ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL

Ask Away

The dagger never reached its destination as Erza swiftly hit the back of his neck successfully knocking him out, the boy slumping forward unconscious. She caught him and draped him over her shoulder, standing up and looking over at Lucy and Gray who had a dumbstruck look on their faces. She smiled at them and made her way over to the two, shifting the pink haired boy into a more comfortable position on her shoulder.

"Shall we go back to the guild?" she asked the two as if they were calmly discussing the weather. Lucy and Gray fumbled over their words, unable to say anything as Erza just smiled politely and walked away to where she knew the train station was located. Still in shock, Gray and Lucy looked at each other with their mouths wide open, then started to follow Erza with zombie-like movements.

Slowly the boy opened his eyes and sat up, looking around him. He noticed he didn't have his cloak on anymore, leaving him in his red sweatshirt and brown shorts with no weapons. He looked around at his surroundings to notice he was in some type of infirmary with Erza and two of her friends along with a short old dude staring at him from the end of his bed. Instantly he made to run away from the four only to bump into some type of barrier trapping him to the bed. Narrowing his eyes at the barrier that prevented his escape, he moved till his back was against the headboard when he figured there was no way for him to escape with the barrier surrounding his bed. He would break through it if it wasn't for the fact he really wasn't good with any type barriers, so that was way out of the question.

"What's your name?" the old man asked the pinkette, bringing him out of his thoughts about the blasted barrier that trapped him to the bed. He just stared at the old man, no intention of answering him.

"You lost so you have to answer everything we ask like in the rules." Erza said as she glared slightly at him. He slowly looked over to her, then shifted his gaze back to the old man.

"Natsu." he replied softly. "Natsu Dragneel." The old man nodded in responds.

"Hello Natsu, I'm Makarov Dreyer, the master of the Fairy Tail." Natsu slowly nodded, already expecting to hear that from the gramps.

"Back there you said something about not being able to obey, can you tell us in detail? Well, if you can." Erza quickly cut in, wanting to know why the fifteen-year-old couldn't disobey. Natsu stared at her long and hard before he finally answered.

"I would be punished." he replied simply, Erza motioning him to explain this punishment. "I would be shackled to the dungeon's wall, whipped, starved, and tortured in creative ways." he added casually, watching in with slight amusement at the horror that crossed their faces.

"Why would they do that?!" the blonde girl shouted, her face twisted in horror at just imagining the torture.

"I'm in an assassination guild, disobeying is not aloud. You are forced to obey or face the consequences and one of them can be death, but no one cares for them since all we have to do is obey. It's the only way to keep order in the guild." He watched the mixture of different reactions coming from each of the occupants in the room, internally laughing on the inside at the faces he was never used to seeing.

"What guild are you from?" the gramps had asked in a deep growl, fist coiled at his side.

"Death Bringer." he said silently even though the others had heard him. The blonde gasped and covered her mouth with her hands while the raven took a step back in surprise, Erza's eyes widening. The gramps didn't seem too surprise, only narrowing his eyes and a look akin to fury crossed his features, the veins on his neck bulging. "You seem to know my guild." Natsu commented, crossing his legs on the bed. "Didn't know it was that famous." he added after thinking a little, shrugging.

"Are you kidding?!" the blonde shouted out despite being now afraid of the assassin before her. He was being surrounded by a barrier so there was no way for him out of it to attack her. "Death Bringer is the top assassination guild! Everyone knows of it! They have the best of the best and never had they failed a job before! No one even knows the people within the guild, only by nicknames they are given and even then no one knows whose actually in the guild, people just know it exists!" she exclaimed. Natsu tilted his head to the side slightly, examining her carefully.

"What's your name?" he asked, surprising the blonde who started to fumble over her words.

"L-Lucy…" she replied. He nodded, looking out of the window on the far wall to see the sun already setting.

"Well Lucy, you seem to have knowledge about my guild." She nodded hesitantly as Natsu turned his head back towards her. "And now you have learned one of the members of my guild." Once again, she nodded her head, gulping as she began to sweat nervously. "You are now one of the few people to know, I congratulate you." he said even though there was no emotion in his voice, nodding in Lucy's direction. He then turned to face Erza. "Are there any more questions?" he asked.

"Why did you join that guild?"
