Holy crap we're already at chapter 20, I'm legitimately surprise it made it this far. When I first started this story it was just something to do on the side but now its my favorite story to write for. Thank you to everyone who have helped me get this far and always remember, no matter what anyone else tells you Fanfiction kicks ass. Enjoy.

"Yo Clef."

"Whats up boss?"

"How did we get here?" Fidelis asked looking at the four girls in the airship with them, all of which were talking among themselves except one who was staring him down.

"I'll explain."

Earlier that day

"And thats how I met that Adam fellow." Clef said just finishing up a riveting story that had Fidelis on the edge of his seat.

Fidelis sat back completely ignoring the lecture that Glynda Goodwitch was giving. "Damn, Im surprised you survived all that. And that part with the song and dance number sounded especially rough."

Clef laughed. "All apart of a days work." He and Fidelis both started laughing.

"Excuse me!" They heard shouted at them and looked up to see a less than pleased looking Glynda. "Mr. Graham, is there something you and Mr. Alto wish to share with the class?"

Fidelis stood up answering to his alias. "No ma'am, we were talking about how lucky these Beacon kids were to have such a good looking teacher." Most of the students started laughing at this though Fidelis saw Emerald groan and put her hands in her palms, Mercury on the other hand gave him a thumbs up.

Clef then stood from his seat and with full confidence added. "He speaks the truth, you have the finest ass I've seen in a fortnight." At this point Glynda was practically exerting a visible aura of barely controlled rage.

"BOTH OF YOU OUTSIDE NOW!" She screamed at the two of them and they both rushed out the doors and stood in the hallway.

As they waited Fidelis turned to Clef. "I honestly don't see why she's so angry, it was a complement after all." In all truth Fidelis was new to the concept of school in general sense he never went to one as a child. His and Rideats father had taught him how to read, basic math, basic science, and general history. Everything else he just picked up on the fly as he went through life, he'd never had anything that could be considered a formal schooling. He never thought he'd ever need it and so far he was right, he'd not only survived but in a way thrived off of only his street smarts and skill in combat.

He could tell you exactly how much a pound of unstable frost dust would sell for on the black market of half the cities in remnant, but if you ask him to solve an algebra question he won't have a clue. He was abruptly brought out of his thoughts as the doors to the combat classroom opened and all the student came rushing out all headed towards their next classes, Glynda stepped out after them still red with anger and motioned them into the room with her.

"I don't know how they operate over in Warden academy but here students DO NOT talk about their teacher in such a fashion! Not only was it humiliating but also immature and disrespectful and you both will be reprimanded." Glynda ranted as she paced back and forth in front of them.

Fidelis raised his hand. "Ma'am, I'd like to apologize on both our behalves. We meant no disrespect by our comments and if its any consolation you are an extremely attractive woman who, if I was already in a relationship, I would kill to take out to dinner." Fidelis was trying his hardest to flatter his way out of this, and judging by the blush on Glynda's face, was working.

Glynda cleared her throat and attempted to recompose herself after being slightly flustered. "Well, while I thank you for such words, it is not appropriate to say such things in class or to ones instructor." Glynda pulled out her scroll and began going through multiple pages of forms before stopping on one. "While I was planning on sending word of this back to your headmaster, I feel that we may have another way of handling this." She said this still looking at her scroll and not noticing the two of them fist bump each other behind their backs.

"One of our first year teams didn't have a chance to complete their first official mission due to unforeseen developments. Normally first year teams are sent on missions while shadowing a full fledged Hunter, however due to recent events we can not spare anyone for them to shadow. I believe it would be a fitting punishment for you two to tag along with this team, as forth years I am confident in your abilities to act as their mentors in the place of a actual hunter, and insure their safety as well. Does this sound agreeable?" She explained to the two, Fidelis was the one to respond.

"Of course, my only questions are when we leave and who the team is?" Fidelis said with a wide grin under the bandages wrapped around his face.

Glynda tapped her scroll a few times. "You will be leaving just after dinner this evening, and the team you will be leading is team-"

Present time

"Team RWBY. And then you had a brief panic attack when you were informed that the mission was to take place on the water." Clef said finishing the story. "By the way, nice job on buttering up the professor, you've got quite the silver tongue on you boss."

Fidelis took a second to let himself calm down after being reminded that they were going to be on the ocean for this mission. He looked over at Blake who actually looked amused at his suffering. For as long as he could remember Fidelis has had an extreme fear of being on the open ocean or in the middle of some large body of water, just thinking about it is enough to make him uneasy. Like almost everything about him, very few people are aware of this, Blake is one of those few people.

Fidelis gave her his best glare before clearing his throat and getting the girls attentions. "Alright ladies listen up, we're gonna go over this one more time before we arrive. Our destination is a large Schnee company cargo freighter that stopped reporting in about four days ago, radar also shows that the ship hasn't moved from its current position in that time. A small coastal support team was sent to the ship to investigate and see if they may need repairs or evacuation, the team never reported back in. Our job is simple, we get aboard, make contact with any survivors and assist in fixing whatever problem there are, any questions?"

Ruby raised her hand. "Do we know what the ship was carrying?"

Fidelis glanced over towards the Schnee sitting next to her. "No but considering it's a Schnee ship, it's probably hazardous to the people working on the ship. Though it's cheaper that way, right Ice queen?" Fidelis practically spat at the girl. While its true that Fidelis doesn't hate all humans, he does have a rather large grudge against the Schnee corporation for their treatment of faunus workers.

Weiss looked both shocked at angered at this random statement of aggression. "Now what is that suppose to mean?" She shouted standing from her seat.

Fidelis just chuckled a bit. "It means that your family is more concerned with making money than the health and safety of your workers."

She was taken aback by this second verbal attack. "Whats your deal, I've never done anything to you and your treating me like this!" She shouted at him while the others just silently watched the conversation.

Fidelis stood up and looked down at the girl who was a good few inches shorter than him. After silently staring her down for a few seconds Fidelis lifted his hands and removed his Kata and revealed two furry dog like ears on top of his head. "I treat you like this because I hate you with all of my being. You and your family have caused more pain and suffering than the White Fang could ever hope to. Your right when you say you've never done anything personally to me so I have know reason to treat you in such away, however thats exactly how we faunus are treated everyday, and you people do nothing to help. I hate you because every time I see that pretty little face of yours I have to resist the urge to make a quick fifteen million lien. Now be a good little bitch and sit down and shut up while I explain the mission." Fidelis said all of this in a very calm voice.

A dumbfounded looking Weiss slowly and silently retook her seat and turned her head to look out the small window next to her. Fidelis could see tears begin to form up in her eyes. Fidelis put his hat back on and clapped his fingers once before in a happy tone ask. "Does anyone else have any questions?" Nobody raised their hands. "Great, Clef let me know when we arrive." He said to his partner who at some point during the conversation he had just had with Weiss, had some how acquired a guitar without anyone noticing and was now tuning it.

"You got it boss." He replied seemingly oblivious to what just went down. Fidelis pulled out his scroll and headphones before putting them in and began playing the song Murder Melody by a rather large band in Menagerie called Cult to Follow and started tapping his foot to the beat, he then pulled his hat down over his face and leaned back. (A/N I haven't given a good music reference in a while so I thought I'd fix that, enjoy.)

Yang leaned over to Blake. "What did he mean by making a quick fifteen million?"

Blake was about to answer but Weiss beat her to it. "Thats the running bounty the White Fang and other criminal groups and organizations have set on all the members of my family." Weiss said while clearly fighting back sobs. Yang looked over to Blake who nodded in confirmation.

"Weiss." Ruby said sadly before the girl looked over to her with red puffy eyes and tears streaming down her face. Ruby pulled the girl into a hug before Weiss began sobbing into her shoulder. Ruby looked over at the one who caused this, he was still tapping his foot to the music that she could just barely hear from under his hat.

She knew that the situation was more complicated than him just being a jerk, what with the tension between her friends family and faunus but she still didn't like seeing people she cared about treated that way. Ruby then made up her mind that once this mission was complete she was gonna have a few words with the man.

Two and a half hours later

The six were all preparing for the mission as they were on approach, Weiss had managed to pull herself together and she hadn't once even looked at Fidelis in all the time since. The side hatch of the bullhead opened up to show the ship they were headed to just a short distance away. Fidelis was doing his best not to pay attention to the water but could barely keep himself from breaking down and so he just closed his eyes and imagined they were flying over a large desert of blue sand.

The ship itself was enormous, it had to have been a half mile in length and must have at least five or six separate decks. It was a monster of a boat, the strangest thing about it though was the complete lack of any lights aside from a few signal lights on top of the wheel house tower.

The pilot broke his train of thoughts. "Once I drop y'all off I have to head back to refuel. I wont be able to do another pick up until tomorrow morning, so y'all will be spending the night on board."

Fidelis let out a angry sigh before replying. "Roger that."

The bullhead flew in until it was just a few feet above the enormous ship and the six all jumped down onto the deck. Fidelis turned around to see the bullhead flying away from them. "I've got a really bad feeling about all this."

And so I finally get to do something I've wanted to do since long before I ever started writing Fanfiction. Ever since the first episode of Xfiles I ever watched as a kid. Leave a review to tell me what you all think and remembered that no matter what people may say, you guys are awesome. LATER.
