Fidelis and Yatsuhashi both charged towards each other, Yatsu brought his sword down with a powerful swing and Fidelis lifted his Gunbai to shield himself. When the sword made contact with with the fan a large crater was form beneath both fighters, however neither one of them gave an inch. Fidelis pushed the large blade upward and thrust his fist forward planting it directly into Yatsu's gut. Yatsu responded by bringing his elbow down onto Fidelis's head.
Fidelis jumped backwards putting some distance between the two of them. He rubbed the back of his head a bit. "Shit, that actually hurt a bit. You pack quite the punch big guy." He said to Yatsuhashi.
"Your quite strong yourself." Yatsu responded.
"Well sense theres no way I'll beat you in a contest of raw power I guess I'll mix things up a bit." Fidelis began hopping in place, Rideat knowing what was about to happen tried to yell out to warn his fried but it was to late. Fidelis dashed forward at a much greater speed than before taking Yatsuhashi by surprise. Fidelis swung his fan edge first towards the tall fighters head who barely managed to bring his own weapon up to block the attack. When the two weapons clashed Fidelis thrusted his left arm towards Yatsuhashi's gut with his fingers extended so that the gauntleted arm could rip into the tall boy.
Yatsu saw this coming and jumped back just in time to only have his aura grazed by the claws. Fidelis swung his Gunbai in Yatsu's direction sending a heavy gust of wind at the boy forcing him to plant his blade into the ground to keep himself from being blown away. Fidelis then dashed forward again with the same speed from before and jumped into the air and landed on the blade that was still on the ground. Before he could react Yatsu took a quick kick to the side of the head which caused him to stumble to the side slightly. By the time he was able to regain his bearings Fidelis had pulled his sword out of the ground and was wielding it in his left hand and his Gunbai in his right.
Fidelis rested the fan on his shoulder and lifted the blade pointing the tip towards its owner. Yatsuhashi frowned at the sight of another person wielding his blade, to most warriors handling anothers weapon without permission was likely fooling with another mans woman. Needless to say he wasn't happy. He charged forward sending a punched aimed at Fidelis's head who sidestepped the attack and countered by bringing Yatsu's down in a powerful swing which made direct contact with Yatsu's shoulder sending him to the ground. He followed this by stomping his foot into the tall boys back causing a crater to appear.
Fidelis was laughing loudly as all of this went down. Just as he was about to bring the blade down on the tall boys neck to kill him he remembered what was going on. "ENOUGH!" He heard Rideat yell from the sidelines as the blade planted itself in the ground next to Yatsu's neck. "The winner is Fidelis." Rideat called out.
Fidelis was panting lightly, it was a good match. It had been a while sense he had to abandon his usual way of doing things and use one of the techniques his father taught him. By using his semblance to create a strong wind against the bottom of his feet with each step he could triple his normal speed, however this was only good for short bursts as it took a good bit of concentration to do as well as a lot of precision. This meant it wasn't something he could use when sprinting long distances. Another problem was that he had an incredibly hard time changing direction while using the technique.
Fidelis walked over to where the rabbit girl had placed his bag and started looking through it until he pulled out a small vial filled with a blue liquid and had an injector at the bottom. He jammed the needle into his arm and the blue liquid drained into his body. Almost immediately he could feel his aura recharge back to full. It was a chemical that had been developed years ago for hunters in the field who were running low on aura in the middle of battle, not as many people use it anymore because if you don't have a large enough natural aura reserve then the stuff can be harmful to your body. Luckily Fidelis has a very large amount of aura, so he wouldn't need to worry about the side effects unless he uses to much of the stuff.
"Okay then lets see." Fidelis took a second to look over the remaining 7 students. "Hm. I think I'll take Headphones over there." He pointed towards Nick. Nick took off his headphones turning them into a pair of yoyos and walked to the center of the room. Fidelis smiled under his mask after seeing the boys weapon. "This should be interesting. Yo bunny girl." He called out getting Velvets attention, he then pulled out his scroll and tossed it to her. "Go to my music and hit random." He then made his way to the center of the building across from Nick who was glaring at Fidelis. She did as asked and Alive N Out Of Control by a old band from Vacuo called Papa Roach started playing. "Perfect."
"You ready to go dog boy?" Nick asked anxious to fight him.
"Hey, Im a dingo. Racist much?" Fidelis said with a chuckle.
"Fight!"
Nick made the first move by throwing one of his yoyos at Fidelis which Fidelis was easily able to sidestep, however when Nick pulled the string on the yoyo there was a strong sonic boom that went off right next to Fidelis disorienting him. Nick took this time to swing his other yoyo towards Fidelis who barely had enough time to lift his fan to block the attack, another sonic boom hit the flat side of the fan causing him to slide back a few feet. Fidelis then tried to stand up to retaliate but lost his balance and fell to his knee.
"You feel that don't you?" Nick said with a smirk. "Your feeling pretty dizzy right now aren't you? Can't get your balance either right? Thats because of the damage I just caused to your inner ear. It's not permanent but it'll keep you off your feet long enough for me to finish you off." He ran towards the kneeling Fidelis with both yoyos in hand and was about to bring his hand down for a direct impact on Fidelis's head, Fidelis rammed his shoulder into Nicks chest sending them both to the floor.
"Don't get cocky you little twerp." He said forcing himself onto his knees again.
"Tag, your it." Nick said letting out a laugh. He threw both the yoyos into the air and they immediately shot towards Fidelis who was forced to use his wind to jump away from his current position barely getting out of the shock waves radius. He ran to the side forcing the flying sonic yoyos to follow him and stopped suddenly and swung his fan making solid contact with both of the orbs causing a massive shock wave that sent Fidelis back first into the wall.
Fidelis picked himself up, he was panting and a stream of blood was trickling down the side of his head. "Now this, this is what I live for. Tell kid, why do you hate me? I can see it in your eyes."
Nick who at this point had also picked himself up and had retrieved his yoyos glared at Fidelis. "My name isn't kid, its Nick Alto of the Alto family. The same Alto family that was nearly wiped out by the white fang."
"Yeah, I've heard of your family. I should have guessed by the look of your weapon, your family always did have a thing for odd weapons. Though that doesn't explain why you hate me in particular. I had no part in killing your family and you clearly have no hate for my brother over there or Belladonna seeing as your helping protect her right now. That tells me that you don't hate everyone involved with the Fang. So tell me, whats the real reason you hate me." He said chuckling lowly.
"Your right, I don't hate everyone in the White Fang. I know most of your members are only with you because they want equality which is something I can understand. But you, from what Rideat has told us about you its clear that you only want to cause chaos. And people like you need to just DIE!" Nick rushed in and threw his left yoyo into the air while he spun his right one like a wrecking ball. Fidelis tried to dodge the homing ball above him but soon found that everytime he was able to get away from it he'd nearly get hit by a direct attack from Nick himself.
This went on like a game of cat and mouse for a good thirty seconds before Fidelis had had enough. "LETS END THIS!" He used his dashing technique and got into Nicks face and grabbed a hold of his shirt. Nick brought both his yoyos down onto Fidelis who made no attempt to dodge and took the full force of the attacks. Fidelis was bruised and bloodied and was nearly in the red on aura. He looked up at Nick who had also taken a good bit of damage from his own attack, Fidelis smirked under his mask. He leaned his head back then brought it forward while pulling on Nicks shirt as well. He slammed his forehead into Nicks so hard it knocked him to the floor a caused him to slide a few feet.
"The winner is Fidelis." Rideat called out from the sidelines. Fidelis fell to one knee and used his Gunbai as a cane to keep himself from completely falling to the floor.
"Damn, I forgot how exhausting it was to fight without killing your enemies." He said panting heavily. He was tired and he couldn't use that serum again so soon or it could cause an overdose. "Yo bunny girl, toss me my scroll." Velvet did as she was asked and threw the scroll to him. He checked it and saw he had one message from Neo.
'Warehouse was attacked and we lost a paladin. Don't return to the warehouse instead go to safehouse B. We'll get further orders there. Also make sure you make it back safe alright.' He read the message and sighed.
"Well shit." He looked over towards Rideat who was helping move his unconscious teammate off to the side with his other teammates. "Yo Rid, whatever Belladonna was doing is over now. We lost one of our warehouses thanks to the little bitch, so unless you still want to keep me here Im gonna go home." He said as he struggled to get to his feet.
"Guys go ahead and take Nick and Yatsuhashi back to the school and have them checked out." Teams CFVY and GRIN nodded and they all left leaving only the two brothers in the warehouse.
"If your gonna fight me I'll go ahead and let you know it won't be very fun, I'm having a hard time just staying on my feet right now. Im pretty sure that Alto kid blew out one of my eardrums." He said gesturing to his bleeding ear.
"Fidelis please stop this."
"Stop what?" Fidelis replied.
"Constant battle and chaos won't change what happened to you, its time you realized that and got yourself some help. Im begging you, Ozpin will surely understand and try to help you out to." Before he could continue Fidelis spoke up.
"You and I both know that Im a lost cause little bro, damaged goods. I know none of this will change anything but its the only thing I know." He said removing his mask.
There was silence for a moment until Rideat chuckled a little. "So whose the girl?" This cause Fidelis to flinch a bit. "I can smell her all over you, she smells like ice cream."
"Don't worry about it." Fidelis said slightly aggravated.
Rideat let out one of his laughs before grabbing the bottle of whiskey out of Fidelis's bag and made his way to the exit. "Maybe your not as broken as you think Fide."
Warehouse B
Fidelis limped through the back door of the warehouse and saw people running around in all direction moving things and getting things put away. Off to the side he saw Roman and Neo standing next to a bullhead. Using his Gunbai as a crutch he hobbled over to the two. "So what kind of party did I miss?" He said getting both their attentions. Neo instantly looked a bit worried and ran over to him and started looking over him for any wounds. "Don't worry Im fine. Nothing but some bruises and a damaged eardrum." While this got her to calm down a bit she still had a frown on her face.
"Damn you look like you've been through the ringer." Roman said as he continued to smoke his cigar.
"Well I actually won this time so I call it even." He said with a chuckle. Before he could say more Neo grabbed his arm and began dragging him off to the stairs. After going down two flights and a lot of complaining they entered an empty room with a bed and a bathroom connected to it. Neo sat him down on the bed, removed his mask the way he showed her, and went into the bath room before emerging with a first aid kit. She began patching up his ear ignoring his complaints. "Ah shit, that stings." he said when she began wrapping up the ear in bandages.
"You know, your bed side manner leaves a lot to be desired." He said earning him a jab to the ribs. "Anyway about what I wanted to ask you." She looked up at him and he lifted his hands and began signing. 'You wanna be my girl?' He asked with his hands causing her eyes to widen before tearing up a bit. She then lunged towards him and kissed him and he returned in kind. After a few seconds a broke away. "So is that a yes?" She smiled and nodded. "Well then, you wanna get some ice cream tomorrow to celebrate?"
This got her excited and she nodded frantically before getting off him and going into the bathroom and closed the door. Fidelis heard the water from the shower start and just leaned back onto the bed and stared up at the ceiling with a smile on his face.
