Before we get started I'd like to give a quick shout out to my boy 8-bit thief He recently started his first fic, thanks in small part to my constant bitching I like to think, and while I may not completely understand his fic as I'm unfamiliar with the source macerate some of you might be. Go check it out. Anyway lets get down to this, I got my music, snacks, and soda. Also on a personal note I'd like to point out that Vance is a dick because he put the fear in my head that Neo might be a boy and they wanted to keep it under wraps for awhile by not giving her a voice. Regardless of canon, Neo will remain a girl in my story, no offence to anyone but Fidelis doesn't swing that way, no matter how pretty they are. Enjoy.

"Why can't you just DIE!" Cinder shrieked as she pulled herself to her feet.

Fidelis stepped forward while resting his fan on his shoulder, Pyrrha watched wide eyed as he approached the black haired woman. Only a few minutes before he had been laid out on the ground dead, now he was back up and pumping out more aura than she'd thought possible in a normal person. None of that was actually going through her mind however. The only thing she could think about was the enormous smile across his face, it was terrifying on a primal level that set her hair on end. Knowing that he was on her side didn't do much to help either, he was like a demon, enjoying every second of this whole situation, the battle, chaos, and destruction.

Then a hand landed on her shoulder, she looked up to see Joel watching the scene before them. "Don't worry, he's not a monster. This'll all be over soon." He then helped Pyrrha up to her feet. "Let's leave the rest to him." Joel spoke again still never taking his eyes off the two combatants.

"Someone with so little confidence in their own strength that they need the help of ancient magic to fight will never be able to kill me." Fidelis pointed the tip of his fan towards her never lowering his smile. "You were weak before you gained all this new power, and your weak now."

Cinder grit her teeth as fire radiated from her. "SHUT UP!" He shot forward with a aura charged fist cocked back, Fidelis didn't move as she close the distance. Cinder through the aura and fire coated punch at the faunus who simply held up his hand and stopped the fist. Fire shot from her fist up his arm burning away his sleeve and scorching the skin of his arm black, but he ignored all of this as he looked down at Cinder who looked from his arm to his face, he was still smiling. "What the hell are you?" She whispered as a spark of fear appeared in her eyes.

She didn't get it, she had the power of a maiden, she was a goddess among people. How was this animal so powerful, it made no sense, he was nobody! "It actually very simple." He broke her out of her thoughts as he spoke completely calmly, still not acknowledging the fact that he now had fresh third degree burns all the way up his left arm. "I'm the definition of failure incarnate. Left to die as a baby, unable to protect my savior, forced to kill for the enjoyment of the scum of existence, and now a rabid animal fighting for his own enjoyment and nothing more. That's what I am." Fidelis raised his fan above both of them and quickly brought it crashing down against the side of the witch's head sending her to the ground where she slid several meters until she finally came to a halt.

Pyrrha let out a deep breath she wasn't aware she'd been holding. "It's over." She sighed in relief.

"Not yet." Fidelis spoke as he started towards the motionless woman. "As long as this bitch still breaths nothing is over." He lifted his fan back to his shoulder.

Pyrrha gasped at his words and was about to stop him when she was stopped by Joel's arm. "We don't need to kill her! If we do that then we're no better than she is!" She pleaded.

"THIS ISN'T A FAIRY TALE!" Fidelis shouted turning to the redhead causing her to flinch and step back. "This is reality, people kill and are killed! Your right that we're no better than her!" He pointed to the unconscious woman. "She's a manipulative, egotistical, killer who did all this to achieve what she believed in. You and I are no fucking different, I want to vomit saying it but she did have several valid points. Right or wrong, it doesn't matter. She needs to die."

Fidelis stood looking down at Cinder and raised his gunbai once more and focused his wind onto the edge of his gunbai, his eyes were fixed on her throat, he was taking her head. Fidelis brought the fan down towards her throat, however just as the edge was about to reach it's mark Cinder's body lurched out of the away and through the air.

She flew several meters before she was caught by the waist by a man dressed in a pitch black set of Atlas Spec Ops gear, however all Atlas related symbols were absent. A pair of black tented glasses sat on his face and a dark grey bandanna was tied around his forehead. Hanging from his waist was a pair of sheathed sabers that appeared to have triggers built into the hilts. "Sorry about this, but my boss needs this one alive." He spoke in a tired sounding voice. "I don't suppose you'd consider just letting me leave peacefully?" He asked not at all sounding hopeful.

"Who the hell are you?" Fidelis demanded as a scowl began forming on his face, he didn't hate anything more than when someone interrupted his fight regardless of whether they were almost over or not.

"You could call me the chicks coworker, I don't really care what happens to her but I got orders." The man turned to walk away.

"Fuck that!" Fidelis screamed as he flared his aura and charged the new arrival while raising his fan for a full powered swing.

The man sighed and turned to the faunus with a single hand raised, palm pointed to him. "Push." He said softly before an unresistant wave of force slammed into Fidelis sending him flying backwards through the air. Joel lunged from the mans side with his hand extended, electricity shooting up and down his arm. Without even turning to his new attacker the man jumped up high enough for Joel to go right under him, when he landed he pointed his hand at Joel who had already turned and thrust his pole towards the man. "Push." Nearly identically to the first time a wave of force slammed into the former trapper sending him soaring through the air and into a nearby wall.

The man turned to look at Pyrrha. "Are you gonna try and stop me to, or can I go?" He asked scratching the back of his head looking almost bored.

Pyrrha couldn't help but take a step back from the man who had just swatted two very skilled and powerful fighters aside like it was nothing, soon the man smiled slightly and turned to leave. He had taken her fear as an act of submission, and the infuriated her, but still she made no move to follow or stop him. "Shit." She heard a groan from behind her.

Joel pulled himself out of the rubble of the wall he'd been thrown through, not looking much worse for ware. "The fuck was that about?" He dusted himself off. "Who was that guy." He looked to where the man had left and found him nowhere in sight. "Are you okay?" He asked looking to the redheaded demi-maiden.

She quickly nodded before looking to where Fidelis had landed, he laid half buried in a pile of rubble. "Is he alright?" She asked as Joel move towards the downed faunus.

Before he could answer there was a flash of blinding light in the distance followed by a ground shaking roar. "He'll be fine, but we need to get the hell away from whatever made that." He gestured in the direction of the roar. "I would normally go check it out but after fighting the commander of the White Fang and a Gen one trapper simultaneously, killing over almost two dozen grimm, acting as a human defibrillator for this dumbass, and getting blasted through a wall I'm feeling a little winded. Lets go." Joel pulled Fidelis's unconscious body over his shoulder and took off.

Some Time Later

"Damn Fide, you got fucked up." Fidelis opened his eyes after hearing a voice speak. "I mean, you should sue the company that owns the train the ran yur ass over."

Fidelis groaned as he looked around at the room he was in, it was familiar to him, it was the same room the Fang's held meetings in every couple years. Sitting in the chairs around the table were plenty of familiar 'faces' though sense most wore masks that word may not really apply. Adam, Magnuss, Skoll, Reaver, Jade, and even Belladonna. Fidelis looked to his side where the voice came from and found Kyzal looking at him with his usual shit eating grin.

"The fuck is going on?" He looked around at everyone present.

His answer came from behind him. "What's going on is we need to have a little chat with your psychotic ass." Joel walked into view and quickly took his place leaning against the wall, Plaga following closely behind him.

"The simple fact is that your not strong enough to handle the shit that's about to go down on your own, with what's to come, you won't last ten seconds alone." Adam was the one to speak this time.

"Your gonna need some serious help bro." Rideat added as he seemingly appeared out of nowhere leaning against Fidelis's chair.

"You've already got us, but lets be honest, your gonna need more." Roman spoke from his other side with Jin standing behind him.

"Where's Neo?" Fidelis began looking around for the girl he loved but couldn't find a trace of her.

"She's waiting for you Boss." He heard a guitar being strummed and looked to the center of the conference table which was suddenly empty. Everyone had vanished from the room completely, all except the man sitting cross legged in the middle the table tuning a guitar. He looked up slightly revealing a single glowing red eye from underneath the large rim of his hat. "Wake up." Clef raised his hand and brought his fingers down on the strings.

Reality

Fidelis's eyes cracked open, he saw a grey concrete ceiling above him with simple LED lights. He remained motionless as his mind acclimated to the terrible pain wracking his entire body, this always happened after he used his unlocked aura for extended periods of time. He probably wouldn't be able to get out of bed for a day or two, possibly more.

Judging by the pain he was feeling he could guess at some of his injuries, several cracked ribs, a concussion, a few broken fingers, torn muscles across his whole body, and his left arm was definitely pretty fucked up from the burns he'd gotten while fighting that bitch.

After a few moments of silent thought something caught Fidelis's attention, he felt something wet on his chest as well as a small weight on his side. With every bit of strength he could muster he lifted his head just enough to see a familiar head of brown and pink pressed up against him while shaking gently, it took a moment to realize that she was actually crying. "Neo." He managed to get out just above a whisper.

The multi colored girls head shot up to look at Fidelis giving him a clear view of her red bloodshot eyes, she'd clearly been crying quite a bit. The moment her eyes met his, he gave a small smile before she threw her arms around his neck while violently sobbing while never once making a sound. She continued to sob into his shoulder for several minutes while, with considerable effort, Fidelis stroked her hair and whispered into her ear.

After another ten minutes Neo sat back on the bed he laid on and flipped through several signs with her hands. 'I thought I'd lost you, you were on the ground with an arrow in your face and the dragon came and Roman picked me up and-'

Fidelis placed his hand over hers stopping the frantic gesturing. "I so sorry Neo." He squeezed her hand and smiled. "I promise, I'll never leave you alone." Fidelis looked around the room for a moment before finding what he was looking for. "Could you please bring me my fan real quick?" After a moment Neo nodded and walked over to his fan which was propped up in the corner, she struggle for a few moments to lift the gunbai as it weight almost if not more than she did. Fidelis couldn't help but chuckle as she dragged the giant fan to his bedside, she glared slightly at his laughter which only made him laugh harder.

Once she was back at the bed Fidelis grabbed the handle and began unscrewing a small section at the end, seconds later he pulled a small cloth out of the tiny compartment at the base of the handle. "In the coming months we have a lot of work ahead of us, and something tells me that shit show we just survived will have only been the tip of the iceberg. However, before we get started, I want to give you my oath that no matter what comes our way, I will always come back to you, and I will always love you." Neo listened as further tears welled up in her eyes, nobody had ever spoken this way to her in her life, and every fiber of her heart knew he was telling the truth. "I know we haven't know each other for more than a year, but I don't care. I love you more than I've ever loved anything else in my life."

Fidelis unwrapped the object which was revealed to be a platinum ring with a white crystal embedded in the top, and inside the crystal was a small swirling dark blue energy. "Neo, will you marry me?"

And I think I'll end this chapter here, I can already hear people raging that I'm having them get married. Don't worry, Fidelis will never stop being the insane badass he is, I've actually planned on him asked her to marry him for a very long time, also I'd like to thank Keeper Of The One Winged Angel for letting me use his OC Skoll, you'll be seeing him quite soon. My boy Mojo1586 for his continued allowance of my using Joel Ambrose, who will also continue to play a large role. And Xera Stark for her multiple OC contibutions. None of this would have been possible without everyones help. You guy fucking rock and I love yall. Leave me a review and tell me what you all think and look forward to the soon to come shenanigans. LATER.
