors
"Next Page!" Enyo did the honors, "Sabertooth!"
"Don't scream in fear, Enyo; it hurts people's ears."
"That wasn't a scream in fear, baka!" Enyo's eyes glazed over the page. There was one girl out of the group that didn't seem to be part of the rest. Jackie was the youngest, and she had a mean glare you would expect from Sabertooth. The other's all had laughing smiles. On girl was kissing the other on the cheek, the other was playing along. Morris, the older of the two boys, was resting his arms on Lynnea's head making her shortness an even more obvious attribute. Matt was cheering on Kadande who was kissing Lynnea on the cheek. "The red makes them look pretty fierce for being goofballs." Enyo flipped the page, "Fairy Tail!"
"That was scared enough, now stop screaming," Miko looked at the second Fairy Tail team.
"Oh, Luxxy is on this team," She pointed out the blonde standing next to another girl, Catherine. They looked like the best of friends. A boy, Ty, was staring at them from the coroner of his eye a small blush on his cheeks. On the other page were the two older mages, Seth, a strict looking boy, and Chaynee, a girl with lilac hair and who was looking anywhere but at the others.
"They look just a bit dysfunctional," Enyo noted of the team also adorned in blue but a slightly different shade than their sister team, "okay, next!"
"What did i say about shouting?" Miko flipped the page.
"Only in the face of danger, I know, I know. Oh, look it's Mermaid Heel." Courtney stood at the forefront of her 'sisters'. Luna was in the background; somehow the camera had caught her in wolf form. Tizzy, the third oldest, was holding up Melly, a girl who had nearly slept through last year's GMG. Lola, a strange girl with plants up her arms was investigating the world around her with a pencil and a pad of paper.
"Purple, how original," Miko flipped the page bored already. "Blue Pegasus? At least they got rid of the Trimens."
"There are so many girls this year," Enyo motioned to the three woman dress in Blue Pegasus pink. Cora, a dark skinned woman, stood beside Hikari, the oldest of the team, laughing together. Aoi and Katio seemed to be attached a the hip, as many siblings seemed to be, following Hikari. Boomer, the youngest on the team at age fifteen, was staring longingly at Hikari from the other page, and Aoi, the younger female of the two siblings, was glaring at him. Katio had his arm around Cora but seemed to also stare at Hikari.
"Blue pegasus looks like a drama house this year."
"Next, is Lamia Scale right?" Enyo flipped to the final picture. There were two girls on this team: Lulu, a girl who seemed to take pleasure in glaring, and Aki who had three older brothers, but only two were related to her. Aki was making a face at Lulu trying to make the other girl laugh, but she only smiled a bit. Rex and Rikki, Aki's older brothers, flanked her and Hanaku flanked Lulu on the other side. Team entire team was dressed in brown.
"Hm…" Enyo closed the issue, "that was a good book."
"Magazine," Miko corrected.
"Right, I keep forgetting."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I have this weird disorder where I- hey, Miko what were we talking about?"
A/N: Hey-o Owls, I'm sorry this is late, but it is really long so I hope that makes up for it. This is an introduction into the OCs competing in the GMG and who we will travel around with. I did change some things around a bit just to add some diversity. If you don't like something i changed PM me and I will see what i can do about.
Disclaimer: If I owned all of this, would I really be sitting in my basement freezing my butt off? I also only own a few OCs and I would have included who owns what OCs, but I don't have the time right now. Next chapter though.
Hoots,
Owls
