Alright before we get started I'd like to give a shout out to Mojo1586 for allowing me to use his OC Joel Ambrose from his story Team AMBR: Finding Redemption. Its one of the best damn OC based RWBY stories I've ever read and I've read plenty so do yourselves a favor and go check it out right after your done reading this chapter. Seriously I'm not even kidding, go check it out, it got romance, and violence, and all kinds of good shit so show him some support. Enjoy.

Fidelis was spending his afternoon taking part in one of his favorite pass times, giving his recruits a good old torture/training session. They'd been going non-stop for about three and a half hours now and the recruits looked ready to drop from exhaustion. Letting out a sigh Fidelis shouted. "Alright ladies that enough for today, go get some rest."

As if on que half of them collapsed where they stood while they other half were vomiting up what ever they had at lunch. Fidelis noticed a couple of the more seasoned members who had taken part in training were standing in a small circle, out of the three he could only remember the name of one of them. Seeing nothing better to do he walked over.

"Yo Jin, what are ya'll chatting about?" Fidelis asked. He was bored, really bored. With Neo and Roman down in Mt. Glenn and Adam still busy at another branch Fidelis was left without anyone to hang with. Hell he even missed pissing off her bitchyness but she was incognito at Beacon.

Jin tensed up a bit when he heard Fidelis call him by name. "Oh nothing sir! We were just talking about playing some poker tonight."

Fidelis paused for a moment. "Poker huh? That doesn't actually sound to bad. Mind if I join in?"

Jin was a bit nervous when he heard this as were his friends. They respected their CO a lot but they also knew he bit unstable and were slightly afraid of the guy. "Uh sure, why not." Jin said scratching the back of his head nervously.

"Great! Tonight at 8 we'll play in the command room, I'll bring the drinks." He said before walking off.

"Yeah, great." Jin said weakly as he was still registering what was going on.

Hours later

Fidelis was sitting at the main table in the command room with his scroll out playing a game of tetris. It was a very little known fact but Fidelis had a bit of an addiction to the game, at the moment he was the online high score holder for the game in Vale. He heard a knock at the door and put the game away before going to open it.

On the other side were Jin and his two friends. "Welcome gentlemen, lets play some cards." He said letting the three in. Normally only the higher ups are allowed in the command room but seeing as how Fidelis is currently the ranking officer at the base he decided make an exception.

He walked back to he seat at the table and poured himself a glass of scotch, the brand was called Blackwood and was a very high quality drink. The three entered and sat down, they looked a bit nervous while Jin set up the game and handed out the chips. "You guys need to calm down a bit, chill out I'm not gonna bite your heads off or anything. Have some boozes and lets have a good time."

The three seemed to relax a bit at this. Jin passed out all the chips and the cards. "Alright, the buy in is a hundred Lien and the first annie will be five Lien." Everybody place their money on the table and annied up.

One of the guys poured a glass while everyone looked at their cards. "So, did you guys here about those damned Red Hand bastards attacking a peaceful faunus rights demonstration? They claimed the we were involved when we didn't have anything to do with it. They killed six people, two of which were police officers." Said the one Fidelis thought was named Rallen.

"I admit we White Fang aren't saints but those Red Hand assholes and their Trappers are pure evil." Added Max as he raised a few Lien on the hand.

Fidelis had decided that instead of wearing his regular mask that covers his whole face to wear one of the basic masks that are more commonly used by members of the fang. The reason for this was so that he wouldn't seem as intimidating and he could drink easier. "Your right, the Red Hand is evil though they weren't always the boogie men they are now. But I'll give them credit, they know how to train a soldier." He said taking a sip before folding his hand. He had nothing that hand.

"What do you mean sir?" Jin asked.

"You can drop the sir, we're off the clock in my book. And to answer your question I'm talking about their Trappers. Those bastards are tough son of bitches, if I had to guess I'd say their training makes what I put you guys through look like childs play. Only had the pleasure of fighting one once before, the fucker nearly took me out." Fidelis said with a laugh as Jin dealt another hand.

Rallen was slack jawed. "You mean you've actually fought a Trapper before and survived?!" It was generally known that if you were ever unlucky enough to run into a Trapper then you were as good as dead.

Fidelis looked at his cards and raised another five Lien. "Yeah, nearly died to. What I wouldn't give for another round with him, I wounder if he's still alive."

"If you don't mind my asking, how did you end up fighting against a Trapper?" Max asked pouring a glass of liquor.

Fidelis chuckled as he thought back on the event. "Well it all happened about two years ago at one of our former bases near Mt. Hiei..."

Flashback

Fidelis was currently leaning back in his chair in the comms room of their makeshift base at the base of the mountain. He was in the process trying to track down where Rideat might have run off to. It had only been a few months sense the Hyena faunus left but Fidelis still preferred to know where he was, although he wasn't having much luck. As he was looking over Rideats bank accounts for any clues the power in the base went out. This had happened a few times before so he wasn't alarmed, more annoyed than anything. "Hey Fide, I need you to go down to storage and get a new power cell for the generator. The damn thing must have blown out again. I swear this place is more trouble than it's worth." Complained one of his fellow officers and head of this base, Magnuss.

Fidelis sighed as he stood up and walked to the door opening it and heading into the pitch black hallway. "Wouldn't it be easier to just by a new generator, or better yet find a new place to set up shop? Come on Mag, this place is a shit hole." He groaned as he walked down the dark hallway. The dark didn't bother him, like many faunus he could see perfectly well in the dark. Add that with his masks multiple vision settings and light and dark became pretty much irrelevant, he could see fine whether in pitch darkness or surrounded by smoke.

"Sure, I'll just go buy a new generator from the local store and carry it all the way back here to the middle of bumfuck nowhere. Why didn't I think of that." Magnuss retorted.

Fidelis chuckled at this. "That kinda reinforces my whole 'this place is a shit hole' thing I said earlier. Forget it I'm almost at storage, I'll be up there in a few minutes. Fidelis out." He said before flipping off his wireless communicator located inside his mask. He pushed open the door to the storage room which was full of large crates filled with all kinds of things from dust, to weapons, to food.

Fidelis walked over to a shelf on the wall and opened a box on it before pulling out a plastic rectangular thing. He was about to make his way towards the door when he heard something that wasn't there a few moments ago. There was a light ticking sound coming from the back of the room. Fidelis being curious by nature started looking for the source after a few seconds of looking he realized it was coming the other side of the back wall. He place the side of his head against the wall and listened.

Tick, tick, tick.

Fidelis stood back up. "You know if I didn't know better I'd say that sounded like a bomb." He said with a chuckle as he turned to walk away before realization hit him. "Oh fu-" The back wall exploded inwards sending a large rock that hit Fidelis in the back sending him flying into a large pile of crates destroying most of them. The only thing that saved Fidelis from being killed by the rock was his Gunbai which was stuck to his back.

"Go, go, go! Red one through four, head to the command center. Five through ten, hit the barracks. Terminate all contacts!" Fidelis heard shouted in a clearly masked voice.

After a second to regain his bearings Fidelis pulsed his aura sending all the debris on top of him flying as he stood up. On instinct he pulled his fan off his back and held it in front of him blocking a volley of automatic fire. After a few moments the fire stopped and Fidelis looked over the side of his fan and saw a group of men who were all dress in the same uniform except for the one in the back of the group who was wearing armor and a helmet with a red fist painted across the faceplate.

"You guys do know we have a front door right?" Fidelis deadpanned. Though he'd never run into them before himself he knew instantly that these guys were most likely apart of the Red Hand, and the guy in the armor was probably a Trapper. Fidelis smiled under his mask, he'd always wanted to fight a Trapper.

"Go, complete your objectives. I'll take care of this one." The Trapper said stepping forward.

"Sir!" The other men said in unison before taking off towards the door. Fidelis made no attempt to stop them, they didn't interest him in the least. He knew Magnuss could take care of himself if need be, so he didn't see any point in worrying.

The Trapper pulled out a metal cylinder and Fidelis pointed his Gunbai at the man. The cylinder extended on both side becoming what he could only think to describe as being a big metal tooth pick, the tips of which looked razor sharp. They stood there in silence for a few more seconds just staring at each other.

Fidelis made the first move and charged forward swinging the edge of his fan towards the Trapper who dodged to the side and thrust his stick towards Fidelis. The attack missed his neck by a few millimeters and he did a back flip to put a bit of distance between but when he was in mid air he saw a few knives flying towards him.

Fidelis barely had enough time to lifted his fan to block the knives. Once he landed he grabbed one of the knives that had been embedded into the flat of his Gunbai and dashed forward using his wind to increase his speed, he pointed the knife towards the Trappers chest when all of a sudden his body went numb for a second as a huge jolt of electricity shot through his body. It only took an instant to realize it was coming from the knife and he let go but the Trapper had already made his move. Taking advantage of his moment of paralysis the Trapper swiped his stick down towards his target but Fidelis reacted quicker than he thought.

Fidelis stepped to the side just quick enough to avoid a fatal wound to the chest and instead escaped with a deep gash in his left bicep, he swung his Gunbai sending a powerful blast of wind sending the Trapper back through the hole that had been blown into the building. Fidelis walked to the opening and looked out upon the outside landscape. They were located at the bottom of a mountain, it was dark out sense it was nearly midnight and there was a thick layer of snow everywhere. He looked up into the sky and saw the countless number of stars out. At any other time he'd stop to marvel at the beauty of the scenery but he saw the Trapper picking himself back up out of the snow.

Fidelis smiled, this was turning out as good as he could have hoped for. "You know, when I woke up this morning I thought this day was gonna suck, but I get to fight someone who knows what their doing and theres a high probability that I'll never have to see the crappy base again sense you guys have found it. All in all I'd say todays been pretty good." Fidelis said letting out a laugh while ignoring the wound on his arm which was bleeding profusely, his aura would stop the bleeding soon enough and a little pain just got him more excited.

The Trapper lifted his hands and began removing his helmet, when it came off Fidelis could see it was a kid no older than sixteen with white hair. "A white mask that covers your whole face and changes your voice to sound demonic. Wielding a large Gunbai war fan and possessing the ability to manipulate wind. Add this all with the psychotic demeanor and lack of any care about personal harm or death. Your Fidelis The Dead Wind correct?" The boy asked readying himself once more.

"Well I don't know about the whole 'Dead Wind' thing but yeah thats me. Honestly Im surprised you know who I am." Fidelis said with a chuckle.

"We have a bounty of one hundred thousand Lien for anyone who can take your head. Not to mention extra rewards from dozens of high ranking officials and rich families who you've wronged. We've been able to link you to over fifty three deaths. Your a monster." He practically spat this information at Fidelis.

"Flattery will get you nowhere with me kid. Are you sure you should be taking off the helmet of yours?" Fidelis said smiling under his mask.

"The helmet main purpose is intimidation, your not the kind of opponent that would work on so its pointless." The kid looked like he was pretty much done talking.

Fidelis sighed. "I get the feeling only one of us is gonna be leaving here alive so I guess I'll follow your lead." Fidelis lifted his hands and removed his mask revealing his face and tossed the mask at the kids feet. "Before we continue I'd like to know your name, so if I die I'll know who killed me."

The kid hesitated for a moment. "Joel, Joel Ambrose."

"Nice name." Fidelis then snapped his fingers a light on his mask lit up causing Joel to jump back just before the mask exploded. Before Joel could fully regain his bearings Fidelis was already almost on top of him. Joel thrust his staff towards Fidelis's gut but was surprised when it was met with resistance that swatted it to the side. Fidelis had created a thin barrier of wind around him, not enough to stop an attack but strong enough to swat aside attacks that were slowed down by the aura barrier beneath the wind barrier.

This created an opening and Fidelis took it by ramming his aura imbued fist into the young Trappers gut causing him to double over. Fidelis capitalized by bringing his Gunbai down between Joels shoulder blades sending him to the ground. Fidelis decide to finish by stomping on Joels wrist forcing him to release his weapon which Fidelis picked up.

Fidelis began looking over the weapon. "It's a tad boring for my tastes but I think I'll keep it as a trophy." He said with a chuckle.

"Like hell." He heard from the ground just before Joel grabbed onto his ankle and let out another jolt of electricity that was far stronger than the first. Joel than rolled onto his back and sweeped Fidelis's leg from underneath him and pick himself back up before retrieving his weapon in a blur of movement. He jumped backwards and fell to one knee panting. "Take that you prick." He said between breaths.

Fidels just laid there twitching slightly from the shock but other wise not moving. Joel picked himself up with some effort. Using his semblance to create voltage that high did a number on him as well as his opponents even with his resistance to it. That added with the at least three broken ribs from that punch he took and he was pretty banged up. "That was tougher than I'd hoped it would be." He was about to turn and head into the complex again to help his squad when he heard light chuckling.

"That was pretty good kid. You nearly killed me with that shock, but instead you've gone and killed yourself." As he said this a huge torrent of wind began to swirl around him as he picked himself up off the ground. Joel was having a hard time staying where he was with the gale force winds around him that were tearing into the ground around them and completely blew away all the snow. "That shock just now should have killed me but if I had to guess I'd say the limiter in my chest reduced it just enough to save me."

"Limiter?" Joel said as he stabbed his stick into the ground to keep him stable.

"Yeah, you see Im a bit special. When I was a kid I performed a force opening of my aura leaving me with a very large amount and a very powerful aura. However I can't really control it and if Im not careful It could tear me apart just as easily as it does my enemies. To prevent this I had a limiter surgically put into my chest to limit and stabilize my aura to a safe degree. The shock you sent into me probably overloaded the limiter causing my Aura to flow freely. Sorry to say but we're gonna need to end this quickly, its been so long that Im not sure if I can control it." Fidelis said as the winds died down a bit.

Fidelis dashed forward far quicker than before and sent a punch towards Joels head though Joel managed to dodge it. The punch sent a powerful gust of wind behind them which uprooted a tree. Joel brought his up into Fidelis's gut but was stopped by a much stronger barrier than before.

Joel put a bit of distance between them and tried to think of a plan, this wasn't a good situation. He was banged up, running low on aura, and facing an incredibly powerful foe who didn't care about his own life. Joel reach into his pocket for his last resort, he pulled out a small vial filled with dust and crushed it in his hand. The glass cut into his hand and the dust seeped into the wound. After a few moment he felt a surge of energy through out his body. Knowing it wouldn't last long he pointed his hand towards Fidelis and sent a powerful arc of lighting towards him.

Fidelis blocked the attack with a blast of wind himself. The two of them began clashing in a battle of the elements and both were on a time limit. Joel charge his fist with aura for one last attack and Fidelis did the same. Their fists met with a large explosion of energy. Fidelis could feeling the electricity surging through his body, and Joel could feel the the wind cutting into him all over his body surely creating new scars.

After a brief power struggle there was a moment of peace where the two men made eye contact before they were both blown backwards. Fidelis was sent towards the building crashing through walls, while Joel was sent flying into the forest near the base. Fidelis sat in the rubble for a moment before trying to pick himself up. He managed to get to his feet but moments later he fell to his knees and lost consciousness.

Back to the present

In the time that Fidelis was telling the story Jin and Rallen had both lost all their chips and were now enthralled with the story. "So what happen to the Trapper?" Jin asked on the edge of his seat.

"I never found out. I woke up in a medical bay a week later, apparently old man Magnuss had managed to kill half the enemy before they took off. We lost about twenty guys that day. He found me and got me on a emergency ship to the nearest hospital for treatment. We had to pay the president of the hospital a pretty sum of money to keep quite and treat me. When I woke up I had a new limiter implanted inside my chest and was informed about what went down. After searching the forest they never found the kids body so I still don't know if that little bastard lived." Fidelis said with a chuckle. "Man what I'd give for a rematch though."

Max showed his hand with a smile. "Three of a kind." He said happily.

Fidelis grinned. "Full house." Taking the pile of chips victoriously. He claimed the pot with a smile. "Good game gentlemen, we should this again next week." He said with a laugh which the other three joined in. It seems today wasn't that bad after all.

There we go another chapter down and damn it was a long one for me. I hope you guys liked it, and seriously go check out that story I promise you wont be disappointed. Anyway I got a headache so Im going to bed. LATER.
