As Belle emerged dazed from the cockpit, stumbling slightly as the plane gently twitched in the air, as she attempted to make sense of what had just happened.

Her usually smart tongue had completely abandoned her as soon as she'd met the steely blue eyes of the young Captain. He'd originally met her gaze with such arrogance and intensity that he'd struck her dumb; no man, no matter how much they stared had ever done that to her before.

Ignoring the incessant happy chippering of Arthur, who seemed hell bent to know how she'd got on, she smiled in apology and as politely as possible closed the door to the toilet in his face.

Leaning heavily on the cheap metal sink as her heart rate slowly returned to normal, her eyes locked onto their own reflection in the mirror. Her pupils had blown causing her hazel iris to all but vanish. Slowly moving down across her own reflection, she noted the red tinge to her cheeks in a manner that hadn't appeared on them for many years and the similar tone of lips that had been recently nervously bitten.

'Why on earth are you acting like this? You utter fool.' she muttered to herself, willing the red to get the hell off of her face. Again the way Mar- no, the Captain, she corrected herself, flashed in her minds eye, instead however it was the way his own face had tinged itself a light pink as he looked at her from across the cockpit. The steel and cold arrogance that had been present within his eyes when he'd first laid them on her had all but vanished and instead he'd regarded her with intense curiosity.

'And attraction' a little voice inside her head piped up. Yes, she begrudgingly admitted, there was no denying that he had been looking at her in a way that in any other circumstances would be considered flirtatious. No, she hadn't helped matters with her foolish greetings when he'd offered her his real name but there was no denying his own flirtatious tone as he spoke to her nor the crackle of attraction that had come from him in waves.

She groaned, sitting lightly on the seat, nearly sliding off as the plane gave another twitch. Steadying herself with a hand on the bathroom wall she found her mood turning once again towards anger. No, there was no denying the tone of which he spoke to her and the more she thought about it, the more deeply unprofessional it seemed for the Captain of an aircraft to outright flirt with one of his passengers whilst the plane was in the air. This was even before she took into account the wife or girlfriend, of which he had he'd never confirmed, that was probably waiting for him back at home completely oblivious to her partners misdemeanors whilst flying over international lands. Who knows how often he'd cheated on her, how long he'd been stringing her along with the hopes of fidelity. Her initial reason for her journey to the cockpit once again sprung to mind, the way in which she had been spoken about, drooled over like some piece of meat and she realized that she had been so sidetracked by the Captains nature that she had never called him out on it.

Her anger now at full blast she raised her head, once more meeting her reflection.

'He needs to be taught a lesson' she all but growled.

Flinging the toilet door open the second it was unlocked, she charged once more past Arthur, whose pale blue eyes widened in confusion at the direction which she was travelling. Facing the cockpit door she breathed heavily, composing herself, knowing this time that she would give him a piece of her mind.

Martin was still thinking about the strange interaction with the woman when the first knock on the door came.

He had been absent-mindedly picking at the same piece of prawn from his sandwich for a good three minutes before Douglas had let out an elongated sigh and placed his own food down.

'Something on your mind Martin?' he drawled, knowing full well exactly what was on the younger mans mind.

Martin ignored him, continuing his thoughts as well as his repeated attack on what could barely be called seafood.

How could he have been so stupid? A beautiful woman doesn't wander into your cockpit everyday. Even more unlikely is the beautiful woman being single and on her way to one of the most romantic cities in the world… where he would staying the whole weekend… where she had basically said how she needed a date for a wedding … on Valentines Day no less.

'UggghhhhowcouldIbesostupid?' he groaned, echoing his own inner thoughts out loud. He placed his head in his hands and continued his noise until it became an unintelligible groan.

'So that's what's on your mind, how surprising…' uttered Douglas dryly. Martin looked up at him pointedly as the first knock rang through the door to the cockpit. Both pilots ignored it, continuing their stare off.

'Before you have a go at me for pointing it out. Yes. That was an incredibly stupid mistake to make.' Douglas said simply, dropping his eyes resuming his sandwich. Martin remained silent, the only noise in the room being the hum of the machines and Douglas's teeth crunching as he bit down into the L of his BLT.

Another slightly louder knock came through the door. Martin's eyes flickered towards it for a second before returning to Douglas.

'What was I supposed to do Douglas? Ask her out then and there? She probably gets hundreds of gibbering fools asking her out every day'. He fell silent as another knock sounded.

'Yes Martin that is very true' Douglas agreed, pausing for another knock. 'I can guarantee however that she doesn't have gibbering fools making up partners after they've been staring at her for ten minutes straight… One of us should probably get that'.

Martin glowered at him as he raised himself out of his seat and stomped towards the door. He knew he didn't really have anything to do with it but Martin needed to shout at someone and Arthur seemed as good a person as any.

'YE-' he started as he thrust the door outwards, stopping as he immediately heard a high pitched yelp of pain and the sound of someone falling heavily to the floor behind it. At the same time he looked up down the aisle meeting Arthur's face that was over by the galley and definitely not the person who was now sitting on the floor behind the door.

'Please don't be… please don't be…' Martin's voice chanted in his brain, knowing full well that knowing his luck the person behind was exactly who he feared it would be.

Slowly pushing it open more Martin peered around the door. Slowly hoisting herself to her feet as she pinched her now lightly bleeding nose, furious hazel eyes met his in a glare.

'Bugger' his internal voice muttered. Martin quite agreed.
