Its time for some more White Fang style fun, so lets get started shall we? Enjoy.
Honestly Fidelis could get use to these new sleeping arrangements. As his eyes opened the next morning he felt completely rested and noticed Neo still asleep latched onto his arm. It truly was an adorable sight to see a girl who he knew full well would have no problem killing someone with a smile on her face, look so damn innocent. He almost didn't want to get up, but alas he knew there was shit he had to do. And the first order of business for today was he had to go to a briefing about a mission he'd be taking part in that night.
Silently he tried to unlatch himself from Neo's deathgrip until he realized the futility of the endeavor. Reluctantly he shook her slightly to attempt to wake her. Her eye cracked open and she looked up at him, after a few more seconds instead of letting him go she wrapped her legs around one of his making it even more impossible to get out of her grasp.
Fidelis sighed. "Neo, we both have to go to this meeting." He stated firmly, she gave him a pouting look. "I know is BS but that's the job." She then use one hand to pull the blanket over her head. "Fine, if you let me go I'll take to out for ice cream again." That did the trick. Moments later his bathroom door shut and he could hear the shower going. He was confused for a few seconds before he remembered her semblance was teleporting.
"Well played." He muttered as he now had to wait to take a shower. "Save me some hot water!" He shouted.
1 hour later
After getting ready Fidelis made a quick stop to their makeshift cafeteria and grabbed some food before heading to the meeting room. As he opened the door he soon realized he was the first one there, so he pulled out his scroll and spent the next twenty minutes on the new program he got to learn sign language. Ozpin had made a great choice as the program was easy to follow and well explained.
The door soon opened and in walked Roman, Cinder, and her two stooges TweetleDip and TweetleShit. That was how he liked to refer to Emerald and Mercury sense he saw them as nothing but Cinder's trained lapdogs. Fidelis looked at the clock that was on the wall and smirked under his mask. "You know, I'm usually the one who's late to the meetings. Feels weird." He said shrugging before putting his scroll away.
Completely ignoring his comment Cider began speaking. "After tonight Emerald, Mercury, and I will be infiltrating Beacon under the guise of students from another school."
Fidelis took a sudden gasp of mock shock. "You mean I get to come home tonight and hear your voice. I just might cry myself to sleep tonight." He said in a fake sad tone gaining an annoyed stare from the woman. "I don't see why you guys need to be all cloak and dagger. I mean I manage to break into Beacon yesterday and it wasn't all that difficult."
"I'm aware. I'm also aware that sense your UNAPPROVED visit, they've doubled their security making this even more difficult." She practically yelled 'unapproved' at him. Fidelis had to fight the desire to take a bow. "Anyway, the main reason for this meeting is to discus tonight's mission. You, Roman, and Neo will be stealing a shipment of Atlas's new Paladins which are being stored in the Schnee Dust Company's Vale branch headquarters."
Fidelis actually perked up a bit, he'd seen some intel on those mechs and had wanted to play with one sense. "Neo and I will be handling the actual theft part of the operations." Roman piped in. "While you will be providing a distraction to keep their security busy. The Paladins are located in warehouse F which is in the western wing of the compound, this means your gonna need to created enough chaos to get all security in the whole damn place to come after you and not just those in the main wing."
Fidelis was quiet for a few seconds. "I'm gonna need a few things." He stated firmly though the joy in his voice was unmistakable. It was as if this mission was tailor made for him, this is what he lived for.
"What do you need?" Cinder asked.
Fidelis thought for a second. "I'm gonna need a large plain white T-shirt, a black sharpy marker, some crayons, a baseball bat, and a toaster." Mercury was about to ask what they were all thinking when Fidelis cut him off. "Oh, and a megaphone."
"You'll have them in an hour, but first tell me why." Roman asked.
"Well you see..."
That night
"Theres no way in hell this is ever gonna work." Roman said over the mic.
"Oh come on, have a little faith." Fidelis replied as he began walking towards the front entrance of the Schnee compound.
"Fine, when I give you the signal just do your thing. I'll let you know when we're done. It shouldn't take long if everything goes well." Roman said tiredly.
"Ight, I'll be waiting for your que." Fidelis pulled out his scroll deciding to kill some time by calling up a friend.
It rang for a few seconds. "Hello."
"Ozy! Whats up bra?" Fidelis could hear a slight sigh.
"Currently I'm having coffee with an old friend of mine, General Ironwood." This made Fidelis even happier.
"No shit? Sweet, tell him I'm sorry in advance." Fidelis said smiling.
"Sorry for what, might I asked?" Ozpin asked suspiciously.
"He'll know by tomorrow. Anyway thanks for the link from yesterday, its actually a great program." Fidelis threw in.
"Don't mention it. Is there any particular reason you called?" Ozpin asked.
"No not really just killing time. Oh by the way, could you tell my little bro not to worry about me or anyone else from our little group coming after him or his girlfriend? After sleeping on it I decided to let him do his thing, I do this cause its how I get my jollies and I'll let him do what he has to to get his. So I've sent a do not approach order to all my people so they wont be targeted by us." Fidelis explained slightly more serious.
There was a moment of silence. "I'll be sure to tell him, and I'd like to thank you on behalf of Miss Velvet." There was a small beep in Fidelis's ear signaling him to begin.
"Thanks Ozy, I got to go now. Later." He hung up and walked through the front doors of the building. The room he entered seemed to be a rather large lobby where you could see the second and third floors from the center. At first count there seemed to be about twenty people walking around doing their jobs.
The second he stepped through the doors he could tell all eyes were on him, and for good reason. At the moment he was wearing one of his spare masks which was colored orange, a large white T-shirt with the words 'NOT WHITE FANG' written across the front in permanent marker, and across his back was a metal baseball bat. In his left hand was a toaster, and in his right was a megaphone.
He held the megaphone up to his mouth. "Can I get some customer service please?" He said into the megaphone causing everyone in the room to cover their ears. A single security guard walked up from the side.
"How can I help you sir?" He asked politely.
"My toaster doesn't work." Said said through the megaphone to the man three feet away from him.
"Sir, the Schnee dust company doesn't manufacture toasters." He stated flatly.
"Then how do you explain this?" Fidelis asked holding up the toaster in his hands.
"Sir, thats just a toaster with Schnee misspelled on the side with crayon." The guard stated flatly again.
There was a moment of silence between the two before Fidelis lifted his arms into the air and slammed the toaster down onto the mans head knocking him out. "I demand satisfaction!" He yelled into the megaphone and pulled out his bat while everyone began screaming and panicking. "Anarchy!" He started screaming into the megaphone when more guards started to show up.
The guards all rushed him with batons raised but when they got close Fidelis swung the bat towards them which they tried to block. When the bat came into contact with one of the batons it shattered them. Fidelis shot forwards and grabbed one of the guards by the face and slammed him into the ground. "Tell me where I can find the bomb!" He yelled through the megaphone before hitting the floored man in the head with it destroying the megaphone and knocking the man out. "Damn now I'll never find that bomb!"
With Roman
Roman and Neo were currently in the process of of loading up the shipping container to the stealth bullhead that Cinder loaned them for this mission. A couple White fang grunts were hooking up the cables when Roman looked over at Neo who had a worried look on her face.
"Whats got you down?" He asked the girl.
She typed on her scroll. 'You thinks he'll be okay on his own?'
Roman read the message and smirked. "Aw how sweet, you've gone and grown fond of our little lunatic." Neo narrowed her eyes at him making him chuckle. "He'll be fine. That maniacs probably having the time of his life right now. And besides its not like a bunch of security guards have any chance at taking him down, hell from what I've seen nothing short of a hunter has any chance against him" He said looking back at the container. Another two or three minutes and they'll be done here.
"You know, I've never known you to become so attached to someone so quickly. Not to mention I've noticed where you've been spending your nights lately. But then again its none of my business what to adults do behind closed doors." He said letting out a laugh.
Neo's face turned bright red and she started waving her hands back and forth before typing. 'NO WE DON"T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT!' This caused Roman to begin laughing even harder, making her turn even redder. Roman smiled, contrary to popular belief he actually did have a heart so he was happy that Neo and Fidelis were getting along so well.
"So has he asked you out yet? Knowing him he probably has no clue as to how to ask a girl out but hey." Roman asked her to which she shook her head face still red. "Do you want him to?" She didn't respond. Roman sighed. "Teenagers." He muttered before walking over to the bullhead and hopping in. He pulled out a small radio. "Hey Fidelis, I hate to interrupt your fun but it's about time we left." There was a few seconds of silence.
"Really? Already? I was just starting to have fun, the robots just showed up." Fidelis whined over the mic. "Fine, I'll see you back at base." There was a brief sound of explosions and gunfire before the feed cut out.
Beacon Academy
Rideat was currently lying under a tree in the courtyard with Velvet's head resting on his shoulder. They had been studying when Velvet fell asleep and Rideat didn't have the heart to wake her. After telling her about who he was before he quit the White Fang he thought she'd be angry at him for being apart of the reason why she and all other faunus were treated so badly, but she didn't get angry. She told him that she understood why he did those things and didn't blame him at all.
She was a bit surprised to hear that his brother was the infamous 'White Mask' and even more surprised to hear that he knew all about her and tried to use her as leverage against him. He swore to her that he'd never let Fidelis get anywhere near her but in his mind he wasn't so sure he could live up to that promise. Rideat knew that he was by no means weak but if he had to go up against his older brother he wasn't sure if he could beat him. Velvet said she wasn't worried about it but that didn't set his mind at ease.
While he was thinking he noticed someone enter the courtyard silently trying to stick to the shadows, though because of his semblance it was next to impossible to sneak up on the blind hunter. "What do you want Belladonna?" He said as he got up and gently laid Velvet against the tree. "I thought we agreed to stay away from each other."
"I want to know where the Fang's current base is." Blake said flatly walking out of the shadows.
Rideat didn't bother turning to face her, not that he really needed to. "Why would I have any clue where they're located?"
"It was him who broke into the school the other night right? There are only two reasons why he'd come here, and seeing as he didn't come for me that leaves you." She said in a clearly angry tone. Blake always hated Fidelis, and it seemed that being his little brother earned him some of the disdain as well.
"I don't know where they are. Even if I did know and I told you what would you do?" Rideat turned to her. "Would go down their all by yourself and try to take them all down alone? You don't stand a chance against Fidelis and we both know it." He argued to the younger girl.
"Then what are we suppose to do? Wait for him and Torchwick to do whatever their planning?" She argued back.
"We? There is no 'we'. I put that life behind me, it not my job to deal with them and its not yours either." He countered.
Blake was practically fuming with frustration. "So you'd just let them continue hurt more people and giving us a bad na-" She was cut off.
"Don't give me that shit. Your as stupid as my brother if you think I'm gonna buy the whole 'I'm doing this to protect people' shtick. I know your really doing all this for Adam. Even after everything he did to you, all those times I'd pretend not to notice the bruises on you body or the tears in your eyes after leaving his presence. You know I use to feel bad for you, in fact when we were younger I had a crush on you and it would hurt me inside every time I saw you run back to him only to end up getting hurt again. Now all I see is a pathetic little girl who can't let go of her love for an even more pathetic excuse for a man." In anger Blake charged forward bringing her blade down in a vertical slash only for Rideat to catch the blade with his metal hand. "Your little boyfriend and my brother are lost causes. He doesn't love you Blake, the sooner you get that through your thick skull the better." He growled in a low voice while still holding the blade in his hand.
"Riddy?" He heard from the side. Blake looked over to see Velvet now awake looking at them with worried eyes. "Whats going on?"
Blake pulled back and replaced he weapon on her back. Rideat turned to his girlfriend. "We were just talking about the past Vel." Rideat said in a softer tone. Blake turned and began walking away. "There's an old warehouse where they've been recruiting and hand out orders to lower ranking members, its on the eastern side of town and has the usual path markers. That's all I know." Rideat said to Blakes turned back.
"Thank you." She said as she continued to walk.
"Don't thank me, Fidelis will tear you apart if he catches you there. One more thing, I love Velvet. I love her more than I can put into words, it's because of this that I can tell you that any man who truly loves someone would never do anything to hurt that person, physically or other wise." And with those words she had left. Rideat walked over to Velvet and hugged her. He was quiet for a few seconds. "Hey Vel, can I ask you something?"
"Of course." Velvet replied in a gentle voice.
"Is it bad that I don't hate him?" He asked in a tired voice.
"No, he's your brother. It'd be bad if you did." She said causing him to smile.
They began to head towards the dorms hand in hand. "So, CarrotLover62?"
"Shut up." Velvet said punching his shoulder.
With Fidelis
"And then I hit him with the toaster!" Fidelis said in a slurred voice throwing his arm over Roman who was both drunk and laughing. After they got back to base they decided to head over to juniors club to celebrate. Neo was dancing while Roman and Fidelis were at the bar drinking. Fidelis wasn't wearing his mask and Roman got a good look at his face. Fidelis said that he considered Roman cool enough to see his face and not tell anyone.
"I still can't believe that worked." Roman said laughing. Neo walked over to them from the dance floor and sat down next to them.
"Neo! Here have a drink." Fidelis said happily pouring her a small glass, she looked at it and thought about last time. She pushed the glass away. "Fine more for me!" Fidelis downed the drink, he'd already had quite a few drinks and immediately passed out. Roman began laughing even harder and Neo just sighed. She ordered a glass of water and threw it on his face waking him up. She helped him up and she let him lean on her.
She typed on her scroll and showed it to Roman. 'I'm taking him back to base.'
"Alright, don't go doing anything naughty when you get to bed tonight." Roman said letting out another laugh causing Neo to turn red. Neo lead Fidelis to an exit and hailed a cab who took them to a location a few blocks away from the base. Using her semblance she took them the rest of the way and got them back to base quickly.
Seconds after they entered his or more specifically 'their' room Fidelis passed out on the bed. Neo took a second to catch her breath before she looked at Fidelis's sleeping form. She smile a bit before heading into the bathroom to take a quick shower and get in her pajamas. After a few minutes she exited the bath room to find Fidelis hadn't moved and inch. She crawled over him and took her place under the covers.
As she closed her eyes she heard Fidelis mumble something. "Goodnight Neo."
Another chapter down. I got a head ache so im going to bed. LATER.
