CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE:
FORGOTTEN STARS
After Lucy left, Natsu dashed to the guild. He felt bad, but it was to save her. Behind him, he could hear the shouts of his pursuers, the dark guild, Wolf Clan.
"Natsu," Lisanna rushed to his side, "where's Lucy?"
"I don't know."
"You weren't mean, were you?"
"I don't think so." Natsu began to help fortify the guild hall.
"You were," Lisanna amended, "Come on, Happy," Lisanna called the exceed towards her.
"What?!" Natsu sputtered.
"I'm taking Happy to go find Lucy!" Lisanna shouted, already to the door that was slightly ajar.
Natsu didn't have much time to dwell on it; the doors were shut and Lisanna ran off to the woods. Not even ten minutes later, Wolf Clan burst through the doors with a wolf at their side. The best sniffed the ground and pointed in the direction of the woods.
"Macy, Shoko," a man pointed to the woods and two girls rushed forward.
"So this is the pathetic guild that thought they could keep that little Princess safe," the man sneered, "I can see you all felt dearly for her. Too bad, its time for you to forget." Before anyone knew what was happening the man had raised his hands in the air and began chanting. All across Fiore, people began to drop to the ground. Anyone who had ever heard the name Lucy Heartfilia began to forget. The memories seeped away into the night, whispering on the wind and heading towards the stars.
Even the man's own guild members fell. Soon only he and a tall woman were left standing.
"It is done, no one will know of Lucy Heartfilia and her friends, or the guild Wolf Clan, not even its members."
"Good, your father will be happy, Rego," the woman walked towards Natsu; he had fallen first. "This one seemed to be particularly effective," she pulled out a bottle, "Wrath gave this to me in case we encountered such a case."
"There is no need, my spell will keep the memories away," Rego attempted.
"Yes, but for a time; this," she held up the bottle, "will keep his memories away for good." She poured the liquid down Natsu's throat.
The pink haired boy coughed as the potion stung his throat. He began to burn inside. It felt as though he were losing a part of him, a deep part of him.
"THat should do it," the woman stepped over his limp body, "if only your father was here. Wrath would have certainly enjoyed watching this. You, however, look tired."
"Mizu, I'm fine, for now we need to make sure the Princess is killed."
A bright light flashed and the girls before Happy and Lisanna fell to the ground, and Lisanna felt a little light-headed.
"Lisanna, what just happened?"
"I don't know, but I don't think we can go back to Fairy Tail. Something bad is happening there, but I can't remember what."
"That's bad; neither can I," Happy whispered as if it were a crime.
"I just hope Lucy and the others are okay," Lisanna turned skyward, "wherever they are."
A few months later… "I'm going on a mission!" Natsu handed over the job request.
"Okay," Mira happily complied and stamped the paper.
In customary fashion, Natsu kicked down the door, but waiting on the other side was a girl with a man of white hair, a cat with dirt covering its body, and a toddler with blonde hair and bright grey eyes. The small child ran out of the girl's grip and straight towards laxus who had come down stairs to see what all the fuss was about. The toddler latched herself to his leg and began to run little shocks through it with her hand using magic. SHe moved on to a another person fascinated by the little sparks.
"What's your name?" someone asked the toddler.
"Luxxy!" she mumbled concentrating on making a big lightning bolt and throwing it at Laxus the only person who had not been injured by her lighting.
Attentions switched to the girl. "I'm back, sorry I took so long," she said.
Mira walked to the forefront of the crowd, "Lisanna?" She weaped, "We thought you died years ago.
"I've been back-" Lisanna stopped herself. How could they have forgotten…"Lucy…" she whispered.
"Who?" Mira asked, "It doesn't matter all that matters is that you are safe." SHe gripped her sister's arm and lead her inside, "You know people thought I was crazy to think I had seen you, but looks like I wasn't."
A/N: Hey-o Owls! Nice to see you again. I know I have been updating strangely and that is mostly because I'm still planning this out and also because its still summer break and I feel lazy! Whoop! Yeah, so tell e what you think in the reviews. I really love all my reviews lots and lots, and all my readers lots and lots, and all my bananas lots and lots, and all my kitties, and all my books and all my writings...I love nearly everything.
Disclaimer: This thing, do I have to do it every chapter? I have no clue that is why I am asking. Whatevs, it does get boring...okay, I don't own Fairy Tail hopefully this is obvious.
