Hey guys… well, this is the last regular chapter. There's a short epilogue, but that's it.

This part has been long overdue. Enjoy!

Song – No You Girls – Franz Ferdinand

. . . . . . . . . . .

After four days, I had to do something. I just panicked slightly, I guess.

It really had seemed like a good idea at the time.

I wasn't capable of watching her suffer and doing nothing about it though. This was different than after the whole Jane debacle. Without her work, and it just not being do-able anymore for her to really go out on her own, I knew that she was spending the majority of her time at home, with Zeus, writing.

And I knew that it was something she needed to do, so though I hated seeing her subject herself to it, I had to let her.

And the only time I really got to spend with her was when I slept.

I should have just waited the week. One more week and it would have been over. But I couldn't do it.

Like I said, I may have panicked a little. But when I walked into the Humane Society and I saw him, it was like the universe was just giving me a giant blinking sign. It seemed perfect, at the time.

But as I pulled in through the gate, I wasn't quite so sure anymore. This is one of those things that you're supposed to like, talk about first. Shit, she could get like, really pissed off about this. And we were leaving for our wedding in three weeks. Then the honeymoon.

Shit.

I pulled into the garage. Once I turned off the engine, I undid my seatbelt and looked down at the carrier next to me. The tiny white and grey malamute husky puppy with ice-blue eyes was gnawing happily on the wires of the door.

I groaned, banging my head on my steering wheel three times before I grabbed the handle, and got out of the truck.

I walked through the house, and found Bella out on the back patio. Her laptop was on the table in front of her, closed, and she had her knees drawn up to her chest, her forehead resting against them. Zeus was curled up under her chair, it was a little impressive that he managed to fit himself there. Though he heard me come out, his ears and eyes perking up, she did not. His tail started thumping excitedly on the ground as he looked up, but he stayed where he was when I held out my hand for him to be still.

He was so well trained.

The puppy was not.

He started barking excitedly, shifting and wiggling around in the crate and almost making me drop it.

Bella's head whipped up as she jumped in surprise.

She stared at me with wide eyes as I set down the crate. I just ripped off the Band-Aid and opened the door.

Jesus, I hope she'll still marry me. I was dizzy from holding my breath.

Bella gasped, her hands clapping over mouth, starring at the puppy as he bounced around Zeus, barking excitedly while the giant dog just sat there, his tail whipping around like crazy as he tried to smell him.

"Edward? What… whose dog is this?" She asked in a strained voice.

I couldn't read the emotion in her eyes.

"Er… y-" I coughed to clear my throat. "Yours. Well, ours, I guess"

"You… bought me a puppy?" She whispered. I nodded.

"He's six months old, fixed, has all his shots. They think he's a malamute… His name is Titan."

Her eyes watered, and spilled over. She leaned over and held out her hand. Titan stopped his bouncing to smell her, then started licking her hand, making her laugh. When he made a little whining sound, wiggling around excitedly, her face split with the most brilliant, happy smile before she picked him up, laughing when he started licking her face.

I finally exhaled, letting myself breathe.

"Edward! Oh my god, he's so cute!" She practically squealed, laughing as she covered his face in kisses.

"So you like him? You're not mad?" I asked hopefully, walking the rest of the way over to her. She shook her head frantically, still crying, and set the fluffy puppy down before practically pouncing on me, and coving my face in kisses.

"No! Thank you! Oh my god, I love him, I love you! Thank you Edward!"

I laughed. "Oh my god, I've never seen you act like such a girl before."

She smacked me in the back of the head before kissing me fiercely.

"And I don't think you got this excited when I asked you to marry me," I teased, but I was expecting the blow and caught her wrist easily. She smirked.

"Are you saying you didn't enjoy how I… thanked you?"

I laughed loudly at that. "No, that is not what I'm saying at all."

"I love you so fucking much."

"Love you too baby."

I'd buy her a whole fucking litter of puppies if it meant making her smile like that.

"Where'd you get him?"

"Humane Society. They're not sure if he's purebred, they got a whole litter that someone found. They just got cleared today. His paperwork is in the truck." She beamed, and looked over at Zeus and Titan, who were both barking and chasing each other around our huge yard. He looked like a white and grey soccer ball compared to Zeus' size. It was impossible not to smile seeing her face like that, and I cupped that gorgeous face, swiping away at her tears before kissing her happily, and she held onto me tightly.

Happy tears, I did not mind at all.

. . . . . . . . . .

Well, at least she didn't get the one with the tights. Actually, I think I looked really, really fucking cool. I would have made an awesome Captain America.

And this costume looked extremely damn authentic.

"Baby? Where exactly did you get-"

My voice cut off as I choked on my breath, walking out of the bathroom and into our bedroom. Bella was standing in front of our big mirror, fixing her make-up. She was wearing a dark-red, wavy, shoulder-length wig, and a black leather suit that zipped up the front. She had the cut-off gloves, the boots, the belt and holster. Everything. Shit.

Holy fucking shit.

I was having sex with the Black Widow tonight.

I just stared, and she grinned at me through the mirror before turning to face me.

"What do you think?"

"Fuck."

It was the only word that came to mind.

"Mmm, well I think you would have made a pretty damn good Captain America," she said, slinking over to me. She was grinning appreciatively as she trailed her fingers down my chest. "I knew you'd look good in this costume," she purred.

"I…" Shit. I closed my eyes tightly, and took a deep breath.

When I opened my eyes though I couldn't stop myself. I cupped the back of her neck, yanking her towards me as my lips crashed down on hers. Her fingers dug into my arms as I backed her against the wall, her breath leaving her in a huff from the impact. A soft moan escaped her lips as mine moved hungrily down her throat, and I slowly slid down the zipper of her bodysuit.

"Edward-" She gasped. "This thing isn't exactly easy to get in and out of."

"Then you shouldn't have fucking bought it," I growled, fumbling with her fucking utility belt. It clattered as it fell to the floor.

"Boots," she choked out, and I spun her around, pushing her back on the bed, and she helped me get them off hurriedly before I finished tackling that zipper. I didn't bother taking off my costume, but she didn't seem to mind at all, and she just whimpered as I thrust into her. I'm pretty sure I was going to have bruises from her nails, her fingers digging into my arms so sharply. Didn't fucking care though.

It was fast, and a little frantic, but my girl was still shaking underneath me by the time I finished with her.

. . .

We were a little late to the limo, because we both needed another shower, and Bella had been right. Neither of our costumes were that easy to get in and out of.

Totally worth it though.

"Baby?" She asked, pulling me from my ogling once more.

"What's up?"

"Just so you're not blind-sided later tonight, I wanted to give you a head-up."

I watched her for a minute. "Jane?" She nodded. "Are you sure tonight's a good night? What are you doing?"

"It has to be tonight. And… I need you to play along. I think that would be easier to do if you don't know what's happening."

"Play along?" I asked curiously. She just nodded. My curiosity was killing me, but if she wanted to do it this way, I was going to let her. I didn't think there would be anything that she could do that I wouldn't approve of. There was only one thing I cared about, which was her. And I didn't want to push her, not after the last time I had with Marcus' offer. I'd been being careful of it. "Will you be okay?"

She nodded with a bright smile, and I relaxed a little.

Bella had the biggest grin on her face as we drove over in the limo, and we looked fucking awesome when we walked in together. The press lost their shit. We gave them a few poses, and they ate it up.

The party was awesome. It was in the same place that we'd had the casting party, but this time Bella wasn't here as security. She was here as my fiancé, my date, like I'd wished she had been just over a year ago.

We'd been together as a couple for over a year now, and what a year had been.

Victor was dead, and Bella was finally coming to terms with the fact that his reign of terror really hadn't been her fault, despite what she'd been forced to believe for a large portion of her life.

We were getting married in Belize in two weeks.

Bella and I were living together with our two dogs.

My fiancé was even now living under her real identity.

And now, we were finally done with our movie. It would be a few months before editing was complete and we had to do our premiere tour, because she was obviously coming with me for that.

She'd just come so far since the shooting in February. It was astonishing when I thought about it. I was so proud of her, for so many things, sticking with her therapy was merely one of them. She'd told me that she would be keeping in touch with Sib through correspondence once we left here, which I was happy about. She still had a little ways to go, and I knew there would be relapses, but I also knew she was going to be okay.

We walked through the crowd, laughing and talking with all of the friends and co-workers we'd made here in LA. Marcus could only be classified as a proud uncle. The way he dragged Bella around, introducing her to his friends... I knew he was trying to get her into the business, he hadn't lost his hope of doing so, but both of us knew that it wasn't going to happen. We'd both had enough excitement in our lives to last a few lifetimes. All we wanted now was to just live.

And we didn't even need to try to avoid Jane. Her paranoia over the past few weeks was obviously eating away at her. She jumped at the slightest noise or quick movements, living in fear and constantly looking over her shoulder. She'd impossibly lost even more weight, looking concerningly thin in her costume. I think she had tried to dress as her name-sake, but I'm pretty sure Queen Jane had been one of King Henry's more… innocent wives. Jane made Elizabethan royalty garb look kind of trashy.

I wouldn't have been surprised if she'd been doing drugs, she just looked like she was tripping out tonight, running in the opposite direction whenever she caught sight of us. It was nice.

Bella had had a few drinks, and seemed a little tipsy, and the way that she was watching me was driving me insane. I swear, if she bit her lip one more time…

Like she was reading my mind, she did it, and I practically growled at her.

She grinned, and leaned up to whisper into my ear. I hunched down a bit for her, my arm snaking around her waist again.

"If you go out that back door there, there's a garden, and in the back right corner is this little secluded-"

I started tugging her towards the door, not needing anymore details, but she stopped me.

I may have pouted.

"Meet me there in a couple minutes? I just have to make a phone call first," she whispered.

"To who?"

She just shook her head, pleading with me not to ask with her eyes.

I sighed, and nodded before kissing her cheek. She pulled me over to the door, and started talking to Marcus, who was there with his wife and a friend of his. He asked me a question, and Bella just vanished into thin air.

By the time they finished with me, and I made it out to the outskirts of the garden, Bella was leaning against a large maple that was wrapped in tiny twinkle lights. She looked so damn happy to see me, and it was impossible not to kiss those smiling lips.

It was a while before we stumbled back into the party, both slightly disheveled, and I froze, pulling Bella slightly behind me when someone screamed.

Bella knocked me to the side though when Jane flew at her, her hands curled into claws, and her face streaked with tears.

I knew Bella could have evaded Jane's lunge easily, but she didn't. She let her grab her.

Jane grabbed her, ripping off her wig, and Bella knocked her back with a hard shove in the ribs. Apparently she wouldn't be easily deterred though, and when she came at her again, the room went silent when Bella delivered an expert right hook to her face.

I heard the sickening crunch of her nose breaking before Jane dropped unconscious to the ground.

And then, what she did next, I knew that I'd be giving her my fucking Emmy for her performance.

Bella started crying, looking completely panicked and scared, yelling for someone to call an ambulance.

"I- I didn't mean to! But she just kept coming, I-" One of the security staff that had medical training ran over with a first aid kit, and Bella turned into me when I pulled her into my arms, crying into my chest. I held her tightly, playing along and soothing her even though I knew she was totally faking it. She made herself sound a little drunk, even though I knew our fresh air break had sobered her up.

Jane came to a couple minutes later, but when she lunged for Bella again, she was restrained by security.

"YOU BITCH! This is your fault! I know you did it!"

"W-what?" My fiancé stuttered, leaning into me and sniffling. The police and EMTs made it in then though, and there were hundreds of witnesses to Jane's crazed assault.

No one would deny that Bella acted purely in self defense.

"NO! Let go of me! She set me up! SHE PLANNED THIS! She made me do it!"

And Jane was beyond reasoning, shrieking hysterically. She was cuffed and patted down, and the whole room was witness to the bag of cocaine being found on her. She swore it wasn't hers, but at the same time, it was obvious that she was high as a fucking kite as the police dragged her away.

Marcus rushed over, frantic, but Bella assured him that she was okay. She had a scrape on one cheek, but beside that, she was fine. We stuck around for a little longer, but it was a little too crazy, so we ended up leaving as soon as it was socially acceptable and fled back to our limo.

I waited until we got home, and we sat out in the dark in the backyard, letting the dogs burn out their excitement. I pulled her down onto our white and blue outdoor couch.

"So, now may I be filled in? Bravo, by the way, for an excellent performance." She bit onto her lip.

"What are you talking about?" She asked innocently, making me laugh.

"You might have fooled the rest of the room, but I know you too well. You faked that whole thing, and Jane couldn't land a hand on you in her deepest dreams."

She sighed, and looked at me warily, but with determination too.

"I don't make idle threats," she said seriously, watching my eyes carefully.

I looked at her in confusion for a minute, and then understanding clicked in.

"You wanted her to attack you. That's why you let her."

She nodded once, just a light bob of her head.

"It was the only way I could find to hit her without being charged for assault."

"Why'd she snap at you? What was she talking about?"

She let out a silent breath, before pulling out her phone. She tapped at it for a minute or two before handing it to me.

It was a TMZ article, and on it, was every actor and actress' worst nightmare.

Bella had hacked into her e-mail, or cloud, or phone, or computer, or maybe all four. What she had found on Jane made what she found on Jess look like a Disney movie. Naked photos that I really would rather not have seen, a sex tape, photos of her with… multiple men. And I'm not talking about different pictures with different guys. I mean multiple men in the same photo. Pictures of her doing drugs, police charges and fines that she had managed to previously keep under the rug. DUIs, assault, indecent exposure, public intoxication. E-mails about people she'd worked with, worked for.

Jane would never work a day in this industry again. No one would touch her after this.

"Jesus." I looked up at Bella, who was still watching me warily. "You did this?"

"Yes."

I pulled a hand through my hair uneasily, but when I remained quiet, and noticed Bella slowly starting to panic, I quickly made sure she didn't get the wrong idea.

I wasn't uneasy because I hadn't thought Bella would be capable of something of this magnitude. On the contrary, I knew she was. It was a part of her that I accepted, because really, I thought she had kind of earned it, after her life. After what she'd been through, she needed it to survive.

What had bothered me was the fact that I'd actually fucking kissed that woman. It made me feel sick to my stomach. I assured Bella quickly though, holding her gaze and looking her right in the eyes.

That, and the fact that I wish it had been me to do it, not her, because I hated that woman more than anyone in the world.

"Good, she fucking deserves it."

She sighed in relief.

"You're not disgusted with me?" She asked in a small voice.

"No baby."

And then she hugged me tightly, and I held her tightly back. I smiled, feeling an odd sort of peace settle over me.

Yeah, we were going to be alright.

. . . . . . . . . . .

"How am I supposed to pack if you won't tell me where I'm going?" She pouted, crawling onto my lap, straddling me in her tiny denim skirt.

The woman knew how to play on my weaknesses, I'd give her that, but I wasn't going to budge on this. I just shrugged, smirking as I ran my hands up her soft legs, enjoying the view.

"You know where we're going. It's a beach, it will be hot."

"But you said we weren't coming back before we go to…?"

I laughed. "Nope."

"Edward…" She pouted again, leaning into me and wrapping her arms around my neck, hers fingers playing in the back of my hair. "Please?"

"Nope."

"Then how will I know what to pack! Just give me a hint!"

"Nope."

"How long will we be gone?"

I just shrugged, and she swatted away my hand when it ducked under her skirt.

"Is it in the same climate?"

I just smiled at her.

"Warmer or colder?"

I just kept smiling, and twisted a lock of her silky hair around my index finger. She huffed adorably, and I cupped the back of her neck, pulling her down for a kiss before she could storm off, and she giggled when I flipped her over and pinned her down on the couch.

"It doesn't matter what you pack, we can just go shopping and I'll buy you whatever you need when we get there," I told her easily, kissing her again before she could even think of arguing.

. . . . .

I don't get how my sister had gotten so stressed out planning her wedding. I knew Bella's brother had had it pretty easy, because Bella had done all the fucking work for him, but it had been a piece of cake.

We didn't feel the need to really conform to any superstitions or so-called traditions. We both got what we wanted; the others couldn't surprise us with bachelor/bachelorette parties when they were stuck on a plane. It was perfect. For us, our marriage was nothing but a name and a promise. It was just admitting that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives, not just to each other, but to our families as well.

We were very private, careful, about leaving. I'd bought the entire first-class section of our plane for our party, and we all arrived separately to the airport.

The biggest piece of work had been the schmoozing I'd had to do to get people to make certain… exceptions, for Zeus and Titan. We'd had it arranged for their crates to be secured in the plane, and not in the cargo hold. Not only for Bella, but for myself, because I just couldn't let my boys get packed away and left alone like fucking suitcases. Even going back to New York I hadn't been able too, but Bella had been happy to do a road trip. It took up about five days to make the forty-two hour drive, but I'd loved it. We even bought a tent and stopped at a camp ground instead of a hotel for the night Colorado, it was great.

That, and the resort hadn't permitted pets either. But, I don't think it was often that they had their entire island booked for two weeks for one party. There were only six little separate, condo-like suites on their island, so really, renting out that one extra place to ensure we had it to ourselves wasn't really a big deal to me.

And the resort did the rest of the work for us. The ceremony, the meals, everything.

Rose had been practically in tears on the way here, she wouldn't admit it aloud, but it was obvious that she was in dire need of a break. Renee, our god daughter, was a crier. She was going to be an opera singer someday with lungs like those. Bella didn't say anything, because it was obvious that it frustrated Rose, but when my fiancé held that little girl she'd silence immediately and just stare at her with her big blue eyes.

We'd given them the contact information so they could let the staff know of anything they might need. I knew at first they'd been a little worried about travelling with Renee, but when they thought of having their every need catered to for two weeks at a private resort, not having to shop, cook, clean or work, they'd been eager to leave. I made damn sure that it would be an offer they couldn't say no to. Neither of us were having bridesmaids or groomsmen, but Emmett was going to be giving her away. She needed him, both of them, there. I think everyone was excited for a little vacation to be honest, and I was glad to have this.

Because now, with work all behind us, as I listened to the cool breeze blowing through the curtains of the opened door leading to our own private beach, I didn't see us going back home any time soon. It was nice that we were all together now with nothing to do but our one ceremony tomorrow, and then all the time we wanted to relax with our families, and enjoy their company unhindered or hurried.

This feeling that settled over me as I watched my beautiful fiancé asleep next to me, knowing that we were free… well, I didn't want to give that up. We could do whatever we wanted for the next few months, and then after the tour, we could do whatever we wanted for the rest of our lives.

I just wanted her. I wanted to show her the world, to make a million new memories with her, and make her smile in any way that I possibly could, every single day, for the rest of our lives.

. . . . .

Yeah, Edward bought her a puppy. What did you think about his gift to cheer her up?

And Jane got hers. Are you disappointed?

So, this is the end my friends. I'll post the epilogue soon, it's a short future take, and then I'll say good-bye. I didn't think it was necessary to write out the whole wedding, though once I get there in Bella's story there will be more details. I hope you're not disappointed.

Thanks for reading, leave a review!
