ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL
Emotions to Rattle
"What are you saying that dragons don't exist?!" a boy around the age of ten with pink hair screamed at the larger man before him.
"I meant what I said. Geez, didn't your father teach you anything?" he asked, his friends around him howling with laughter.
"I don't think my father would tell me that dragons don't exist when he himself is one!" the boy screamed taking a step closer with his fist raised. The man raised an eyebrow at him, his smile stretching on his face.
"You hear that Ryuu?! His father's a dragon!" one of his friends taunted, making the other's laugh harder and louder.
"Maybe his mother's a mermaid!" another added, their laughter becoming louder. The man named Ryuu smiled at what his friends said, bending down so he was eye to eye with the boy.
"Listen kid, you're right, dragon's do exist and my father is a lepre—" he wasn't able to finish his sentence as the pink haired child punched him hard across the face, making him hit the stone ground hard.
"Say that again to my face! I dare ya'!" he shouted with anger, chest heaving. Immediately the laughter ceased as the friends became enraged.
"He hit Ryuu!"
"How dare that brat?!"
"We'll teach him!" They all shouted, starting to advance on the kid who cracked his knuckles.
"Bring it on! I'll make you all beg for mercy!" he shouted, a small smile coming to his lips.
It wasn't much later when every one of the men that surrounded him were passed out on the ground with bruises and burn marks littering their faces and moaning in pain, the fire on the kid's fist distinguishing as the last man dropped. He was about to leave when he saw a man standing behind him shrouded by a dark blue cloak, bright blue eyes staring down at him.
"Impressive." the man muttered under his breath. The child watched the man warily, crossing his arms across his chest, just waiting for him to say something along the lines about dragons being fake. "What's your name kid?" he asked instead, surprising him.
"What's it to you?" he asked suspiciously, eyeing him up and down. He heard the man sigh and take down the hood of his cloak revealing a bald head with a strange tattoo wrapping around his face.
"Untrusting, are we?" he asked, shaking his head. "Never mind that, my name is Hikiju and I belong to a guild called Death Bringer. You have some impressive magic, you know that kid? If it's trained just right, you can become a very strong mage." he said piping the kid's interest as he uncrossed his arms.
"What do you mean?" he asked, still a little wary of Hikiju.
"If you join my guild, you can get more power and there's more of a chance of finding your dragon." he said. Instantly the pinkette's eyes lightened up with hope, forgetting that he didn't fully trust this man.
"Are you serious?" he asked, Hikiju smiling and nodding.
"Yup, but first you need to tell me your name and then kill those men behind you before I bring you to my guild." he said. The child nodded, his hand catching on fire. Before he turned around to the unconscious men behind him, he smiled brightly up at Hikiju.
"Alright, my name's Natsu Dragneel!" he said happily.
Natsu awoke with a start, instantly sitting up on the bed and looking around him in slight panic, only for his gaze to stop at a familiar group of people standing at the end of his bed. He narrowed his eyes and fell back down, covering his head with the blanket. "Go away." he ordered in his usual monotone voice. He heard Gray 'tsk' from the end of his bed.
"I would if I could, but I can't so I shan't." came the grumbled reply. Natsu tugged the sheets harder around his head, making him curl into himself.
"You know, you've been asleep for two days." he heard Lucy remark with something he thought was close to worry. He didn't know why she was worrying over that since he did try to kill her friend and the fact that he was a feared assassin, so the worry he heard confused him more than it should.
"Surprise, surprise." he muttered to himself. It didn't surprise him that he slept for two days, which was the norm for him. He sometimes sleeps for a week, but then he has the consequence of not being able to sleep for a while after that too.
"What was that?" Erza asked. Natsu shifted a little under the blankets, a little surprised that she heard him but shook it off.
"It's normal for me to sleep that long." he said still hiding beneath the blankets that covered his vibrant pink hair.
"Really? That's weird." Lucy commented just as the covers over him were wrenched from his fist and thrown off the bed. Natsu looked out of the corner of his eye to see who the culprit was and saw that it was Erza. She let the sheets fall to the ground, some still in contact to the bed, but Natsu laid uncovered in his sweatshirt and shorts. He did nothing to move in the semi curled position he was in and averted his gaze from the red haired girl behind him to his fist that was in front of his face.
"You're not a child, so stop hiding like one." she demanded with crossed arms. Natsu choose to ignore her and instead hid his hands inside of the sweatshirt with his fingers barely poking out.
"He's sulking like one." Gray said, annoying Natsu a little, but he stayed silent anyway. He wasn't a talker much unless it was Happy, then he would talk all day to the little cat.
"Nee Natsuuu~! You forgot to buy me fish yet again! You're sooooo mean!"
The sudden voice of his friend cut through his head, making his eyes widen and for him to tense a little, breath hitched. The sudden image of a blue happy-go-lucky cat appeared in his head with a green little backpack and bright eyes to match a cheerful smile. Along with this image came certain urgency. He had to go back soon or he would kill Happy! He couldn't let that happen! Happy was the only thing that kept him sane in this little world of death he lived in!
"You have to let me go now!" he shouted, turning around and slamming against the barrier that confined him to the bed, his eyes wild as he slammed down his fist again. Everyone in the room was stunned as this was the first time he had shown emotion, but he didn't care, he had to go save Happy now! "Let me out! Let me out!" he shouted, nostrils flaring.
"W-What?" Erza stuttered in confusion, taking a step back as she stared down at Natsu in bewilderment.
"He'll kill Happy! He'll kill him! I can't let him kill Happy! So, let me out now!" he screeched, his fist banging on the barrier harder now.
"Who'll kill who?!" Gray shouted trying to get Natsu's attention to him. Natsu's panicked crazed eyes snapped towards him.
"King will kill Happy!"
