So I'm gonna skip a few episodes so that we can get back to the good shit, the flashback episode I'll probably revisit later or do something about it in my drabbles, it might be fun writing Fide and Cinder's first encounter. Anyway, until then lets get to this. Enjoy.
Fidelis sat leaning against the wall with his scroll held in front of him, he was reading the headlines on the news. 'Beacon Student Maims Opponent.' He actually felt bad for Yang, he was no stranger to people openly hating him but they hated him for what he did, she was being blamed for something that wasn't her fault. He wished he could same something, not just to her but to Neo, Kain, Rideat and Adam, hell even Clef and Jin. That was unfortunately impossible at the moment, he had something he needed to do.
Fidelis looked up at the only other person in the room with him. "You know it's funny, nobody in this world loves chaos more than I do, and everything is about to be drenched in chaos. Shit is about to hit the fan in a way that I've only ever dreamed about, this whole planet is going to be shaken down to it's core in the next few days, and I'm not happy about it at all." He looked back down to his feet. "Honestly over these past few months quite a few things I never thought were possible have happened. I met a girl who I've already fallen madly in love with, and she has even more surprisingly returned my feelings. I've managed to find my brother and actually hold a conversation with him, even reconciled a bit. Then theres Kain." Fidelis let out a chuckle.
Fidelis closed his eyes as he took in the silence. "Nothing I do ever ends well, I'm a magnet for trouble and a bad luck charm for all around me. The only thing in this world I'm any good at is my talent for violence. I've never really cared who profited or suffered off of the battles I fight, just so long as I got to fight." Fidelis reached down and grabbed his gunbai as well as one of the power tools he had laying on the ground.
"Your name is Fidelis correct? Tell me something Fidelis, do you believe in destiny?" The person asked him as he began using the tool to carefully start cutting into the edge of his fan.
Fidelis smiled, his mask laid at his side but he didn't care that this person could see his face. "No, I don't." He answered looking up at the one who asked, he chuckled at their slightly saddened expression. "I can't believe in destiny, if I did then it would mean that everything I've been through in my life, all the horrible things I've been involved with, every life I've taken. It would mean that it was all meant to happen, that some nineteen year old punk kid who decided he wanted to make a name for himself by hunting down and claiming the bounty on my head was meant to die a meaningless death out in the badlands of Vacuo. That it was the destiny of a beautiful young woman to be murdered in her home while her five year old son watched. If I start believing that everything was always meant to happen, well my sanity is already barely there."
The person stood silently as they listened to his words. "You truly are a creature to be both admired and pitied you know that. I pity everything you've been forced to face in your life, but I admire the fact that it has never stopped you."
Fidelis laughed loudly at this. "I've never heard the admired part before." He kept laughing for a few more seconds before taking a long breath. "You should get going, unlike me, you've got shit you need to doing out there." There was a moment of silence before they nodded and started walking away from him. "One more thing before you go though, you got to ask me something, now let me ask you a question. Do you believe someone like me who has hurt so many and will most likely keep hurting people, do you think someone like me can ever be forgiven."
The person didn't say anything for a moment. "Yes I do." And with that they continued to walk away soon leaving Fidelis alone working on his weapon.
Fidelis chuckled lightly to himself as he worked on the fan and pulled out something from his pocket. "I've never taken the time to actually name you have I?" He muttered to himself as he looked at the fan and then to the item in his hand, it was the black dust crystal he had taken from the schnee boat. "How about, Amarum Solace? I think it fits."
With Jin
Jin sighed as he walked down the sidewalk holding a piece of paper in front of him. "How did I ever get myself caught up in the shit?" He muttered to himself as he continued walking towards his destination which happen to be a public storage facility where people rented out storage lockers. This morning after he woke up and got some breakfast he was approached by a man claiming to be a huntsmen who asked for him by name. He thought he was about to be arrested then and there when the man pulled out an envelope and handed it to him.
When he later opened it in a bathroom stall for privacy he found a piece of paper, it read as follows.
Dearest Jin
I'm sure you are wondering where I am and what I'm doing along with everyone else, I'm afraid I cannot reveal that information at the moment, not even to you. You may also be wondering why I've chosen you of all people to contact instead of say, Clef, Neo or my brother. Well if I'm being completely honest with both you and myself, it's because I highly doubt that anyone is monitoring you or keeping tabs sense your such a low rank in the Fang as well as the fact that you present little to no threat to anyone. But anyway I digress from my point, the main reason I've sent this letter is to give you a list of instructions that I need you to carry out to the letter as quickly as you can, or at least before the second match of the tournament finals tonight. First I need you to go to the address written on the second piece of paper in the envelope and find the storage locker listed on that paper, once there open the locker and enter, make sure nobody is around when you enter or there will be serious issues. The combination for the locker is written on the second sheet under the address. You will find further instructions in the locker.
Your friend, Butch Kozner.
P.S. If you fuck this shit up I'll kill you.
Jin sighed again as he put away the note and entered the storage facility before getting directions to the locker. Once he knew nobody was watching he entered the combination. "Zero, one, zero, four." He muttered as he punch in the numbers. After a second the locker opened up and he stepped inside, the moment he stepped in the locker he went pale as he looked at the contents of the locker. "Holy shit that's a lot of jail time." Was all he could think of to describe what was in front of him.
Against the left wall were several large crates stacked up on top of each other, each with Schnee Dust Company logos on them, on the right side were more crates however these were labeled with the names of with the names of at least six different illegal drugs. Against the back wall were yet more crates, but one of them was sitting with the lid off that showed the contents which were around two dozen automatic rifles. None of this was what had his attention however, what had his attention was what took up most of the space in the locker and was at the center. It was a large Atlesian paladin with multiple extra weapons attached and several upgrades. It was colored black with white trimmings and he noticed the Nobody emblem on several parts.
Taped to the front of the robot was another letter. For what felt like the tenth time today he sighed and grabbed the letter before opening it.
Good you manged task one, now for two through ten...
"Fuck."
With Rideat
Rideat walked through the halls of the first years dorm building with a clear destination in mind. He had an angry frown on his face and if his eye weren't covered up he'd be scowling.
He turned another corner and passed by a huntsmen who reeked of alcohol that had just come from where he wanted to go. Rideat walked up to team RWBYs door and gave a hard knock, he already knew that Yang was in the room sense he could see her with his semblance but that didn't mean he was just gonna barge in. "Yang, it's Rideat. We met a few nights back when my brother had us all play that drinking game, we need to talk. It's important."
He watched as Yang's silhouette moved to the door and opened it. "Whats up?" She asked as he stepped into the room.
"What happened during your fight?" He asked firmly.
Yang frowned. "If your just here to tell me how terrible of a thing I did then just leave." He could see her aura flare.
"Yang please, just tell me." He held up his hands to calm her down, and after a second her aura died down a bit. Yang sighed and then proceeded to recount what happened while Rideat silently listened. "So you saw him attack you?" He asked earning a nod. "What you saw was an illusion, or some kind of aura base hallucination, or something like that. I was there for your match, and I saw what really happened."
"What do you mean?"
Rideat took a seat on what he could tell was Blake's bed based off of the scent. "Normally I don't really care much for watching those kinds of match's sense I can only see aura, it takes a lot of the fun out of watching two people fight. Last night however Velvet asked me to go with her, when I watched your match I saw something weird happen just before you shot him. I didn't think much of it at first but after me and Vel went back to my dorm room to be alone, we were interrupted by someone who told me some interesting things. After thinking on what they told me I started thinking about your match and what I saw. Just before you shot that guys leg I saw a disruption of your aura as well as a noticeable amount of foreign aura in the air of the arena, the same thing happened during Velvet's teams match against that same guy and his partner."
Yang eyes widen as she realized what he was saying.
"Yang, you've been framed."
Later that night
Kain walked through the crowds with Ruby at his side, after their conversation with Joel the night before he had ended up sleeping in team RWBYs dorm room, much to Weiss's annoyance. Ruby was still pretty upset after everything happened with her sister and how everybody was calling her a monster. He did his best to cheer her up a bit, but he could tell it was still getting to her.
The two made their way to their seats and Kain leaned his head back before closing his eyes. He barely noticed when Ruby grabbed his arm and shook him. "Whats up?" He asked looking at her worried face.
Ruby stood and started to pull him towards a utility door stopping just outside it. "I just saw Emerald." She whispered to him. "She was suppose to be gone with Mercury after his injury. Somethings wrong here." Ruby then pulled her boyfriend into the utility door. "We need to go find someone in char-" She stopped when Kain stopped and grabbed her hand. "What are you doing?"
Kain just continued to look forward. "Your right, something is very wrong." He snarled as Ruby looked ahead and went wide eyed when she saw Mercury.
"Looks like our first contender is Penny Polendina from Atlas!" They heard Port say over the intercom.
"Whats going on Mercury?" Ruby asked not noticing that Kain already had his hands on his weapons. Apart of being a faunus was having animal instincts and his instincts were currently screaming danger at him.
"And her opponent will be... Pyrrha Nikos of Beacon!"
"Polarity versus metal." Mercury shook his head. "Not good."
Kain stepped forward drawing his knives. "I don't know whats going on, but I can tell it's nothing good. Ruby, go stop the match while I keep Mercury busy." Ruby looked hesitant to leave her boyfriend. "Make sure Penny and Pyrrha are okay." After another second she nodded and took off towards where they came leaving Kain with Mercury.
"You don't really think you can beat me do you kid?" He asked Kain as he got into his stance.
"No, but I can stall you." Kain then shifted his knives into their gun form and fired.
Next chapter in the one we've all been waiting for, everything is going to go to hell. Who will die, who will be maimed, and will Cinder succeed? Even I'm not 100% sure of the answers to all these yet. Tell me what you guys think in the reviews. LATER.
